Cauliflower crust for a GF option.

I unfortunately didn't take photos because we scarfed the food down like animals but it was so good! I've never seen a French dip with so much meat. It all tasted delicious. The rolls tasted like amoroso rolls which made me nostalgic of up north. That rosemary bread with feta and oil to dip was divine. We will definitely be back to try more things.

So glad we found this place! It’s delicious! We got pizzas and subs and everything was so good! Would definitely be back if in the area again!

I'm actually from New York. Heard the owners are from Minnesota or something? Nothing Newyorkish whatsoever bout the atmosphere, so sorry, don't get it. I was wanting to love the pizza, but disappointed there too- undercooked and had to send it back and the guy at the table next to me said that's how they make it unless you say something. Oh, had the meatball parm sandwich, a staple in NY. I'd give it 1.5 stars. Such an easy sandwich and btw, we don't cut the meatballs in NY for this sandwhich! In NY, they lay the meatballs on the sub roll, lots of mozz on top, into the pizza oven 10 minutes, Boom! That's it!

Go across the street... Sat for 20 mins outside waiting on a waitress, and yes I walked in and informed them I was sitting outside. The chicken was not breaded and it was obvious it was processed chicken. Not even a real chicken breast. Noodles barely had sauce on it. Was not happy with the food. The waitress we did get, after telling another waitress we were here, was amazing. She still got a 20$ tip. Pizza looked good, haven't tried it, but after my experience, I'm not going to. Go across the street if you want some good food!

The food was amazing! We will definitely be back! We had 2 medium pizzas, both split half and half, so we could try different kinds. The pasta, sandwiches and soup looked great. We will try that next!

Let me start off by saying our server was good. She did the best she could with what she had to work with. I ordered a large pizza, and my wife ordered the spaghetti dinner with meat balls. My wife's meat balls were ice cold and when the brought out my pizza it was the completely wrong pizza, my waitress explained to me that they made the wrong pizza and that they were going to put a rush on a new one for me. She offered me to keep this pizza at no charge, but it was made with ingredients I don't like, so I kindly said no. Meanwhile, I wait and watch my wife eat her dinner , get a To Go box, and decide what desert she wants to bring home all the while still no pizza. I eventually ask my server to put the pizza when it's done in a to go box, and I will eat it at the house. We paid for our meals, and the waitress did give me 2 pieces of cheesecake to make up for me not having a meal with my wife. Our bill was over 65.00. When I got home, I opened the pizza box, and the pizza did not look appetizing at all . It looked like once I said, "Put it in a box," they pulled it out of the oven before it was cooked throughly to get us out of there. The cheese wasn't melted all the way, and it was covered in oil, and the crust was still doughy. The manager never came by to apologize for the inconvenience or anything he was just walking around. He did pat my shoulder as he walked by and said they would get a pizza for me. This was our first time eating there, and I have to say I will not be going back. Also, if you get car sick, you might want to think about going somewhere else every time someone walks the floor shakes.

While it was a very hot and humid day when I went, I did sit outside where they have umbrellas over the tables and misters. Such a cute restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!

Spaghetti had a weird taste, very weird. Philly Cheese Steak was awful. No refills, had to chase them down.

Everything we order was horribly undercooked. And to call that a newyork style pizza is a sin. I was so excited to go and was seriously underwhelmed when the food arrived. Their garlic rolls are cheap French bread soaked in butter. Not even any garlic on them. Will not be going back to say the least.

Food was amazing!! Pizza is the BEST in Pensacola!! The sauce is made in house and outstanding!! The only thing I found wrong with the spaghetti was it doesn't come with enough meatballs 😂 but they happily brought me more. Phenomenal Phenomenal Phenomenal 😍

Took our sailor here after a beach run this past weekend. The food was good, to a point; however, the portion sizes are not even in line with the prices. I ordered the lasagna and received a piece smaller than the size of a single stouffers lasagna at $16.49. The soup had very little turkey in it. We did appreciate the military discount; however, they recouped part of it with a credit card fee. This was topped off by a $21.29 charge for a 16" pizza with overcooked meat and not enough cheese. Not worth the price.

