This is my most favorite restaurant to eat in Albuquerque, Great service the workers are very kind I loved the decor and I will be coming back. ( I recommend the Drunken Fried Rice )

My family used to frequent this place for years. I moved out of town and hadn’t been in for a few years. WOW how times have changed. Went for dinner with my family. Services started out okay. Not overly impressive but fine. Ordered fried tofu plate. The server (Rachel was her name) brought me an eggplant plate. Told her I didn’t order eggplant (I actually can’t eat eggplant). Server told me I did order egg plant. Told her again I didn’t order eggplant I ordered tofu. She continued to aggressively argue with me stating she knows I said eggplant because she had told me, “good choice” when I ordered and she loves eggplant and hates tofu. Others at my table told her they heard me order tofu as well. She continued to aggressively argue with all of us and then said we were “difficult from the beginning” and was actually physically getting in my personal space. The servers behavior was the most unprofessional I have ever encountered and was completely out of line. Management did minimal. Was nice and polite. Took my meal off the ticket. Which I told them I would not be eating and did not eat. Paid for everything else. Not about money, just facts. For reference, first time ever that I tipped zero in my adult life. Horrible experience. Worst service in town. Completely disgusting behavior. Will not be returning and will never recommend to anyone again.

Jack was our waiter and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We had never eaten here before and he made us feel welcome. We will definitely return.

They have an amazing menu with dishes from all over Asia. The waiter was really nice & he adjusted our orders to our liking. The menu is marked for degree of how spicy & the waiter says that they can cook it to order. My husband had the Salmon & said it was very good. I had a chicken & pineapple dish, but I was disappointed that the fruit & chicken were separate. Dinner comes with soup, salad and rice or noodles. They also have Sushi. Our 2nd visit, we all ordered different fried rice dinners. I ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken. There was so much of it & it was delicious that I had to leave half. I forgot to mention that all the dishes on the menu have what country the recipe is from. That's pretty cool. The fried rice orders did not come with anything. The waitress was sweet & she did a good job serving.

To-go orders are never ready on time. The app shows a pick up time and i still had to wait an additional 27 minutes for my food! Have the orders ready when they are suppose to be done, that’s ridiculous! They have a credit card fee that they don’t tell you about nor is it on any receipts or menus to inform you! They upped the prices again, yet portion size is still the same!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wow, just wow! I can't rave enough about this place. The sushi here is hands down the best I've ever had. Each bite was a burst of fresh flavors, and the presentation was impeccable. The restaurant itself is spotless, the service is top-notch, and the ambiance is so inviting and comfortable. But let's talk about the Chai Tea... I've never experienced anything like it before. Absolutely amazing! If you haven't tried it, you're missing out big time. This place has definitely become my new favorite spot!

Cute and comfortable place. Decorated in Hawaiian or beach motif. Staff are very nice and we did not need to wait for anything. However, the quality of the food does not match the high price. For example, I got tuna sashimi. There were 6 to 8 smaller slices. It was decorated like flower on top of a lettuce. A lettuce! Then, there were some carrots and ginger, wasabi etc. the quality of the fish wax at best Ok. We will not go back.

I came here with some local friends while visiting the city. These friends have a few serious allergies they deal with, and I could tell the care that everyone at Pacific Paradise took to make sure they were not only safe, but having a great time. That’s a very awesome vibe to bring to a restaurant these days. It made me wish I lived in the area so I could become a regular! And that was before even trying the food. I’d come here for the food even if the service weren’t so great, but here you have a place that has both, and that is not easy to find. Highly recommend the eggplant. I’ve never tried anything like it and now I’m having daydreams about eating it again.

We walked in and it’s pretty much a hole in the wall it’s such a home style atmosphere the waiter Ryan was amazing and very patient as well as professional I definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting some quality sushi an service

Great sushi, fantastic super friendly staff, and in general great food.

Inside, it looks campy. Like Gilligan's Island meets tiki bar. In the most joyous way. The food is always on point. The menu is extensive and affordable. Portions are large. The wait staff are friendly and accommodating. I literally have nothing but praise. I've dined here twice with a party of 20+ friends and not one person had a less than wonderful time (which is why we go back). I had baked mussels and my entree was crispy Tofu and noodles. Yum!!

