Food and service always excellent!

We are from the NYC metro area, I would put this places food against any place in the NYS area, the makenak homemade sausage are amazing, they have the basics gyros and the lot but the really graet food is the actual ethnic dishes, the chef takes pride in what he does and it shows. His wife remenbers all her guests and your prefrences, alot of pride in what they do and it shows in the food !

We were traveling through Pennsylvania and in need of dinner and a break. The food here was so fresh and delicious. Excellent Greek Food not often found in the US. Light thin pita bread, smokey baba ganoush, lamb gyro and fresh, lemon and mint dressed Greek salad! Don’t miss this wonderful food!

Had the falafel wrap it was good but it could of had more falafel I felt it had to much lettuce and filler for the price but give them a try it might be for you

The food was not good at all they microwave some of the food you couldn't even cut it will not eat here again

The food is absolutely phenomenal!! Enjoyed every bite and would definitely go again. Highly recommend the babba ganoush and the gyro!

They need to put some more bright things around. The food was good.

The humus and babaganuche tastes just like my dad used to make 😋. I can see why the restaurant is so celebrated. Everyone is so nice. And the music takes me back to my childhood. Also lots of vegan and gluten free options.

This place has amazing food, hands down some of the best Mediterranean food I’ve had. The restaurant could use an update and that’s ok. There is this one lady that works there that is the best, friendliest waitress I love her you will know when you get her!! Give it a try!!!

I wish I could give more stars! We have not had Mediterranean food this good in a long time. We had the Gyro on Saj,lentil soup, stuffed grape leaves and kids chicken dinner. The food was fresh, hot and had great taste. We can’t recommend eating here enough. The baklava was really good too!

We’ve ordered from here several times, and the food has always been absolutely delicious. Last weekend, I purchased several pounds of gyro meat for a birthday party, and you went above and beyond to help make the party special. The food was a huge hit - everyone loved it! Thank you so much!!

We are returning customers & always look forward to our meals from here. YUM!!! The food is fantastic & *never* disappoints! We’ve had the kabobs, schwarma, tabouli, baba ghanoush hummus, pita, saj, & baklava, & usually order takeout for my family. And the owner is very friendly!

Finally some GREAT food around here. I ordered delivery. Got so much food they gave me 3 sets of cutlery. Just me :). Everything tasted so fresh. The falafel wasn’t dry and had amazing flavor!! The hummus is REAL authentic hummus. Baba Ganoush was rich, smokey, and creamy. Spinach pie has a nice fluffy crust. Very impressed by everything and can’t wait to try all the other veg options on the menu.

Very chewy lamb. The kebap wrap was good otherwise. Still on the hunt for something delicious in Allentown.

I’m by no means a Mediterranean food connoisseur but I really enjoyed the food here. The staff overall was very friendly. The service was good except the server forgot a couple things they were busy so it wasn’t that big a deal.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is spectacular! Very authentic and tastes home made. It’s obvious they use quality ingredients and really care about what they’re serving. The owners are also the absolute best people. Rhonda (spelling?) is so sweet. She’ll make you feel like you’re family! Both locations (Fogelsville and Bethlehem) are superb. Their son runs the Bethlehem location and he’s an excellent manager. They are always attentive and kind. Do not overlook this place! You won’t find better Mediterranean in the valley!

The hummus was like Mediterranean crack! It was probably the best I have ever had! Waitress suggested the meat pies which aren’t on the menu! They were very authentic and tasty! Loved the entire meal!!

It's a good restaurant. The food and service are fine. I can't say it's my favorite Mediterranean in the area, but it's good.

Absolutely delicious food but they are not forthcoming in how they serve. They take your order at the table and then they come around and check on you occasionally but no one ever tells you need to get up and go to the counter and pay your bill. No one asked if we would like dessert. And you don't see your bill until you go to the counter. It was very busy for about an hour and a half because of the delicious food, but we were disappointed in the service and lack of communication.

Some of the best Mediterranean food in town!

I am a foodie and love trying authentic food!! This is one of the best and most authentic halal places!! The owner & rest of the staff are professional and respectful!! I love the food and Fattoush salad (especially the new version w fried pitta) is a MUST!! I will come back here again!!

Fresh and delicious with the sweetest staff

They have gluten free pita, and it’s delicious! The staff were so kind and helpful as we looked over the menu. My husband isn’t usually a fan of Mediterranean food, but he really enjoyed food here. If we are ever in the area again, we will have to stop by.

Lamb Shwarma was pretty much a sausage of lukewarm meat wrapped with lettuce and tomato with no flavor. Kafta was tasteful but super greasy.

