Tried their goat sukka and goat curry and it was soo good. The spice level was also great.

We ordered veg tandoor platter, saoji chicken, garlic naan and Kaju curry. The food was very average and doesnot compare to the original saoji recipe. The food was overpriced for the quantity that was provided. Total bill was 92$ which would have 50-60$ at other indian authentic restaurant with same ambience and almost same order hut may be better food. Service and ambience was decent. The owners were cordial and were talking with everyone. One of the good things is they have a small stall from Chitale Bandhu.. i love their bhakarwadi. All in all Nagpuri Saoji is a 1 time visit. They need an authentic chef.

Our first visit to this location was a superb experience, in terms of some lip smacking and scrumptious authentic food from Nagpur. The owner Swapna and Neeraj have really taken the Regional Indian food and experience to another level. I was truly impressed by the warm hospitality as well as the ambience that adds to the experience. They also have a good selection of snacks and desserts locally made in Maharashtra. In terms of the food, taste, flavor and spice levels everything was on point and hit the mark. Surely I will be visiting them again. If you’re looking to get the Desi Food fix with some flair, surely give them a visit.

The vada pav, sabudana wada n chai was good. The tarri poha was okay and had less salt.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend and loved it. I've never had Nagpuri food before. Our waiter guided us well through the menu to help us decide our order. Like their signs outside, the food is spicy!! The misaal pav was my favorite, bhakri roti was very different too.

If you like authentic nagpuri or maharashtrian cuisine, you must visit this place. We went there on mother’s day so there were only thali options. We tried all the thalis. Goan fish thali was delicious. Misal pav was also good.

If tou want different indian food taste this is the location I love it. Never had indian food like this before. Specially Sauji goat thali.i finished everything.

We ordered Saoji and had an amazing experience. The initial order that they shipped was delayed due to weather conditions but the management was kind enough to ship a replacement with overnight delivery. Our food reached us in time. The food no doubt was superb.

For non Indians: this is food from a specific region of India. You won't get this stuff at a typical Indian restaurant. Try it. Super authentic and flavorful

Dont go here and waste money. This one star for food. Honestly i came with lot of expecations but its not only pricy but price doesnt justify taste as well. Its missing nagpur taste.. I had it in india and its way different that what tastes in india. Tarri poha tarri is thick and same to mutton curry. Honestly i can make better taste curry at home rather than wasting my money here.. Thought i will come with friends again but Not visiting again. Using same curry for mutton and tarri poha. You should chsnge your chef

We were a party of six with two kids and were hoping for a fun dinner. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre and not warm enough for a pleasurable experience. We hinted to the staff and were hoping they would make amends but alas there was no response and no remedies…. Don’t think we will go there again.

My recent visit of Nagpuri Saoji was delightful culinary journey back to authentic Saoji cuisine of Nagpur. The rich flavors of their signature dishes, such as the spicy Saoji Chicken and Goat Sukka were mouth watering. Special shout-out to chicken banjara and Tandoori Fish. The staff are warm and enhances the overall dining experience, making it a must-visit.

Had lunch today ! Awesome food and service! The Butter chicken was excellent! The garlic rice was also great! The pAAn dessert was very unique and delicious! The service was excellent! She really did well explaining the menu. The food was so wonderful that I will be back several times next week. Love the place!

If you ever want to try something spicy then this place is for you. My friends and I went to this place for brunch. The place was neat and clean and very well organized. We ordered saoji thali, misil pav, veg thali and chicken thali. Everything was great the quality and quantity of dishes. Misil pav and vada pav are too good. Definitely worth the visit and highly recommended.

Based on the reviews, I ordered Misal Pav, Paneer Butter Masala and Roti for pick up. The Misal pav is so watery and does not taste good at all! Pav is so stale and didn't come toasted with butter. 11.99 for Misal Pav I ate is not at all worthy! Secondly, paneer butter masala tastes like ready to mix Rasoi magic with butter added to it. The tawa rotie's are not so great either. I wouldn't go or recommend them for these items.

We were about 8-9 people and visited this place in july and I was particularly excited to try Nagpur Saoji after a long time as Nagpur is my hometown. However, I was really disappointed when the mutton sukha came undercooked and the chicken sukha felt as if someone had just put boiled chicken in a readymade curry. Also the saoji chicken curry was no way near a Nagpur saoji , I would say not even 10%. I believe the new outlet opened in Edison might be better than this however at this location we left thoroughly disappointed.

