We walked by the shop about 5 min after closing tonight and were so disappointed we didn’t make it in time for some macarons! One of the women working inside saw us looking and came to the door to offer us free cupcakes that they would have to throw out. We had 3 kids with us and they were thrilled. Obviously, this experience deserves 5 stars but in the many years we’ve come to Amelia and visited this place, we’ve always been so satisfied with the service and the food! These people are awesome!

Locally owned Nana's bakery is a place you must visit when you come to Fernandina Beach. They didn't have my favorite today (chocolate croissant), so I tried to fresh fruit tart. The combination of textures and flavors was absolute deliciousness! The almond croissant was everything you would need for an almond flavor blast in your mouth. It was flaky and crispy, and when you pulled it apart, it was soft - perfect creation! The service was just as sweet as the pastries. They also offer robust coffee, tea, hot chocolate, boba teas, blue bell ice cream, and custom-made cakes - everything reasonably priced. You can purchase to take-out or take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere. Come by & enjoy! Blessings!

The lemon cake and coffee cake are to die for!!!!

This review is primarily for a custom cake. I was happy they were able to take my order about a week out. They made a very cute cake, matched the theme and it was impressive for the party. The cake was not very good though- dry and filled the flavorless heavy buttercream, not the fruit filling we ordered. It was fine, but I really can't say it was good. I hope they work on the cake, it would have been so much better if it wasn't overcooked and dry, the flavor of the cake was pretty good. We also bought a few cookies for a snack. I thought the chocolate chip was decent, but I like the cookies from chikfila better!

I called a week ago and ordered a three tier cake very custom. I talked with Mark. He was excellent on the phone answered all my questions. I cannot express How happy we were with the cake. They took pictures that I sent them and made an amazing happy birthday retirement cake. It was the focal point of the party very detailed. The cake was delicious. We could not be happier. Thank you Nana, Theresa, and Mark for being so helpful.

We arrived just before closing time, and even though they were running low on most of their treats (a good sign of popularity!), I managed to snag a delicious brookie sundae. It was absolutely amazing! My kids happily enjoyed their vanilla ice cream too. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were incredibly friendly. They didn't rush us at all, even though we were close to closing. This was a great last-minute find, and I'll definitely be back for another sweet treat on our next visit to the island!

I was a vendor at the Shrimp Festival who was lucky enough to be located right in front of this amazing little shop. Papa Mark came out to great us as we set up our booth, and he was so nice. Later Brie came out and asked us what we liked then prepared our order for us. She was always checking on us. Absolutely the sweetest lady. I tried the Zombie cookie and oh my goodness, it was life changing! I've eaten alot of cookies in my life, but this was easily the best cookie of my life!!!! I would absolutely recommend this place! 😀 Update: I'd like to suggest a spin off cookie. Take the Zombie, add a light drizzle of Carmel, a dollop of marshmallow creme, and a dusting of cayenne pepper and call it the zombie from hell!

Nana Teresa’s made our daughter’s 16th birthday cake and cupcakes and it was exactly what we wanted! Everyone raves about how beautiful and delicious it all was! Placing our order was so easy! Upon picking up our order, we purchased even more baked goods that were available and they were to die for!!! We will return!!

I Must visit Nana Teresa’s when ever we’re on the island. The atmosphere is a throw back to the mom and pop bakeries I remember growing up. The staff are all knowledgeable, and papa Teresa is a wealth of knowledge. Absolutely cannot live without an almond croissant, but all the croissant based confections are fabulous.

They made THEE most perfect cake for my husband's birthday! Everybody that saw the cake wanted to know where we got it. I had a surprise party at a local restaurant and the cake was literally the talk of the evening. My husband was so excited and couldn't stop sending pictures to everyone. And it was delicious!! Decadent. If you aren't sure about ordering from Nana Teresa's, just DO IT. You will not be disappointed! The staff could not be more helpful and friendly!

This place is the highlight of Fernandina Beach. If you do nothing on Amelia Island but this you will be so happy. Everything is good (and we pretty much tried it all). Go here. Go here now.

We recently happened upon this most charming bakery. I had a crumb cake that took me back to the good old days in New York City when bakeries made real food. It was delicious. Can’t wait to return soon to try other baked goods.