We were traveling and did a google search of restaurants along our route. Stopped in and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and nicely portioned. Prompt service. It will be our go to place when traveling that way during meal time!

Another almost 5 star rating restaurant, Aman's in Easton, Smile in Bethlehem, these are Indian and Mediterranean restaurants that make proper & well seasoned food. However this place doesn't cut it, you've got to be kidding. Food is practically tasteless, needs tahini or halal white sauce for help. My wife had a plate of Falafel with Jasmine Rice 19$ ( that's chickpea's and rice, no meat, stop!) the falafel was near perfect looking, it looked like something you buy frozen in a bag and the sauce something out of a jug. No real atmosphere, staff is nice, you can sit, but I think it's mostly a take out joint. Bottom line, it is Mediterranean food, go there if that's what you like. I know I won't. (Smile Cafe is a Mediterranean fusion brunch place closes at 2 pm).

The lamb shawarma on the saj was soooooo delicious can't wait to come by again and eat here, the baklava was pretty good too. Sorry almost forgot the tasty grape leaves

Loved the Grape Leaves, but that is the best Baklava in the Lehigh Valley.

The worst food that I’ve ever eaten

Absolutely amazing gyros. Stopped in because of the very high ratings on Find Me Gluten Free and it totally paid off. They were extra careful about the gluten allergy and super nice. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Well worth the quick detour.

Like one or two others have said.....I got a takeout shawarma and it was bad. Small, quickly put together. Literally one piece of beef and a spoonful of filling. One of these should fill you up. This one was like a half of one. For $12 I feel ripped off. This is my backup option for when I have the crave and other places aren't open but I won't be coming back again. Steel City gyro is much better; I've gotten plenty of gyros from there and never been disappointed. Should've just saved my money and waited until tomorrow to satisfy the urge. And there was a hair in it but I picked that piece off and threw it away.

I went with my best friend and my children. It was our first time there. The food was good and price was good. I'm glad they have a kid's menu. My kids are sort of adventurous. They ordered the hamburger and fries and they liked it. I can't remember what I ordered and didn't have a chance to take pictures before I devoured the food. 😆 my friend got the rice and kabob shrimps and that was so good. The shrimp was flavorful, the rice was good and the little pita bread was good too. For our appetizers we got the falafel and I can't remember the name of the cauliflower dish. It was delicious!

This place is a hidden gem. We had a wonderful experience getting dinner here when we went. The staff was exceptionally friendly, the store was clean and well maintained, and the food was delicious. Of the dishes we had, the standout for me was the falafel. Perfectly crispy, well spiced, and not dry at all. I would highly recommend giving this place a go if you are in the area and looking for some good food.

The mixed grill kebab plate is amazing! The chicken was moist and everything was perfectly spiced. Will eat here again!

Lamb shawarma was very chewy and small despite the helfty price tag. Flavor was good but it was very oily and difficult to eat. I like my lamb less oily and usually get twice the amount for the same price elsewhere.

Stopped.in for a take out order. The restaurant and service was fine and they have indoor seating as well as additional tables in a side area.. Ordered grape leaves , a chicken gyro, a lamb gyro and a piece of baklava. Nothing special about the food and it was put together rather quickly which reflected in the quality of the gyro. I enjoy Mediterranean food and when it is done correctly it is amazing. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. The restaurant was not crowded at all so I was expecting a great gyro. . What we received were gyros that were put together quickly and sort of slopped together and not very appetizing . The pita was taken right out of the bag and not warmed up and the toppings and sauce seemed plopped on and the final product looked rushed with a lack of care. The grape leaves were smaller than other places as well with very little filling . They need some improvements.

A very good experience at this restaurant! the food was super delicious, and the facility was nice and clean. We had a chance to talk to the owner, so that gave it a personal feel. I’m quite a ways from this restaurant, but it wouldn’t be too much for me to come back to the area JUST to dine-in again!

I used to love this place! Unfortunately, the portions have gotten much smaller and the prices much bigger. My fattoush salad with chicken had, literally, not even a handful of lettuce and came out in a side salad portion plate! Hade 4 bite size pieces of chicken on top for $17!

This restaurant needs to improve their service and actually serve what the customer orders to provide a better customer experience. People taking orders and bringing food appeared to be management or owners. When I asked questions about the menu, I got quick answers with little explanation and then received something different than ordered anyway. I didn't feel very valued or welcomed as a customer.

