What a gem we found, on the way back from Anchorage, after a long day at Brooks Falls, Katmai! Warmly greeted, service was excellent and all of the dishes we ordered were perfect! We met “Nonna” and she graciously brought out zucchini blossoms as a chef amuse! Two of us ordered carbonara and a sausage pizza to share, and the other person ordered a margherita pizza - salads were fresh and plentiful, and were accompanied by focaccia (we requested olive oil for dipping) - it was a perfect dining experience!

Simple menu, quality ingredients, and solid, homemade, Italian staples. Can’t ask for much more than that. Will definitely be back to try the pizza.

We had fettucini alfredo and pasta bolagnese. Alfredo is made typical Italian - no cream, homemade noodles were fantastic. Bolagnese was very good, according to my husband. Homemade bread, which I think was focaccia, was extremely dry- needed to be served with butter or seasoned olive oil. Salads were fresh and plentiful - dressings were undetectable. Next time, we will try the pizza - they have a wonderful pizza oven from Italy. We ended with a carrot cake cupcake- outstanding!!

A hidden gem in the Valley. It's a little spot off the highway. The resturant is small but well decorated and clean. Staff is polite and engaging. I went with several friends, and even though it's small they accommodated us quickly. Not overly loud for the size. Food was so good we ate it all before taking pictures. We tried 3 different pizza's and shared the Carbonara. The owner comes out and chats with everyone throughout. Everything was fresh and expertly made. It's a must try. The photos are from another trip where I finally took a second to get a Pic! Lol

After hearing how good this place is for so long, we finally were able to stop in for lunch. It did not disappoint! Sooo good!

I have never had a pizza that tasted that different and amazing! Definitely unique, in the best way! I tasted my girlfriend's Alfredo and it was equally as different from other Alfredos and the flavor, just like the pizza, sets this restaurant far apart from others serving the same dishes. The staff here were all extremely friendly and seem to take your experience in their restaurant very seriously and show a strong desire for you to leave happy. We will definitely be back.

The food is pretty good, but $45 for pasta with a few meatballs ($33 for pasta plus you pay $4 per meatball) is very expensive. You have to pay extra to add meat to any pasta dish. The service wasn’t great (we went 30 minutes waiting for our server to check on us so we could order more wine), but it was okay. I was also hoping they would serve limoncello or limoncello spritzes (since they have an Italian restaurant with a lemon theme), but they don’t. The bread with the pasta is dry and the balsamic was a lot more oil than balsamic vinegar. I would eat here again because the food was good, but rarely, since it was expensive for what you get.

I just order two sandwiches and they were absolutely disgusting. Im surprised and disappointed because i heard so many wonderful things. For 60 dollars i would have just avoided this place if i knew it was going to be this gross I am not sure how to respond to the owner below. So hopefully they see it. I ordered the meatball sandwich and the cure with 2 cannolis. The total was 59.96. I would appreciate a refund and if i didnt have two small babies needing to be taken care of i would have come back to chat with the owner.

I would recommend coming here for food. They are very friendly and have amazing food for people who have allergies.

If SUPERIOR has a TASTE, Nonna’s is the definition! Intimate setting with impeccable service: perfect lunch in the perfect day! This is a memory I want repeated!

Had the meatball sandwich and the chicken parmesan both looked great but just not much taste to either The staff was very helpful and on top everything But just no taste

If you want a delicious taste of Italy this is the place to go in Wasilla. My friend and I each had the frittata which comes with a side salad and focaccia bread. The dressing for the salad was homemade making a taste experience out of this world. He won't be disappointed.

Delicious food! You can tell there is heart and soul in their food. Nonna visited our table and asked how we were doing. She is such a charming lady. I wish I had a Nonna like her! Homemade pasta dishes and fire oven baked pizzas right there. You can watch your pizza being cooked! Highly recommend!!!

This place is a hidden gem. The owner is so friendly and welcoming and the food is incredible. Everything is made from scratch. The menue is limited on options but that's okay because everything was fantastic. This is definitely going to be a regular stop anytime I am in the vally.

Delicious wood fired Neapolitan-style pizzas. The salad was fresh with homemade dressing, focaccia bread and roasted cherry tomatoes. For dessert we had a carrot cake cupcake and a ricotta cookie! Loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent!

The food quality has diminished, my sandwich has been consistently burnt and overhearing employees gossiping bad things about my friend who sent me there to begin with is disgusting. Will never return here and will not recommend to anyone else.tgese people are snakes and liars. Do not spend a penny here. Go elsewhere.

A friend and I had the best lunch at Nonna’s Nonna's Osteria today. It was so good I took my husband back for dinner! This is authentic Italian cuisine at its finest. My salad was made with fresh olive oil. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich was amazing. Our homemade past dinners were scrumptious. The service was warm and welcoming. Marian came out and visited with us a bunch and talked about her organic fresh ingredients, many directly from Italy. And don’t get me started on the desserts! Amazing experience all around!