Just wanted a great sweet for after dinner. Coconut creme pie was outstanding! We were hoping to get a specific pastry but it was sold out. Never thought I'd love the pie as much as I did. Perfection! Thank you!

The sign on the sidewalk in front of Nana Teresa's Bake Shop invited me in for coffee and it was time for a afternoon latte. They said they had the best espresso in town. The latte was made with a Nespresso espresso pod, not freshly ground espresso. Instead of the one raw sugar I requested, and without telling me they did not have raw sugar, nor asking if they could subsite, they added three large pumps of concentrated sugar syrup. The result was a nasty not-consumable waste.

We have vacationed in Amelia Island annually for 10 years and this is the place I dream about between visits. The beautiful and delicious cupcakes are a daily necessity supplemented by alternating all of the others - macarons, giant cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc. The staff is so friendly and the decor very cute .... Nana is a master!

We had a great experience today. The chai with honey boba was delicious. We bought a piece of cake after talking with one of the employees. He was so friendly and helpful.

Traveled 2.5 hours each way to pick up a lavendar honey cake for my wedding. The owner of my venue said that hes had a LOT of cake in his time and this was NOT in the top 10 but actually NUMBER 1. And I agree. That is why we traveled so far to get it. :-) We come here every time we are in Amelia island and honestly I think this bakery is WHY we visit Amelia Island so often.

Go and get some sweets from this sweet little shop! I had a piece of cheesecake (I shared it w my DH!) and my sis had the chocolate chip cookie which was loaded w chocolate chips!😍 Fabulous! I didn’t take any pics but trust me!!! You will not be disappointed!

This place gets lots of foot traffic die to its ideal location next to shops in town. I tried the ice cream and macrons. The ice cream was very good hard scooped and I highly recommend the cinnamon ice cream but the classic chocolate is also good. The macrons were also delicious. Both girls who helped me were very friendly. they have a couple of seating options inside.

We got the holiday treats and they were great. I highly recommend the gingerbread and egg nog macrons! They’re always so nice here. The tres leches cake is also great.

Horrible costumer service . We went during the Charles Dickens festival and when one of friends were going to order something the thin lady in the elf costume with long brown hair was very rude to her.she said “What cone? What cone?what cone ?”condescendingly with out giving her a chance to answer . Then my mom asked the worker if she just scooped the ice cream or she also got the baked goods.she replied to the question with “Well it is a bakery.”In a very rude and annoyed tone. My mom and our friends decided we were not going to buy anything and walked out.We will never go back and strongly do not recommend this place.

The most terrible customer service I’ve ever experienced. Every time the girl in an elf costume scooping ice cream spoke to a customer , she was condescending ,rude, aggressive , and pretentious .I would never advise anyone to go to this business.

Girl in the elf hat was the sweetest worker! We were there for Dickens on Centre tonight- the bakery was constantly slammed and the workers could barely breathe. The girl in the elf hat (thin, brown hair) still smiled as she worked through the line trying to get people in and out. We have been in the bakery several times and each time this girl is Amazing! We love the cupcakes and will continue supporting this wonderful small business! The previous review was probably made by the extremely rude family that was in front of us- the reviewer was extremely rude to the worker and clearly not a local!

Decided to stop in for a sweet treat because I saw the line down the sidewalk, so I knew it had to be delicious and worth the wait. I stood In line and took my time deciding on my indulgence. After getting inside I was met with an amazing ambiance and welcoming flavor. The young lady with dark hair, elf outfit, and name that I believe started with an A, was out of this world amazing. This place and cast was absolutely amazing, with a capital "A"!!

What a cute bakery! This was my first visit. There was a consistent line so I wanted to check out what the hype was about. The staff seemed overwhelmed but doing their best to keep the line moving with smiles on their faces. I loved the feel of the bakery and the workers were so friendly. We are new to the area and will definitely be back!

I haven't been to Nana Teresa's in a few years, full disclosure, but we were downtown this weekend and I decided to stop by because I remembered the cupcakes were always good. It's definitely changed, but unfortunately, not for the better. Cupcakes are very small for $4.00 each. The Biscoff cupcake, which in the shop's early days was bigger and I also seem to recall had filling in the cupcake, is now just a small plain white cupcake with some Biscoff frosting. It was tasty though. We got a couple of other cupcakes to take home, and although good (it is still a cupcake after all), nothing exceptional. The value for dollar is just not there anymore, and I have happily paid $4 and up for a cupcake if it's exceptional. Points for the super friendly and helpful staff and cute shop. It's still worth stopping by if you don't have any similar bakeries around where you live.