Service was fine, but if you want bland food this is the place to be

Service was good. Portions on the Tibetan lamb dish were crazy small, ie child size $15.50 ($7-8 restaurant cost). Steamed red snapper was better size $17 ($9 restaurant cost). Spices and flavor were great 👍. The vegetable soup was just broth with lettuce and carrots. Squid saled was great, and good value $7 ($4-5 restaurant cost)

Excellent sushi, the skills are masterful and delicious! Tried the rice pizza, delicious and interesting concept! Also tried the garlic sunset, very good but hardly any garlic to my taste, comes with soup, steamed vegetables and jasmine rice all perfectly balanced! Ask ahead of time for gluten free option, they're able to accommodate if asked before ordering! Definitely will be returning again. BEST server is named Christmas! Try the Drunken rice pizza, delicious! What a great concept, I added as much chili flakes and oil but wasn't hot enough. 2-24-24 And the next best server is named Jack, he knows the menu and can offer good suggestions and if you have an gluten allergy he can make sure your food is safe for you! Very good service with Jack.

Came in Friday night with the family to enjoy a meal. Had Waiter Jack who was not great at his job not sure if it was an off night for him or a normal thing. Meals would come out after half of us were already finished eating. Had to ask other servers for help. Bill came in of $86 and change gave the kid $6 tip even though he didn’t deserve it. Total bill after tip was $92.60 get a notification this morning from my card saying I was charged $100.50. Which means they added an additional almost $8 to the bill that wasn’t authorized. To me that’s theft and the fact that they would do something like that is horrible. I guess they didn’t think people actually take proof of there receipts. Beware going here will be addressing this with my bank

This is one of our favorite places. The food never disappoints and the atmosphere is fun and comfortable. The take out is quick and you can order on beyond menu, very convenient. We've tried multiple dishes and they've all been delicious!

This has been one of my favorite place for 13 years.. wow, time flies! The food is consistently excellent. Service is always attentive. The Kung Pao is my favorite!

Tempura was greedy. Batter needs flavor, noodle dish small for price. Sushi rolls great!!

Amazing food at affordable prices

We have driven by Pacific Paradise hundreds of times, but never went in. So when a friend wanted to meet us there, we readily agreed. How have we missed this wonderful restaurant all these years? We loved it and returned within a week. Their food is delicious and their menu goes on and on, with dishes from a wide variety of Asian countries...oh, and Hawaii. Plus they have an excellent sushi bar. (The Pacific Paradise Roll is amazing.) We need to go back many times just to try all the dishes that called to us. But it's going to be hard not to order the crispy eggplant every time. We ordered this just because it sounded good and it was a huge hit. Disks of deep fried eggplant in the most delicious, addictive glaze! If you go here, you MUST order this dish (you must, you must). Also, the rice pizza is amazing...either the seafood or the drunken versions. Sounds weird and it's hard to describe, but trust us, it's delicious. Photos are the crispy eggplant (after almost half was eaten) and softshell crab and vegetable tempura. Go on line and look at their menu, but leave yourself lots of time because it's like reading War and Peace. Lots of food! Not a lot of bucks! (The price we paid per person included apps, sushi, and sake.) Heartily recommend!

Such a wonderful, friendly, attentive waitress to a party of 8. The food was delicious -i recommend the curry. Everyone in my table was happily satisfied with their dishes. Will come back. Enjoyed the vibe and decor 🙂

I like to support this place as my neighbor restaurant, but this sushi roll is shameful. This is their $15 signature 3 amigos roll. And look at the paper thin, dry snapper. This is grocery store value/quality

We tried Pacific Paradise on a weekday evening. We were sat quickly and were greeted by our server, who was friendly. There’s both booth and table seating, all of which is indoors. There are menus for non-sushi items, then a 8.5x11” paper menu for sushi which the diner can mark with a pencil. We each got a small cup of soup: the miso and a chicken and corn egg-drop. Both were bland and uninteresting; we’ve had better elsewhere. I’d give them a 2/5. The Japanese steamed dumplings were good; we both decided we’d get them again if we returned. I’d give them a 4/5. I wanted the coconut fried rice, but the coconut is the pre-shredded, dried, and bagged kind instead of fresh and seared, so I opted for the pineapple fried rice instead. It had a good savory-sweet flavor to it, and both the tofu (you can order whichever protein you want) and pineapple were finely chopped, which I enjoyed. I haven’t run across that in a Thai fried rice before, and I’ve had a lot of those dishes. I added raisins to the entree because otherwise the contents would have been pretty paltry with just eggs and the protein. I would have liked to have seen green onions, onions, cashews - anything - added to the mix. The flavor and serving size was a 4/5. My dining companion got the crispy Hawaiian chicken and said he would not get it again. We both agreed it was bland. He gave it a 2/5. Our server said anything on the menu can be made bespoke, and adding raisins to my dish was no issue. Some restaurants take umbrage at modified orders, but Pacific Paradise is fine with it. Overall I’d give the restaurant a 3/5. The soup was bland, but my entree was flavorful, if lacking multiple ingredients. I’d give Pacific Paradise another try, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

First visit here. Loved it and will definitely be back.

