Tiny, clean, wholesome, caring, and friendly place with incredibly well HOMEMADE food. Went for lunch and got breakfast. Local, fresh blueberry pancakes were extremely tasty. The most amazing Dearborn ham! The breakfast skillet with hash browns and gravy was delicious and fortunately not as "heavy" as you would expect... rather, the gravy was flavorful without being too thick. Nice counter and booth seating. On my list of local favorites!

I love Michaels restaurant! The food is excellent - we had breakfast and my eggs were perfect! I love the neighborly vibe and the owner and staff greeted so many people by name. It was busy when we arrived however we were seated immediately and our meal arrived quickly. The friendly welcoming energy was the best part- everyone was happy and the place was a buzz of positive joy, laughter, and happy chatter. Michaels is small yet comfortable, very clean, excellent service and warm welcoming people. It felt like I was walking into my Mom's kitchen with family surrounding me. Comfortable!

Neighborhood eatery, family owned, family operated, great service ( I mean that ). Only open for breakfast/ lunch, early dinner. The Owner bakes pies once a week I believe BUT you have to be really quick to get a slice or two, hand made from Grandma's recipe!

Our server Wilma was great!! Very friendly and attentive. Checked on us often. All the staff Checked on us to see if we needed anything. Our favorite diner !!!

My husband and I were in the area and stopped here to eat. Wow, smiled as soon as I walked in. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The food was fantastic. Wish there were places like this out by us. I bet we will drive an hour and 20 minutes to come back!

We have made this a regular weekend breakfast stop! You get a wonderful feeling of family and community as soon as you walk through the doors that is lacking in chain restaurants. Service is friendly and fast, and the food is always cooked to specification and delicious! This place is cash only so make sure to hit the ATM prior to stopping in! Oh and the sausage gravy is excellent!

It's so tiny inside, they say that they are very busy and people are waiting in there cars. I didn't see anyone waiting in there car. Cash only and it seems like they don't want new people to there. I waited out for a few minutes because a big guy was blocking the door. But when other people came I guess he knows them and moved and welcomed them in. And telling us that there were more people waiting. Well I didn't see anyone waiting or in a car. So I will never go there.

Second time here. Drove in from Belle River. Great food! Nice atmosphere. Super nice staff. The cash only takes me back to the good old days.

CASH ONLY. had to goto ATM so that was inconvenient. 3 meat omlette was a little dry. did not have tobasco and the ketchup was no label. food was kinda bland for my taste. price was about average, 29 dollars for 2. meh...

This was my first time trying this place. The wait staff was kind and incredibly personable. The prices were great and the food was even better. You've definitely got yourselves a return customer! Note: the list of pumpkin-flavored EVERYTHING was a pretty good incentive!

Michael's Family Restaurant is filled with LOVE, WARMTH & GREAT HOMEMADE YUMMINESS... Sandy & Art truly know how to WELCOME the regulars & WELCOME in the new. It's always a treat to see what yummy dessert is on the menu, as if you don't have room, you can always take home some for later.

Awesome place. Great staff. Go about once a month and am satisfied every time. Definetly recommended. EDIT: Changing my 5 star rating to 2.5. Was charged 52 dollars for a 4 slider meal added bacon, 6 chicken tenders, 2 cups of coffee and a punchki. I had to leave the restaurant to get more cash. Was absolutely shocked at the price. To me that is outrageous.

Amazing little lunch and breakfast place. I dined with them once right before Christmas. And ended up walking out with a little gift bag they were handing out to customers. Definitely a comfortable atmosphere. And they kept my coffee fresh and full the whole time we dined. Loved it

Very nice little family restaurant some booths or you can eat at the bar! only open for breakfast and lunch 4 days week... worth the trip. This week they had caramel Apple dumplings, looked delicious! Would have stayed for my meal, but had 2 dogs so picked up a Burger for them and a sandwich for me and off we went. Nice to meet you Michael's. Food was delicious.

Went in on July 2, 2021 and my food was absolutely amazing and the waitress I’ve known a while that used to bowl mon nights at my old job works here and she’s incredible. The staff knows everything and all there regular’s which I love. Did I mention the decor in this place…. Just the cutest. Love this place now and will definitely be back❤️❤️❤️ If you guys ever need waitressing help I’d be there in a heartbeat

No matter where you go you will not find a cleaner restaurant with great home cooking served by a friendlier staff. And, when it says home cooking that is exactly what they mean!! REAL potatoes peeled in house and cooked to perfection, all soups made from scratch NOT from a mix, pies and cakes made with authentic ingredients and baked right before your eyes and the turkey that they have on the third Thursday of every month is a whole turkey sliced and carved! Try this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed!

A hidden gem of the area, this place has some of the best food around

Excellent food in a friendly mom n pop atmosphere. I had the three meat and cheese omelette. It was fantastic. Friend had the skillet. Great portions. The bill came as soon as we were done. In and out in about half an hour. Will be back.

Good homecooked food- especially every 3rd Thursday of the month, a turkey dinner that fills you up. Happy thanks 4 giving!

I’ve been dining here for over 30 years and have enjoyed every meal. The owners and entire staff are amazing. Very clean restaurant and GREAT food. Try the owners turkey pot pie if it’s available and order double!

From breakfast to lunch, this place has everything, and it’s all amazing food. Also, it has really cute outdoor seating for corona stuff. The service is also very friendly and fast.

Food was great. A little bothered by the fact no one had masks on for making and serving the food and the fact that they were cash only. Large drinks are rather small so be aware of that before ordering a small drink. Other than that it was a good meal with outdoor seating or take out options available.

Great breakfast. Live near by and grab carryout all the time. Very nice staff. Up north, small town feel to the place. Omelettes, pancakes, eggs are all made perfect everytime.

This is a tiny, family owned diner serving breakfast and lunch. Cash only and not a lot of seating, but really good food at great prices and super nice, friendly staff. They will also let you order off-menu, like adding a single pancake to your breakfast. It's not really a linger over several cups of coffee kind of place. At least when it's busy, there's a pretty quick turnaround of tables. Highly recommend!

Little hole in the wall type place.Great food. Friendly service. Looks like the owner might of been a service member judging by the pictures and wrapped flags decorating the restaurant. I'm always looking to support our veterans so just added to the experience.

It's a small place and only open a few hours a day, the food is great, price's are very reasonable and if go in for breakfast the owner is usually backing goodies which you can purchase to take home.

First time in the area for business. Breakfast was delicious and the lunch menu looked great. Fresh, homemade ingredients. Corn beef hash was perfect. Service was very pleasant. Good people. I will definitely be going back when I am in town. CASH ONLY, but they do this to keep the prices down.

Always a five star meal at Michael's. Breakfasts are perfect, daily specials and they always greet you with a smile. Family owned and operated this place we love our secret little getaway place for a truly home cooked and home prepared meal. Don't forget third Thursday of every month they prepare a Thanksgiving style meal all the fixings and what a delicious feast. If your lucky and you get there early enough you have a shot at some homemade banana loaf or zucchini bread or homemade brownies to take home if it is there buy it on the way in it may be gone by the time you leave. BTW Cash only no CC or Checks here.

Cozy, clean, friendly, fine food, and one always gets a good meal at a great value. Homemade desserts by Sandy are great. This place seats about 24 people at the tables, four boths, and counter seats. There are plenty of parking spaces in a paved lot. This place is one of my favorite breakfast stops in Macomb County.