Cool looking shop from the outside. Once inside there's so much to choose from. Cakes, tiramisu, macaroons, cookies, coffee, ice cream you name it they have it. I had a cappuccino but I wanted everything in there. If you're looking to satisfy your sugar craving this is definitely a place to come to.

I had been wanting to try this bakery for awhile and it did not disappoint! It’s adorable inside. Very clean and cute. They have tons of bakery items! Cupcakes, cookies, macaroons, ice cream, pies, and so much more! I decided to grab a slice of tiramisu because it’s my absolute favorite. I also bought some cupcakes for my children. The kids absolutely loved them! And the tiramisu was one of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely will be back!

I went here on Saturday for the first time with my roommate for some sweet. We decided to have a slice of chocolate cake and cappuccinos. Both were excellent and delicious. Parking here is limited because it's street parking and we had to park further away from this shop. The bathrooms here are okay and are a bit tiny, being that it's a small bakery. So you might expect to wait a few minutes if it's preoccupied. The atmosphere here is okay and a little small. But, they have a large assortment of sweets to choose from. We're definitely coming back here soon.

Listen to your taste buds and judge yourself afterwards. We love this bakery. What a privilege to have such a quality bakery in this small town. I HAVE stacked their desserts up against the same in New York, Rome, Florence and other European cities. You dont have to travel to find the best. Enjoy!

Cream puffs taste like it’s filled will Walmart cake icing. A bit disappointing tbh.

First of all, thank you for being open on Monday! It's unbelievably difficult to find a place to get great coffee and pastries on a Monday, when you need them most 😂 Anyway, this place is wonderful! The delightful human that greeted us was helpful and adeptly explained the menu. She described one of the pastries as a "religious experience" and I told her we could definitely be friends. She was also not wrong. I was deeply moved by the caramelized dough and felt closer to my Creator. 😅🥐 Overall, an excellent experience! We will absolutely return.

In my opinion the pies have been frozen. I had a lemon merainge pie and it had the freezer burn taste. Just my opinion. The crust was not flacky and fresh.

I can only speak for the cupcakes, but I did not enjoy them at all. Both the cake texture & the cream taste were just off. Another star added because there was quite a selection, so maybe those other things were better

Friendly service and excellent pastries. We tried the key lime cream puff and key lime tarts. Both were exceptional, however, I would recommend you come during the week for the freshest baked goods (when the baker is working). The key lime cream puff was slightly stale when we bought it on the weekend, but it was still delicious and not bad enough to stop us from coming by again.

Very low stock when we went. Only cupcakes and macarons available. Macarons were good though.

The first day it was cupcakes; the second day it was cheesecake; the third day a latte and cinnamon bun. This bakery is one of the best ever! And the staff was very welcoming. I am going to visit once more before heading home. Thanks very much for your scrumptious goodies!!!👍😀

I tried the mango boba tea and OH MY! My new favorite drink! I got a piece of cherry cheesecake, a banana pudding cupcake and a lemon cupcake and they were the best tasting desserts I think I’ve ever had! 11/10 recommended!!!!!! Good job you guys!!!

Best, fresh whoopie pie (a smore variation) on the planet! Something different and delicious every day. We stopped in 2 times today (morning and evening)! This is a taste bud delight!!

They saved my soul with their gluten free brownie, oh my goodness! Somehow both light and fudgy with the perfect amount of chocolate chips. It was the perfect size and had amazing consistency for a gluten free baked good!

Was not impressed. Ordered a coconut cream tart and a mango- key lime tart. The tart cream/ whipped cream ratio was off and it was mostly whipped cream, and the whipped cream was either old or poor quality (left a film in my mouth). Overpriced for the level of quality. Leaning towards 2.5 stars.

Such a busy place! Enjoyed stopping in for some treats while playing in Fernandina a few weeks back. We came across this place and decided to go in. So glad we did. From ginormous and tasty cookies to fruit tarts to French macarons, meringue treats and cupcakes I understand why it’s a local favorite! Oh and the young lady behind the counter was so patient and explained everything. We will absolutely be back!

