OH MY GOSSSHHHH . I got the steak & cheese on pita and it comes with a side of broth to dip your sandwich !!! SOOOO SOO GOOD ! First time here ! Will definitely be back to try other things 😍

Myself and 2 coworkers went in this past Friday night for dinner, we had a busy and stressful week, being the first week of school, we were also on a field trip. We are bus drivers. It had been a long week and long day, so we wanted to sit down to eat, in the air while we waited to go back and pick the kids up. My ticket says I ordered at 7:45, the second coworker ordered after I did and the 3rd one ordered about 10 minutes later because she had to run to the restroom. I told the young lady that waited on us that I had never been there before and never had Greek food before either. I ordered soup and salad. I'm not sure what my other coworkers ordered. It took about 5 minutes to get my salad, I had to go up and get my soup, then my coworkers got their food. Around 820, the manager came over and said I'm not trying to be rude but you are guys are going to have to leave, we closed at 8 and the staff wants to go home. I would have never thought they would close on a Friday night at 8 pm. We had to ask for to go containers, my soup spilled over in my bag, my salad spilled and my bread was soaked. My bill was 22 dollars. I got home around 1130 that night so the next day my salad that I could save, was soggy because of the potato salad being in it. They should have told us they were closing and we probably would have went somewhere else so we didn't have to sit out in a hot bus and there's nowhere to put food. So I waisted my money. This problem would have been solved if they would have told us when we walked in. Why would you let us order, tip you, then ask us to leave 20 minutes later. So disappointed especially after the week we had.

Great food, casual dining but nice alternative to fast food.

I ordered a falafel sandwich expecting it to be quick. They said 15-20 minutes, but after 40 minutes of waiting, I had to ask what was going on. They hadn’t even started making it! Absolutely unacceptable. I canceled the order after wasting 45 minutes of my time..

Their Greek salad and gyros can't be beat.

My wife and I stopped by Louis Pappas Fresh Greek, at 1318 Towncenter Drive in Lakeside Village, Lakeland for dinner. We were there at about 6 p.m. on a Friday and the restaurant was not crowded. You order from the counter and the food is delivered to your table. The service was fast and friendly. I had the Classic Gyros served on a pita with a side of their Greek Chip-Style Fries. The gyros was delicious! The Greek Chip-Style Fries are their house made potato chips with tzatziki and crumbled feta cheese on top. Very tasty! My better half opted for the Traditional Mousaka with a side of broccoli. We also had Dolmades as an appetizer, but they were gone before I could get a photo. My wife says that they are fantastic. This is the only Greek restaurant that we’ve been able to find in the Lakeland area. The food is delicious, and we will definitely be back again.

The best "fast" food place around

Had a mother daughter day and so happy we decided to try Louis Pappas! I had a Greek salad, my daughter had the Tampa Cuban sandwich. They were so good! We also split a cannoli and a chocolate cake. The cake was so rich and delicious but it was maybe a little too rich. Will definitely visit again.

The gyro platter only comes with one pita split in half. Not even close to enough :( I was so sad but the food is really good, though extremely overpriced. I paid well over 20 dollars for my meal since they won't substitute and you have to add extras.

The service is horrible, the lady who works serving the salad is super rude, she is a racist, I hear myself speaking Spanish and the treatment towards my change is bad, the cashier behaves well, you ask for help and they don't want to help you, I feel like they are lacking a supervisor who helps the restaurant run correctly.

We usually go to the one in Tampa. Thought we would try this one…… sadly never again!!!! I LOVE the hummus and always get an extra order to take home. It last me a few days…. what I got from Lakeland isn’t enough for 1 person as a snack!!!! VERY disappointing!

A good lunch but nothing spectacular. Greek fast food. The Traditional Greek Salad with shrimp & anchovy had only ONE SHRIMP & ONE ANCHOVY. All salads are Iceberg lettuce 🥬. A bit disappointed. Good deserts saved the day.

I love the Greek salad, my wife loves the gyro.

This was our second trip to Pappas'. The food is typical Greek fare with Gyros, Pastichio and Spinakopita among other staples. Our party of four went on a weekday after the lunch rush and still found the restaurant busy with a party of 25 arriving right after us. The counter area is small and gets crowded with just a few customers in the restaurant. After placing your order you are given a number for them to deliver your food to a table of your choice. You are also given a cup to pour your own drink but unfortunately if the counter area is crowded it is almost impossible to fill or refill your cup. The food is average to above average but it is on the pricey side for what you get. They also boast about their home made potato salad. Again it is good but not great and on the expansive side. When we are in the mood for Greek food we always have Pappas' as a fall back but are starting to look for other spots to try.