By far the best Indian restaurant in Philadelphia and NJ area . They have not compromised the taste as is often seen in other Indian restaurants. Food is very flavorful. We tried goat Sukha, tarri poha, patodi curry and bharwa baingan. All the items were excellent. Service is excellent as well. Highly recommended

I got Saoji chicken curry as my entree with medium spicy level. It was spicy so beware! All the street food options/appetizers were very good. Great portion for the price!

This is definitely one of the best places we ate. Food was great and tasty. However, it’s not exactly Saoji style, but taste was fantastic! Only negative is slow service, so keep that in mind and then go. Place is really not that big, but comfortable for small group. People were nice and helpful, but kitchen is slow, so very little they can really help with. Do try this place …

A very different experience from the usual Indian restaurant. It focuses on food from a region of India and executes it very well.

Nagpuri Saoji is one of the best restaurants to have Maharashtrian style food. The restaurant offers authentic Nagpuri style chicken and mutton dishes. The Saoji Chicken Curry was the absolute best. Along with non veg options they also have Misal, Vada Pav and Sabudana Vada out of which we tried the misal and it was much better than most places I have tried. They have recently opened a new outlet in Edison. Do visit for some authentic Maharashtrian cuisine.

Excellent food. Real Nagpuri taste in US. Zanzanit aahe. Opted for Delivery and first attempt was messed up due to UPS. Owners were kind enough to resend entire order and finally it reached in proper shape. Packaging is excellent and so is the taste. One suggestion to owners - Open outlet in midwest (Chicago / St Louis) :)

It's a great Authentic Indian / Maharashtrian cuisine restaurant. It has a nice and clean atmosphere. The food tastes great and it has an Indian level of spiciness. It is must try restaurant if you want to try Nagpur Maharashtrian style food.

Ek Number Bawa! Ekdum Mahol! It's just too good. It's as if you are eating poha at Kasturchand Park or Kesav! Most authentic taste of Vidarbha!

I was surprised to know when our host decided to take us here we being from Nagpur. Saoji is something which is native to Nagpur and our community though we were skeptical but food was really good. We asked them to keep it less spicy and it was spiced to perfection. The service was also good.

A pleasant departure from usual Indian fares. Loved puran poli, and rest of the Saoji food items. Only disappointment was the Chicken Sukka appetizer wasn’t dry fried chicken I had at other places, it was a curry item.

Simply awesome. Authentic homemade style Maharashrian Indian food. Not oily, great use of spice, and truly delicious flavors of Nagpur and Bombay street food. Looking forward to coming back soon.

An amazing experience all around! The food is both unique and delicious, I've never had anything like it and I'm willing to bet you haven't either. The service was excellent and helped us enjoy our meal despite one of our party having an onion allergy. All of our questions were answered clearly and patiently. If you're tired of your usual take out then do yourself a favor and try this restaurant!

Party of 5, and we shared our dishes. Absolutely everything was delicious. The server was extremely attentive to my husband’s food allergy issues, and recommended several dishes safe for him to eat. We brought our own wine. The whole experience was delightful. Will definitely return.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Off the charts flavors and spice levels! We were warned that their mild is more like a medium and their medium is spicy and it was true!! But still not so spicy that you loose the flavor of the chicken, goat or veg! Their mango lassi is also sweet and creamy that it can be for dessert! We had prompt and friendly service and will be returning with friends!! Also it is BYOB! Can’t get any better or more authentic! Thank You!

Great food. Be aware most dishes are spicy even at "mild" level. Gluten free options without cross contamination.

Jabardast! Thats only word we said while having dinner at Nagpuri Saoji(Islin NJ branch). Seriously the most authentic Nagpur(Maharashtra)cuisine I had since moved to US. Food packed with flavors that devote more to artistry than merely heat and garam masala. I recommend this place to all who want to try “Assal Varhadi” taste. We ordered online from them many times but having dine in experience with such a humble and lovely owners Swapna and Niraj added that extra touch of homely feel. I can’t thank enough to both to bring food such a authentic food so near to us. Big big congratulations Nagpuri Saoji team!!

It is a small place with just 3 guys managing tables and kitchen. We had a horrible experience. The service is very bad. You have to wait for around 30 min to just be seated even when the table is free, because there is no one to clear and clean that table. Getting hold of the waiter is a fight and each dish takes forever to come. They didn't even let us know that some of the dishs we ordered are not available. Only after waiting for 30 min when we ASKED they told us that. Food is above average at best but service is poor.

Had been to this place 3-4 times in past year. 1.5 hours drive to this place is totally worth it. If you ever had Saoji chicken in Nagpur India, you will totally relate to the taste you get here. will highly recommend this place with family & friends. We ordered Misal pav, saoji chicken curry , bharva baigan and puran poli. All dishes were really tasty excluding the misal pav. Not sure if bread was bad or the curry had any special spice which did not taste good.. I would not order again (so 4 stars). Overall, other dishes tasted yummy and the server was really nice. It is clean small place. Will visit again.

