Stopped in because my son wanted Bulgogi. He got it and the Korean Fried chicken. He enjoyed the bulgogi, but serving size is really small. For the price, I would have expected almost double the amount. The KFC were 1/2 wings but they were very large. Super crunchy. I got the Galbi tang. IMO, it was home made quality, not restaurant. Actually all the food was similar to homemade. As for the staff, wow! Our waitress was super friendly and fast! The girl who bussed our table was super nice too, though I don’t think she could speak English. She spoke to me in Korean, even when I answered her in English. I understand most Korean, but I can’t really speak it. Plus when I do, I speak Korean with a super thick southern draw with a lot of southern Korean slang. Haha I’m a Korean redneck! Well we go back? Based on my son, we sure will! Service was top notch!

I’ve been coming here for over 15 years and it remains the best Korean food in the state. The ladies here do such an incredible job with service and are very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend for both lunch and dinner with family, friends and business associates

I ordered takeout tteokbokki with seafood and added fish cakes. The person on the phone was very friendly and accommodating. The food was so delicious! Probably the best Korean in the area!

Wonderful experience, delicious food.

Food are nicely seasoned and some dishes have huge portions. This place is run by Koreans and the staff are very welcoming. I have been to this place multiple times and have overall good dining experience. I have tried many items from the menu. Some of my favorites are the dolsot (bulgogi, and spicy pork are great) , and kalbi tang. Most of the Dishes i tried were decent flavor and portion with good prices, except the pancake, it was crispy but ingredients is a bit disappointing . I had Kalbi Tang (short rib noodle soup), Dolsot (hot stone pot rice), pancake, tteokbokki, samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup),and japchae.

Really good Korean food! Friendly employees. Great environment. Looking forward to my next bimbim bap. I go weekly, and they never fail to serve up a delicious and plentiful lunch including plentiful side dishes. Reasonably priced.

This place doesn't have any customer service at all. I ordered last Friday 2 different plates to go, and once I got to my workplace, I noticed that they gave 2 orders of my coworkers' meal. I called them to notify them about this and they asked to go there and drop the order but unfortunately, my lunch break was over, so I couldn't do that neither go later because I worked all day that day. They apologies for what happened and told me I was going to have my money return, later that afternoon they called me again to tell me they "checked" the cameras and they didn't make any mistakes at all. I didn't know I had to take a picture of the order and send it to them in order for them to believe me. I just wanted what I ordered, and I wasn't calling to get free food, just what is right. I'll never put a foot in your business ever again, and I'll make sure none of my family friends do as well

Have been going to this restaurant for years. The son has taken over operations and the change is great. They close from 3pm to 4pm. I arrived about 2:45 so I ate late 😋 lunch with the staff. When in the area always stop.

Our go-to place in Delaware for delicious, authentic Korean food! We have tasted almost everything on the menu, from tofu stew, army stew, spicy pork, seafood pancake, juicy fried and steam dumplings, hot stone bibimbap,tteokbokki, chicken wings to Korean bbq. Everything we had was so good and they always hit the spot. For bbq, we especially would recommend short ribs, beef brisket, and rib eye. The ladies who work there are so friendly and attentive to the guests.

Love this place. One of my top 5 places to eat. Such great flavor. Bulgogi is tender and melts in your mouth. It's worth trying, it has never been a disappointment. The kids bento boxes are excellent choices at a great price.

I have traveled far and wide, and I can confidently say that Kalbi Asian Bistro serves the BEST Korean food in the entire country! Having been missing my hometown KBBQ, I was thrilled to discover this gem just 100 miles away. When I couldn't find Japchae anywhere nearby, the friendly young lady who answered the phone was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Her positive attitude set the tone for our visit. Upon entering the bustling restaurant, we were promptly seated despite the lively atmosphere. We placed our order and enjoyed our meal without feeling rushed, even though we found out they were closing soon after we arrived. The food arrived hot and delicious, drinks were constantly refilled, and our waitress provided exceptional service. I especially loved the playful interaction when I requested a to-go kimchi, with our waitress jokingly asking to see my plate to ensure I had finished my first serving. Auntie, I absolutely adore your food! I cannot wait to visit Kalbi Asian Bistro again and indulge in their amazing cuisine. Thank you for a memorable dining experience!

