McGuire’s sushi is a must-hit restaurant for me every time I come to Destin. Don’t let the Irish name scare you away, the sushi here is excellent! I’ve sampled much of the menu and have been thoroughly impressed by everything. The ultimate spicy tun roll is out of this world!

I like to eat here every time I pass bye! The staff is the best especially Anthony! Fast service and the best sushi around. Definitely a must if your in Destin..

Absolutely loved our food! We got 2 of the specials recommended by the young lady working the bar & they did not disappoint! She was so friendly & chatted with us on some of her fave Destin Beaches! We got the Snapper Roll and the Yellowtail Roll— the lobster rangoons & miso soup are very safe options too! Everything was delish!

One of my top favorite sushi places to eat in our area! The tuna poke appetizer and Bruce Lee roll are my favorites!! And Anthony is the bomb up at the sushi bar!

I will say our server “TATIANA” was phenomenal. She was so lovely in every way, warming and professional. The food was great and was very expensive to have not liked anything but the wings. What made it AWFUL was all the other staff and mgr. We were visiting for vacation, walking anround w/ a sleeping heavy toddler in my arms, and unsure of closing time. It was my mother in law, husband, son I held the entire time and myself. The server took time explaining things and talking to us so we just didn’t know. We had horrible look from the mgr and a female staff member entering but ignored it (just thought it was late and they may be tired, something normal). They could have turned us away but didn’t say anything to us. Yet had conversations near us being disrespectful and gave so much attitude. When we noticed the close time we already had our drink and food had already been taken. The mgr got rude with our server and roller his eyes at us (white man). We rushed to eat, even being my husband’s birthday. The server Tatiana was the ONLY one who was nice and said bye thanking us for coming (we tipped her big for her lovely energy). The mgr and lady at the bar wanted us to know they were pissed and showed it in every way the could. The force from locking the door behind us was terrifying. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, EVER. Happened on 7/31/2024.

We had not planned on eating here, but we are so glad we did! We were short on time, and they brought our food out so quickly to accommodate us. The food was amazing and we will for sure be back!!

The menu is very limited the waitress was nice but we had to leave as my children don’t eat sushi and there is nothing else on the menu. The reviews on Google are not organic. There is no way this place has 5 star organically. Every other restaurant in Destin was packed on Saturday night. McGuire’s was empty. The window bar seemed busier.

Bad service and manager rude never coming back!

We went for happy hour from 4pm - 6pm. It was an amazing deal, food was excellent and drink prices incredible. Jordan was our waitress and she was amazing. She was kind, helpful and super nice. She should be recognized among her peers. Thank you for a great experience.

We ordered the McGUIRE roll, Crunchy shrimp roll and a Bruce Lee roll. All of them was phenomenal, the best sushi place I’ve had. The general manager Patrick was amazing and very helpful. Highly recommend this place!

It’s completely ridiculous hear that they don’t accept any other ID besides “US citizen IDs”. How does that make sense in a place full of tourists who come from all over the world. I have the answer for that, RACISM. I wish this kind of places wouldn’t exist in 2024. What a shame that this keeps happening nowadays.

I was there with my girlfriend, I try to order drink and show my passport from my country (I’m tourist) they refuse to give me a drink because I don’t have USA ID, sorry guys just for being tourist but that’s called discrimination and it’s so stupid

I was shocked when I heard “We just accept USA ID, military ID, we don’t accept any other country IDs” WHAT?????? The manager came and his explanation is “No everydoby can speak your lenguaje to understand” Sr my passport is in English! I work in the service industry and I have never heard a rule like this, what an insult knowing that you are a sushi place!! The restaurant is Irish and I’m trying to eat in the sushi place!, is that make any sense to anyone???

We had to go back to Maguire’s Sushi this trip. The sushi is amazing and fresh. We tried 3 rolls this time and all were great! The service and atmosphere is perfect.

I was shocked to see the use of the Japanese Rising Sun flag prominently displayed in the restaurant. This symbol is not just controversial but deeply offensive to many, given its historical connotations and associations with Japanese imperialism. It's highly insensitive for a business to use such imagery, especially in a public setting.

This is our third summer in a row coming to Destin with our best friends, but this is our first trip to McGuire’s Sushi. But it definitely won’t be our last! I honestly can’t tell you the last time all the kids (five between the ages of 4 & 14) literally ate every single bit of their food. The apps, the sashimi, the sushi, the DESSERTS. Holy moly. And our server, Grace, absolutely phenomenal. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

We got the lobster ragoons! the hurricane roll! and ultimate spicy tuna roll (something like that) they were so good! The ginger salad was good not my favorite one I've had! But I love that the kids could get the kid menu from the original mcguires! That allowed us to eat we're the adults wanted but the kids still eat! They were able to sit our group of 13 immediately which was the deciding factor! It was in a back room, too, which was sooo nice since we had 8 kids to contain! The menu is small but good!

