Quite small compared to the location on Charles St, but very delicious buffet. Adding them to my Indian buffet list 😁

Delish food! Everything we ate on the buffet was great. The server was kind and the price is amazing. We will definitely be visiting again.

It’s a small place and was empty so didn’t know what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed by the food. First, I was surprised to see a strawberry lassi since I usually only see mango. It was delicious!! I ordered the lamb biriyani with garlic naan. The food came quickly and was delicious as well! The lamb was tender and well flavored and the biriyani was seasoned to perfection and not as dry as typical biriyani! Absolutely recommend this place and hope to return!

Nice and beautiful environment, good service but the food wasn’t as tasty as it supposed to be. Momo served to us were not fully cooked and I left half of them in the table. Rest of food was good though.

I ate lunch buffet, quality and taste are very bad on top of it the staff is very rude. Chicken and goat curries were probably at least couple of days old .Pictures on google maps looks like it’s a big restaurant but it’s a very small and not hygiene.

Nice dinner, big portions, very well done, and not too spicy. My wife had the veggie Thali, which she enjoyed, and I had the Korma, which was good, chicken was quite moist. In all a pleasant experience, and at $46, easy on the wallet.

The food here was some of the best Nepali food that I have eaten in the city. The prices were extremely reasonable. We loved everything that we have gotten here. We asked the waiter if he could help us find something vegan, and we were elated that they were very knowledgeable and accommodating to what we wanted to order. They said it would be no problem to leave out the milk/butter from some of the vegetarian entrees. We got medium level spicy, which was not too spicy but definitely had a kick. I couldn't have been more pleased with the waiter's professionalism and help.

Quick service - about 20 minutes from ordering to being in my hands ready to take out. The food is delicious. I've liked several of their mains but the tikka masala is my favorite. The only thing I have not liked on the menu was the meat samosa. I always order a side of rice because otherwise I don't have enough for the meal. The portions ae otherwise great. One meal, an extra rice, and an order of naan is enough for me to get a dinner and 2 lunches out of it.

Place very small, has limited buffet and no longer sells other dishes during the lunch day. Many buffet items were cold and crusted over and offered one or two vegan options. Ordinary restaurant with nothing special here and nothing to write home about. Not recommended and not returning.

Kumari is more like Nepalese than Indian food but there is some overlap in the cuisine. You have to be open to new experience and flavours. This place has one of the best lunch buffets I’ve ever had and it was under twenty bucks. That seems impossible in the post pandemic world but it’s a reality here. Great place that I wish was near my home so I could go every single week.

Fake Indian it’s not real Indian they are Nepali food which is totally different it’s funny to see how they it’s Indian but it’s not they are lieing to people

Wonderful food and very accommodating

While my husband and I haven't had the chance to experience the buffet at Kumari in Fed Hill yet (which we're eagerly looking forward to), we've made ordering takeout from there a regular part of our dining routine, and it never fails to impress. One of our absolute favorite items to order from Kumari is their chicken Momos. These little pockets of deliciousness are a taste sensation, with flavorful filling and perfectly steamed dumpling wrappers. They're a must-try for anyone who enjoys Nepalese cuisine. Consistency is key, and Kumari delivers on that front every time we order. The quality of the food, even for takeout, is top-notch, and we appreciate the attention to detail in every dish. While we eagerly anticipate the day when we can indulge in Kumari's buffet, our takeout experiences have solidified it as one of our go-to restaurants in Fed Hill. If you're a fan of Nepalese and Indian cuisine or just looking for a fantastic meal, Kumari should definitely be on your list.

One of our favorite places to eat in Baltimore. Good food, good prices, not too spicy like some Indian restaurants.

Excellent food, they added a chutney sauce with chicken and we loved that. The noodles had too much curry flavor in it, but eventually the blended taste was perfect with medium spice level. Overall great experience, and they have desi milk tea cha! Parking available infront of the store, and price arent too bad!

Food arrived hot and quickly. The tikka masala was unfortunately terrible, the worst of my life. No spices, there must be loads of sugar and red food coloring added. Stay away.

Coworker got the chicken korma delivered for lunch. The smell alone made me try it!! So flavorful and delicious 😋😋 Definitely our new go to for lunch.

