Great energy! Great food! Doesn't get any greater!! When you come into Lakeland it is a must to stop in.

Excellent fish and seafood from a take out window. They have 3 picnic tables in the parking lot to eat your food and it is just half a block to the lake where you can enjoy your food watching the swans. The service was friendly and they leave sweet messages on the drink cups

Went there last week after hearing it was great. I was not. Was told they had a few things that were exceptional, but it's called Mr. Fish so... I got the LG. Fish sandwich. The gal taking orders was excellent at up selling. + $.40 for lettuce, +$.40 for tomato, etc .. does not tell you she's racking up the $ every time she's asking you if you want this stuff on the sandwich. My fish sandwich came in 3 separate PC. Impossible to eat. It was an eatable sandwich. But it was nothing special!!! Slaw was also ok, but again nothing special. FF had no salt, whole meal was nothing special! I was very disappointed, as I was expecting greatness, after hearing how good this place was. 5 parking spots. My spouse just has a sm. Fish sand. And a water. $31 ......... Lots of great food in Lakeland. Amazed this place lives???

Fish and cheese grits r the best!

It has been open an busy for 45+yrs. It's a walk up Ole school window. With 3 picnic like tables. Small parking lot( across from lake Morton an city library). BIG PIECES OF FISH. Very good. They do have shrimp an fries an okra an a few other things but you go there for the FISH. no restrooms. Not suitable for dogs or kids bc of small surroundings. But there is benches at lake or bring your own bag chairs or but blanket on grass at lake as there are ducks an SWANS there.

We really enjoyed the food and fresh lemon aid. We will go back.

It smells like a dumpster outside. Because the dumpster is RIGHT THERE. But the food is always great and the people are nice.

I have been coming here since I was kid and the food is still the same, great as ever, but the prices could be a little lower, I ordered the two piece fish sandwich that comes with a small handful of fries and coleslaw, but I wanted to exchange my coleslaw for corn nuggets and it cost and extra $1 that I shouldn't have had to pay for and the whole meal with a drink was almost $24 which is ridiculous for fast food, for that price I should've been at a table inside with a menu eating... Overall the food was good, just need adjust the prices

The food was absolutely wonderful!!! The flavors were amazing in everything we had. There was 7 people in our group and we each got something different and everything again was amazingly great. The young men and 1 young lady we dealt with today Saturday July 13 was friendly, helpful and in my opinion went above and beyond! It took a little time to receive all our orders but again there was 7 people in our group and others walking up. Considering the amount of people and the fact our food was all fresh, it was well worth that little extra wait. Most of us had our orders within 10 minutes 15 was the longest if that. So I’d say maybe 20 minutes in total for everything. My only complaint was the lack of parking but with the library right there some were able to parked there. Also maybe the fan pointed towards the windows on the outside might be pointed towards the picnic tables. It was just too hot to really enjoy our meal to the fullest. Just a suggestion. Best fish sandwich you’ll ever eat!

While the food is decent you should really keep your menu up to date, On your website it says $9.99 for a dinner, but when we got there it was nearly $17.00 for each dinner! Seems like deceptive marketing to me.

I’ve recently found this gem, and I’ll return here often! The fish sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. The fries and coleslaw are amazing also! Very delicious!! I thought the corn nuggets were okay, I would pass on them, but don’t sleep on the fish sandwich!!

Their fish sandwiches are oh my God excellent got together with my wife and daughter and friend of theirs and had brats for lunch for Father's Day on Saturday was the only day available for them when we got through eating and left I asked my wife what are we going to have for supper playfully said fish sandwiches long story short we went from Winter Haven to Lakeland to go home to Bartow so we can have fish sandwiches for supper we have left Bartow to go to Lakeland just to have their fish sandwiches it's a small hole in the wall restaurant walk up window small parking lot if you don't know where it is you might miss it the food is fan fantastic!!!!!!

I don't eat Seafood per say, but my friend love this place.

