Fantastic little spot! We had no idea that they were here but made a point to come back and try it. Great atmosphere and the blueberry lemonade is out of this world! They also have a nice selection of games to play; we played hungry hippos!

What a fantastic find! The Government Street location is right by our home and I had the pleasure of stopping in. I passed it so many times wanting to stop and see what it is all about. I love the atmosphere and the changes they made inside. It is a friendlier, inviting, warm space now. The staff were so friendly and helpful! Now let's talk about the food....yummmmm!!! So good! The food was so fresh, was delicious and priced well. Cannot wait to try more of their menu items and bakery goods!

Such a wonderful addition to mid city! My husband and I came in a week or so ago to try everything and holy cow- we’ve been hooked ever since! Can’t go wrong with anything on this menu and everyone is so kind. Spectacular! I will even be placing a custom order in the next few weeks. I was planning on ordering somewhere else but the quality of my experience made me have to shift my plans! Everything is delicious and fresh, I couldn’t recommend them more.

I regularly go to this bakery/store for sweet/savory pastries and have often ordered from them for various holidays (pies, king cake, cupcakes, quiche). Everything has always been delicious and the service is excellent. I like their whoopie pie/cookie, icebox pies, cupcakes, and quiche the best (all my friends raved about the quiche this Easter).

I have ordered three CounterSpace BR cookie cakes now for my kids’ birthdays. We love CounterSpace because they are peanut free and because they have the best chocolate chip cookie recipe in existence. Just picked one up today for my son’s school birthday party and it was perfect: soft, fresh, delicious, and with perfect buttercream. Consistently excellent!

I recently moved to New Jersey from BR, and I just didn’t know how good I had it living down the street from counterspace. Their chocolate chip cookies and icebox pies are my Roman Empire. You know it’s serious when you still follow the Instagram account even after you move states. Thankfully I was able to get a king cake shipped, and with that, a little piece of home. Wish I was still there to visit their new locations and attend the baking classes, but anyone who asks me places to go in BR, this is at the top of my list!!

My husband and I lived in Baton Rouge about 2 years ago and I literally can’t get the treats from CounterSpace BR out of my head even 735 miles away. When we went back to visit in November, I sent a sweet IG message over about how I needed their ginger whoopie pies in my life, low and behold I walk into their shop and they had a bunch in their front case. I also picked up their pumpkin cookie sandwiches and quickly regretted only buying 2. We were beyond thrilled when they did gluten free king cakes this year as my husband had to cut our gluten and let me just tell you, that was probably the best king cake we’ve had and you would’ve never guessed it was gluten free.

My family and I have been Counterspace fans since she was in White Star Market! We’ve only had cookies and we’ve loved them every time. It’s been very cool seeing her business grow and expand over the past 6 years!

If I could do more than 5 stars, I would. Sara’s team did a beautiful job on my son’s birthday cake last month, and my daughter’s cake in August, and every treat I’ve purchased on a whim because it feels like a good day for a unicorn bar. Cakes are fresh, decorated neatly and colorfully, and so flavorful! Serving portions are generous sizes too.

I would give this place 100/100 stars. It really is the best, if you have a negative review about this place, that’s ur OWN fault! Never a negative thing to report. PS…If you want your order to be fresh when picked up, don’t pick it up 24 late (;

The Counterapace team not only love what they do, they are incredible at it! The salted chocolate chip cookie is the dessert of dreams. Can’t wait to try their breakfast items at Mid City and classes in Zachary soon!

we had counterspace for our wedding cupcakes last january and they were amazing! they were so accommodating with us being so indecisive and we ended up with three different flavors that were all amazing. we moved out of BR but we will always come back to visit this sweet little bakery. staff and owner are all so friendly and helpful always. never had a hard cake from here. Not when grabbing something from the case and not even our wedding cupcakes. Everything has always tastes fresh!

We love Counterspace! The chocolate chip cookies are amazing, so good and the best in Baton Rouge - the flavor and the salt on top are 👌🏻. Her sprinkle cookies, unicorn bars, and rice krispy treats are also delicious - these are items I get whenever I stop in. The king cake is delicious during carnival season. I ordered a cake for a party and not only was it beautiful, but it was delicious too! Submitting orders online is also super easy and convenient. I’m so excited to try the breakfast at the new mid city location! The staff is always so friendly and helpful whenever I visit the Bocage and mid city locations. Counterspace is the best in BR!

I have been a customer for 2+ years, always a HIT for tailgating season. They did a king cake for my baby shower, and most recently cookies for my nieces birthday. Always SPOT ON and so friendly. Absolutely love the new location!

Absolutely love this place! They make some of the best cookies I have ever had. I ordered a special cookie cake for a friend's bachelorette party in Bay St. Louis and it came out beautifully! Tasted absolutely incredible too. The cookie was thick and moist. The then-bachelorette and her now-husband have a thing for avocados and Sarah and her crew were able to add it to the cake! The small sized cake was plenty for the 8 of us to enjoy.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. This was the worst experience I have ever had as far as bakeries. The cake was very hard. It was extremely dried out. That cake obviously sat out for days before I picked it up. It was not edible at all. I was very embarrassed to have serve that cake at my son's birthday party. Literally, NO ONE ate the cake. I got so much negative feedback about that cake. Party guests asked me where in the world did I get that hard cake from. I watched children and adults spit the cake out because it was THAT hard and dry. I would have done better going to Walmart honestly. The store refused me a refund which is ridiculous because I paid $64.00 for a SIX INCH CAKE that NO ONE ate. THAT CAKE WAS FLAT OUT NASTY. The cake I am referring to is the cake that said, "Happy Birthday Cole." I would never do business with this bakery again.