The food isn't bad, especially if you go during happy hour. But it is nothing to write home about. It's a real throwback to the island themed restaurants.

The food here is amazing. And the "Heat" level is awesome I had drunken noodles at level 11 and my face broke a sweat. Loved every minute of it. The squid salad is the best..

This is our go to place for anything Asian. Their sushi is delicious and the rolls are the perfect size. The drunken fried rice is my favorite rice dish and the pad Thai is amazing.

Been going here since they opened. Has gone down hill ever since they added on, and then Covid since is down hill fast bad. I keep telling myself to keep trying it since in neighborhood and used to be so good. Food menu seems to always be good/ok but sometimes portions are funny. The person making sushi is doing their job right but just bad ingredients supplied to them. I eat a lot of sushi and I am never eating there’s again. And they need to park what I think is owner greater somewhere in the back and higher someone with a personality.

One of.the pieces of Orange Chicken was gross! Looked like a Chicken liver! Never again will we ever go there again.

Took my dad for lunch and we enjoyed the sushi. The tuna and salmon was so fresh and they serve nice meaty chunks! Our server, Danni (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was so good with my dad, whom suffers from Alzheimers. I'm looking forward to going back as they have the best sushi by far from all other places I've tried.

Friendly people. Great atmosphere tasty food. Especially loved there shrimp tempura and fried eggplant to get started. Yellow tail sushi was by far my favorite from sushi order. If you are around San Pedro and Candelaria I highly recommend you stop in and treat yourself.

Went here after having it recommended by a friend. Food was great, service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was so lovely. It was like being in a fancy tiki hut and I found it charming. I could tell the music was on a loop, but at least it was instrumental and somewhat low-key and meditative.

The sushi at Pacific Paradise is always fresh with great choices, and the sauces have great Pacific flavor from pineapple to mango to passion fruit. Visiting the restaurant is always great because the service is fantastic, and once you walk through the doors the decor has the feel of an outdoor tropical dinner, especially on the north side of the restaurant where the boat is. It reminds me of the approach Disneyland took with the Blue Bayou making it seem like you're outside.

Went here for the first time today and really enjoyed it. Inside is clean and has cool little lights and fake trees lol. Our server was nice and the food/sushi was great! Will return with some more friends that I know would enjoy :)

Great place overall the service was above and beyond. The food was delicious. Great place to get together and have some good sushi. The place itself is a little tight and could feel overwhelming when a full house is in. It was pretty quiet when we went but they say it gets slammed on Fridays and Saturdays

It was ok, others in our party tried the Valentine's day sushi special, they were very impressed. I tried the the Kung Pau chicken, n the hot n sour soup, which was a little thin, all in all the food was ok.

Had a business lunch at Pacific Paradise and it was a positive experience overall. Sushi wasn't much better than in your local grocery store, but wasabi had great flavor and they gave plenty of ginger. Menu covers a lot of geography, which usually means nothing is best of breed. Entrees were good but not great. Flavors were good, but it felt like things could have been fresher. Service was slow, but that wasn't the server's fault. She was working the whole dining room alone and I think the kitchen was similarly short staffed as things were coming out very slow. Decor is cute. Prices are pretty good for what you get these days.

I know I've only got 4 stars on service but it really should be more like 4.5. There was a decent size hiccup on our order and my husband was unable to eat the pad thai at its heat level when he asked for no heat and the server did not get that info to the cooks ... and then we were charged for the dish even though he couldn't eat it. But he spoke up when we got the bill and got the order remade for us to take home and all was well. He loved it He also got the Honey Shrimp and he was all, OMG about but not nearly as much as I was about the Drunken Noodle dish. Serious, Holy OMFG, it was amazing. I asked if they could put tofu on it because I was between the Kung Pao Tofu and the Drunken Noodles and that seemed the best of both worlds and they did it for me. I will be back and ordering that dish a million more times! First time here, will absolutely not be the last.

Waited for our takeout for almost an hour and when we got our sushi rolls, the fish looked dyed, especially the tuna. The color was bleeding into the rice and it tasted rubbery. Did not taste fresh at all. Threw everything out except the miso soup, and even that wasn't great.

Me and my husband had went to go and try after we heard about their amazing sushi we got there a little late around 230 pm we didn’t know they closed at 3pm. They told us but they said they would still serve us and they sat us down. We ordered quickly but every item we ordered they said would take to long. We were just more frustrated that they sat us and said it was okay we would of preferred just being turned away instead of wasting 20mins

I have only eaten there once, but it was a really good experience. The name may be deceiving, because their business is on their door, but it says something different in the red letters above the store. ANYWAYS, I had the Pad Thai with beef, and it was possibly the best plate of Asian food I have ever eaten in my life! I definitely recommend! Plus, the staff was friendly and on top of it as well.