I love this deli, but yesterday for the first time, I was not satisfied with my favorite menu item... gazpacho.. Gazpacho has been my favorite since I enjoyed my first bowl while serving in the Air Force in Madrid, Spain...The New Yorker has been the only place I have found gazpacho comparable to what I enjoyed many times in Madrid. Yesterday, the gazpacho was different.. I was not sure why initially, but it wasn't good as all previouse visits.. I always take two pints home with me and I did yesterday. At lunch today, I realized what was wrong.. The gazpacho was heavily salted to the point it took away from the wonderful flavor I had previously enjoyed.. I believe this should be a very easy correction by the Chef . We all know it is easy to add seasonings, but very difficult to dilute the seasonings without destroying the quality and taste.. respectfully submitted JByron Culbertson

Great pizza, if you don't like a soggy pizza ask them to cook extra crispy. Comes out how a pizza should and not a floppy mess. I am short, their check out counter is really high so it makes it harder to review and sign credit card slip. Great parking for to go orders.

Authentic NY subs, sandwiches and cheesecake

That's not pizza. It's cheese bread. Served hot. But little marinara, soupy, no crunch. The chili was more like red ground beef water. Friendly service. Not a pizza spot at all.

Simply put: Beautiful food, beautiful people, beautiful atmosphere! My wife, child, and I went here after a long days work as we were craving some pasta. Immediately after sitting we were asked for drinks and were waited on shortly after. All of the staff were in love with our baby and were very friendly & accommodating! We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and marinara. If you are craving garlic bread they have the best! Doused in mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, and Italian seasonings with a fresh chunky marinara. I got the Chicken Parmesan with a Caesar side and the only complaint I could possibly come up with was the Caesar Dressing was not premixed on the salad (no big deal at all I’m lazy lol). The chicken was so tender and well cooked I didn’t need to use my knife once to cut it. The spaghetti it sat on was perfectly cooked. The sauce was to die for. The cheese made it all better. Thank you guys for making this fat Italian and his family VERY happy. We will definitely be back over and over again.

I absolutely love New Yorker Deli and Pizzeria! The sandwiches and pizzas they serve are absolutely delicious. Every time I visit, I am blown away by the quality and taste of their food. The grilled chicken sandwich with bacon is my personal favorite! The pizzas are incredible as well. The crust is delicious, with just the right amount of toppings. The prices are also very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality of food you receive. Overall, I cannot recommend New Yorker Deli and Pizzeria enough. I had the Neapolitan cheesecake and it was out of this world. Also a Reuben which was not quite the best in town but real close.

The food is spectacular. This is a local restaurant that's worth including in your vacation plans.

Not a fan of seeing on the menu Best Cornbeef Sandwich & turns out to be Deli Sliced Meat & outside seating is terrible when the breeze blows the smell of the dumpster being near by Also having to sit outside because you have a service dog (for seizures) Owner needs to educate the Helth Department of Federal ADA Laws Regarding Services Animals (look up yourselves regarding photo below)

Got a Vegaterian Pizza, it was so Awesome

This was my first time there. What was I waiting for? We ordered one of the pasta bowls and the Athenian Pizza. Everything was delicious. The pizza was perfect. My dining partner ordered carrot cake and said it was delicious as well. I’ve been there a few times since and tried their Cuban sandwich . It was good. Shared the rosemary bread and oil app and that was extra yum! I’ve sat inside and outside. The tables are somewhat close together inside. I preferred the tables against the wall. Update : Their key lime pie is very good.

The food was excellent! I would even say that the calzone was the best that I have ever eaten! The crust was perfect, and there were just the right amounts of ingredients stuffed inside - delicious! My husband had the rueben and said it was pretty good, but he was jealous of my calzone, lol. The service, however, was not great. We were seated quickly; they were not very busy. We had to wait a long time to even have our drink order taken. Then we waited a long time for the food. Each time that we needed something, we had to flag someone down. If the service had been better, this place would be 5 stars.

The food was great as usual. The staff is always friendly.

My boyfriend really hyped this place up. The menu online looked amazing, and I was excited to try out the food in the restaurant. However, when we got there, we were told to move tables by a server. We found a little nook-like area inside where a party of 6 or 7 were. We waited for the server that saw us go into the nook (or any server) to come in and take our order, but they never came to help us, or the large party that had to send a member of their group to get sugar from a waiter in the other room. It was very disappointing to be forgotten about when we were acknowledged when sitting in the main room but told to leave.

Super upset with my experience here went for lunch and when walking in was asked to move to a smaller table because we were a party of two even though there were plenty of four tops available and we did move to a smaller table but after we moved we did not get any service after sitting at the table for 6 minutes not even a menu absolutely upset at the service here and even if you are busy it is no excuse to be rude and ignore a customer like this.

Our order was late, undercooked and not good at all. We arrived at the time we were told. We still had to wait a bit for our food.

