This is our favorite sushi place and we've tried them all.

Excellent customer service and great food. This place is consistently good every time I eat there. The burning man roll is my favorite special roll. Very happy to support them.

Fantastic staff that is very attentive. Never had a long pause between wanting something and someone coming to accommodate. The food is always Fantastic! Full disclosure... I get the alien roll, which I love, but without the Wasabi. Tame palette for spices but big fan of this spot.

I'll start by saying this place is amazing! I've already been here 4 times since it's opened. The staff is very friendly, courteous and quick. It's a very nice atmosphere that you don't expect in the heart of elmwood. This is actually a gem! The sushi rolls are amazing and fresh. The lunch specials are definitely worth it! It's always a plus that the staff recognizes you've been there before and provide excellent service! Psssssst try the miso soup.. it's GOod Soup!

If you want rice only this is the place for you. Out of all my life this is the first time I received poorly made rice and 1oz of salmon teriyaki. they gave me a huge garden salad and no protein. I spoke to the manager and she said there is nothing she could do about and start saying how cheap the price is. I asked her if I could purchase a side order of salmon she said no there is no button for that. This service and food was insulting and it didn't even taste good. 😫 Ugh.

My wife and I heard good things about about this sushi place. We decided to stop for an early dinner. Place had 2 other guests and we were able to choose where to sit. Was promptly greeted and we got our drinks. My wife had the sunshine roll and I had the red October. Both were ok and were displayed nicely.

Walked in greated with good service. Asked for a menu, ordered tuna roll, salmon roll and dragon roll. Loved the topped eel on the dragon roll. It was stuffed with imitation crab meat. The salmon was fatty and delicious.

I really enjoyed this little place in Nawlins! My sushi was fresh and great value. Probably would suggest takeout. It was busy, so the word is out. Enjoy!

An unexpected good fusion restaurant in an unlikely location. Fast, absolutely delicious, creative, hot to the table with excellent, helpful, friendly service. We had a short time for lunch and decided to try it out. We will be back and bring friends!

Prices are slightly gouged for some sushi. It's nearly half the price in Texas.

New lunch spot aquired! Long-ish review... i live on the northshore but work on the soutshore... we have many good sushi places on the northshore but my favorite has won best sushi on the northshore for 3 years striaght. Point being, Ive been to many sushi places that have had good sushi and bad sushi... i was optimistic with Mizu and was not let down.. first time in just a few minutes ago and i ordered togo (playboy roll.) The place was clean as well as organized (for its smaller size).. order did not take long at all and it was absolutely delicious... temperature of the food was great.. consistancy was nice and the flavor was there! Will definitely be back for more

As always, it was very good. Our server was attentive, but not bothersome. We ended up losing track of the time and stayed past the closing time. They never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. It's totally a class act! Top notch sushi and the miso soup was perfect. Never too salty like you find in many Asian restaurants.

Great fresh sushi. The MT. Fugó roll is delicious. The clear soup is is clean and tasty. We will definitely return for more.

Good, service, atmosphere were all wonderful. My wife’s favorite food is sushi and it’s my least favorite food, but luckily Mitzi’s pad Thai is INCREDIBLE so we finally have a place we both love! Also, my 7 year old daughter who is the pickiest eater on the planet says it’s her favorite restaurant and is “ultimate good” 😂

My go-to for sushi and tataki, Not a gorgeous location on the map, but very pleasant, new and always clean. Very nice fast service. They accommodate special orders too, Top tier Japanese food. Highly recommend.

Love this place, their food is super fresh and tastes amazing. I used to get the chicken katsu roll from Sake Don until they closed in 2020. I have not found anywhere in the city that makes it. This place helps me get what is close to that by ordering a veggie roll and sesame chicken bites. They allow me to customize a roll without ridiculously overpriced substitution fees. The alien roll and the BBQ eel roll are a must. On previous visits I've had the tempura veggies, great choice, and the gyozas are perfect. I can't think of anything bad to say about this place. Reasonably priced, clean, fresh, delicious food, and friendly service, even to a weirdo like me that orders chicken with sushi.

If you are like me, thinking how good could an Asian fusion restaurant be in front of Walmart. Let me tell you. I was wrong. This place has become a staple in our weekly date night! Jennifer is the definition of service. She needs a doctorate in memorization because she is THAT GOOD! Try their fresh teriyaki sauce and don’t pass up on the crab Rangoon. This place deserves every penny!

Really good food and good people

We came for the sushi, and we keep going back for all the hidden gems on the menu. The appetizers and cooked food are just as flavorful, and carefully crafted, as the sushi. Worth checking out next time you are in the neighborhood.

AMAZING & WELCOME addition to the area. Our server was Jennifer. She is friendly and quite good at anticipating the needs of her customers before they have to ask for anything. We start with Clear Soup & Miso soup. Oh, my!!! Delicious broth bursting with flavor that warmed the soul on a cold day. Next come the fried to perfection Crab Ragoon made with actual Blue Crab mixed with the perfect amount of cream cheese with a salty, sweet sauce on the side. Followed that with Hamachi Kami (baked yellow tail neck).A generous size filled with clean, fresh, perfectly cooked meat. The Mizu Salad is piled high with fat chunks of the frshest tasting salmon, tuna, whitefish & thinly sliced marinated squid The avocado slices were perfectly ripe all served with cucumbers in a ponzu type dressing. We finished with the Alligator Roll. It was not just a mushy mixture of rice and whatever like most places but each individual ingredient was allowed to shine. The prices are reasonable. The portions are generous. The service is excellent. The restraunt is clean. I will not be eating Sushi/Asian Fusion anywhere else. I can't can't wait to go back.

I ordered the Tempura Shrimp Bento Box from the Lunch Menu, it was a lot of food and everything on there was very good. Our waitress was also very attentive and kept our drinks refilled.

Had the Alligator roll, the Cajon roll, the Dynamite roll, and the noodle salad. The service and the food were excellent.

Great place for authentic sushi and sashimi. Jennifer our server was super friendly an attentive, plus she makes the best lemon drop martini. The steak tartar was very fresh and delicious. The crab Rangoon, get this, uses actual real crab meat. The miso soup was so creamy and super tasted. This place is unjustified under the radar clearly this place is in the top five sushi places in the area. We will be back!

Since the closure of Saki Don we are very excited about a new neighborhood sushi place ! It didn't disappoint. The staff was great! Lunch prices were a little high, but overall very very delicious. We can't wait to go back

We just ate here for the first time on a neighbor's recommendation. Don't let the location by Walmart, Rallys, and the Game Stop keep you from trying it. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. We enjoyed miso soup, beef tataki, harumaki, cold noodle salad, and an assortment of rolls. The cold noodle salad is one of the best I have had. The beef tataki is excellent as well. As for the rolls, I recommend the alien and emerald rolls. Both rolls were full of fresh fish, yet each piece was easy enough to eat in one big bite. My children shared the Boston roll and devoured it within minutes. I highly recommend trying Mizu out for yourself. It is my new favorite sushi spot.