Wonderful! Don't let the location in s strip mall put you off. This is a FIND! Marvelous gyro sandwiches - we had chicken, meat, & cauliflower (fabulous spices)and out of this world chocolate baklava. Try this wonderful restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

Great food. The Falafel was fresh and hot and tasted amazing. The Kibee was also wonderful.

I don’t know much about Mediterranean/Greek food but everything we had was delicious. We dined in and there were a lot of other people there but our food came out quickly. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Mediterranean Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants. We always get take out and are never disappointed. Their chicken shawarma either as a platter or saj sandwich is so flavorful with the pickles, perfectly seasoned chicken and that whipped garlic sauce. Their baba ganoush is amazing as is their baklava. Everyone is also very friendly whenever we pick up.

Appeared as a modest establishment from the outside but was very warm and friendly service. They made me something that wasn't on the menu but all I had to do was ask. Was the best food I had while in Allentown

Delicious Mediterranean/Armenian food. Had the chicken schwarma saj sandwich (came with pickles and garlic toum sauce on paper thin saj bread), with a side salad which was very fresh with a great olive oil herb dressing. French fries were crispy and good. Chicken schwarma was tasty and fresh off the rotating spit. The only downside was a long wait for our meal, but it there were a lot of take out orders which needed to be filled and it was dinnertime so it's understandable.

Excellent food and warm service. I believe the chef is also the owner. We stayed and ate at the restaurant with our tween sons. The owner was very kind and made some very good suggestions for our meal. If you are in the area I would highly recommend it. Fresh, delicious and made with love. The flavors were amazing!

I tried chicken gyro and chicken shawarma today. they are fresh and too good. My kids also enjoyed the soup. This is the first time we visited. we will revisit for sure !

FANTASTIC Syrian/Mediterranean food! Fresh and flavorful. We're from Asheville NC where we have some of the best restaurants and we travel a lot. This is hands down the best Mediterranean we've had anywhere! Don't let the outside fool you. You're there for the food!

The middle eastern food at Mediterranean Cafe is first rate. Helwa! I think their food could be a solution to peace in the region between Syrians, Turks, Lebanese, Armenians, Azeris, Greeks (yep!), Israelis, etc! It’s really, really good, from top to bottom on their menu. The location is fine but nothing to get excited about. Come for the food.

This is still the best Mediterranean food that I've eaten anywhere in the US or Canada. The family who owns this restaurant (and cooks all of the meals) is lovely. We were away for several years traveling, but they still remembered us as soon as we walked in the door. It was like being greeted by long-time friends. If you are vegan or gluten-free, this is the place for you! They are so accommodating and have the most delicious gluten-free pita option. Our favorites are the world-class hummus with GF pita, mujadara, arnabit, veggie kebab, raheb eggplant, foul medamas, and veggie grape leaves. I know it might sound strange, but even the side salad (the dressing is amazing) and french fries are kind of a must. Don't forget the Arabic coffee! I wish they had locations everywhere. I miss their food so much when we are away. Enjoy! I'm jealous.

Got the falafel plate, it was so tasty!! Bf got Mediterranean gyro and really enjoyed it :) Really appreciate the vegan options.

Chicken shawarma is a plate of chicken and rice ???? I'm shocked ) The chicken was sour. I was fooled by the rating. But this is the weirdest shawarma I've ever had. I don't recommend it.

Your better off going to Arby's and getting a gyro.

The lamb shawarma I’ve had here is the closest I’ve come to when I think of the shawarma I used to have growing up in the Middle East. Very friendly owners and the food is always consistent. I’ve come here multiple times and have always left being a satisfied customer whether as a dine in or take out. A 10/10 on my personal scale for the best shawarma spot in the Lehigh valley.

No less than 5 stars. Even the simplest hummus was silky and just amazing. You will not be disappointed!

We had a great lunch here today. The wraps with their special Saj bread were a real treat. The bread is paper thin and crispy. The side salad was simple but tasty. All the food had an authentic homemade feel.

No frills dining but food was good. Was the first time we experienced authentic Syrian cuisine. Very healthy. Just wished they didn't use Styrofoam for our leftovers.

Great fast service and delicious food.

After a long day of traveling, I checked in my hotel and decided to get food with Uber eat rather than driving. I’ve requested utensils with the meal and even put that on the note. However, food came without it. I was already changed and in my pjs. I wasn’t able to go to the front desk and request utensils. I could not eat the shawarma and the rice. I also had a desert that that was very dry and not fresh at all. Overall, I was not impressed by the service and the quality of the food. I rarely give 1 star to restaurants, but this one was very disappointing.
