what is not to like about. a country day in a country try town with dancing bbq and coffee. all joking aside it’s a texas legend. not much there yet one of our favorite places we stopped during our weekend. in the end we wish we spent more time. why- because it felt real. year it’s a tourist stop but it felt real

Luckenbach is about the actual size of a football field. THE WHOLE TOWN.. You can actually stand in the middle of the town & see EVERYTHING.. I absolutely had a ball. Live music, smoked BBQ brisket, yum. The people are the best. The only thing missing was Willie, Waylon & the boys... 😉

Really cool venue. But go to this area Thursday-Sunday when the food truck is there. Better time to go check out this whole area. But they have music everyday here.

Great place to enjoy some country music and just chill out! Lots of picnic tables and friendly folks...quaint boutiques and a lot of novelties😄

Luckenback was amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Live music was spectacular. Would definitely come visit again.

Very picturesque town, with very beautiful, authentic and original spaces. Access is a little complicated because it seems like you are entering a private house, but no, what happens is that it is a sandy road.

I have more memories than I can shake a stick 🏒 at. They have done hondo right! He would be PROUD and sit right along the bar 🍻 and have a beer. I'm not real Sure how he would feel about the wood stove being taken out but PROGRESS IS PROGRESS 😞..

Funky and fun place to hang out with "Waylon and Willie and the Boys". You will enjoy this off the beaten path rendezvous, if you love a cold beer and live music!

Stopped by for about an hour Listened to some music but we had to leave to get back to Wichita Falls. We love the laid back atmosphere there.

Luckenbach is a ghost town like a small typical western town. The buildings consist of a post office, a general store and a dance hall.

What a fun memory- making place! Live bands, tons of photo ops, and cool shopping made this a great place to spend an afternoon.

I really liked this place. The atmosphere here is just incredible 😍. We also really enjoyed the taste and wide selection of beer and wine. We sat and enjoyed the live music.

Neat town, friendly people, a post office to mail out a post card and kissing booth to give someone a big old smooch. The gift shops are fun to walk through and you can pick up some really cool souvenirs. Be mindful of a cat in a basket, he might swat at you.

Love Luckenback, but miss the old days before the touristy fluff.

Luckenbach Texas is truly one of the greatest live music places I've ever played. The staff is always so amazingly nice! No one is ever having a bad day in Luckenbach! There's three different stages to have live music on, and they are always so courteous to the bands and so professional. We love everything about Luckenbach!

This is a special place for me and my husband. I love the song, Luckenbach Texas, and enjoy it on the Fourth of July has great energy and vibes great food and vendors.

Great place had a couple of beer, listened to a good country band. Enjoyed the music, and I don't even like country music. If you happen to be in Fredericksburg, run out there. You won't regret it.

You have to go at least once in your life. Great place to let loose and enjoy yourself.

First day trip to Luckenbach. Great place to listen to live music with a bunch of other people who made a trip there to enjoy the same thing - a Texas must. We stayed outside Fredericksburg so it’s just a 10-15 minute drive.

A place, almost in the middle of the dusty middle of nowhere in the Hill Country, that you visit for the music. Country music is played here on various open stages, e.g. T. great singers. For that reason alone it's worth going there. As far as the gastronomic offer is concerned, Luckenbach is very disappointing: no beer on tap, no acceptable food selection, instead drinks in "cans and bottles" (at least well chilled) and prepackaged industrial sandwiches, chips and bars. It's best to bring your own picnic, because such an afternoon and evening in Luckenbach is usually long given the great bands... ;-) Where there is no catering, souvenirs are instead exaggerated: in several huts in this shack settlement you can get Luckenbach merchandising products at hefty prices. If you like it..... :-/

Not much going on at the time we were there. Bought a couple caps and walked around the place. There were probably 20-30 other people there. May have just been an off time, lord knows it was so HOT out. Might would try a visit when the weather was nicer and they had a festival or festivities happening

Excellent place to stop and stretch your legs while traveling

Texas own little hole in the wall! Great place to relax, throw back a beer and listen to music all day long. The staff is just amazing, everyone we talked to is friendly and welcoming, from the guy cleaning the yard to the guy running the shop's!

Everything is outdoors, super country super cool. 👏☺️❤️

Always fun, good singers and/or bands. Good burgers and cold beer.

I have always wanted to stop here ! It was great ! Lots of history here. The post office was cool , so much old stuff still in shelves like it was way back when. Large variety of gifts to take home to say you’ve been here . Live music every day. The bar is the best , it’s old and amazing, so much to see. The out door area is great to sit and have a cold drink , listen to or play a guitar. They have door outdoor activities . 3 stages , the small one inside was cool. Wall of Heros is awesome , law enforcement badges from all over the state and country. If you’re in the area stop in just to say ya have , you won’t regret it .

