Great place with a very knowledgeable proprietor.

I buy cigars there almost every day. Paul, the owner, and Shawn are always helpful: they know their cigars and their customers. When I am in the mood to try something different, Paul will always steers me in the right direction. Great selection, and even more importantly, the cigars are always in perfect condition. If you like to hang out, there is an interesting selection of beers, comfortable stools and chairs, and always a handful of friendly patrons. I am actually heading there now ....

Great place! My wife and I visited several days ago. Classic cigar bar vibe! Stop in and ask Tom for one his "Band of Brothers" cigars! Excellent smoke! I'll be saving the band from this cigar - there's a story behind the band. Soldiers and vets - this place is especially for you! Oooo raah!

Shawn is the man! There's so so much I could say about that guy, but I'll just say this...I met Shawn in 2016 when I started my cigar journey. I walked into that lounge and asked him a thousand questions and he patiently and gracefully answered all of my questions. He has recommended cigars to me that are still some of my favorites to this day. Seriously, stop by and say hello to Shawn. Grab a smoke...grab a drink, sit down and relax.

Terrible experience. Bald white male rushed me after I opened glass and got a cigar to purchase. He claimed it was because Covid and they don’t want anyone getting their own cigar(4/21/23).Even after the lecture he continued to shadow/follow me. At the end he asked if I wanted cigar cut and I obliged. So what’s the difference in him opening my cigar to cut it and me reaching into a class to select a plastic wrapped cigar?This is a prejudice establishment and I won’t return.

Tom the owner is an absolute fantastic businessman and an all around amazing person, every employee there has fantastic knowledge about the products they have in store. My all around favorite lounge. Got me started on my cigar journey in 2021. Always recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a good cigar and a chill lounge to relax in.

Hands down the best cigar lounge in Columbia. Great, relaxing atmosphere and clean. Tom and his staff are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable and personable. I’ve been a patron since 2009 and the great service has been unsurpassed to this day. Check out the Man Cave for an experience you won’t regret. Keep up the great work guys!

Very, very, very smokey. Great cozy place for all veterans to come to have a stogie, wine, or beer, and commune with fellow veterans of all walks. Customer service is awesome.

Mr Burns and Mr comito are absolute gents. They are very knowledgeable and and great to hang around while you enjoy a cigar. The establishment has that old school feel that is clean and elegant versus the other lounges I've been to. Been coming here for 8 years and have never been disappointed.

My first visit to this establishment from the upstate of SC. I was greeted by Will and Shawn enjoyed a great stick and an excellent brew. Very friendly environment and great conversations with all patrons as well. Highly recommended and I will be returning when I’m in the Columbia area.

Tom greeted me with a smile!!! I explained to him that I was new to cigar smoking so he made sure that I would have a wonderful experience. I showed pictures of recommendations from friends and he took very good care of me. He did not take advantage of me being a new customer and just sell me anything or the most expensive thing. Great atmosphere!!!

They have a decent selection of cigars & I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Fantastic establishment. Staff is always attentive and helpful! I know some people choose to get offended when the staff walks in the humidor with them...and I seriously dont get that?! The inventory is constantly changing and moving. The staff is always there to guide me to a GREAT choice. I can tell them what type of smoke I like and they are there to make suggestions and point out new things to try I might like based on my tastes. As a lady I always feel safe and welcome. The place is immaculately clean. It's great to hang out at a place where "everybody knows your name". We are lucky to have a great cigar lounge like it!

New to the area and still trying to find a go to cigar lounge and this one is great. The company here is the best I’ve found thus far and my only complaint is variety. They don’t carry Padron or Liga which I think are essential cigars. They still have quality offerings like undercrown, olivia, etc. and the bar + company are what makes this place great.

Stopped while passing through Columbia. Great cigar bar. Very fine selection, some quality house brands and a friendly/helpful staff. Also a few good choices of wine and beer. About three lounge chairs and four tables, so I can imagine it might get crowded at times, but maybe with support, they can expand at their location. Will make it a regular stop on the way to and from Charlotte.

Great selection and a bar to enjoy your pick with a drink. Owner was very helpful in cigar selection, however very protective of his store. Won't allow touching or smelling of the cigars.

The owner was very friendly, love that it’s vet owned! We went to get cigars for a birthday gift and they had exactly what we wanted. In and out in 5 mins and seemed like a really cool environment to hang out in if you smoke cigars, as well.

The employees are so helpful and they have a way of making you feel like you know something. The staff is very knowledgeable about cigars and how to smoke them. Our last trip we were presently surprised to learn about a new product to clean the palette. If you are confused all you have to do is ask and they will help.

First time visitor (I live in Lexington)... But was VERY impressed with Lite I'm Up Cigars! From the awesome guy behind the counter, the great selection, and even awesome patrons who were there... This place is great! Military owned and very military friendly for sure. Anytime I'm in the area I'll be sure to swing by again for a visit.

Wonderful experience. Tom, the owner knows his clientele, when you walk in it is a friendly environment. Whether Tom or Shawn, Will or even if Matt is there the service is great from choosing your cigar for the afternoon or night to choosing your cut or them lighting your cigar. The experience is everything to them. Even if sitting in the corner and relaxing by yourself. The beer selection is good. Not everything, never is or can be, but selection is from American and European, something for every taste even Coffee is a private label.

I discovered The Man Cave earlier this year and was very impressed with Tom's knowledge of all things cigars (and lot of other stuff ). I try to visit as often as I can for great coffee and conversation.

What can you say about this place....as soon as you walk in, you are greeted and escorted into the humidor. Tom is always available to point you in the right direction of what type of cigar you are interested in. Then the beer selection is second to none when it comes to craft beers. Cold Mountain by Highland Brewing is always available this time of year. You always feel at home each time you walk into Lite Um Up aka The Man Cave!!

One place were man or woman, can relax, not be judged, and enjoy silence along with laughter. This review isnt based off a quick 5 stars because I liked the place. It's from the owner being friendly, being a veteran. Earning a tip by having a intelligent conversation. Making sure our cigars were lit at all times and making sure we also had something cold to drink. Cant wait to go back and I cant wait to smoke the cigars I took to go. 5 STARS!!!

Absolutely EXCELLENT atmosphere, products and services. The owner, a retired US Army E-9, is the greatest! Even we former US Naval Aviators get treated well!! SPOILER ALERT-- They have their OWN cigar brand called Band of Brothers and Man Cave that honors and memorializes some fallen comrades. THOSE STICKS TASTE FANTASTIC AND ARE WELL PRICED!! Go there today for a stick and an adult beverage!!!