Absolutely fantastic! I ordered their cookie cake and it was the best I have ever had! Staff is super friendly and ordering is extremely simple on their website. They were able to decorate it exactly how I wanted too!

They were awesome. I needed a small gluten free cake for my wife’s 30th birthday. They were able to make it 24 hours after I placed the order. Which goes against their 3 day order requirement. They pulled it off for me and my wife loved the cake.

I’ve been coming to the bakery for years. Everyone is so nice and friendly, the owner is an absolute gem. Their cakes and cookies are the best. All I can say is great things.

Sarah Joy, the owner, and the workers I encountered were all such a pleasure to work with! My bestie is dairy free, and her ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is red velvet with cream cheese. Sarah Joy came through with the most delicious cupcakes! We will definitely be back!

I tried their chocolate chip & sugar cookie for the first time today and I’m so obsessed! The outside was perfectly crunchy and the inside so soft. Plus, the owner was so friendly😍

CounterSpace made our wedding cake and did a fantastic job. Sarah Joy made the process very easy and delivered the cake herself. Delicious, beautiful, crowd-pleasing and still special. They also made a vegan and gluten free version of the cake in cupcake form for guests with dietary restrictions.

I have been to CounterSpace twice. A family member has been on a dairy-free diet for a few months now. The first time I got a dairy-free King Cake, and the second time I got a dairy-free pull-apart red velvet cake (essentially cupcakes iced to look like a cake). Both were delicious, especially the red velvet cake. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

First off, I would like to say the ladies and gentleman who work at the store are absolutely incredible. In September, my girlfriend ordered a cookie cake for my birthday, and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. They decorated the cake exactly as we asked for! Recently, we purchased a King Cake from them, and at first I was worried (New Orleans Boy speaking). I always thought NOLA would have the best, but I was wrong, the crew at Counterspace, got a special touch. I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to a dessert with fresh ingredients and little to no preservatives. This is the place to go!

I absolutely love this place. Their chocolate chip cookies are the best I’ve ever eaten!! The sprinkle cookies are classic and the unicorn bars are my kid’s favorite treat. And it helps that the owner is in the shop all the time and is the nicest person.

Counterspace is our favorite local bakery!! Everything is so delicious- we buy our daughter’s birthday cake from them every year, the king cake might just be the best Ive ever had, and we absolutely love the take & bake cinnamon rolls and the challah bread for Christmas Eve! Counterspace has some of the best desserts we have ever had. The cold brew pie, apple pie, and recently the basque cheesecake were all incredibly delicious. And we can never walk in the door without getting the salted chocolate chip cookies!

This is my go to spot for all my baked goods! Cinnamon rolls for every holiday morning and cakes for every birthday and other celebrations! Sarah Joy is an absolute JOY and amazing baker!

Counterspace BR has the absolute best chocolate chip cookie ever. The cinnamon rolls are divine. We just purchased the cookie decorating kit for the holidays and it was perfect. The kids (ages 2,3,6) loved decorating and eating the cookies! Don’t sleep on their cakes and that basque cheesecake. Perfection!

Back in the day, I had a car but was walking, lived at home with my momma, had a shorty but showed no love. Just trying to get with anyone but with no money. I was a scrub. Then I found Counterspace…. Now… I’m hanging out the passenger side of my best friends ride with a dozen of their salted chocolate chip cookies and some take and bake cinnamon rolls. And The ladies are now holla’in at me.

Amazing cookies and treats! I mean have you ever had the salted chocolate chip?!? And that’s not even my favorite! Sprinkles all the way here! Even the delicious rice crispy treats aren’t just your average..they’re SO GOOD! Plus other favorites like the amazing KING CAKES and KING CAKE POP TARTS OKKAAYYYYYY! Thank me later. Go get some! OH—and the pistachio cake. Y’all. I get one every year. It’s literal perfection. I don’t share at all.

I am obsessed with their sea salt chocolate chip cookies!!!! I don't think I can go a week without getting one. The sprinkle cookies are favorites of my kids, nieces and nephews. I'm constantly impressed with the quality of their baked goods. Oh, and the cinnamon rolls are now Easter and Christmas traditions for my family. We always grab and bake them for those special family mornings. I can't say enough good things about CounterSpace!

Hands down, my favorite chocolate chip cookies. Everything is phenomenal, but I just can’t quit with the chocolate chip cookies. I sent a few king cakes to out of state friends last year and got rave reviews on those as well! Everyone loved getting to decorate and participate in Mardi Gras from across the country.

Finally got to stop by, such a cute place! Sarah and her family were so sweet 💗We got the Gluten free chocolate chip cookie and salted chocolate chip were both great! (Couldn’t wait to try so excuse the bites 🤣)

I ordered a box of treats for a friend and accidentally entered the wrong delivery address. The bakery went above and beyond to help me - the correct address is outside their delivery zone, and I live in another state. The recipients said the cookies and cake pops were delicious as well. Highly recommend!
