Great little brewery with a nice friendly atmosphere! We were offered samples of the beers and when the beer tender asked me what my likes were, he poured a sample of what he thought I would like - yep! So had a pint of that and sat outside chatting with people walking by & other customers. He even said we could walk around the town with our beers! I’d go back!

This place is a gem in the community. We came for 2 weeks to do some volunteer work and we found ourselves here probably 3 or 4 times! The staff are super friendly, the beer is delicious, and the atmosphere is on point!

Had the hooter brown and the MP dirty blonde ale. Both are excellent. The HB is superb and has a sweet bourbon-like taste. The blonde is refreshing and very flavorful. I wish I lived near apalachicola. I’d make this brewery a daily stop.

From all my brewery hopping, these beers have the most favor and best quality ingredients.

Lively place with great drinks. Ordering process was very good and I was given samples of some that I was on the fence about. I would like to know more about what was in some of the brews. Especially since they brew in that room but they will let you taste anything I’m sure. Definitely recommend stopping by if visiting.

the first time my boyfriend and I visited Oyster City Brewery, we drove all the way from Panama City Beach and had such a great experience! we ordered some flights and the bartender was so approachable and welcoming. we ended up purchasing two shirts, a hat, and a bunch of stickers. we visited the brewery again today, from Panama City Beach mind you, and the bartender was so rude. I asked if they still had flights, and her answer was, “Not today. Next!” we did ask for a couple of samples, to which she looked at us like we just killed her cat and ruined her day. I’m writing this review mainly so the wonderful people who work here are aware of the rude employees that are representing their business. thank you to the individuals we met on our first visit and I would like to hope we don’t encounter the individual we met on our second visit. also, love your beers 🍻

Great location good atmosphere and nice beer selection

I agree with the other reviewer, the beer tender needs a major attitude adjustment. Tall dude with the beard needs to be more friendly. Is it really that painful to say hi or thank you to the patrons? He had no problem being chatty with his buddy at the bar or people he knew that came in. Get over yourself man, you pull a beer lever. Life’s not that hard.

My husband, brother and son-in-law LOVED the Mangrove Mango Pale Ale best and Tate’s Helles comes in 2nd! They all brought home a lot! We had a great time hanging out there, highly recommend.

Love love love this place. Probably my favorite brewery in the country, not that I travel to them like that. I've been coming for years, I don't even remember when they first opened. The city itself just has that lazy Sunday afternoon vibe and OCB is the epicenter. Really good beer, friendly staff that's been there since the beginning. Other than popcorn they don't have much in the way of food but walk across the street to the Owl Cafe or around the corner to the Hole in the Wall. All the beers are good, so just pick one drink and repeat. My favorite is mangrove, cause this is the perfect place for a 8% mango IPA. I'm glad to see hound dog is still happy and healthy. So awesome that they adopted her. She was a local stray who was friendly but skittish and would hang around but came and went as the wind blows. Finally one of the workers got close/comfortable enough to get her to a vet and now she's the local Mascot. It's not a huge brewery like the satellite site in Mobile, so seating is somewhat limited. On summer weekends it packs out with visitors and locals taking over the entire corner and half the block. Also if it's the right time of the year, the entire city smells like star(confederate) jasmine. It's straight out of a Hemingway novel.

I really wanted to like this brewery more than I did. I remember their "Hooter Brown" as one of the first good local craft beers to be had when visiting the Florida coast and their Tate's Helles had just won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup earlier in May. Now, I should know to take "medals" won at Beer competitions with the same huge grain of salt I do medals awarded bourbons (and other spirits) but I was hopeful and in anticipation bought a six pack of Tate's Helles at a local liquor store in the area and it royally failed to impress me. Still, a visit to the brewery's tap room was in order and one afternoon during our stay on the coast we stopped by. Underwhelmed is probably an understatement. From the beer tender who obviously has had his fill of "tourists" coming in to sample their beers to the beers themselves, this was an uninspiring experience. The beers aren't bad, but mostly, well, uninspiring. We were impressed with their Tropical Thunder IPA, but the rest we tried (two flights at the brewery along with beers we had eating out) just seemed to be middle of the road examples of their styles. The location is great, though, set in the middle of the "historic" district, but be prepared if you go in the hotter months (we were in early May while the temps and humidity were still quite nice) as seating is outside and no A/C inside and Apalachicola can get incredibly hot and humid in the summer months.

Great location just around the corner from main street Apalachicola. What started as a small local brewery has expanded to multiple grocery stores and cities after winning award after award for its brews. The menu changes fairly regularly. Newcomers should be aware that only certain brews are sold in stores so keep aware of what you should try on site and what you can pick up (canned) on the way home. And if you fond a certain something that you enjoy, splurge and purchase a growler to take with you.

During our road trip, we spent a night in Apalachicola, and the brewery has been a highlight. We loved the beer and the kindness of the staff. The outdoor seating area was really convenient, and it felt relaxing.

You can never go wrong with OCBC! The atmosphere is always great. Dog friendly and get to meet new people from all over! There’s always a great selection of different beers on tap!

Best Helles Lagerbier outside of Bayern. A great selection of outstanding German style beers, dog friendly, great atmosphere and people! Prost!

Visited on a unseasonably warm day in January. Sat outside and enjoyed some great beer. The Mangrove Mango beer was our favorite!

Oyster City Brewing was an amazing stop on the way to St. George. The beer selection was great the locals were extremely friendly. The Mill Pond Dirty Blond was delicious. Sitting on the patio enjoying a cold beer while watching shrimp trawlers come in was a great way to spend an evening.

