We had such a great morning tasting here. Our host Linda was great, the wine was great, and the courtyard was so cute! We took a few bottles home, and I will definitely be returning! I would say it’s on the pricier side of tastings, but it is really high quality, and an informative experience.

The wine was fantastic! The venue was beautiful, and the staff was top-notch. Also, they have the coolest cat.

I’m someone who prefers a sweeter or white wine, but their pinto noir’s are amazing! The staff is super kind and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable as an amateur wine drinker. They also have an adorable cat who wanders the winery and cuddles with guests!

The winery is lovely with a fantastic outdoor space. The wine tasting is delicious and my host was so knowledgeable about the wine, the terrior, and history of the winery. I had a wonderful time chatting with the host and he really made the experience.

Merry Edwards is a favorite visit for us always. The staff is warm and helpful, the wines are wonderful. Max is always a pleasure to work with, and goes out of their way to make it special.

While the wines tasted were excellent, the experience was enhanced by the bold approach of pouring wines from different appellations side-by-side for meaningful comparison purposes. Also ... I was very pleased that the tastings were served in proper glasses for the variety served. Well done Merry Edwards!

Our tasting experience with Linda was fantastic! All of the wines were so delicious, it was hard to choose which ones to make up a case to take home with us.

We (group of 6 gals) visited at a 10am tasting time and the place was already in full swing. The location is gorgeous and Sarah was the sweetest hostess. Super knowledgeable and fun to hang out with for the few hours we were there. I'm not the biggest Pinot fan, but it was interesting to taste the differences in Pinots and appreciate the different styles they come in, My fave, only because of me was the bubbles. Would definitely visit again and hope that Sarah is available to host.

I was thrilled to be able to schedule a tasting at Merry Edwards as it has always been one of my favorite sources of Pinot Noir. The visit was everything I hoped it would be... we had excellent service, learned all about the Merry Edwards story, tasted some exceptional Pinot Noirs (and a delicious Sauvignon Blanc), had an opportunity to meet the winemaker, and left with several bottles to enjoy at home. It was a perfect way to start the day!

We love the wine. But the customer service is really lacking. I am really torn- I get an email selling their thanksgiving trio. Three bottles that pair nicely with common thanksgiving dishes. What a great gift. The wine comes packaged as I would expect wine to come. Nothing special a bit disappointed ad the email photo had a nice presentation. I don’t think much of it. I give the gift last night, thanksgiving is tomorrow and in my doorstep today is the awesome wooden box. Well that sucks! I call to give feedback and Patty basically blames it on fedex. Come on isn’t this what you do? Ship wine all over the country? I mean maybe a 1:2 and 2:2 on the labels or I know, let your customers know when the order it!!!!

Home of the Russian River Valley’s best pinot noir. Charming winery with knowledgeable and down to earth staff. Much more humble vibe than Napa. Woman owned with strong track record of excellent customer service and community engagement. Our first visit was in late August and it was a scorcher. We’ll definitely be back and continue to order online.

I highly recommend a tasting at this winery. The Pinots Noirs were the best my husband and I ever tasted. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and gave a wonderful presentation. The outdoor seating on the patio is beautiful, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We are looking forward to drinking the wine we bought at the tasting!

This has to be one of the best tasting experiences my wife and I have ever had. Their Pinot's are just delightful. We try to find wines to add to our cellar that unique and that certainly is the case with Merry Edwards. From the story of the female founder, to the graciousness of our host, to the delight of their wines, it was just a great experience. We ended up purchasing a 9 year (yikes) vertical so would can compare and contrast the vintages and acquire wines that are ready to drink now. Adding this stop to your list is a must.

Simple grounds with amazing wine. I know it’s individual palate but their wine has excellent tone and body. Is it just me? Or the sweet aroma of caramel stays forever in the glass that I ended up sniffing the empty wine glass while sitting there. Love the Sauvignon blanc.

