The only way I can recommend Mama Brazil is if you're planning to open a restaurant and you want to see how NOT TO run it. I'll make my experience simple you. Upon picking up my online order, I was informed HALF of it was unavailable. I got my money back in cash, it is what it is. What I REALLY have a problem with, is ordering a meal where you SELECT a dessert and then be told, after I'm home and notice it isn't there, 'oh sorry we don't offer the dessert' anymore. What a bummer. I've been to Mama Brazil once before when it first opened, after it was Hy's Shrimp, and I had a decent experience. The place is almost DEFINITELY under new ownership. Saddest of all, is that this place is supposed to REPRESENT Brazilian food. How many Brazilian restaurants are there in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area? Sad. The food they did have; mid at BEST. The desolate black walls paint the picture perfectly. Uninspired, unforgiving, and most of all... Empty.

Such delicious food, it was my first time trying Mama Brazil Cuisine and Brazilian food in general—looking forward to coming again! Great service and the dine in experience was so comfortable and welcoming (when you come in you can read about their food, it was exciting to learn more about the history!)