This place was great! I always drive past it but finally came here for a birthday dinner and they were excessively kind, accommodating, and attentive. The food was fantastic as well. It came out so quickly. The bulgogi tteokbokki was delicious, as well as the other dishes they had. Amazing, high spirited staff and great selection of Korean dishes for good prices. We will definitely be back and I can’t recommend this place enough.

We love their Jae Yook (pork) Bi Bim Bap served in a stone bowl… our favorite meal with scallion pancakes appetizer and Korean rice tea. The food comes out quick and hot every time, accompanied by little side dishes, and everything smells wonderful.

Reaaaally good food with big serving. FAST service. Loved the sides! The staff are also friendly.

Service was terrible. Only one good server that was basically taking care of the entire restaurant. The older ladies serving would ignore us and left us waterless and drinkless for 25 minutes once we sat down to eat. Someone thought they left their phone on the booth and called and was greeted with “we are closed” like they weren’t listening to what we were trying to say or even trying to understand.. also got racist vibes against white and black from the Asian workers.

Decided to go to Kalbi with my daughter for an early Valentine's Day dinner. It was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. We will be having our leftovers for dinner tonight!

We waited over an hour to be seated and when we checked on the status they said they completely forgot about us. We wanted to do BBQ and they kept insisting on seating us on a regular table.

My fiancé and I had the best time at this restaurant celebrating our anniversary and other good news! It was our first time trying traditional Korean food and it was the best experience! We had traditional Korean seafood pancake for our appetizer and for our main meals we each got a beef dish and seafood dish that both sizzled when we received them! The miso soup was out of this world with a full bodied and rich taste too ^_^ I loved the kimchi and all of the other side dishes! Our server, Nami, was a joy and helped us understand the best things to try and was very attentive! Thank you, Kalbi! You made our dinner time very special and you’re now a favourite spot of ours!

There are too many yummy foods to choose from. 🤩 We were celebrating Hubby becoming a US citizen and couldn’t think of another place to celebrate at than this amazing restaurant. Excellent food! Hard to leave here hungry. With your meal you are given a variety of endless sides. The hot stone rice bowls are great. The appetizer miso soup should be available in large quantities,it’s so good.

I’ve order here many times and dined in a few times. It’s the most authentic you can get in Delaware. It’s so delicious and I like that you can order online through their website easily. I highly recommend Kalbi jjim. So delicious and savory. Their japchae, jjajangmyeon, and wings are really good too.

wilmington gem. my go-to favorites are the seafood pancakes, chicken wings (always so crispy!), jjajangmyeon, and soon tofu soup (seafood is my usual). the service is always top notch - the aunties are always so nice and accommodating. the entire place is clean (bathrooms included!). my husband and i come here about once or twice a month. the northern delaware community is lucky to have KAB around.

We went there 8 of us. We ordered 3 appetizer and 5 meals. The waiter gave us attitude, by taking the menu rudely. And at the end the charge 22% gratuity. Is it even Legal charging 22%? We went there so many time. And we were so dissapointed with what they did to us.

This is my second time visiting Kalbi and they did not disappoint! The staff is so friendly and very attentive. They help you cook the bbq, which is great so you don't accidentally overcook or undercook the meat. The Korean BBQ always turns out perfect with their help. The tteokbokki was amazing, not too overly spicy and so flavorful! Everyone is so friendly and nice there and the atmosphere is great. This is the best Korean BBQ I've had in DE so far, I will be visiting again!

I never had Korean food before so I was very hesitant at first, I am a very extremely picky eater but this place has amazing dishes- Korean food is now my favorite food. The ribeye rice food was amazing and it had tremendous amount of flavor in it. But the best dish is actually their seafood pancake appetizer it is amazing! The staff is very kind and the food is amazing- this place will not disappoint at all.

This is the best restaurant close to the newark area. I will always drive 30 min to eat their delicious food. When I'm stressed about work I would definitely crave for their food to lift my spirit up. Food and service are great. I always have a great time and leave the place with a happy face. My boyfriend and I love this place. Favorite dishes are rib eye, bulgogi dolsot, steamed eggs, wings, bulgogi Tteokbokki.