Upscale tasting of decent wines. No charge tasting (so of course we made a purchase in return), I just wish there were more wineries like this in CA. The sauvignon blanc is lovely even though the winery is known for its pinot noir.

I can never say enough good things about this place. Their pinots are outstanding and are the ones that lured me back to loving bold pinot noirs. I even was introduced to a newfound love of late harvest wines! Aside from the delicious wine, the staff, the educational piece, tasting, and atmosphere make it so fun and easy to learn about the wines. If you're lucky enough you might even be able to hang out with some of the winery cats. We will definitely be visiting again and will be supplying our wedding ceremony with their pinots!

Free tasting for the wine made by legendary Merry Edwards? Yes Please! Personally I think the Sauvignon Blanc is one of the best white wine in California, and their Pinot Noir, especially Meredith Estate, is the best. The staffs are really friendly and always dedicated to the group. If you're looking for some fun place to take many pictures and be one of the tourist spot where getting soap, olive oil and bread, this isn't the place for you. But if you're a fine wine seeker, go for it.

The wines we tasted were pretty good. I didn’t love how they go about the tasting, it seems really formal and you stand in a room. But our wine pourer was very knowledgable and told us a lot about the winery.

On a rainy Friday noon, I had the good fortune to be one of the few visitors at the winery. The fellow giving me a private tasting was extremely knowledgeable, and informative, about the production of wines and the growing area generally. This took place in one of the most elegant, modern tasting rooms I've come across in the area. Very good wines, presented superbly Note: on Fridays the mushroom grower next door opens up to sell its exotic varieties.

Excellent pinot noir and a unique sauvignon blanc at our tasting. The tasting was intimate, informative, and free, but how can you leave without buying a bottle? Made friends with one of the cats that roam the property. Cats and the owls help to keep the gopher and other rodent population to a minimum.

It was early in the morning...but the tasting room was open. I got great descriptions of the wines. I am loving the Sauvignon Blanc with oak....who knew?

This was our first of 10 wineries over 4 days. We discovered Merry's wines at a friend's house party recently. What a great start! STAFF: 5 stars. Esposa and I had a tasting by appointment in a private room, joined by 3 wine noobs. The staff told us about Merry's personal story then delved into each wine. He was personable and approachable. Very nice. He adjusted his presentation to account for a range of wine knowledge and tastes. FACILITY: 4 stars. This is a nice facility with a cute little outdoor garden, patio, and fountain. The lobby is a bit business-like. The tasting rooms are off to the sides. WINE: 5 stars. We tasted white, red, then white again. What? Yeah, though their Pinot Noirs are very good, it is their Sauvignon Blanc that is the true star. I personally am not a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, because most wineries make it too acidic with strong tones of grapefruit. Merry takes a unique approach by barrel aging, which adds complexity and warmth, balancing out the acidity. The result is an ultra-smooth and, frankly, unusual white wine. It belongs at the end of the tasting becuase it stands up to the reds. The was the ONLY Sauvignon Blanc we purchased on this trip!

I have been enjoying Mary Edwards wines for over 16 years and appreciate the consistent quality and purity of each new vintage. If you love Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and/or Pinot Noir, this is the place! The tasting room welcome and tasting was warm and genuine. I will be back again soon.

Great tasting experience. It was very personal and conducted in a group setting. The pourer was very knowledgeable about the wines and terroir. As always, the Pinots are outstanding but a must buy is the Sauvignon Blanc.

I have never visited the winery, but I've ordered wine from Merry Edwards for many years. I was very surprised to see the comment complaining of poor service. The employees I've dealt with over the years by telephone (most recently today) have always been courteous, informed and accommodating. Merry Edwards consistently produces wine of the highest quality and I've never had any reason to fault the service provided.

Wow, this is great wine--definitely worth 5 stars on the quality--just wish it was a bit more affordable! All of the the Pinots have more robustness and flavor than the typical CA/OR Pinots--perhaps a little more in the French tradition? Great tasting room and place to visit. Do not forget their their Sav Blanc--really good.
