I love the food here. The margaritas and fajitas are my favorite. The staff is amazing and it is an all-around great atmosphere.

My family and I have been coming to La Fogota Mexican Restaurant on Northlake Blvd for 25 years. Edwin and his team have made this our home away from home. The food and the service are top notch! A good place to forget your troubles and fill your belly. Nos vemos aquí.

La Fogata is our favorite Mexican cuisine around. We frequent there weekly for our fix of amazing 2-for-1 margaritas, the best homemade salsa I've ever had, the loaded queso dip is to die for and their fajitas will make ypu weak in the knees! Been coming here for years, will continue to support this amazing restaurant. The owner is extremely hospitable and always on the ball. We always enjoy our La Fogata dinner outings!

Good food but about 30% higher in pricing than you should pay for the same cuisine at a similar restaurant. Service was great. Food was hot and tasty. Just wondering why it commanded that kind of pricing? Are the tacos waygu beef? $20 for a small taco and an even smaller enchilada is a tad heavy... I do give points for responding to the review, but I was using round numbers. Yes, its $16.95 for a smallish combo platter. You use Sysco and/or Cheney for your supplies so your cost on a taco and enchilada is about 50 cents. You don't provide anything special, no cilantro or other garnishment that would warrant a premium. Also, I have been to probably a few hundred restaurants in my life and have never seen a charge for chips and salsa refill (when you are obviously ordering dinner.) I stand by my comments. Your plate of food has a food cost of under 3 bucks. Even with rent and utilities most places charge in the $10-15 range for a double or triple "combo" with rice and beans. I still do not get the extra $6-10 charge for the same exact meal. Sorry to offend, but that is just my observation. In a nutshell prepare to bust out another 30% more to eat here then you would at a dozen other places serving the exact same dishes within 20 miles of here. If I encountered hand made tortillas, or some other gourmet touches that accounted for the upcharge, my comments would be moot. But the fact is, it is identical to every other Mexican place, no better, no worse. The only difference is the added pesos...

I usually come here literally after work in my scrubs HUNGRY! And I’m always satisfied either at the bar or the restaurant side. The food is amazing. The staff is great and the owner is such a sweetheart. ♥️♥️♥️

Place is really dirty on the inside. My steak tasted like horse feet. The rice was literally as hard as a rock and the queso dip was soup definitely wouldn’t recommend. I also got extremely sick when I got home from the food.

Located at a strip mall, the restaurant is nicely decorated in Mexican style. Service is great and friendly, serving with a smile even though we have about 10 people. The food is average and their lunch specials are only for Monday through Friday.

So awesome to find good Mexican food this far from Texas. Chips and salsa were on point. Fajitas were mouth watering and excellent. Even the pico de gallo had a kick to it. Atmosphere was a winner too.

After reading a few not so great reviews, we decided to go and try. Food was very good, prices were good. We got 3 entree’s with beans and rice for 20$. Chips and salsa were good as well at no extra charge. We will be returning!

Food is good, but why charge an extra two dollars for an additional salsa when your burritos are $19 each? No, the burritos are not worth $19 - you should give a BOWL of salsa to the table at that price. Definitely will not return. Better Mexican food in the area for about 10 to 12 bucks a plate. Don’t waste your time.

My 3rd time coming here each time I wasn’t treated like I was welcome and the girl at the bar was rude she look young don’t look over the age of 21 to be serving liquor I came in with my work uniform on I’m a Armed Security but I left my firearm at home my holster on my waste visible u can see I don’t have my firearm as I sat down and and figured out what I wanted the rude young lady behind the bar left and went and got this guy the guy came back ask me was I ready to ordered as I pointed at the Beria tacos he ask me do I have a gun on me I show him my empty holster and ask him why would he ask me that I’m in my work uniform say he has to make sure I wonder if I was a different race would he have ask the same thing I cancel the food ordered and paid for my margarita I will not come back each time I had a bad experience I like the food but the service must get better

Saw the reviews and wanted to try it out. Food was not seasoned the chilie was burnt rice no flavor. The pork tasted as if it was cooked a month ago and reheated.

Very fast and friendly service. Food and drinks come out quickly and it’s def the best Mexican restaurant locally. Super tender pork in the burrito with the kind of flavor you only get by cooking something for hours. Margs were 2 for 1.

Maaaan.....I don't know about this one. I love me a Mexican cuisine, but....I didn't like their food. Let me just say that it wasn't bad, I'm just saying it wasn't good to ME. The skirt steak (medium well) was rough, chewy, and under seasoned. The drinks were sweet...that's all I got. I did see a bar next door, I didn't try it out. I just need then to tighten up a smidge on the food. Also, they have street corn, I don't personally go for it, but I know ppl that really like it.

I had an amazing time at La Fogata! The place feels cozy and real, just like you're in Mexico. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the manager, Edwin. You have to try the Piña Colada – it's so good. And the Churrasco? Perfectly cooked and super tasty. If you want great food and service, La Fogata is a top pick. Highly recommend!

Local staple! I love the Happy Hour and they have the best bartenders. The diversity of the menu is awesome and has something for everyone (shout out to the Mole sauce, yum) and the helpfulness of the staff is pure excellence.

Disappointing Experience - Bad Food and Unfriendly Service I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at La Fogata, on nothlake and I must say, it was incredibly disappointing. Not only was the food subpar, but the server's unfriendly demeanor made the entire visit even more unpleasant. Let's start with the food. The dishes we ordered lacked any semblance of authentic Mexican flavors. The taste was bland, and it felt like the ingredients used were of low quality. The salsa tasted like tomato paste. It was evident that minimal effort was put into the preparation and presentation. The overall quality of the food simply did not meet the standards one would expect from a Mexican restaurant. To make matters worse, the server we encountered was far from friendly. From the moment we walked in, we were met with a cold and unwelcoming attitude. The server seemed disinterested in assisting us and was dismissive when we had questions about the menu. Their lack of professionalism and basic courtesy left us feeling neglected throughout the entire meal. A restaurant experience should be enjoyable, and sadly, La Fogata failed to deliver. The combination of tasteless and poorly executed dishes, along with the server's unfriendly attitude, left a lasting negative impression. It's disheartening to see a restaurant that doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant There are plenty of other establishments in the area that offer far better food and service.

Check your credit card and bank statements. Waitress over-billed our credit card, put down a higher tip for herself. Very unethical and service has gone down drastically over the years.

We have been going here for years, but the prices have soared and service has went down. The guy that greets you with a beard never smiles when receiving you and just sits you like a robot would and we now feel unwanted there. Too many other places in the area that appreciate you coming in and spending money, will go elsewhere now after 10 years.
