Perfection! We had huevos rancheros and a simple egg sandwich. It's a busy spot. We saw so many delicious things going to tables so we'll likely go again this week.

We ate breakfast here twice; we liked it so much the first time we went back the next morning. Very good food with plentiful portions and a wide selection. The staff is super friendly and provides great service. I suggest you get there early, especially on a weekend. The place is really busy, which is a testimony to how good the food is!

Two of us sat at the bar and had probably one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Can't remember our servers name but she was great as well. Will 100% be back next time we're in town. 10/10 across the board - would recommend!!

We stumbled here on our way to Turtle Beach. We ordered the cinnamon french toast for our daughter. For the adults, we had the eggs Benedict and a GF tortillas with scrambled eggs. They were all delicious. The menu was overwhelming but our server was patient and helped us make our selection. 5 stars!

Their pancakes are tall, light, and fluffy! House fries, you can't go wrong with!

Huge portions for breakfast, smaller building but worth the wait if there is one. I got the French toast and was blown away with the size, my partner got the pancakes with the same reaction!

Cute little cafe. Great service and the food was delicious. Got sat and taken care of immediately and efficiently. I created an omelette and had to try a pancake of course. Overall a great experience and definitely will be back!

Love to eat outdoors and would do so again, but Gulf Gate parking lot isn't a very pleasant atmosphere. Food and service were good.

Delightful local coffee shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the ingredients. I had chicken salad on a bed of fresh greens and all the extras, walnuts, avocado, cranberries, red onion and a zesty citrus dressing they call their own. Delicious!

Had only been to the Venice location before, this location is just as great! Went for their special called the Paris benedict, delicious!! Service was wonderful too.

Salmon Benedict, Cinnamon Roll French Toast, Side of Bacon and the most scrumptious home fries loaded with garlic and onions. 💣 🔥 My reviews are generally pretty detailed. All I could think about this one while eating was “Tasty AF.” Leaving it at that. Plus, fast friendly service. A+++

THE BEST!!! I'm there so often, I might as well have a cot in the back to sleep. Their home fries and sausage gravy are next level! The Caesar dressing is homemade and crave able! Their broccoli cheddar soup has me calling in weekly to inquire about the soup of the day. The employees are sweet, welcoming, and always on them move. This place is hopping ya gotta try it!!!!

I’ve been struggling to find a place to get a good cappuccino in Sarasota so I’ve been exploring unlikely options. Despite the odd serving cup, this was actually made better than most of the stand alone cafes in town. After I’d finished the drink, a server offered to refill with regular coffee. That was so sweet! 4 stars because their brewed coffee tastes like they honestly forgot half the amount of grounds. It was weak and watery. This is was my first visit so I can’t say if this is a regular issue or a one off. I ordered the eggs florentine (veggie take on a benedict). Far better food and service than I expected since the restaurant has an old fashioned diner vibe to it. But the service was prompt, and my food was well seasoned, cooked just right, and absolutely delicious. I will admit I came in with the assumption that this wouldn’t be as good as their rival across the street that gets a lot of buzz, but Word of Mouth is definitely keeping up with the competition!!

Serves lunch along with breakfast staples. Ordered their burgers which came with onion kaiser roll. Easily 1 lb burger with all the trimmings. Opted for the cucumber and onion salad as side which almost tasted like bread butter pickle. Bar seating was the best place to be. Fast service plus get to meet other folks.

We had a Happy butcher omelette and stuffed French toast. Both were amazing but The Omelette was so good.

This is a Sarasota icon that is really worth stopping by to visit if you love biscuits and gravy you're going to love this place because they have many modern takes on Old Fashioned breakfast I highly recommend. Bring the family here when they come for a visit!

Everything was great. We went today (Sunday morning). Even though the place was busy, we were greeted with a smile and had our choice of table or booth. Service was fast, and they kept the ridiculously good coffee coming! I don't think our coffee ever got luke warm! There are so many tempting breakfasts to try and all ranges of what you want on your plate. My husband had the French Toast with berries and bananas, and I had the Hungry Butcher omelet. They even offer scones! But I had sourdough toast, and I dipped that into the southern gravy that topped my omelet. I can tell you it's our new favorite place and we'll be back...maybe even next Sunday!

It was okay. The burrito wrap had a funny taste and was hard to cut.

Loved this little place. Great food, really great staff and we loved the vibe. Had corned beef hash, a bagel and scrambled eggs.

Was traveling through the area, and found this little gem. Shawn was our server, and did a fantastic job. Reccomending the Manhattan Scramble, and the Farmers Frittata. My buddy and I couldn't have loved the food more. Next time I'm in the area, I will definitely be back.

