The best place to get smoked meats! I have never had homemade hot dogs like Mikowski's! Fast, friendly and wonderful staff. The best place to get your deer processed!

Hunters Beware, These guys are NOT prepared to process deer. they are short staffed and no one wants to work for them as they did hire some guys and some walked off after a day. I took my deer in during Bow season during 3rd week of October 2023 and I was quoted 7 days. On the 8th day I called and was told it was not ready??? I then asked why and some younger rude A H*le said it will be now 14 days. I said I was told 7 days. He said I was misquoted and their standard is 10-14 days and it’s going to be all of the 14 days. I said if I was told that upfront I would’ve taken my deer elsewhere. He basically said tough n arguing wasn’t going to change it. I said if you are not going to honor what you quoted then I will pick up my deer meat as it was only skinned n quartered at this point and I would finish it myself and he said I would still have to pay the full price of the $190 processing fee even though it wasn’t done. He was rude, and argumentative. I said that was wrong and he said he wouldnt release my meat unless I paid in full. I said I’m willing to pay for the skinning and the quartering and he said full price. So he was holding my meat as blackmail. I felt very uneasy about having my meat sit in their cooler for 2 weeks. Never experienced that before? I don’t leave meat I buy in a store sit in my fridge for 2 weeks as it will go bad n I’m sure others don’t either. They then call me the next day and tell me to pick up. (Which I did appreciate them doing vs waiting til 14 days) They didn’t complete the order and told me to take it away. So after 9 days of waiting I still got to deal with the incomplete meat. ( which they meant it to be jerks but it turned out to be a blessing for me instead) I also got the least amount of meat back from a processor that I’ve ever seen? If they can’t process deer in a timely fashion n take 2 weeks during bow season imagine what gun season is going to be like? In my opinion one’s meat is going to rot waiting for them to do it as rifle season is 10x busier than bow. No wonder they can’t get any help because in my opinion they suck! Also just a heads up I was going to get them to make summer sausage out of some of my meat. They told me 4-6 weeks until that comes back. I got that part of my meat back which was 10lbs and took it to another processor and he said less than a week for my summer sausage, which is normal from all my experience at other places. 6 weeks to make summer sausage?? Hell that’s just In time for New Year’s Eve??? I’ve taken a deer in during rifle and not bow like this at other places and have my sausage back by thanksgiving. Only Good thing that’s come out of this is that I now found a different high quality processor that has normal processing times and I will be eating my summer sausage instead of it sitting in their cooler for the next 6 weeks so that’s the best part of them giving me my meat back, The other place had plenty of staff there when I dropped off my meat also fyi…. I’m going to be eating my summer sausage next week vs it sitting with these guys for the next 6 weeks. And yes the new place only uses your own meat when they make the sausage. This place said same thing to justify why it takes up to 6 weeks to make it. So don’t be fooled when they tell u that. Other places do the same but in way less time fyi… In due fairness to these guys what Little meat I did get back as I only wanted the backstraps and steaks and the rest hamburger and I mean I only got about half back from what I thought i should have, it was processed properly with no silver skin and packaged good. But I will never be back there again. So whatever date range they tell you it will be the later side of the range 100%. So if they say 10-14 days. Count on 14-16 days as they are short staffed. If you’re good with waiting this long for your meat and to come in light then In due fairness to them you will be fine.

Always a happy staff... Great experience everytime. Keep going back for the chicken and pizza.... Still the number one chicken and meat place in the tri county area

Idk who has been making the the tuna salad here but it’s absolutely disgusting now, literally no tuna, and an excessive amount of mayonnaise. Prices look like they have doubled. Been coming here for a while now but am officially gonna have to call it quits. The excessive mayonnaise did it for me.

The habanero mango sausage is amazing!

Second time I ordered fresh kielbasa and they sold it to someone else they said.the whole point of ordering it a week early is to get it I don't know how anyone can stay in business this way.because of this you lost a faithful customer I'll go elsewhere where I know I will get what I ordered.

The wedges and hotdogs are the best! We have noticed that the food has been dry the past few times we went but that might be because its after 5pm. Great prices and great staff!