I brought my mother here for the Bruce Lee roll and dragon punch..so yummy!. Always good food and atmosphere ! Lucas was our server and he did such an awesome job. He is such a great server, he's knowledgeable, attentive and funny! We will be back of course!!

The food was ok,, we were seated right by the bathroom which literally stinks. Our server took a long time and was arguing with another employee at the bar about a Sake bomb I think. My sushi had a hair in it so we left most of it. I tried sushi at AJs Harbor Docks, and Domo Izakaya. All were 10 times better. I wouldn't recommend it here in Destin.

Pleasurable yet basic decor and atmosphere. Service was educated, quick and personal. Good was delicious but was extremely upset the rolls we ordered were poorly prepared. The sushi was rolled sloppy and fell apart as we picked them up. Tasted good just Wasn't enjoyable to eat separated sushi rolls.

We went for the happy hour special on International Sushi Day and loved it! The size of the rolls were larger than expected. Certainly not the normal little rolls like other places pump out at happy hour. Quality seafood and flavors! Chicken wings were really good too. The place’s name may not sound like much is to be expected, don’t judge a book by the cover.

Delicious! Rolls were huge! Tatiana was very kind and helpful in helping select the best rolls we’ve had in a long time! And we eat a lot of sushi. She gets 6 stars! Red Dragon Roll is AMAZING! Don’t skip this one. Photos don’t really do it justice. They are a little red from the lighting. Late afternoon lunch as we were heading out of town on a Monday.

Food was really good, the atmosphere was perfect, chill, not crowded, but the service was amazing. Lucas did a great job. We are coming back.

We ordered 4 rolls and they were ALL so delicious!! My favorite was the yellowtail sunrise, I might come back a second time before we leave town just for that roll! Mcguires sushi is our go to sushi place! The food and drinks are always amazing, and Lucas was our server last visit. He was very attentive and made it one of our best visits!

This place very underrated. Best Sushi in the town. Must try their Hurricane Rolls. They were 😋. Also try their Dragon Punch in their beverages. Grace took care of us and she was kind.

The Sushi was Great and the Service was Excellent! Our Bartender was very knowledgeable on the menu / Sushi options and walked us through it. I had the Yellow Fin Tuna Sashimi followed with a Destin Roll. My buddy had the Salmon Sashimi followed with a California Roll. All of it was Great, Especially the Service! Outstanding!!

This is the best sushi restaurant in America. I come here with my husband every year to eat sushi and drink dragon punch. It is always a 100/10 experience & wish I could eat here every day for the rest of my life.

It was my birthday week and we came to eat sushi because it’s my favorite food and this place did not disappoint! The sushi was fresh and delectable! Grace was our server and she was so sweet and informative about events going on around town! We will definitely be back on our next vacation! Food is always delicious and looked beautiful! Service is always amazing. This has become our favorite sushi place. We drive from Santa Rosa Beach past many other sushi places to come here. The staff is always friendly and have come to remember us when we visit.

We were greeted right away and sat at the bar, the service was fantastic - bartender knew the menu and specials from memory, he was engaging but not overwhelming. The drinks (Katana and Geisha) were delicious and the Hurricane roll was hands down one of the best rolls I have ever had! Well Done Wagyu McGuire's, well done!

Always a fantastic experience. The staff is attentive and everything on the menu is incredibly fresh. Our favorite roll isn't technically on the menu, but if you ask for the Bruce Lee, they will make the best sushi roll you've ever had. Tried the tuna Poke bowl for the first time today, and we were blown away by the portion size. It's big enough for two or perfect for an appetizer to share. Don't skip on the signature Mcguires cocktails! (Our favorite is the Dragon Punch) You can take home the souvenir Mcguires glass jar that it's served in, which seems to always bring back great memories. 10/10 recommend

Hello there, we are born and raised locals of the area and have always enjoyed McGuires for every occasion. We have become huge fans of McGuires Sushi. Every single time it’s exceptional and delicious. Last night was our first time enjoying the new Ramen bowl with pork. The flavor was out of this world down to the last sip, with the perfect noodles and the best noodles I’ve ever had. It got us thinking how delicious a Ramen beef bowl would be. We would much rather come to your restaurant over the competitors to enjoy a Ramen bowl paired with your sushi.

From the retro movie posters to the edible art placed in front of you, Wagyu McGuire’s is worthy of the praise. The staff are attentive, the food is quality, and the prices are fair. They hold themselves to high standards without being pretentious, and that is a tune we can all sing to.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was great, but that is a simple thing for a restaurant to accomplish. What Wagyu McGuire's has is an amazing atmosphere, further complimented by employees who appear to love their job and where they work. Everyone was so happy, everything was done so quickly, and all of my needs were taken care of without having to ask. By far some of the best service I have ever received in my life.