Nonna's Osteria is a hidden treasure. Absolutely delightful! My new favorite eatery in Wasilla. Although the menu may appear diminutive at first glance, let me assure you that these carefully selected meal options are delicious. We got the Mesa Manche and the pork belly and mushroom with handmade fusilli pasta special. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. And when I stepped into the restaurant, the smell of the pizza dough transported me back to the North End section of Boston. But best of all, the homemade canoli for dessert was 'the cherry on top' of the meal! Best thing I have had to eat since moving here from the East Coast. And the chef/owner and her staff were very gracious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing. This may have been my first visit to Nonna's Osteria but it will not be my last, Thank you for the perfect birthday meal!

Nonnas is always a family favorite! A majority of their ingredients are imported from Italy which keeps the dishes fresh and authentic! Typically we get pastas, pizzas, and salads and have never been disappointed. On top of it all, the owner is such a sweet lady who cares deeply about quality and customer satisfaction, is very active and present at the restaurant, and always takes time to say hello to all those dining. We love Nonnas!

Favorite restaurant, food is always fresh including the bread which they make themselves which I'm quite picky about but look forward to everytime here. I recommend the artful dodger or chicken parmigiana.

Absolutely AMAZING food! Nonna Osteria is a hidden gem in the valley and highly recommended! Not only is the restaurant clean and the atmosphere is wonderful with friendly service and staff, but the bakery is so delicious! Everything we tried was just wonderful. We also loved the fact that all of the food was plated on actual china dishes. You could tell that everything is served with love. We had the minestrone soup and chicken parmesan sandwich with side salads, the perfect meals for a cold winter day. The food tastes like something my grandmother would make and reminds me of home.

This is a great place to get out and enjoy authentic Italian food. The staff is friendly the food is excellent and Nonna will come out and ask personally how your experience was.

The service was above average, she kept forgetting simple requests- like forks. The pizza crust was chewy and flavorless, minus the burnt areas. The red sauce on the pizza was very good and the toppings were fresh. The pizza was about the size of a small in other restaurants, and it was $19, not a great value. The pasta was chewy, bland and was not cooked thoroughly. I was expecting some great handmade pasta; i make better. The sauce was ok, not outstanding. The price of $33 is NOT worth it for the pasta dish that was a small serving size. The pasta did come with a salad which was the best part of the meal. The pasta also came with a single slice of foccaci bread, which was tough and flavorless. The tiramisu was really good, did not like that it was gluten free It definitely comes across in the taste, but all in all it was very good. The canelloni was also really good. The atmosphere was nice, it's just loud. Definitely not an italian atmosphere, but not bad. I don't plan on going back because of the poor value for and ordinary meal.

The wood fired pizza is delectable, the salads are divine, and the desserts will make you think about them more than a week later. Hands down, the best Italian in the valley. 😍

Stopped by for a late lunch hungry for pasta or pizza, but the lunch menu only had sandwiches and salads. We ordered the chicken parm, and the meatball sandwiches. The food was good, but portions seemed small for the price. I wish we could have had pizza as they have a big pizza oven and a sign said pizzas started at noon on Saturday, but it wasn't on the menu, and wasn't offered as a choice by the waitress. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice, but the lack of options and the price means it may be a little bit before I go back. It's a fairly new restaurant, so hopefully it will get better with time.

Our first visit to Nona's was quite enjoyable. The REAL wood-fired oven pizza was truly delicious, with simple, high-quality ingredients baked to perfection at 700°F. The staff,including the pizza baker, were just great all-around, adding to a very nice evening. The only negative was that my wife's chicken salad was a bit bland and otherwise mediocre. And they do serve beer and wine - a fact that I couldn't surmise from their online menu. But the brightest star of the evening was the carrot cake. So delicious and decadent. Don't leave Nona's without it! I highly recommend Nona's.

Adorable spot that was recommended by our airbnb host. Friendly service and quaint ambiance. The food was all hand made and delicious. Huge gorgeous wood fired pizza oven being fully utilized by a skilled cook. Handmade pasta was straight outta Italy. Bellissimo!

Lovely stop for lunch, sandwiches were delicious. The chicken parm was very tasty, and the mortadella on focaccia was amazing. Hope to come back for dinner soon and try the expanded menu

What a wonderful vibrant restaurant just over a year in business. I dined here by myself as I was in town visiting and craving pasta & meatballs. Marian the friendly owner assisted me with being seated and my order being placed. I enjoyed a lovely fresh salad topped with olive oil and lemon juice, fresh baked focaccia bread and a hearty bowl of fresh made pasta, tomato sauce and delicious meatballs. Marian tells me her recipes are authentic from Italy. Make sure you order a “Mary’s Cookie” for dessert or to go. These famous cookies were highly sought after for 50 years until Marian started baking them again for you to enjoy at her restaurant Nonna’s Osteria. True authentic Italian food. The ambiance, the hospitality. Nonna talks to all. Food was amazing homemade from scratch Bolognese Ragú. Cannoli’s are everything.