I've been hear several times for takeout always called in advance. Their pizza best in town. Cheesecake sub excellent and others their prices a a little high but it's worth the splurge

This place is somewhat diamond in the rough. However that rough is well know now and some changes are being noticed. Food is still amazing so that's good. Service is great depending on nights and staffing. Defiantly new people coming and going. So you will feel and know who is on there game and who is not. Just remeber this restaurant is the size of a medium size swimming pool. So be patient. Cash brings a cheaper bill using you card does not. Like I said times are a changing. But hey I'm old school. Just prefer the past. Enjoy!

I LOVE the New Yorker Deli!! I had the steak and mushrooms stroganoff special and it was so outrageous, I ate half with a glass of cab, passed out, woke up and ate the rest. That's powerful. I could eat something different every day of the month there, and I would be stoked. Love their strive for quality. Pizza is phenomenal too!!

Girlfriend took me here for lunch. Do not sleep on this little gem! Comfy, low-key, clean atmosphere. First off, I had a heck of a time deciding what to order. They have a large variety, and all of it sounded amazing. The chicken salad with their vinaigrette was refreshing and tasty, and the 3 cold chicken salads we shared were very hard to stop eating. Service was very kind and genuine. They have an area in the front you can easily grab something to go if you're on the go. Will Definitely be back!

New Yorker Deli has been a staple in Pensacola for decades! The food is fantastic - hot subs, pizza, soups, and all of the salads are tasty - you really can't go wrong. They also really look out for their customers. They recently went above and beyond regarding my delivery order. While they might be a "New Yorker Deli", they also serve up Southern hospitality.

NYD is always our go-to choice ... great food ... terrific and friendly staff ... good prices ... comfortable atmosphere ... AND you'll almost always see someone you know there as well!! ... life has kept me away for a while now, but got to go enjoy another "kicker" from NYD today ... STILL as good as ever ... maybe even better for the absence ha ha! Thanks y'all! ... Asked for follow-up, so yeah, dropped in for dinner this evening... had a "Kicker" (grilled Swiss on rye with avocado and yellow mustard) AND tonight I got a side of potato salad... all GREAT as usual... thanks!

Ordered a Ruben and the corned beef was shiney and chewy and had to have come from a packaged processed container. No way was that the meat that's sliced to order. Ordered a cheese and sausage pizza and I've had better pizza from a gas station. Just horrible.

Great customer service! I ordered my pizza over the phone with no olives. The pizza was made with no onions instead, but they went above and beyond to make it right! I truly appreciate how genuine and professional they were about the situation. Plus the food is absolutely delicious! Must try!

It was good!! Highly recommend we have the spinach dip with pita pieces. OMG it was amazing!! We on the light side for lunch and got appetizer meatballs they were really good. Perfect light lunch. Last time we got pizza and it was really good to. Service was great!

For years NYer Deli has been one of my favorite places to eat. Consistent and a great variety for everyone, perfect place when you can't decide what you want for dinner.

This place is Perfect! Great authentic deli atmosphere. We were there at 11am (opening), and only one other car in the parking lot and thought it was just a little hole in the wall place. By the time we were done with an amazing pizza and experience (Kaila was an Awesome worker and a Pure Joy!) the place was packed, and a wait at the door! Obviously a Very popular place.

Our last lunch in Pensacola and it didn’t disappoint. The service was a tiny bit off but I think it was just because they were busy. Just slow and a mistake on salad dressing and then we couldn’t fix it because she didn’t come back. Overall, the food was fantastic tho. The corn and crab gumbo is amazing. I can’t wait to go back next time we are in town.

2023 Review: The overall quality of this restaurant has drastically plummeted. I'll keep this short as to not waste your time. The Athenian pizza was not good. We added chicken which was very dry and took the moisture out of the pie. The past three times weve gone, they have continually burned a simple cheese pizza, that our kids will not eat. (Pics are of cheese slices from years ago versus today) Today will be the last time we go to this restaurant, no one wants to spend money on being disappointed. If your establishment reads this, put wax paper in the box before the pizza, so that the pie doesnt taste like paper. 2021 Review: This is a true NY pizzeria. When you want a clean, fresh tasting slice of pizza come to this place. Its been years since I've had a slice of pizza that tastes like home. We will be going back if we're ever on that side of town. A wise chef once told me "Pizza is always better before it touches cardboard".

I love to stop here. Have a cup of homemade soup and order a salad, pasta, or a sandwich to go always delicious.
