If they could decorate the inside better. At least paint the walls Jamaican colors. Looks unoccupied when you first walk in but the food definitely makes up for it. It was hot, seasoned well. The customer service was great actually. Parking is bad too if you can’t find a spot behind the building you’ll have to walk.

I’m plant based and the cabbage and rice and peas (red beans and rice) are amazing; seasoned very well, I look forward to tasting the plantains! I’m very satisfied with the quality of the food it’s flavorful.

Recently had Marlene's ox tail, jerk chicken,cabbage,Rice and peas for my wife's bday party for a total of 15 people.... very very good food I must say. She had the food ready for me to pick up very easy process everything was correct and exceeded my expectations. I'd give more stars if I could.

The cabbage was great. The oxtails were tender but VERY salty. It tasted as if the lid came off the top of the saltshaker while seasoning, and they did their best to hurry and scoop out what they could, but it was too late, or something. I would give this place another chance to see if that was an irregular mistake or not, or if another dish might be better.

The person who cooks the Oxtail here says she also cooks for Gabby's Caribbean and American Restaurant near by. The Oxtails were very small with very little meat on it and should have had more Oxtails, but tasted okay. The rice and beans and cabbage with it were only fair not great. Not worth the $21.00 I paid.

Just had Marlene's brown stew chicken. It was delicious! My husband had oxtails and they were fork tender and not greasy! He's already looking forward to coming back and trying the curry goat, since the ox tails were so delicious! I'm coming back to try the jerk pork! We will definitely be back. Can't wait!

I was craving some oxtail w rice &peas, and steamed cabbage and LAKELAND CAME THRU. This deliciousness (and beef patty-not pictured) came from Marlene's Takeout on Memorial. This deliciousness made my Caribbean self oh so happy. I HIGHLY recommend. 🔥🔥🇯🇲

My very first time there the food was amazing!!! It was so good I told her I would return, I kept my and I came back. This time I came back I got the same thing the food was so amazing she did not disappoint. The Mac and cheese was amazing… The whole meal was amazing me and fiancé taste buds thanks you Marlene.

Very nice lady and very clean. Nice portions. I ordered the curry chicken with rice and peas...I guess the rice and peas hadn't finished cooking because the rice was still hard on the outside. I couldn't really taste the curry. The Mac & cheese was salty with a thick layer of dried cheese on top. I literally peeled it off still in tact. And the cabbage was greesy. I don't know maybe I went on the wrong day or something. I don't think I'll go back.

Found this place tonight just as they were closing! They were nice enough to let my son and I in. I asked for the Oxtails, cabbage, rice and beans and within maybe 60 seconds give or take a few seconds and my order was ready and hot!!!!! 1st time customer hoping to join the family now! Great plate of food for less than 20 dollars. Highly recommended all the way. Parking can be an issue due to surrounding businesses and lot behind plaza has limited spaces but because they are located on the end of the plaze, the tire shop parking lot (respectfully) is an option or pull along side the curb.

I went my first time 5 days ago in I can honestly say her oxtails are delicious 😋 and her brown stew chicken . I recently moved to Lakeland from wh in finally found somewhere that sell good food . Ps , her cabbage and rice with beans is VERY tasty 🤤 . Next time I am wanting to taste some macaroni cheese with my meals . thank you

The restaurant sits on the corner in a tiny plaza. The inside is huge and very clean. Pros: curry goat was good, nice portion, nice taste, and cooked well. The owner is really nice and the order was made quick. Cons: Parking can be tough if full, the rice/beans were a little to hard, and the sauce wasn't thick enough for me so I barely had any sauce. Overall the food was decent.

I order through DoorDash all the time, this place has become one of my favorites! Food is always fresh and hot when I get it & taste is wonderful! I have never showed my face and I’ve become a regular haaa one day I will have to stop by.
