I had the New Yorker, Pastrami Corned Beef Turkey and Swiss sandwich. Good portion of meat, loved the horsey mayo and the hoagie was probably my favorite part (besides the Corned Beef). Midway also employs individuals with developmental disabilities! Go support this business and their delicious food!

Great sandwiches and ice cream. Love the fresh baked bread. Friendly owner and staff. No brainer for a quick lunch or treat.

Holy Awesome!!!! I went in there the other day to grab a few things, one including ICE CREAM.... 🤤 OH man, talk about tasty!!!!! Everyone there working was amazing and so kind to my daughter and I. We will def. be back especially for that new ice cream flavor they had, it had pretzels in it..... yerrrrmmmmm!!!!

Nice sub place-about the same price as the national chains, but a lot better quality. The bread was nice and fresh. Yum!

I had a Reuben yesterday, the flavor was incredible and the cornbeef was so tender and juicy! As great as the Reuben was the flavor of the Chicken and Dumpling soup was amazing! I will be back!

This is my favorite sub shop. Their bread is the best and the sandwiches are always fresh and delicious! The cookies are insanely good. To top it off, they have ice cream! The owner and employees are always outstanding and so personable. Highly recommend!

This little gem was amazing. They bake their own bread, make their own corned beef, make the tuna salad from scratch per order, and soups from scratch. Owner was incredibly nice (he is a one man show, so just be prepared to wait a few minutes) and had us taste test a new potato soup he was making. I had the Ruben and would good back in a heart beat, wish I had gotten some soup too.

This place makes the best soup. The chicken n dumpling soup was super. I believe they must make their own bread for sandwiches because it is really good. They made my granddaughter a peanut butter sandwich which wasn't even a menu item. Just really nice owner.

Very friendly staff, delicious fresh made bread. The delicious fresh food hits your nose as soon as you open the door. I eat hear often and is usually the first place I reccomend to anyone asking where a good place to have lunch would be. Super welcoming interior for a comfortable place to meet with friends. Best salads ever! Croutons are homemade and amazing. Their bread is so soft and tasty and I highly recommend anything on rye. So tasty! We can't get enough of this place. Call it in to go and pick it up on our way home all the time.

Midway, pun intended, through my bike ride on “the great river trail” I stopped for a break and a Rueben sandwich. Excellent, friendly, clean, classic deli menu with some nice twists. Recommended.

Best sandwich shop in holmen or Onalaska. If your in the area give them some business it's worth every penny. Quality ingredients fresh baked bread. Good ice cream and cookies. The soups are awesome and not very expensive. 10/10

The people were super friendly. It was the first time I had French onion soup. It was really good. My husband, who has eaten quite a bit of FOS in his lifetime, also thought it was good. My sandwich was really good. There was plenty of each of the ingredients. I will go back when I am out that way again.

Was looking to try a new restaurant and happen to come across Midway Deli on Google. And it definitely did not disappoint! The customer service was great, friendly and very knowledgeable! My wife and I each ordered a different soup and sandwich combo which was ready in just a few minutes and it really hit the spot! Might just be our new favorite sandwich shop!

What a lovely little secret! We had no idea this place existed and are so glad we stopped. The food is great - everything is made fresh - and there's Cedar Crest ice cream cones!! The place is small but clean and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the quality of food, and the quality is what surprised us most. Our salads were fresh and crisp, the soup was AWESOME and I believe the sandwiches were served on homemade bread. This is about a half-mile from the Great River State Trail (from the old Petticoat Junction) and perfect lunch stop if you're out biking!

The hoagies are the best and I love their spinach feta salad and chicken dumpling soup.

Had a couple soccer games in the area today and needed to grab a bite for lunch, I'm a huge "support local" and by chance saw the Deli sign so we stopped in. The young lady was super off-putting, when I asked what the soups where today she rolled her eyes and pointed at the sign. Fine, maybe she was having an off day. We ordered 3 different sandwiches and the french onion soup and all I can say is yuk! The soup was cold and tasted awful, the sandwiches were horrible, and even the "homemade" bread had no flavor and was chewy. Absolutely disappointing. Oh and after a long wait for our food and disappointing service we actually had to go and ask for spoons. I usually give positive reviews but I have nothing positive to say about this place.

This place has gone WAY down hill since the previous owner left. The cashier today was so confused about their own products that she had to hold up the two sizes of bread to know which one I wanted. Said bread ended up being so undercooked that I couldn’t eat it and the bottom was so raw a little pinch flattened it right back into dough. There was also a sauce on there that was not on the menu and that I did not add that had a funky taste. The sandwich toppings are also lower quality now and they use less of them. If you liked the old place, you will be sorely disappointed with its current form.

The rye bread is to die for! So tasty! Got the rosebud and it was delicious. Good service and friendly people. Will definitely come again.

This place is amazing!! The subs are phenomenal. They have lots of chip and drink options too. I definitely recommend putting a cookie onto your order because they are fantastic!! All of the workers are kind, funny, and work hard to get things done. It’s a great place to grab a quick bite. 10/10 recommended giving it a try!!

Subs were very good. Somewhat small. Perfect for me, but probably not enough for a man unless he got the whole sub.

Update they started using new bread. It's still a great sandwich but I think I liked the old bread better. Or maybe I'm just reluctant to the change... kids love the ice cream. This time deep space was the favorite flavor. Thanks midway for always making us happy

Ham and Swiss sammy is yummy as is the chix wild rice soup. I suspect all the food is delicious. Friendly service too. Worth the stop!

This deli has the BEST party platters! They were able to whip up a variety of deli sub sandwiches, gluten free/veggie wraps, pickels, chips, salads and cookies to feed well over 60 people at my event, and for a very affordable price!

After going here, you won't want a sandwich anywhere else. Some of the most friendly and accommodating staff I've run into, and the bread was absolutely to die for. I cant believe I didn't try Midway earlier!

Great tasting sandwiches and soups. Very pleasant staff I'm guessing the owner but I have not talked enough to find out for sure. But all the stuff we're kind and courteous.

10 stars!!!! Been to midway many times. Never have I ever been disappointed in anything. The soup is amazing...what kind you say?.... all of them. The hougies are fantastic the cookies are a great end to an otherwise wonderful meal. Always my first choice for lunch options.

Visited with a friend for lunch; she said she's loved everything she's had there! I got an Italian hoagie and it was great! Fresh bread and all the fixings! She got a salad (sorry, don't remember what kind) and she loved it, too!

Made my first visit today and the New Yorker was one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite a while. The homemade roll puts it over the top. I have no problem paying $8.50 for a sandwich like that but you can get a half sandwich.

This is the best deli style sandwich in the area, and it isn't close. Her cakes are top notch, too.