Poke bowls are EXCELLENT. Alicia our server was great and informative. Chef met all our requests. Fun red lights with vintage Japanese movie posters! Large servings. DELICIOUS

We’ve eaten here many times . Today we ordered take out. Not sure what’s going on but for the price it has definitely gone downhill. Honestly it seems like it’s gone downhill ever since they changed it to Wagyu. Staff aren’t as friendly as they used to be. We ordered 2 dragon skin and the 2 hurricane and the 2 McGuire role. We are locals and the time before this we did dine in and we could tell something wasn’t right. We had the “ Wagyu”. Must’ve been from the bottom of the barrel. I’m sure we will eat here again. I just know everybody has bad days. Used to be the best sushi in the Destin , Fort Walton area.

Everyone sleeps on Mcguires sushi but I’m telling you it’s the best in Destin. The Hurricane Roll (off menu) is my go to every time. The yellowtail sashimi is also very fresh and you get a good portion size. Also, don’t forget to order the Dragon Punch! They freshly squeeze juices and it comes in a large mason jar! Just go. Trust me.

Just tried the Ramon special and it’s FANTASTIC! We normally just get sushi which is always great but that Ramon…perfection…egg, mushrooms, pork, scallions…and the broth…just everything together was amazing…I’ll be ordering a second order to take to work tomorrow! Love and please keep on the menu!!!

Wanted to try out the sushi. We walked in on a Friday evening at about 630. No wait. (It is off season). Ordered the Dragon Punch (rum drink) and it was pretty good. Had edamame as appetizers. That was a pretty good serving size. We couldn’t finish it. She ordered the chefs choice (wagyu filet and chicken) and I ordered Yellowtail Sunrise roll and the Tsunami Roll. She really enjoyed her food. Kept asking me if I wanted some of the filet because she really liked it. I also enjoyed my two rolls. They were a lot bigger than I was expecting but I’m not complaining. Both rolls packed so much flavor in every bite. We enjoyed it so much that we already said we are definitely coming back to try the other menu items. I forgot our servers name but he was attentive and came back at the right times to check on us. The rest of the staff were also very friendly. Definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely delicious but what stood out to me most was the service from our waiter! He was everything you’d want in a waiter and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great lunch in every aspect. I would absolutely recommend this place 10/10!

The Hurricane Roll is the absolute best sushi I have ever had!

My husband and I wanted to try something new so we went here one Friday night. The food and the service were AMAZING! I had the Wagyu Strip Steak and he had the Red Dragon Roll and Nigiri. The garlic herb butter that topped the steak made the cut-it-with-your-fork tender and gave the best flavor. My husband said the sushi was some of the best he has ever had and the eel sauce was amazing. We had Lobster Truffle Rangoon as an appetizer, which was also delicious. We won't hesitate to go back. A little pricey, but worth it. The atmosphere was quiet and, while there was music playing, it was soft enough that you could have actual dinner conversation. Would be an ideal first date or celebratory dinner spot. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.

What kind of sushi place doesn't let you order your nigiri lightly seared? Brings out the flavor of the fish. The salad was just a 4th of an ice burg lettuce that wasn't even chopped up. The teriyaki chicken has 0 seasoning besides pepper. Just don't come here, you will be disappointed too.

Fish was fresh, but bluefin was sashimi was sliced wrong and tough. The spider roll was advertised as soft shell crab, when in fact it was imitation crab. DONT GO HERE

Best sushi in town. They're very particular about where they get their fish, the ambiance is great, and the food is delicious.

Very mediocre Sushi and Waygu (if that is what it is- it didnt' taste like Waygu, and the filet we ordered did not taste like a filet) but for Destin it's a great option...not crowded at all, great decor, great service. Not a very large selection of sushi. Spider rolls were fine, sashimi was very good quality and reasonably priced, it was actually the highlight of the meal and some of the best tuna I've had. Won't blow you away of you're a sushi lover (or a steak lover) but it's a great place to have dinner in Destin.

Place is a joke, STAY away, the sushi guys are inexperienced. The floor is weirdly slippery. The place has a werid vibe. No host. Disgusting experience. Worst experience in Destin .. not it

**warning** the wagyu steak is from a farm called Snake River farms. It's American wagyu and not true A5 Japanese wagyu. It's still top quality steak but it's not real Japanese wagyu. The sushi was super good!!

Great staff and really good spring rolls!

After hearing many recommendations, I decided to order Sushi for take out the other day. I got the McGuires Roll. It was edible, but I was not impressed, especially for a $20 sushi roll.

Food was great! I personally liked the darker atmosphere but my wife said it could have been brighter. Overall though, great experience and excellent, quality food.

I almost hesitate to share my love for this place as I want to keep it all to myself. But this is the hidden gem of Destin. It’s the best sushi I’ve had anywhere. Hands down. And the servers are great. It’s never too busy. The specialty rolls are to die for. Don’t sleep on McGuire’s Sushi.