Hidden alternative, deserves recognition. I was surprised with the quick friendly service, the huge menu and nice atmosphere. All kinds of delicious food to choose from. I was impressed and very reasonable prices.

My favorite sushi spot in Abq! The kitchen also has amazing food. I really hope they start getting lobster back on the menu, though. 🤞🏼

They have a wide selection of items to chose from, happy hour for food, you can request how spicy, even vegan friendly. I order sushi most of the time, a nice portion, awesome service, nice decor, and great service.

Overall I love the food here, but beware of the spicy dishes. They go to 11 pretty fast. The chicken satay appetizer, which they call a different name, is very good. I like the chicken teriyaki dinner as well, but kick it up with a touch of Sriracha, which you can request. We had a large party the last time I went and the waitress got a bit snippy when my mother said we were ready to order and then started a game of twenty-questions about the menu. I do wish they'd ditch the 70s retro tiki bar look.

I wanted to love this restaurant but I just liked it. The portions are very small. Luckily we had sushi toward the end of the meal which filled us up. Half of the rolls were very bland despite all the sauces and soy sauce. The interior feels nostalgic though it's dated. The service was very good though despite the sushi taking forever.

A hidden gem! Our friends actually found out about the place and come here frequently, so they recommended we try it out. It was extremely well decorated, and totally decked out with a partial ship, palm trees, and a lot of “pacific” decor. The service was 10/10 as our waiter was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great and we enjoyed our first time here. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

Staff were friendly, cool ambiance of the place but for money and quality not my thing. Ordered on beyond app was to be 39.26, got there was charged 40.23 and I left a $2 tip. Not that the price error was great I didn't say anything but these should match, I think. The sara buri chicken skewers (thi) were so thin, hardly any chicken and honestly no flavor, peanut sauce was like a salad dressing so I won't order this again. Avocado roll was ok, I've had better for cheaper. Hawaiian chicken was good but again super thin, mainly breading. All in all for price and quality I'd go else where unless I just happened to go on an off day.

Best sushi I've had in the city!

Not only is the sushi here fresh and made on site, but they've an incredible Asian fusion menu. The soups are amazing, the sushi fantastic, and the meals ranging from drunken noodles to deep fried eggplant are wonderful. I can't write highly enough about this place.

Quick friendly service even on a busy night. Enjoyed the vegetable tempura served with rice and sauce. Large chunks of mushrooms, broccoli, sweet potatoes, onion rings, and string beans.

Very delicious food. The softshell crab feeds both the eye and mouth. The Thai drunken fried rice is very well seasoned but not too salty or sweet. My favorite of all is actually the steamed fish with ginger and green scallions. The broth is absolutely fantastic. The seasoning is just right, honestly possibly the top 2 steamed fish I ever had in my life (and I had this dish many times).

I'll just say I've been coming here for the past 9 years, maybe longer. I have always come away satisfied. Like a little comfy bit of fun with great food and friendly servers. Good sushi, especially the monkey balls, fried mushrooms stuffed with salmon in a tar tar type cut, with a tangy slightly spicy sauce. Plus my favourite orange deep fried dish from any Asian restaurant, Orange Delight. The happy hour is even today very fairly priced, with good choices, and probably favourite time to go. I always come away feeling good, and it's hard not to chuckle at the tacky island decor, but that is part of the charm. I hope they manage to make it through this rough time, as I really enjoy coming here.

Always have a great experience here! My favorite spot for sushi! Absolutely love their mango sticky rice for something sweet! If your looking for an awesome experience get their fire roll! Super delicious and is served on a plate of fire great for Instagram post! I've been going here since I was high school! Almost always have Ryan as our server! He's amazing and very kind, all their staff is!

When we ordered we were told there's no Lobster for the sushi rolls so we found another roll our of an already limited variety menu. We waited 25 minutes before we were told "not much longer" then 10 minutes later we were offered spring rolls while we waited. After 15 minutes longer there were still no spring rolls or sushi so we left. We won't be going back. Limited menu and bad service.

This place is a fun hidden gem in Albuquerque. Easy going atmosphere. Great delicious variety of dishes. A must try. Christmas our server top notch and very helpful.

First thing I tried was the miso soup which should have been a dead giveaway that I should go elsewhere but I was optimistic. Next the sushi came out and it looked so depressing. The colors were meh and the taste was so bland it made me wonder if I had COVID (unfortunately I did not). The only decent item we tried was their baked mussels. The service was good and everyone was super nice but it does not make up for the mediocre, at best, food we had.