Great value. Had a wickedly awesome peanut butter porter in between shopping excursions. Extremely dog friendly. Also many interesting and delicious non alcoholic sodas. Notably, they have a heat lamp outdoors when it gets too cold.

Great craft beer. Friendly people. Have a mill pond dirty blonde, Tates Helles or Hooter Brown. Gobble Bock is a great seasonal brew.

You are in Apalachicola. You like/love/open to craft beer. Then Oyster Brewing Company is the place to be. Have a dog? Bring them! Need a place to rest after shopping? Yes, come and get you a beer! Love IPA? Love Lagers? Stout is your middle name? Brown, Amber, sour? It's all here. Come get you some! The best, in my opinion, are the Hooter Brown and the Dirty Blonde which are always on the menu. That being said, I'm adventurous, so I'm always good for a flight. Oh, and get you a Tshirt, silicone pint glass, and a collar for the pup. Can't get there? Want to take some home? Visit the Publix or Total Wine in Florida. They are likely to have some.

This brewery has a large number of options available at a reasonable price. Not hard for anyone to find something that they like. They also sell clothing and other branded items.

Casual and fun. Good selection of beers. Happy Hour from 4pm to 6:30pm. $2 off draughts. I did not notice any free popcorn.

Great place for a beer and people watching

They by a brewery (Catawaba Valley Brewing) in Morganton, NC and shut them down. It was started there and needs to stay there. People love going there and socializing. Now they are moving it to New Orleans. Why? It is a big draw for Morganton. You need to leave it there. I will not buy or drink.any of your beer again.

If your parent company goes through with closing the Catawba Brewing Company in Morganton, NC, the company you recently purchased so you could market their White Zombie beer, then you deserve a one star rating. The brewery and it's tasting room have provides services to the community for many years, supporting local musicians by providing live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night. You have given layoff notices to employees who have worked there for years and are destroying a major source of nightlife in our small town. Shame on you.

Made by the Water (owners of Oyster City) bought Catawba Brewing for its brand, Zombie. They are destroying a small town and the roots of Zombie with their merge with Faubourg by firing all employees at our location and shutting down a tasting room that has been the heart and soul of Morganton, NC since the early 2000s. Please ask them to reconsider and keep our small town in your thoughts!

Oyster City Brewing Co. is an awesome little gem of a brewery. They also distribute all over the country and even brew for other brands. Pretty awesome operation and the Owner/Brewmeister were open with sharing info with us on process and took us on a short tour.

Legit best beer in America. Get you a Hooter Brown and settle in. This magic concoction converted my staunchly anti-beer wife into an avid connoisseur. Nice small brewery in a cool spot.

Great selection of beers to choose from!

A must stop. So many positive things about this place. First, are the people who work there. So friendly and interactive with everyone I saw who stopped by. Second, was the AWESOME beers on tap...so many to choose from. Third, was having conversations with the patrons. Fourth, more great beer. And last, as they were closing and cleaning up, two more couples walked up 10 minutes after they closed but had not locked the doors. Instead of saying we are closed, they invited them in and made sure they had beer and did not rush them. This is how it should be. I commented to the lady what I had observed and told her I had not seen that at any other brewery I have visited. Her comment was, "They drove all this way and will not leave without having one of our beers."

In a town with only one brewery, residents and tourists (like me) are lucky that it's so good. Fair prices for pints and 6-packs; wide range from sours to IPAs to blondes; cool, revitalized downtown spot. Mostly outdoor seating - not huge, but not too full on a recent visit. Pleasant surprise for a craft beer fan!

I ordered a shirt online May 18. The charge immediately went through. I still have not recieved my order, and no one ever answers the phone at this business. I have sent a facebook message, and 3 emails. I just want my order or a refund. I will not be ordering from this business again. They will take your money and send you nothing in return!

Ok, we went because my husband loves the beer here. I don't like beer. Normally. But, get this, they have a blackberry blonde that is sooo good! And a red that I really liked too! Try it if you love beer and even if you think you don't like beer 🍺

We Love OCBC! Bring back the popcorn

This brewery is like a tourist trap. There were no places to sit indoor only outside along the sidewalk. Lots of merchandise and 15 taps. This was not the normal brewery where you could sit with friends and enjoy some beer. Had to wait in line to get the beer and then had to wait for people to leave so you could sit and enjoy. The beer itself was good, average of 3.5 of 5 for the 5 beers I had. Been getting their Hooter Brown Ale around the area restaurants.

Guy over charged and didn't apologize just a bad attitude and buddy asked him for a mixed six pack and he said get yourself.

So impressed by this little place! I live in the Pacific Northwest and tend to be a hard sell on craft brews, but this place had some amazing offerings! After trying several, I selected the Helles which was full bodied without being too hop forward, and my husband had the red option which he really liked as well. Stop by for a good beer!

What an awesome experience for a brewery. Spend time, stay in Apalachicola for a couple of days. Walk the pedestrian areas on Friday and Saturday. And relax at OCB!

I have been coming here since they 1st opened open years ago and they have done a really amazing job growing their brand and producing great beer. Great selection for a wide variety of tastes. Located right on the corner downtown Apalachicola with outdoor seating its a great spot to hang out and take in the city. The blood orange ipa was excellent. A must vist place.

Cute little place. We had to wait for glasses for a flight. Apparently they only have 4 sets. I get that beer tastes better in glass but during a pandemic plastic might be a better option, especially since you can taste the beers and buy beers in to go cups.