This location is absolutely 🗑️ I eat Indian on the regular and the fish Tikka masala was horrible it had no taste and was very watery I even ordered the Goan fish curry and that was trash 🗑️ tasted more like regular curry idk what happened with the cook but I would never order from here again… the location in mount Vernon is amazing stay away from the one in fells point I spent over 150$ and it was the worst experience

I don’t know whether the Fort Avenue location is the one that delivers through grub hub/Uber Eats. The food is ordered online was really great- both the momos and the biryani. However, the buffet should be avoided at all costs. We went on Black Friday and we’re the only people in the restaurant. The food was STALE and just warmed up. The samosas were hard and crusty, the mint chutney had excess food colouring and/or celery and tasted nothing like what it should. There was just ONE vegetarian option - aloo matar and it lacked in flavor too. The only “sweet dish” called kheer was neither sweet nor fresh. It’s surprising they decide to keep the restaurant open and serve leftovers for a full price when they are aware that nobody usually comes in the day after thanksgiving (the guy at the counter himself admitted it!). Not worth it at all.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. The lunch buffet is an incredible deal, and the food is consistently great. It’s truly a hidden gem in the neighborhood!

Ordered take out here twice. The first time I ordered kadai paneer medium spicy which was really well done with a good amount of spice. Tried paneer tikka masala the second time around, but it was awful. I ordered it to be medium spicy and it weirdly turned out sweet, with minimal masala flavour. Not sure what they were trying to do there.

I’ve given it multiple chances. Not good I gotta call this one. No more chances.

Amazing restaurant. Steer clear of the okra dish (not bad, but overly salty and very one note), but everything else I've tried here is better than good. Affordable and awesome! Special shoutouts to the garlic Naan, all the lassis, the vegetarian sampler, the chicken momo, the goat...

Perhaps it was an "off night" at Kumari, but the food was simply not good. We ordered Paneer Tiki Masala, a caluflower dish, and the chili chicken-- all were sub-par. The chicken, notably, was dry and seemed day-old. The cauliflower wasn't very hot (temp wise) and the panner was lacking flavor. I'm not sure that we will try again. There are much better options in Baltimore.

Go elsewhere horrible service, absolutely terrible! As a local I try many restaurants this place definitely is low on the list for service and quality of food.

We grabbed some chicken momo and onion pakoda. Although the sauce/achar for momo was spicy, it was too good. The chutney for pakoda was ok but pakoda overall wasn't the best i'd say.

I always order for delivery or pick-up here. The delivery guy is ALWAYS nice! The food is SO GOOD!! I always get the veggie things like Mixed Vegetable Curry, Mixed Vegetable Pasanda, Malai Kofta, etc - all of which are BANGIN! I love how you can customize level of spicy from mild to extra spicy (which is RIDICULOUSLY spicy)! I only wish they had vegan options for those delicious creamy dishes for those of us with lactose intolerance <3

This is our go to spot whenever we are in Baltimore. You gotta come here. They allow you to BYOB. Their food is incredible. Their portions are perhaps too generous. Get their tandoori chicken. Get anything!

We have visited Indian restaurants across at least 8 states and two countries. We have NEVER been served food as bad as what we were served from this place. We ordered Lamb Curry and Lamb Jalfrezzi. We have ordered these same dishes at several other Indian restaurants. However, what we received here tasted nothing like Indian restaurant food and was very oily. It was so bad, that we threw more than 3/4 of the entrees away. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

Lamb Curry (get it spicy if you can handle it) and order like 1000 naan! My mouth is watering just writing this review. Might have to order it tonight!

It’s not my all-time favorite, but it holds a special place in my heart for serving AMAZING gobi manchurian - it’s like General Tso’s chicken and cauliflower pakora had a baby! (Which is basically what happened.) The samosas, momo, and roti are also stars.

This was a random discovery last night after visiting another store within the shopping center and I am thrilled we did so. Because of the pandemic we ordered dinner to go and i truly look forward to returning when we can dine in again as the attended served us with a smile and perfect attention. As for the specifics of my dinner, I had the Channa Marsala and my Fiancee had the Lamb Aloo Saag - both with a Naan... of course. It was delicious! Ate all of the overly generous portion and joyful felt overstuffed for the rest of the evening. I just could not stopped myself. Clearly we will return again to enjoy another option on the menu... if I can avoid the Channa Marsala that is.

The takeout food was SO good! This was my first time trying this place though I live in Federal Hill for over a year. Naan was large and flavorful, I got a regular and whole wheat one. Both were great and packaged well for takeout. Chicken salad was very filling, there was so much chicken in the plate, there was barely any veggies, which is ok with me since I like protein. Veggie samosas were amazing! There are 2 for each order, not one as it says when you order online. Momo dumplings were ok but, I think, I would only get them next time if I’m eating in, they get cold and lose flavor. Overall great food, I would be going back more often now.

I have eaten Indian food the world over, but this sets the bar. A perfect meal for two is the chicken tikka masala and the palack paneer; the sweet, spicy and salty marry perfectly. Meals come with basmati rice, but get a couple of orders of garlic naan ... Another spectacular pairing.