We stopped here while driving north from Maryland. We ate the hot stone bimbimbap, scallion pancake, jajamyun. They had alot of other things on the menu. More than what is listed online. Everything was fast and delicious. The family that owns this was super smiley, nice, sweet, energetic, and attentive. Always nice to be paid attention to. We loved eating here.

Such a nice place for Korean food! I always come here with my Korean friend; they have lunch specials that are great. This time, we got the kimchi jjigae and pork in a stone bowl. Both came out delicious and warm. And alongside a nice spread of banchan. Service was great except that they could have taken the check a bit sooner!

Got chicken yakiudon to go at lunchtime. The staff was friendly but preoccupied with the dine in customers. Didn’t care for the side dishes & there were maybe 3 pieces of chicken in it..which were tough. Noodles were ok, nothing spectacular. Not much flavor. I asked for soy sauce packets & was told they didn’t have any. It was edible, but for the price I wouldn’t go back there.

A really great, authentic Korean restaurant! They have a good selection of soups, rice, noodle dishes, as well as bbq! I've been going here since I was a kid and it's been consistently really delicious with fast service. Shout out to Young's grocery next door if you are interested in some desserts or ingredients to make some Korean dishes yourself too!

It has been years since we visited this updated restaurant. The decor and seating were comfortable, the service was impeccable, friendly, and very helpful. The food was served quickly and was delicious. The kimchi and scallion pancake was crispy and full of flavor. The wings were large and perfectly crispy coated deliciousness. The Bibimbap was delicious as well. Don't skip adding the red sauce for that punch of spicy umami. We'll definitely be back again!

It's a nice spot. I have come here a few times, but the last time I came to pick up my take out was not the best experience. I paid the girl and picked up my bag of food that she pointed out to me and walked out. Almost to my car the other lady who is usually there ran out after me asking if I paid, and wanting to take the bag from me. Not a good feeling. Idk why she didn't just ask her coworker to confirm before doing that. Anyway kalbi tang and bbq ribs is good.

I love this place so much. All the food is good and delicious. They have a good portion of food and good price as well. We went super late and they were able to accommodate us till late. We really appreciate that. And this is now one of my favorite stores and I do want to go back and try more. We had a seafood jungol that had so many kinds of seafood including crab. And we had a good bbq combo 3 very good portions for a large party.

Oh my God! We went yesterday. And it was so good we didn't even take pictures. So, wings are like crack! Crispy and the best flavor I wanted to lick the sauce off the plate. There was a claypot rice dish with crispy rice at the bottom and bulgogi on top and so damn yummy! I think it's called boldat or something. Omg so good I can't wait to eat it for lunch today. Also the staff was so nice, it was busy but they were all so sweet and kept checking on us that I'm mad I live in DMV and this is in DE. Best mom & pop I have been to in a while!!!!

I’ve had Korean food once before in my life so I cannot speak for authentic but it was tasty food, and from what I feel it was Korean food and not Americanized at all (which I love) We ordered Tofu Jjlgae and Haemul Dolsot , both spicy and honestly we could easily handle more spice but the food was hearty and delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant, the was staff polite and I appreciated them being careful to serve me only the vegetarian side dishes. And the side dishes are delish as well. They have a few vegetarian options as well, which I love. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming here again. Our bill was $29 ($16+$13), love the DE no tax system. Lol

This is my favorite go to spot for Korean food for takeout. It’s a bit far from home but it always hits the spot. They are consistent and you can count on them to make the food the same way every time. I probably go here too often. One day, I will dine in and try their kbbq options. My favorite: bibimbap, seafood pancake

The Korean dishes are delicious and authentic. The price is reasonable. The servers are very friendly and attentive. We got the mini yogurt drinks when getting the bill which is a lovely gesture. I would love to try Korean BBQ next time!

Delicious Korean BBQ with grills built into the table. Everything is family style, so be prepared to share. Beer and wine served. Go here if you like BBQ, fantastic.

My favorite Korean BBQ place. The staff is always accommodating, attentive and friendly. The food is amazing! My favorite appetizers are the wings and seafood pancake. My favorite entree is the Jaeyook (spicy pork) dolsot, but recommend any dolsot that has the protein you prefer. The korea bbq is soooooo good and comes with steamed egg and soup. Be sure to ask for red bean paste to cook any leftovers in, the staff recommended it and I will never not ask now. Highly recommend Kalbi to anyone!
