It was a very good experience eating in a Salvadoran food restaurant!! In addition to the excellent service, the food is very delicious!!!

What an awesome addition to the downtown Lake Placid food scene. The staff is on point and the food explodes with flavor. The El Salvador sandwich is one of the most flavorful sandwiches I've had in years. This place is a must try

My husband and I have an amazing fine in experience and since then I make the 45 minute drive for pick up when I can. The specialize in Popusas hence the business name Popusa Queen. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted with such a welcoming smile. The gentleman that served us was so attentive and courteous. The atmosphere was inviting and the entire restaurant including their bathroom was impeccably clean. Their beverage suggestions were delicious. We had their amazing coffee and also an horchata. Not your typical horchata let me tell you. For food of course we had a variety of popusas to taste them all. They were made to perfection. If I could buy them a 6th star for their customer service I would. Prices are very reasonable. Can’t wait for my next take out or dine in experience. 10/10 go see for yourself.

Great authentic Salvadoran food. Tastes just like my mother used to make it. You will not find another place this good in highlands county regarding Salvadoran food. Try the pupusas, get el típico for breakfast and pleaseeee order a coffee from there! You will not be disappointed.

4th visit, food just not that great, and pricey . I'll continue to drive to Sebring for lunch.

Well deserved rating, great freshly made food with friendly staff and lay back atmosphere. Cannot say if it's authentic Salvadorian food, but one thing for sure it is delicious. Definitely worth stopping if you're near Lake Placid.

First visit today and was so good! We were welcomed and got great advise on the menu. We tried a pupusa for the first time and Wow, was delicious! Will definitely go back!

Was one of the few places open during our drive-through to Sebring. My girlfriend has celiac disease, and their chip's are gluten-free and good. The food was also very good and tasty and wasn't expensive. Would come back again!

So, does this place really deserve it's 4.9 rating? Yes it does. Food surpassed expectations. Delicious and interesting. Yes, try the pupusas. Or anything loco. Or the pork chop. Staff was wonderful.

The food was really good! I doubt I'll go back to Lake Placid, but if I did I would try other dishes here. There was a lot to try on the menu. I don't remember which appetizer we got but remember enjoying it. The tacos were pretty good too (had to try them).

La Papusa Queen is always a must stop for us when we're in the area!! The food is authentic & delicious. And the guy running front of house now is fantastic! Excellent service, great food, a definite must try if you're passing through.

This is the only El Salvadoran restaurant I have eaten at and I love it. It is a momma and son restaurant that is warm and friendly. They generously give their time to my questions about food, traditions and the culture. My husband and I always leave full and happy. I am not one to love giving reviews but am happy to give this and can’t recommend them enough.

Great reviews so checked them out when in Lake Placid. They were just about to close so we ordered to go and waited outside. We drove ten minutes back to our place and the food was still hot and delicious. Papusas were new to us but really good. Street tacos and burrito were as good as I’ve ever had. Finishing our meal back at the lake and my wife realized she didn’t have her purse. Panic!!!! She had left it on a chair in front of the restaurant(she thought). An hour after leaving La Pupusa Queen we arrived back there and knocked on the door. The owner answered. He had found it and was holding it for us. Great food. Great people.

Rosa is the Queen of Salvadoran food. Food is exceptional too.

I LOVE this restaurant. Completely authentic, welcoming, fun, and DELICIOUS!!! My church friends and I will return atleast twice/month. But I may have to do carryout the other 2 weeks. The Pupuyas were new for me and the best thing I've eaten for a long time. I want to try everything else on the menu! I liked the atmosphere with futbol/soccer on TV but Latino music in the background. The father and son waiters are personable gems. The Queen mama was delightfully busy in the kitchen mostly. Lake Placid is really lucky to have such a cool place for good, healthy and different cuisine. (SIDE NOTE: we loved the coleslaw, too!)

My staple Fri night! All my meals have been delicious, although a touch bland for a spice-loving palette. The guacamole is a must (add salt) and the loroco papusas are divine (the side slaw is lovely)! Staff are super friendly and even walked over my order to Wet Dogs when we ordered for a big group. Will come here even more often if there are non-styrofoam takeout boxes (please!!!).

From out of town, but stopped here because of the high reviews…and they were not misleading! The food was fantastic, as was the service from Manny. Makes me sad that I’m from far away, because I’d make this a regular stop. It is worth going out of your way to come to La Papusa Queen!

Wonderful papusas, nice family working there. They are a credit to the community and those who enjoy good food.

I ordered a Steak Sandwich and Fries from there. The meat was so tough. I THOUGHT it would be cut more. I had to take my sandwich apart and eat the bread and cut the meat. I was DISAPPOINTED. Waste of $15. The fries and bread wasn't bad.

We visited this restaurant over the weekend of Jan. 27th, the food and service were excellent! We had a Chicken and a Beef Burrito they were delicious! It's a great little family operation. We live 80 miles away but I'm sure we will patronize this establishment again. Ken & Darilyn, Jensen Beach, Fl.

Ate at LA Papusa Queen today for the first time. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. Service was quick, friendly and informative. Karen got breakfast that was delicious and plentiful for the $$. I got 2 bean, pork and cheese pupusas, a chicken taco and curtido. Everything was awesome, especially the taco. Everything was fresh made from scratch.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely eveything I've ever had from there has been superb. Always fresh, always delicious, consistent quality. Service has always been excellent, staff goes out of their way to help and have been so kind to us over the years. Probably my favorite restaurant in LP.

I must say that for it to be in that small suite, the food is excellent 👍🏾 My husband and I ordered from the lunch/dinner menu. He had breaded chicken and I ordered the bistec. The chicken was flavored and lightly crusted. Tender and omg... The cilantro rice was hitting!!! My bistec with the sauted onions was savory and tender. I would only recommend one thing and that would be to maybe hire 1 more server, 1 more cook, and 1 more customer service floor tech or a hostess. I will be eating there again and again!!

We just moved here, and wanted something new. The food here is AMAZING. I ordered one of almost everything! You can tell they make it fresh and the flavor is on point. Not only that, the customer service was excellent! My only complaint is the 4% service charge for using a debit card. I get it though small businesses need to thrive. We will definitely be back. So yummy!