Amazing!!!! We found this place on Saturday and came back Sunday to get so many goodies to take home! This will be a stop we make every time we come to the area!

Really sad to have to leave a bad rating. I wanted to like this place but everything we bought was stale. I ended up throwing it away after we tasted the baklava, stuffed cinnamon roll, strudel, & banofee tart. Our first visit was the Monday after the shrimp festival. We were hoping to find pastries like kouign amann and cream horns. We were told that they would have them the next day. We came back and the Pastry lady was home with her sick child. No pastries! The third time we went we were told the pastries would only be available on the weekend. We were leaving Friday morning. We really wanted to spend more money here. Wish the items we bought had been fresh.

I’ve only been here twice, each time after dinner. They have a good mix of items and all are incredible delicious. I’m only rating 4 stars because some of the employees (mostly high school kids) need to work on their attitudes. The one with the pixie haircut was extremely rude. I asked flavors on cheesecake then my husband wanted a cupcake. I was still undecided so I went for the cheesecake and decided after I wanted a cupcake too. She made it seem like a hard request to get another cupcake by asking if I wanted anymore cupcakes or if I’m ready to checkout. After giving the total, she walked away. She definitely doesn’t deserve the tip my husband gave her. I also think to prevent asking too many questions, they should have each item already marked so everyone knows what they are.

I hesitate to write a review for this "hidden gem" for fear that it will be too crowded next time I go. This is one of my favorite places on Amelia Island. The cupcakes are fantastic and the espresso is very good. Support this local business!

Yummy Homemade Cannoli's ! Going back in the am to try the homemade croissants before they run out of them. Very knowledgeable staff and thoughtful. They answered all of our questions & didn't mind helping us at all.

Papa Mark went out of his way to make our visit to Fernandina Beach special with baking Nana's favorite Almond Filled Croissant. This was one of the most luscious, delicious, and tasty pastries we have ever eaten. Many items to choose from to make your tummy happy. Highly recommended.

Just called this morning to inquire about a cake I have t purchased anything yet but I wanted to take a minute to say this places customer service was OUTSTANDING! Not to often you see or deal with great people especially when you have questions. I spoke with a gentlemen this morning who was absolutely eager to answer any questions I had and gave me so much information within a simple 5 minute message phone call. WE NEED MORE PLACES LIKE THIS HANDS DOWN! Great job guys it’s much appreciated!

We got the GF chocolate ganache cake that was out of this world and a cookie that was to die for, can’t wait to try the macaroons we took home for later!! Can’t wait to come back!!

I ordered 6 coconut cupcakes from Nana Theresa’s. I’m sorry to say I was highly dissatisfied. I asked that they put on buttercream frosting which they did not. I actually emailed them to remind them. They were very small. Not much flavor. And…. To top it off they cost $24!!!! To say the least…. I do not recommend them. I’m sorry. Deb~

Nana Teresa's never disappoints!

This was a really great find. The service is super friendly, the baked goods we got were all delicious, and the coffee was great. Prices were reasonable and the spot was cozy. They only have a couple of tables, so if you have a large party you might not all fit. Highly reccomend stopping here if you like coffee or baked goods

I’ve been ordering cakes from Nana Teresa for a while now. I was referred to her by a friend originally. My friend gifted us this for our wedding so Nana Teresa did our wedding dessert table/wedding cake and WOW! I think the pictures speak for themselves but I can assure you all these delicious treats tasted even better than they looked! I loved how she took my ideas and my Pinterest board and made it a reality! If you ever need any sort of baked goods, I highly recommend Nana Teresa! You will not be disappointed! This is a cute bake shop. The pastry were fresh, and the drinks tasted good. First time having an Affogatto, it was delicious. The team at the store are super friendly!

Service is super friendly. Been in twice and it's been pleasant both time. They have ice cream, cakes, cookies, macarons, and many other delicious treats. They are delicous and well priced. Highly recommend you at least swing by and check it out yourself. Best to get to go because there isn't a ton of room inside to sit down. There's only a few small tables but it can feel packed very fast. Pictured is a lemon meringue tart and a raspberry whoopie pie.

Cute sweets place. Had a Mocha Cappuccino and it was not good. Key Lime Pie looked and smelled fantastic (a friend had and it looked so good). Service was fairly fast.
