What a hidden little gem, my company was in the local area for an event and my team stopped here to take a break and we were thoroughly surprised! The decor is super neat, the staff were ultra friendly and knowledgeable and the selection was great! I had the Iced Chai with their home made vanilla flavor and it was DELICIOUS! I also picked up some really cool stickers and magnets from the attached gift shop. If you happen to be in the area of Owl & Otter, absolutely stop in. You won’t regret it!

Great coffee and atmosphere service is always friendly

Although the drink was very good, they definitely could use more help. There was one person working so we waited for quite awhile.

We really enjoyed the food, ambience, relaxation, and music while sitting outside. Very good food and nice location.

The establishment exudes a pleasant ambiance. However, there is potential for improvement in certain areas. Firstly, the establishment lacks Splenda as a sweetener option, providing only stevia. Secondly, while the coffee is of high quality, the pricing is not considered economical. Lastly, the service experienced today was notably tardy.

Great place! Lots of easy parking and high level coffee. Cold brew big thumbs up. Also variety of food. Great atmosphere too.

I was very excited to see a new coffee shop open on the square, I visited on Tuesday mid-morning and there was only one person working and a large line. Very hard for one person to take orders and make drinks. I ordered and ice oat milk latte with one pump of vanilla, I watched the barista add 6 pumps. The drink was ok, wouldn't come back just for the coffee. But I also got a cream cheese and guava danish that was very good.

Stopped in here for an espresso. So far, during our one month stay in the area, this was the best espresso I've had. Service was excellent & the price reasonable for the quality. They even had honey for a sweetener, which seems to be rare in this part of the world.

One of the rare coffees that you're super disappointed when your cups empty. Definitely the best coffee in the Lake Placid area!

Prices are extremely unaffordable!! I cannot believe the audacity of this place and their prices for a cup of coffee! Unfortunately all we have is Dunkin Donuts so was excited when this place opened. The first time I ordered coffee (triple shot of espresso) over ice I thought wow almost $7 bucks for this what am I in New York, like this is a really small town and these prices are astronomical, I do not see how this shop will make it. I went online and saw a drink that I’d like for cheaper just to go in and the guy is ringing every thing up and the drink would’ve come out to almost $9 like seriously almost $10 for some coffee in Lake Placid Fl? I looked down and they took white out to all of the prices, so I asked if they went up in price and he said yes and I’m like the prices were already astronomical, how on earth can you justify anymore of an increase? I walked out. This bad, unethical business. I have a feeling they are taking advantage of people because their was a a little country fair taking place and there were a bunch of people out that would possibly pay that amount of money for one day but probably never again. So what is this coffee shop on a regular business day going to charge these small town folks these insane prices? I’m never going back, I don’t see how anyone else would. We’ll see how this shop makes it in the long run because I don’t know how anyone can afford these prices.

stopped by yesterday for coffee and cake. We ordered Americano coffee black. In hindsight I should have questioned when she asked what size but I didn't. I said large expecting it would be a double shot of expresso but it wasn't. We got a large PAPER cup of black coffee. So my 2 gripes 1) Americano is made with expresso not black drip coffee and 2) Premium coffee should be served in a real coffee mug not paper. If I want a paper cup I'll go to Dunkin' where I can get black coffee for half of what I paid at Owl & Otter.

I stopped here for some morning fuel while road tripping through the area, and I couldn't be happier I did. I'm a simple oat milk cappuccino kind of guy, and they have some of the best espresso I've ever had. Perfection in simple things probably means their seasonal specials are excellent, too. I also had their crustless quiche, which was rich, tasty, and satisfying. They have decent looking pastries, both sweet and savory. It's a super cozy spot with WiFi, outlets, and some outdoor seating. There's good service and good people running the show.

Really great coffee shop with a selection of pastries, quiche, etc. Decor is very comfortable but elegant. Enjoyed this shop twice in two days while we visited Lake Placid.

Drove from Ft Myers, the wife had to have a coffee found this establishment, Very Nice!!!

Had a great iced latte and slice of lemon cake. Happy to see this new cafe in downtown Lake Placid.

This is a lovely place. Coffee is great, the food and pastries are delicious, the atmosphere is nice and the staff is always friendly and pleasant. A wonderful spot all around.

Delicious hot latte, iced chai latte,chocolate croissant and spinach pies, prepared with amazing premium quality ingredients! Both women were so friendly and welcoming, considering they were about to close for the day, will definitely be back for more!

Prices are high for whats offered.

Keeley Irwin greeted us with a friendly hello and a smile we felt so welcome she prepared us a beautiful charcuterie board it was delicious.

New shop in up-and-coming downtown lake Placid. I do not love the setup of the inside as it feels crowded and the open doorways to the adjoining businesses seems out of place. The decor is also not really to my taste. The service was very friendly I'll be at a little slow. The coffee was very nice I opted for and iced Americano with extra shots and the coffee was very smooth and had a nice roast flavor without hitting that bitter note at the end. They did have single origin offerings which I was excited to see and if they ever have something from Rwanda, my particular favorite, I will certainly try it. It is a little pricey for your everyday morning cup but certainly reasonable and quality enough for a weekend treat

Love the hot chocolate with the brownies they make plus the flatbread was so good !!!

Really good but I got a small instead of the medium I ordered, price was a bit steep for the size that given.

Staff is super friendly had the privilege to meet the owners I have been getting cold brew and they have many flavors to choose from I love their orange and cranberry scones I have been going every other day and it is delicious thank you for opening and bringing this gem to lake placid.

Great little place. Personally frappe was bland and brownie needs to improve. But will not give up on this place just opened and I will continue to support.

It's definitely a place to go and have your morning caffeine! Super kids and pet friendly! The pastry is really good as well! Try the charcuterie board perfect with wine or coffee
