The food is delicious every time!

Waitress did what she could with what she had. Sushi was warm, everything was extremely bland, and they were out of several products. It’s a bad sign when a place with fish does not have A/C and a stale/stuffy environment. We used to come here a lot and thought… per the reviews…that it was still good. We now recommend and will drive the extra time and spend the extra dime elsewhere.

Soooo good! Fantastic fish - so fresh - generous serving to be sure! Highly recommend! Hole in the wall atmosphere, but that's what helps make it! Will be back, even at a long drive!

I ordered sushi on Selflane. The order was ready within 20 minutes, and the pickup was easy. I appreciate how the restaurant took an extra step by using paper dividers to keep the rolls separate. The Eskimo roll was filling and tasty. The slices of salmon were thick!

Hottest wasabi I've seen in awhile; Chirashi was chock-full of generous cuts of fresh fish, go early before the crowds... ;-)

First time coming to this restaurant and we order two sushi rolls, and udon noodles with beef. The sushi was ok and the noodles and beef were awful. The noodles were extremely sticky and the beef was like rubber and very hard to chew. We asked the waitress to send it back and she brought it back to us and said that she didn’t want to argue with the manager. The manager came and argued with us over how udon noodles should be. Didn’t bother to ask us if the meal could be replaced with something else. We will not be returning.

Amazing sushi and other dishes, attentive service, great prices, and a cozy atmosphere. The sushi is top-notch, but if people in your party don't care for sushi there is a delicious variety of other dishes. Note that they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Welcome to the Empty Plate Club Sushiya! Love this place. The Green Chile Tempura is always great. We only go to two sushi places in town and this is one of them. Keep up the great work.

Very nice people, very good food!

Got this order from Uber Eats. Bento Box was hot but the sushi was ice cold. The egg rolls, tempura and rice was extremely salty. The egg drop soup was white and tasted like eggs dropped in water.

We have never been disappointed!!! It's one of our favorites!!!

My favorite place to go for sushi in Albuquerque! The Sakura roll is to die for, and their salmon sashimi is always excellent!

The food is good here. Customer service when you dine in is decent. Order taking out the customer sucks; the gentleman was rude and kept sighing on the phone like I was wasting his time. He gave us no time frame for the food. Here is a suggestion: if you want customers to keep coming back, then you should consider additional training to enhance your customer service skills.

A great place to go for some great food. My hubby and I had lunch here and I loved it. Would definitely recommend to everyone to give it a try.

Their food has so much flavor. The portions are great. The service is friendly and prompt. Love their Green Chile Roll and Eggplant with Tofu plate, which is my favorite.

One of my favorite date night destinations. A calming atmosphere, excellent service, & tasty foods every time. Note: Treat yourself. DINE IN. Don't do take-out, or you can miss out on some important aspects of the whole experience. (This is not a "Panda Express" type food.)

I went on a Friday night for take out. I was surprised how empty the restaurant was. The lid on the very small container of Miso Soup was not on properly so the entire thing spilled in my car. The special rolls were soggy and lacked ingredients. The eel was not good. The California roll was just rice with a tiny bit of mushy crab. They stuffed 2 special rolls in one box and the washabi was totally dry. Not happy with anything and never going back. I just hope I don't get food poisoning.

Very disrespectful owner. Forgets every customer should be valued. No matter if it’s done-in or take-out. Said he takes care of dine in first and does not care about take-out. Dine in comes first. Waited an additional 20 minutes on top of the suggested time of order to be ready. There are other and better sushi restaurants other than this one. Deserves no stars.

This place is really hard to find. I had to pick up a door dash order from here, and even with GPS, I had a hard time seeing this place. It's tucked away in a little corner, but the employees where very welcoming and kind.

So far this is the best sushi we've had in our 3 years of living in Albuquerque. The fish to rice ratio is perfect on the nigiri. The sushi rolls are the perfect size to have one roll and an appetizer and feel full. I love that you can choose between steamed OR fried Japanese dumplings. My wife said the chicken fried rice was a bit bland and she preferred if it had bean sprouts, but otherwise it was fine.

This has been my go to spot for 13 years. I have never had a bad experience. The staff are amazing and the food is wonderful.

Absolutely amazing sushi!!!! Vicky is the sweetest server ever, she made sure everything was perfect. Even before I noticed I was almost out of my drink she was on top of it. Such great service. Will be back again and again.

I go to Sushiya fairly regularly and always get great food! Never had a bad experience. Pretty fair prices and like their coupons they regularly send out.

This may rate up there with the absolute worst Asian based food I have ever had! We had combo Yaki Soba with stir fried noodles, Combo Fried rice,, egg rolls and miso soup. Absolutely tasteless with every bite. Even the Chinese mustard was boring. And worst of all, no fortune cookies.

Makes me nervous when no prices on the menu but I was not paying. The food was good, the service was good. Beware: I tried to find something to eat without onions or onion powder and was not successful. Avoid this place if you have food sensitivities. I ended up losing my lunch soon after.