I have been wanting to try the food at this restaurant for a while now and decided to give the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich a try. It was underwhelming. The portion size was disappointing for 20 bucks. The sauce was over cooked. The chicken was tender and tasty. The bread was fresh, a little hard, and topped off with a fair amount of mozzarella cheese. There was nothing memorable about the sandwich. It was a mess and took effort to keep it from falling apart while eating it. I get it the restaurant business is hard. Maybe a homemade focaccia Italian sandwich would be better choice. From the description I was given over the telephone about their pizzas , now that may be the better choice. A 10” pizza for 19-25 bucks seams a bit pricey, but everything is so pricey these days. It hard to find what you really like from a new restaurant without trying everything on the menu.

Don’t miss out on Nonna’s!! Pizza, salads & pasta are all incredibly delicious & well-made. Beautiful lasagna & eggplant parmesan are available as grab and go items to heat and eat later. Cookies, cannolis and other sweet treats are fresh and so very good. Nonna herself is such a gem as well. This is a diamond in the valley food scene - don’t hesitate, just go!

This restaurant was so cute, clean and fun. The waiter was super friendly and made great recommendations. The food itself was delicious- although pricey for the serving size. It's justifiable though because everything tasted hand made and fresh! The pastries and desserts are incredible too! ❤️

No options for pasta, no options for pescatarian or vegetarian at lunch. ( sold out of the only option) Will check back for dinner sometime. I've heard it's great.

Beautifully quaint. Amazing authentic Italian food with excellent staff. They’re so kind. Reasonably priced. Food was delicious. We had the Schiachatto pizza and I had the Alfredo-Parmigiano Reggiano. Great portions. Best Alfredo I’ve had since being in Italy.

Wonderful place! We both had side salads and margherita pizzas. The salads were great and the pizza was phenomenal. Definitely authentic Neapolitan style pizza (tasted just like what we had in Italy)! The best pizza we’ve had so far in Alaska!! A small place but we were seated quickly and service was great!

Food was good but service was not. Don't come here unless you aren't in a rush. They were busy but not slammed. It took over 5 minutes to be seated. Almost 30 minutes to place our order. Food came quickly and was delicious. But it took another 20 plus minutes to flag down a waiter, get the check, and pay for the meal. They never once checked on us, filled our water, or acknowledged us without being flagged down.

I had the puccia meatball pocket. The crust was delicious and cooked in a wood fired oven, so cool!

Great place. We had a larger party which I think surprised them but the staff did great. The fresh pasta was super yummy and the bolognese was very meaty. The individuals in our party that ordered the Pucci said they could eat them every day. It was cool to see the pizzas being made right in the dining room. The cannolis for sure are rich and a cup of espresso is for sure needed to go along with it.

Fresh, delicious and authentic. Nonna was a delight, service was great and I loved the decor and atmosphere. I can’t believe I didn’t know this little gem has been here for the last year! We got the margarita pizza and the balsamic chicken salad and we tried three of the desserts and everything was absolutely phenomenal. It just tastes, so flavorful and fresh. I can’t wait to go back and try something else.

So much atmosphere. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! We had side salads to start with an incredible pesto vinaigrette that I would highly recommend (and will be trying and I’m sure failing to replicate at home!) Both of our entrees, Puccio (think meatball calzone with homemade herby meatballs and fresh made marinara) and Pasta Bolognese (fresh made noodles with a hearty meat sauce) were fantastic. The house red wine was also tasty. We can’t wait to try their pizza and bakery goods! Best new gem of a restaurant in town!

Very good food, price and service.

Delicious dinner tonight at Nonna’s! The pizza was absolutely divine. My favorite style of pizza with the slightly thicker crust, baked in a wood fire oven with that smoky flavor & chewy texture. I got a side salad as well with the ceasar dressing which was more of an Italian vinaigrette that was super flavorful. The atmosphere here is so peaceful and beautiful with plants everywhere, gorgeous Italian art and great decor & lighting. Our server was super friendly, funny and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I finally got a chance to come here and it was so worth the wait. This is an awesome spot for lunch or dinner. The pizza oven is wood-fired only, but they don’t start doing pizza until noon; plan for that. The food is Alaska local as much as possible, and brought from Italy when it isn’t. The quality shows. And the servers are so helpful, like I haven’t had that attention of service in a long time.