Worst experience of my life the workers were rude ! No one tried to help us don’t recommend

First, I want to start by saying I absolutely love this restaurant. I have never had an issue with anything that I have gotten here for the past 4 yrs …. I had been at the beach all day and was dropping my granddaughter off to her mother and the parking lot like we always do and I decided to run in and grab a quick bowl of the chicken soup because I wanted something small… I decided to get the bowl. When I got home and I took off the lid, there was hardly anything in the bowl of soup that cost 7.00. Like I said, I don’t usually have an issue and I don’t usually complain. I’m not sure if it was because they were closing soon, but I just think seven dollars for a cup of broth with two pieces of chicken in it and a few pieces of orzo. Hi, guess I would rather have had them be honest with me if there wasn’t much soup left to just tell me that instead of having me pay seven dollars for that and then I got a side of Peter bread to go with it because I didn’t realize it came with two slices of bread so $13 for a bowl of broth just seems a little ridiculous. I guess next time if it’s close to closing, I will just not get anything. .i have pictures but do not see a place to put them

Opa!! You'll feel at home and like your Nana was in the kitchen. Been going here for years and this is a good place for a healthy alternative.

Food was delicious but really has nothing to do with authentic Greek food. The Gyro is actually Turkish Doner Kebab. Humus and Falafel are not Greek, at all, ever. The rest of the menu are mostly adaptations of Mediterranean or middle eastern mixed with American. There are some authentic items like the Avgolemono and Spanakopita but “Traditional Greek Salad” with lettuce and potato salad??? Come on. Which part of Greece is that salad traditional? I would give five stars for the food if it was not labeled as Greek cause it’s just not Greek for the most part.

I enjoyed the flavor of the food. However 11.00 for a gyros. You expect some meat. The lady seemed to have an attitude. For 3 people our bill was 55.00 since the food tastes good it wood have been worth it. However when you get more onion than meat on a sandwich so not worth the price. 4.00 for fries to add to the sandwich. So 15.00 a meal no meat.

The gyro was everything it should be. The dining room was empty and filthy. Nothing more than a Greek fast food joint. They could step it up a notch if they wanted to. I asked for water and they gave me that embarrassing plastic cup while others at my table had regular drink cups. I had to get up 3 times to refill the 8 Oz. cup. Are you afraid I might fill my cup with 25 cents worth of something other than water? The gyro was almost $11. I might never return.

If you are eating a mediterranean diet or expecting anything close to Greek food do not come here. This is 'wanna be' Greek food. We ordered a greek rice bowl with chicken. I am not expecting authentic food but this was just bad. This was a bowl of soupy mush with some sour cream and salsa like sauce on top. Definitely nothing Greek about it. More like Mexican. We didn't eat it. The pita chips were cut up fried pita that tasted like old grease. Didn't eat them either. Nobody came to check in with us. We just left. Didn't even want to go through the hassle of complaining as it didn't seem like the staff cared much anyways.

Their unique salad is THE best!! They make potato salad and that is buried under the lettuce. It is a great addition to a salad. Plus their other items are also really good. We do not get there often as we are not near one of their 5 places. So it is a real treat or sometimes a destination for us.

Gyro withe Greek side was excellent. Also shared the pita trio platter and the three different hummus were very good.

The food is usually pretty good, though the prices are surprisingly steep. Service is usually meh - not the friendliest bunch, but they manage. Atmosphere is good. Usually come if someone else invites me. The Greek fries are my favorite.

The girl at the front counter was so unbelievably kind and patient. She explained everything to us and helped us pick stuff out. My dad complained that his food was a little salty, but I tried it and thought it was fine. I got the Tampa Cuban and absolutely loved it. I’ll definitely be back!

I think everyone has noticed a significant drop off in customer service recently. And I think that, along with the excellent food, is one of the things that sets this restaurant apart. Very good, authentic food and great service.

Easily the worse '"Greek" food I ever tried. The classic gyro sandwich is tasteless you barely get lamb on it. The salad is just a set of lettuce on most. So is expensive considering what you get.

We stopped in for a late lunch. This is not your tenders, burgers, and fries joint. The menu is fresh and original. You'll have to walk up to the counter and order like a fast-food place, but the food is really good, really hot, and so tasty you'll delete your McDonald's app. I had their fried fish panini. Made to order and so hot I burned my tongue. My wife had a 2-for. She chose the Tampa Cuban with Greek Fries. As a vegetarian I wasn't interested in trying the Cuban, but the fries looked like potato chips - made with the order hot. Served with a flavored sour cream dip. Louis Pappas will definitely see more of my business. Stop by, order curbside service, or dine-in. Fast friendly service and good hot food prepared with care.

I ordered this on Uber Eats late one night not realizing it was closing at the time that I ordered. Not only was I served raw food and spoiled food and potatoes that were uncooked, was I told by the manager 5 days later once I decided to call them because Uber Eats would not resolve the problem that it was too late to fix the problem because I called too late. I didn't want to bother calling them because I was waiting for Uber Eats to help me and when I realized they were not going to do anything that's when I called the restaurant and they penalized me for it. Food is adequate. We get food here because it's the only Greek restaurant in the area that is opened during normal business hours. That said, if I could I'd much rather go to Tampa and get food from the Acropolis.

I love to eat here! The food is always good. I gave it 2 tonight because the service was probably the worst I have experienced anywhere. Our family loves Greek food. We've heard of the quality of Louis Pappas' Greek dishes & since we were on the south Lakeland area, finally stopped in to try it. Our meal were fabulous. With picky children in tow, all four of us enjoyed every bite. I being focused on my salad, relished the presentation then totally enjoyed every mouthful of fresh vegetables & potato salad.