Always pleased with the quick service and hot food. The portions for the price were just right. The fish was seasoned well. The cornmeal coating was a bit thicker than my last visit, but it didn't take away from the sandwich.

Walk up service. Mister Fish has been open for over 50 years. Outside seating and quick service on the day I was there. The fish sandwich was delicious. I will make eating at Mister Fish a regular occurrence.

I'm sorry the food is good but the container is bad. They are trying to poison customers. I have attached a picture. The heat from the food melt the packaging until holes are formed. This container is dangerous and poisonous for hot food. You should have been using paper container. I didn't realize the holes and once I say it, I stopped eating and threw away the rest of the food. It has been contaminated with poison. This shouldn't past health food inspection. If you want to use this container, this is fine for cold food or you just have to wait until the food is not too hot until it could burn the container. Never place hit oily food from a fryer directly in this type of container. It's common sense. They definitely don't care about their customers health and safety. Just looking for profit.

The best fish sandwich I have ever had. Thin breading so you can taste the flavor of fish. Not greasy at all The owner is a 10 very helpful and nice! A must try if you have not.

Been a while since I have eaten there. The fish was real not processed then. The hush puppies were burnt but the corn fritters were spot on. The coleslaw has too much vinegar. I did not want fries or onion rings, instead wanted coleslaw and corn fritters. They charged $1.00 each to replace fries and onion rings for them to keep onion rings and fries. Price was a bit high for what we got. Have no wish to purchase there again. Suggestion to current owners, check your reviews and take them to heart. Mr. Fish was the best fish place in town now going down hill.

Make sure you double check the menu. Their prices are incorrect and the workers are very rude.

From Minnesota staying in Orlando and had to make the trip based on reviews. The owner Michelle was super friendly and gave a ton of recommendations. All the food amazing and portions were filling. So happy to see a small business thriving in today's economy!

Too greasy Philly cheesesteak sandwich!

Our meal was definitely amazing. It was a bit pricey to me, especially when you add on drinks. But it was very tasty and worth it.

I come here every day for lunch, they treat me like family and it's become my new routine. Love all the people who work hard here and wouldn't trade it for anything

Purposely overcharged my wife for a 3rd chicken sandwhich when all we wanted was 1 basket and one sandwhich...My wife repeated herself and the Asian lady at the window still charged her for 3. We paid almost 60 dollars for 3 chicken sandwiches and some over fried chicken fingers. Food has gone downhill and the prices have gone up...I do not recommend this place anymore. Used to love it but their customer service as well as their food is hot garbage now.

We visited 1-20-24. I'd never had a fish sandwich with mustard and ketchup, but I must say it is surprisingly delicious. They have some of the best fried fish I've ever tasted at Mister Fish. The coleslaw and French fries are excellent too! That's all I can rave about since this was our first trip here. I'll be back.

You need to get used to the atmosphere. The customer service is not great but manageable. Do not expect ehat you think. This is still no more than a 4 star facility. All in all maybe great on a bright sunny day but in January a very negative place to eat. Will not make you feel good after...😔

Worst customer service ever. Over charged for an order. I was asked to if I could just take it since I paid for it. Found another item that was missing. I called back and spoke to the manager. She was indifferent letting me know it was just at a few extra dollars that I paid. So I guess no big deal. Her solution was to call back next time and ask for her so she could take my order correctly. Tried to eat my sandwich the bread was soggy. The fish breading was coming off the fish. I won’t be back. Super sad. I used to love this place.

have a website that is up and operating with outdated menu prices, but of course you don’t find that out until you pick up your order. Their excuse is “we don’t have anything to do with that site…we don’t control it”. Excuse me? It has your “Mr. fish” sign and logo, your menu items (with outdated prices that have since doubled), and your phone number and address. Basically the excuse I was given was “not our problem”. Umm…actually it is. If they own the business, then I’m sure a good attorney could have the site taken down by contacting google…but it’s probably easier just telling people “oh well….not our problem”. Great tasting sandwich, horrible customer service, and absolutely no excuses in 2023 why you have a website that is incorrect and outdated.