I tried their goat curry, really tasty really soft. After long time I had really good food. People who loves spicy food they will love it, can be made mild upon request. DEFINITELY GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE.

The one and only authentic Maharastrian Saoji restaurant in the States. If you want to experience real indian spicy food, this is the place. Hats off to the enthusiastic and warm owners. Service is extremely good for dine-in as well as delivery. I recommend - Saoji Chicken Curry, Saoji Goat kheema, Goat Sukka. Only place to serve aunthentic Shev Bhaji. I asked for full saoji level spicy and its REAL spicy. Jowar bhakri is a must with these. Dont miss out the Goat paya if you are a Paya lover.

If you’re craving Saoji food in US, this is your place to be. We had Tarri Poha, Sabudana Wada, Saoji Mutton, Zhunka, Patodi Rassa, Bhakri and Solkadi. Everything was so tasty and authentic. The hospitality was amazing too. Definitely going to visit this place again.

One of the best restaurants with authentic spices and taste similar to what we used to have it in India. Quality has been maintained for almost all the food options. Probably the first restaurant for me in the USA which is this good.

This is a very authentic Saoji restaurant. The owner couple are lovely people, from Nagpur, from where the Saoji style of cooking originated. The goat/mutton curry has to be the highlight, while all other options are wonderful. We from Nagpur are truly very fortunate that this authentic Soaji place exists in New Jersey, it takes us back home.

This is a one stop shop for all your needs. You think about any Saoji dish in mind and this place will fulfill your promise with 100% authenticity and hospitality. Limited menu, amazing spicy Indian taste. Small in size, there were total 6 tables. So one may have to wait if there is a big group already in. Not much space to wait, take away if possible. Takes time to serve as they prepare all food items fresh. Must try - Sol kadhi, Egg curry , Sev bhaji. It’s a non veg paradise for meat lovers from India, specifically if you belong to Maharashtra (Vidarbha)

Came across this place and being a nagpuri couldn’t wait on trying. The experience was definitely a trip down memory lane. Everyone was very welcoming being we went around closing time. Food was fresh, spicy and amazing to say the least. It was served in steel plates reminding of how it used to be back home. Cannot wait to visit again.

Visited when we were in NJ recently. If you like spicy Maharashtrian food this is the place to go. We had the chicken, mutton and shrimp with freshly made Bakhri. One of the best meals I have had in some time.

We drove over an hour to try Nagpuri Saoji and it was totally worth it. The food was absolutely delicious and we loved everything we tried. Chicken sukka will probably be my favorite and would highly recommend ordering that for appetizer. Tarri Poha was pretty good too. Chicken Saoji was good but Mutton Saoji was even better ..meat was beautifully cooked and was very tender. We paired the entrees with roti and garlic rice which worked very well. Service was excellent and we felt like home especially with food being served in stainless steel plates. We can't wait to come back and try more. IG: journey_man16

Amazing experience!!! The food was delicious and as close as it can get to the authentic nagpuri Saoji. We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem and it did complete justice to our expectations. We started off with Tarri pohe and Tarri samosa with the spice level set to “ Nagpur tej”. The Tarri was flavorful and perfectly made. Topped with farsan and a side of chopped onions. We also tried goat kaleji, which was great as well. For the mains we got chicken Kheema, bharli vangi, mutton saoji and jowar bhakris. All the dishes were spicy and flavorful. The bharli vangi was slightly uncooked and a little tough but the traditional peanut stuffing was superb. We finished with a glass of creamy, soulful “soulkadhi”. Our stomachs were full but the tastebuds wanted more. The staff was very friendly and provided quick service. Will surely be back to try the rest of their items!

The BEST authentic Indian restaurant we’ve been to in the US in the past five years! Authentic Saoji and Nagpuri cuisine, great taste and wonderful service!! We had the Patodi Rassa, Tarri Poha, Chicken Sukka, Chicken Curry, Goat Kheema - and every preparation was unique, authentic and made to perfection with great care. Rocky and the rest of the staff were amazing and took care of us really well. We’ve found our new favorite Indian restaurant, and will coming back for more!

Best Maharashtrian non veg food I have ever had. We had reserved this restaurant for 25 friends and had variety of food. Goat Sukka, Chicken Curry, Bhakri and Sol Kadhi were best. They also have vegetarian options. I would recommend this place for authentic Nagpuri specialities.

The portion size is generous and easily be shared among 2-3 people. Would suggest going in group to enjoy the variety from the menu options.
