Julian's cider brewery is an amazing concept. I've been twice now on my returning visits to San Diego. The little town of Julian used to be just a beautiful drive up to the mountains of San Diego to enjoy some apple pie how Grandma would have made it. Now however there is a cider brewery also and they have a wide range of amazing flavors of ciders to choose from. One can even buy a flight of the ciders from two menu variants. They have their tried and true classics and a revolving door menu. So one can buy a flight of either menu or both so one can share easily this way and have a chance to try all their flavors. I didn't try the food and apparently they do live music on the weekends to which I have not yet attended. The atmosphere is very charming old western style and the patio has a beautiful view of the San Diego countryside. The service has been ok as maybe I just found the bar tender on an off day or maybe they are indifferent with tourists...not sure.

Not an issue of the establishment, but it was HOT outside.. we ordered two beer flights .. loved to sample...

First time here. Friendly staff, delicious drinks, and in Julian where I like to go to get away from San Deigo. I think I found a new favorite place. 😍 I didn't get any food, but still had a nice time. Just go and check it out. You'll not be dissatisfied.

Delicious ciders! I think the flight is pretty pricey at $18 for six 3-4oz pours, but it was fun. I liked the original, tiki torch, pearanormal, and there was a really good pink one with hibiscus and ginger.

Great hard cider! Love and hate that they change their flavors. Love it because you can never get tired of a flavor and hate it because when you really find a flavor you like, it's temporary based on season. Awesome overall! It's usually quiet here so service is excellent!

Nice experience to taste local cider.

What a beautiful place and a beautiful little town. A great tourist destination for all ages. Especially in the summer when you are trying to get out of the heat. We did not try the cider but we did have the amazing tacos at the Taco Shop inside.. Lots to see and buy, great gift shop

Tried two flights of hard cider to share Our favorite was apple pie and Carmel apple bought 2 small growlers to take on the road. Amazing service

This tasting room is very disappointing. The employees don't know much about the cider-making process, and they are very unfriendly. Also, not only are the apples not from the area but the cider itself isn't even made in Julian! An employee said the cider is made in Oregon and is sent down, so this is just an imported product taking advantage of the town's reputation to sell cider. Very deceitful. Also, you can only get 2-ounce tasters; you cannot get pints, and the bottles are as expensive as at any other store. Skip this place.

Best hard cider period, with different choices

The ciders here were awesome we did the specialty fight. It was $18 and included 6 ciders. It had a cozy vibe and would definitely go back.

Didn't have food. But love the fact that we could bring our dog.

The hard ciders are fun and the pineapple one in particular is delicious!

Don't wait to go last minute, sometimes they close earlier than usual (usually open until 6 p.m.). They have a great seating environment, both indoor and outdoor. My friend & I had both "Flights" available since we arrived around 3 p.m. & were told they were closing at 4 p.m. that day. Left with a satisfied pallet 😋 & a 32 oz bottle of their "Gold" ? Hard cider. Growlers also available.

I love coming here because you can get varieties of cider that don't normally get sold commercially by this company. Lovely place to come and have a drink, couldn't recommend enough!

A very friendly, bright and cheery local pub. There good at the Mexican restaurant in the same building.

They were packed and only had one person taking food orders. Only two all gender restrooms, so don't wait too long, lol. Plenty of Staff at bar though.

Located along the 79 in the Julian Station, you'll find a great selection of cider. The flight of 6 samplers ($18) is fun to share while seating on the front / back patio. In the Station, you'll also find a great taco shop... fun & relaxing atmosphere!

Came here to end our Julian trip with a cider flight! I love being able to try different ciders in case I don’t enjoy one I won’t have to worry about finishing a whole can. My favorite cider had always been the black & blue but I really enjoyed the pear cider as well! The room is on the small side but it’s such a great place to try out and take some cider home! Would definitely come here every time I visit Julian

Customer service was polite and friendly. I stopped in to buy 2 bottles to take home, regular apple and harvest apple. Years prior, once in a while I may not care for a specific flavor. This year, holy smokes were they both gross. Harvest was only slightly better than apple due to the spices. Both though were just awful. They tasted EXACTLY like heavily watered down slightly carbonated cheap apple flavored alcohol. So watery that I wont even describe them as wine. Barely carbonated, minimal flavor, and quality was subpar. I was shocked how bad they were. My other family member who shared them thought the same. We wont be buying Julian Hard Cider anymore. Yuck.

Pretty nice cidery. Prices for a flight were roughly $15-17. Lots of seating and plenty of parking.

Solid spot to get some good and fancy ciders. Staff is super friendly and the dog on staff is top notch. Good fireplaces to lounge next to on a cold day. Great place to visit post hikes

Great atmosphere, staff, food, wine, and cider!!

We drove over here on a whim and I'm so glad we did! The venue is ENORMOUS and it was fun looking around. We settled out on the patio and the view and fire pit made for a great evening. The ciders were absolutely delicious and we ended up getting flights of standard and special menu.

We loved the knowledgeable staff. They helped us select which cider to try by explaining each cider profile. I like that they use Julian apples and there's no added sugar. Makes me feel like it's "healthy" haha. It's a great time!

The bartender was snarky and rude, and when we asked about the different ciders she was condescending and had major attitude. It was not busy inside so its not like she had anyone waiting but acted like she didnt have time for us. The ciders we ordered were ok, but 3 different selections pretty much tasted the same, and more like watered down apple mimosas than ciders. Don't think I'd return after that experience.

Great food! We got the ribs. The potato salad was tasty. I believe homemade. We had the harvest apple hard cider....yum!