Our first visit to Mister Fish! There were some positives and negatives to share, I'll start with the positives. We ordered the fish sandwich and a fish basket. The same pieces of fried cod were in each. I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness, flavor, and texture of the fillets. Very tasty, not oily or greasy, and a delicate light batter. We really enjoyed them. The sides of fries, cole slaw, and baked beans were also very tasty and flavorful. Fries were crispy and done just right. The staff at the window was friendly and cheerful. They communicated well. On to the negatives. It is outdoor seating only, just a few picnic benches. It's in a sketchy neighborhood and we are pretty sure we saw a drug deal across the street. We also observed cars cutting through the parking lot to short-cut to the side street. We did not feel safe sitting here and dining. It would certainly be better to order take-out but we didn't know this beforehand. We felt that the prices were rather high for this kind of counter-serve restaurant, especially for the sides. A tiny cup of baked beans was $4 (it was about 3 bites worth). They were certainly tasty but this cost was just way too much. The meal ticket was over $40 for the two of us. Overall the meal was good, and I would stop in again for take-out if I am in the neighborhood. But I advise patrons to not attempt to dine on-site and to avoid extra side orders.

Great food for a hole in the wall place.

I came today with my gf and I ordered the small fish basket and she ordered the chicken tenders boat. Both came with fries and mine came with coleslaw. The chicken tenders were flavorless, the fries tasted freezer burnt, the fish on the sandwich was also flavorless. The drinks were good though.

Had the large fish sandwich, fries & coleslaw for a quick lunch. The fish sandwich lacked flavor, in my opinion. Corn nuggets were good.

I'd like to start out by saying, I've ordered from many places through Doordash or Uber Eats, including small businesses like Mr. Fish. However, I have never felt so appreciated as I did yesterday when I ordered a large Mr. Fish sandwich, a chicken croissant and a fish & chips meal. My order arrived, very fresh. All the boxes had hand-written notes on them...."we love you", "we appreciate you". Believe me when I tell you that beyond the food being amazing, this was such a nice gesture to let me know they cared that I was supporting their business. I called the manager today to give my thanks and there was a little hesitation at first....as always when you call and ask to speak with a manager. I passed on my gratitude to her and her employees. She was so kind and even asked if I had any complaints or any suggestions, just amazing! Very well done! Keep up the great customer service and keep cooking amazing food!

Been in Lakeland for years the best fish sandwich around

I have loved Mr Fish for years. Get it the way they serve it! They are a little heavy on the onion but otherwise perfect! My mouth waters even now!

After a not so good breakfast in Tampa this morning, we stopped in Lakeland for a Mister Fish sandwich. My 2nd time here and I must say the first time was much better. Everything is made to order so we had piping hot sandwiches, fries & coleslaw. Although the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I asked for tater sauce and they wanted to charge me 69cents. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back! If I already paid for a fish sandwich basket, why do I have to also pay for tater sauce. Good customer service would have been to give me the sauce and tell me next time there will be a charge. Can’t say I will go out of my way to stop here again.

Shrimp was fried hard,I will specify next time. Not too. But overall was very good. Seasoned perfect.

Whenever I visited my daughter at the college. I would try to make sure I stop by for some catfish. It was always cooked to order. I do not recall the fish ever being old (where it had a fishy taste). It reheated ok most times. The corn nuggets! Will put you to sleep. 🤣

I tried Mr.Fish for the first time... There's outside seating only so I walked to the beautiful lake only a block away and sat with the swans. I'm on a budget so I ordered the fish sandwich platter which came with fries for (I changed out for tots) and cole slaw. The tots were amazing, crunchy and perfectly salted. The fish was very light, fluffy, buttery and so good! It was way more than I could eat and had at least 5 large pieces of fish on the sandwich so I have lots of leftovers... and all for only $15 ! I'll be back for sure and so glad it was recommended by a friend!
