JR bbq is a very nice place to get some good food it’s very clean and the workers are very friendly the ribs are to die for and there always have very good special deals the fried fish is always fresh just how I like it keep up the great work

I had the pleasure of meeting J.R., yesterday, when I was working in Salem. I googled restaurants near me and took a chance on this place; they did not disappoint. This was THE best barbecue I'd ever eaten (even compared to the south). The ribs and chicken were juicy and the flavor permeated all the way to the bone. This place is a hidden gem; I'm an hour away and plan to make the drive back regularly.

UPDATED REVIEW: you clearly don’t know what heaven and good food are like until you have j.r barbecue. I had the best cheesesteak of my life. The meat was tender and flavored perfectly, had the exact amount of cheese that made it perfect and boyyyyyy don’t get me started on the fried onions on it. The pulled pork was SLAMMMMMINNNNNNNN. Word on the street is they’re going to be open 7 days a week which means I will go poor but at least I’ll be fed and happy. I literally bring a fork with me in the car when I know I’m getting barbecue. Everything is so delicious and flavorful. The meat is always so tender and never dry. And let me tell you the Mac and cheese omg. It’s heaven in your mouth.

I went to J.R Barbeque and was blown away by everything that i bought. The ribs were perfect and chicken was absolutely insane. It was soo good that i'm going to place a order and drive 1 hour to go get the food and bring it back to my house. Always amazing food. Best ribs and collard greens I've ever had. Whether it's the meat, seafood, or greens, I make sure to grab everything I can every time I'm around.

The owner is very personal and down to earth, the ribs are so delicious and tender. You won't be disappointed trust me.

We got 2 Rib platters and 1 chicken, with macaroni and cheese and green beans. We couldn't finish it all, it was great. Stopby Saturday or Sunday and see JR and his Father. They will treat you well and you will be back again. Nice and clean and friendly. And the price is reasonable for what you get...

The food was good from there I love the fish the greens the potato salad the piece of cake he gave me I love his barbecue food it's delicious and I recommend everybody try it Jr's barbecue.

I've driven past this place a thousand times but never stopped. I noticed they were open so I decided to go. Let me tell you this is some of the best BBQ I have had. I've traveled the BBQ belt down south and they are better than most places I have been. Really friendly with delicious BBQ, what else could you ask for?