We came here on 5/01/23 and....Wow what a gem! First time going here with my wife and a couple friends. The food is to die for and we will absolutely be back. I got the Cookies Favorite sandwich and wow, it takes a lot to thrill me with a sandwich and this definitely blew my expectations for a sandwich. I also got the chocolate scone and it was heavenly. My wife got a delicious breakfast sandwich and we shared some of the best corned beef hash we've had in a very long time. The breakfast potatoes are cooked in roasted garlic or something but I was literally drooling eating these. Our friends enjoyed their breakfasts and our server was amazing and attentive! I wish I could remember her name. The decor and atmosphere is nice and farm-modern? Not sure but it's cute! There's even a bar for those who don't want or need a booth or table. Definitely a must go to for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We will be back with more friends and try some of their specials of the day. My only complaint is they aren't open for dinner!

Simply the best breakfast place around. I love the food, the staff, the counter, the regulars, the tables when with friends, the chefs, everyone and everything. I have difficulty eating breakfast out and this place fits the bill. The specials are amazing. The fruit, veggies and the breakfasts are fresh and wonderful. I almost always get the cheese blintzes that come with a beautiful fruit salad. I've also had their crepes and pancakes. Best coffee around!!

My husband, and I used to frequent Original Word of Mouth; almost visiting at least once a week. We loved the amazing staff, and food was always delicious. We adopted a vegan lifestyle a few years ago so do not have much of a reason to come anymore other than being able to modify the veggie & spuds, having a coffee, and a dry piece of toast. The veggie & spuds is still delicious, and my mom literally craves it so we came for a recent visit so she could calm the craving. I ordered my veggie & spuds and asked the nice waitress for avocado instead of the heaping amount of eggs my mom enjoyed…we know eggs aren’t cheap these days. I enjoyed about half of an avocado with my breakfast, and after arriving home realized the waitress had charged me $2.50 for it. She didn’t mention an up charge when I placed my order or I would have excluded it …it is very frustrating to get charged for not wanting to eat animal derived foods especially when that is the only savory dish we want/can eat on your menu. I appreciate you taking the time to read my review, and hope that consideration will be taken for future modifications that aren’t about not “liking” an ingredient but having a true connection with where our food comes from, and trying to be better for the animals/environment.

Soooo sooo good! And great service! They have everything you could ever want! I had the pastrami omelette and my friend had the eggs Benedict. Omg and the potatoes!!! I always leave the carb bc I get full. Nope. This was worth it even if I only ate half of my omelette! Also, the omelette is huge! Totally spiltable. Like they should have plaques in the wall of who has finished it lol

Nice local breakfast lunch spot with hints of nostalgia. Wife found this place while shopping with her girlfriends. She took me back and had to have the Reuben. I’m not a Reuben fan and had the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich + soup which was a root vegetable chowder. Good all around and the cucumber salad was excellent.

Excellent small restaurant-fresh baked bread flavored coffee and great menu choices for breakfast. We loved their specialty fried potatoes. open on Mondays

The man at the host stand was sort of unfriendly and uncommunicative. He takes your name and leaves you standing there without telling you the wait time. Then seems surprised that you’re still there. The food was good, fairly priced. It’s definitely worth driving to the one to Venice instead: newer facility, pleasant people that know how to make good food as well as greet people properly

We drive from Wimauma to eat here, that’s how much we love this place! Every breakfast we’ve had has been delicious, the wine Bloody Mary’s are great (and I don’t say that lightly), and the service is exceptional! It’s clearly a popular neighborhood spot with a family-feel.

The scones were amazing they weren't dry like a typical scone would be. The cinnamon rolls were not very sweet but they were in fact delicious if you prefer to be more sweet you should ask for more of the glaze. The parfait was amazing the gronala does have craisins which to me made it even more amazing and if your a coffee lover I recommend the pumpkin spice coffee it was very savory.

I was looking for a good Egg Benedict and this place serves of one of the best hollandaises I ever have tasted ( Google reviews helped a lot). Their house fries is amazing and my wife simply loved the smoothie of day (Mango, banana, almond+). Check out this place if you are a Benedict lover!!

Been coming to Siesta Key for 40 years. This is absolutely the best breakfast resturant in town. Large menu, wonderful servers, wait time minimal.

Exactly what my hangover needed! The sweetest server you could imagine, and fresh fruits and vegetables, the likes of which my body hadn't seen in days. First let's talk about the service. I'm sorry but when I'm hungover I don't want to see people, let alone get out of bed. This woman was so kind, and she spoke with a soft gentle tone that wooed me from my dark place to happy more joyful state, and made it impossible to stay grumpy. Ma'am, I don't know who you are, but if you're out there reading this, thank you! Now the food. They had the most wonderful sandwich to cure all things resulting from alcohol [over]indulgence: a BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) and of course I added a fried egg. Yum yum yum! If that wasn't enough, I kid you not, they served THE BEST carrot salad I've ever had. Carrot salad, of all things! I was shook. When it was all said and done, my body wasn't angry at me any more and I came away with a new-found love of carrot salad. Thanks, WOM!

My girls had three different omelettes -- Southwest, eggs benedict and body builder were all delish! Muffins, scones were great. More than ample portions. A little pricey for breakfast but well worth it!

This restaurant is amazing! Me and my date were looking at reviews and decided upon this breakfast spot here. It was beyond our expectations and what we saw out there on reviews. This place is quite different than most others as the food is served quick and hot as breakfast should be!