Fresh, tasty Indian! First time ordering from Kumari...wasn't sure what to expect. But, we ordered five different items - some chicken and some veg. All were very good - garlic naan was on point and portions were decent for the price. Would recommend.

Excellent excellent food! I usually am very hard to impress with Indian food since I grew up eating South Indian dishes made by mom and grandma that can’t be beat. I will say this, cute restaurant, great ambience, staff is great and the food is flavourful! Reminds me of my grandmas cooking. Thank you for the wonderful meal you guys. We’re only in town for a few days but wish we had a proper Indian restaurant like this close to where we live. HIGHLY recommend for anyone who’s looking for authentic Indian dishes. We ordered very spicy for both the bhindi masala and chicken vindaloo. Def a good level of spice but not too much that you can’t really taste your food (if you get what I mean)

I have been to both locations many times, and while I feel the food is better at the Charles St location, this one is easier to pop in and eat when I am traveling through Baltimore. If I was going out to dinner with friends, I would choose the other location. I was craving momo for a few weeks, and while mine is better, it is better than most restaurants that have momo. I happened to be traveling through Baltimore and HAD to stop to get momo. This time I had the potato Achar too. Was not as good as normal, but was still yummy. Maybe this trip I was not feeling as well and that was why I didn’t enjoy the food as much as in the past. The Papad and the onion chutney are amazing, almost worth the trip just for that.

I stopped in with a friend from out of town who "always eats out" and wanted something other than the usual Chipotle. I decided to try this place on the recommendation of a friend who swears by it and we were not disappointed. We really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. It was flavorful, fresh and reasonably priced. The dining room has nice decor and is small but clean and comfortable. I'd like to stop back in when I'm a bit hungrier. The service was friendly and prompt and there's plenty of easy parking since it's in a strip mall.

First time dining here. The best Garlic Naan I've tasted in Baltimore. Perfect balance of soft and crunchy with garlic and hint of salt. I didn't plan on writing a review, so my picture of naan is after started eating. I paired this with tikka masala dish and it was delicious. I would reccomend trying this restaurant. I'll be back for lunch buffet.

Great food. The tea was spicy which I was not expecting but it was very good still. The mild sauce seed to also be extremely spicy but was really great too.

I loved this place. It’s truly a gem. I stumbled upon this place by accident after visiting the UPS store and it was fantastic. The food was really delicious filled with spice and freshness. The best Indian food I tried so far and the prices are extremely reasonable. The service was also nice. I would recommend finishing off your meal with some tea.

I’ve only ever gotten carry out here, but it’s the best Indian/Nepali food I’ve had anywhere and damn near the best food I’ve had in Baltimore generally. The Tandoori Salmon is a revelation. Always left wondering why I don’t come back more often.

The chicken mo-mo app was an amazing little dumpling! So good. I had the goat curry, it was okay, a bit gamey and really boney. Sauce was very oily. I seek goat out any place to can. Friend had Napali tarcari. Very good!

I only ever get Baigan Bhartha and garlic Naan bread but both are delicious every time. Really tasty. Prices are quite reasonable too. The portions are large so one order is great for both lunch and dinner. Glad this place has a location in south Baltimore. Have used Door Dash to have this delivered and the service fee, delivery fee, taxes and tip are steep on top of the food prices. That's a Door Dash issue and not the restaurant's but I suppose it's the price you pay for convenience!

Very reasonable price with multiple items including various meat curry, fish fry, prawns curry, vegetables, lentils. The hot samosa with salad and sauces was very tasty and fresh. I specially like the curry cucumbers salad, what a combination ! Finally dessert and tea will make you to feel a complete feast! I want to go there again.

It is a Nepali restaurant and the food is really fresh, nicely spiced, and great. They replenish the stock pretty often. The waitress is also very pleasant.

We go for the lunch buffet often. It is really good food and a great value. Good selection of vegetarian, seafood, and chicken dishes and occasional other things. Always have hot chai and a dessert too. They seem to have a carry out option for the buffet with a fixed price (not by weight) I haven't done that before though.

Took my niece to try.I loved the buffet, but her not so much. She's 14. Needless to say I will be back. The waiter also only charged for 1 buffet meal which I really appreciated.

Great food, limited selection, but worth the buffett price. Definitely not as fancy as other indian buffett in Baltimore, but it is good for its money's worth and VERY TASTY (the shrimp whatever dish was sooooo good). You can also do take-out - just put anything you like into the container they give you, and ask for naan on the side. One container usually means two meals for me.