It has been years since we ran across this place up near Traverse City and decided to go look them up in Interlochen to get our kishka fix. They still did not disappoint us. I love kishka, he up on it and it isn't easy to find any more. Their polish sausage is out of this world as well. They had a special holiday pinwheel sausage that we would buy again. We haven't found anything we don't like from there. Only thing we don't like is they are in Interlochen and we are easy of Grand rapids.

The absolute best jerky around.. They also have great fried chicken, their employee's are top notch..

Pre ordered my favorite hot dogs from there, chili cheese. I live almost 2 hours from Mikowski's and it's worth the drive.

Staying in the area from O H I O and we needed some meat to grill. What wonderful selection. The dogs and brats were great tasting along with all the sides too. They have large selection of precooked food so we ended up buying our lunch there. The people there very friendly.

Owners are very kind, considerate & friendly. Highly recommended!

What a cool surprise while out wheeling. Great lunch, table outside was nice to sit down for a minute. Tried the smoked cheddar hot dog and some ribs. Both excellent. Grabbed some breakfast sausage for the next morning. Glad we carry a cooler.

Mikowski’s Meat market is an awesome market. We are so lucky to have this gem in the Interlochen area. It is great to see a business that has top notch customer service. We are always 100% satisfied every time we have them process our meats. We will continue to refer and recommend them to everyone.

He might have a very small number of rivals in Northern Michigan but no one does it better. Opinions vary, but my number one pick for sure. They are also in my top 3 pizza places list

Ordered from here for my kid's graduation party and it was great. The food was hot when I picked it up, well packaged and very tasty. Got lots of comments on how good the food was.

Purchased rib eyes, bacon, and hamburger. Just grilled the steaks, and though I did marinade them, they were one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. As was the hamburgers. Juicy and a ton of flavor. Super tender. Nothing at all like supmarket meat. Will always purchase meat from there whenever I'm in the area. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of meat. Highly recommend purchasing fresh meat from here. Have not tried any of the prepared foods yet.

Amazing. There selection is extensive. I don't like having anyone process my deer, but me. Now that being said i am no longer able to do it myself so I let them process for me one year, and they did an amazing job and they are the only ones that I will let process my deer from now on.

Oh my goodness, chili cheese stuffed hotdogs in a bun or by the pound. Low salt hotdogs the same way! Sundays, smoked hams and ribs. Fantastic quality and prices on fresh meat.

Absolutely one of my favorite places. The smoked chickens on Saturday are a family favorite and the jerky here is worth travelling for!

This place is a must!!! Jerky is standard good and regular expensive jerky prices, but the hot dogs are amazing, some have sauerkrat ground into them, the chili cheese dogs are amazing too, or the regular smoked dogs. The smoked chickens are to die for!!!! Amazing price, like $3.69 a lb, so about $10 for a whole chicken.

Disappointed but then I'm used to authentic Polish food from Hamtramck. It it could be what you're used to.

Incredible smoked meats!!! They serve hot food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Soups, broasted chicken, chili. Everyday they have something different for lunch and dinner and it's amazing! They also process deer, bear, and things you hunt. Amazing staff, family owned and operated!

A family run store. The people are so nice. The chicken is really good and reasonably priced. We go there all the time now :) But they have tons of other stuff too.

This small neighborhood convenience store surprised me with excellent quality fresh and smoked meats. We recently moved close by and have picked up steaks and roasts a few times. The quality has always been outstanding, much better than your average supermarket.

Defiantly my all time favorite meat market in Grand Traverse County. Roger brought Cedar Style homemade meat to the South Side of the County and we couldn't be happier. Saturday is my favorite as that's the day they have hot dogs in the case fresh from the smokehouse usually in a variety of flavors Cheese - Jalapeno - Kraut - and what ever Roger and staff thinks up. ...Then there is the Jerky - Hot -Sweet- Mild - Cherry - and now JAVA ...WILD STUFF AND OH SO GOOD !

This is a must-stop for jerky lovers. We have been stopping here on the way home for about 30 years. Mr. Sorna is back and his jerky is outstanding. They also have an excellent delicatessen and food supplies for camping or the cottage. Thank you, Sorna family!