Marking this off our list of every place you have to go in Texas. There was live music and it wasn’t crowded on a Thursday. They have misters for the heat too. Definitely worth a visit!

Wonderful spot. I haven't been there in 11 years...still love it.

Came because of the song and the place was exactly what I had expected. Loved it. We sat for some time in the shade and listened to a group of songwriters tell stories and sing songs on a little stage. Everyone we interacted with in the store was very nice. We bought some Tshirts that were nice quality and not overpriced. We visited on a quiet mid week afternoon, and I would love to come back for a dance or concert.

Fun plave to hang great band. Drinks were pricy.

Alright, we know how places have changed over the years. It's not what it used to be. But it's still a nice live music venue. That's about it, has a gift shop with expected merchandise.

This used to be a “town” you could visit and enjoy the nostalgia Now nothing more than corporate greed charging 20 or more per person to enter the town for music Used to be cute & fun, now don’t waste your time on this circus act

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Luckenbach is a tiny town, but it's a place where you can step back in time and experience the true spirit of Texas. The atmosphere in Luckenbach is truly unique. You can find some shops or play cornhole. Or, if you prefer, you can try your hand roping! I can say that it's one of the most unique and charming places I've ever been during a recent road trip in Texas. But the real heart and soul of Luckenbach is the music at its Dance Hall. There's always something to listen to, from country and western to blues and rock. And the best part is, it's all free! If you're ever in the Texas Hill Country, I highly recommend making a stop in Luckenbach. It's a truly special place that you won't soon forget.

Super authentic place for everyone who loves country. With live bands from 1 p.m

Been around the Hill country all my life and I've never made it to Luckenbach. This was the first time and it was very nice on a Friday afternoon. Hearing country music and singing. Definitely like to come back for the evening for dancing but I just didn't have time this time. Plenty of parking. Lots of bikers and lots of beverages.

Got to attend the 3rd Annual Bluegrass Festival with my brother Matt. Despite the of and on drizzle a great time was had by all, especially when Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder took the stage!

Visited Luckenback for a day on a reunion trip! The facility has greatly improved since my last visit! Outdoor music was wonderful! I had the best "Texas Burger " from the food truck! Try it! I also met Carl Luckenbach, whose family founded the area! Great area! Three Aggies!

Had a great time! Definitely worth checking out. Downside, we were traveling with my brother who is in a wheelchair. Unable to view the band in the covered area. Couple stairs and no ramp! Not wheelchair accessible.

Stopped by on a random Saturday afternoon to take a quick photo. We didn’t expect an event to be happening, but turns out the annual Outlaw Half Marathon was happening! We got to enjoy the festivities. The band was INCREDIBLE! We were absolutely blown away. So glad we decided to make the pit stop!!!

You got go what a quaint but spacious town. If haven't been in awhile worth going again. Nice shops and good outdoor seating.

Very nice and fun too. I give it a 4 star because it has become very touristy and commercialized. I've been going there off and on for over ten years and it's changed. Still fun though.

It was a cool experience for a two-hour stop at a venue with a lot of country music history, a TX dance hall, some live music, and interesting stories. A must-see if traveling the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

Is luckenbach Texas. Although it's not a town anymore because they removed the post office it's a great attraction. Luckenbach is a place where obviously a lot of entertainers have visited best well known for Waylon Jennings luckenbach Texas and Willie Nelson for his visits as well as other music artists. They do have food they do have drinks they do have entertainment it's very laid back to have open mic to have stages and a lot of people who ride Harleys do go there

My husband would literally live here if he could! We love to sit in the back of the store, have a cold beer, and visit with people. We always meet fascinating people from all over the world. The music is great, the atmosphere relaxed and the people are wonderful. Food is delicious and it's Pet friendly!

7th time going here. Never gets old. Very clean and taken care place. Spoke with a local and we talked about the history of this place. It's not just a country song ,but history even down to the bar. Ohh see if you can spot Marge from back in the day. She is there looking down on the guest.

Visited Luckenbach 44 years ago and my! How it's grown! Was hoping for the greeting by cute girls weilding squirt guns filled with tequila offering "shots," but alas, it was not to be. Otherwise, good cold beer and good country-styled live music.

What a cool community gathering spot! We wandered in on a whim on a Saturday and really enjoyed sitting under the trees listening to the free live music. A handful of food trucks, a bar, and a couple gift shops round out the experience, if I lived in the area I’d be a regular. Dog friendly.