I love bento boxes. They had a great teriyaki chicken bento box. My son loved his rolls. We will go back and eat there again. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our lunch.

2 stars for it being edible. I placed my order via DoorDash. I called and specifically asked for no cucumbers on my rolls. They said "ok!" and then I got... cucumbers in my rolls. If it's a big enough deal for me to call about it, maybe try... not doing it? Also, I eat A LOT of sushi. The rolls that I had (Buddha belly, Crunchy roll) were just OK. Something about the flavors were off for both. The avocado was not fresh (mushy and dark). Also, the Buddha roll was really wet so it fell apart/became messy the moment I picked it up.

We dined in this past Saturday evening and this is the place to be! The service is excellent! The sushi, dumplings, and pork vegetable medley is excellent! Very affordable excellent food! We ordered 9 sushi rolls. Beautiful work. What a treat! We will definitely visit Sushiya every time we visit Albuquerque ❤️

Lowest tier sushi I've had in a long time. The rice was plain white rice, the ingredients weren't fresh, and it felt very low effort in general. I would have preferred sushi from Sprouts.

This was the first time I went to this restaurant. Used Grubhub in order to purchase the food. The person who I talked to did not have experience with Grubhub but after I made the purchase and around the timeframe I was told that the food should be ready I called to confirm that it was ready. It was the same person on the phone and confirmed it was ready. I came there and picked up the food and received an explanation of how the sushi and tempura were placed in the containers. The restaurant was in a strip mall and dark on the inside but appeared clean. Everything I ordered was correct and the food was delicious. The crab rangoon, calamari, soft shelled crab, sushi rolls and tempura were excellent. I would have had pictures but I could not stop eating before a pic was taken. Maybe next time. Would recommend the food to anyone and would definitely enjoy another meal from this restaurant. Thank you.

I eat here at least once a month. This is one of the top 5 sushi places in town. More consistent quality than any other, and competitive on price with all but the sketchiest places. In other words, it's the bang-for-your-buck king but still great quality. The other dishes are great too, and the staff is friendly and attentive even when the are delays. I've tried most of the menu and I only have one complaint: the tempura sauce. It's a little sweet, thin, and more ginger-dominant than authentic Japanese tempura sauce.

I’ve been coming here every week since we’ve been getting ready to move. I’m not one for sushi but the vegetable tempura is my favorite. This is the only place I’ll eat sweet n sour chicken, loveeee the fried sweet potato. We usually have the same server every time and she is the absolute sweetest. I wish I’d caught her name. I’m sad to be leaving

Extremely rude to food delivery drivers! The staff doesn't acknowledge them and actually yelled at one when they approached the counter. I wouldn't order from them just based on how they treat other service workers.

Nice little spot overall, cute ambiance and attentive staff. Sushi quality was about 7/10, and unfortunately the prices were a bit high. Most the rolls were uneventful, but we did order "the chef's mood" and it was great. The highlight was the beer prices. I believe a large Sapporo was ~$5.50. I'll be back to try their lunch specials and take advantage of the amazing large Sapporo prices!

A cozy, quiet, and efficient restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. I got the TNT roll and a bento box. The bento boxes are enormous and have an excellent selection.

My wife and I have loved everything we have ever ordered here. The Bento boxes are great, the udon is delicious, and the soup is good. But most importantly, the sushi is amazing - the rolls, the nigiri, the sashimi - it is all amazing, with good variety. One of our favorite restaurants, I highly recommend it!

I got take-out tonight. A shrimp tempura roll and California roll. Both are delicious. The rice is soft and not in to big amounts on the rolls. Finally a sushi restaurant that is good here in Albuquerque. A friend recommended Sushiya and said it was the place to go for good quality sushi that is consistently well made. So far so great!

The best salmon sashimi in the heights area, probably in town. The pieces are consistent with cut, texture, and taste. I have never had anything disappointing off their sushi menu. Also, If you are a fan of egg drop soup this is a place to get a decent bowl.

This is still a good place to have Japanese/Chinese fusion meal. I had a bento box today and was pleased, but found that the food was warm not hot and they've cut back on some of the content of the bento box. The food is still tasty; the salmon sushi and spicy tuna sushi was excellent! Yes, we will return and I will write another review as a follow-up!

Fish did not look or taste very fresh. Rice was crumbly and fell part while picking sushi up to eat.

I like their food and friendly service. My only complaint is the past several times I have ate there, there table menus do not match up with their tickets. I always order sweet and sour chicken or tofu and past 3 times I let it go, but they charge a dollar more than what the menu says, so be aware of that! Last time I brought it up to them, and they acknowledged it.

Me and my wife have been coming here for years. We use to live close enough for them to deliver, so we had it like twice a week. Lol. We moved and haven't been back in a while. We came the other day and it was just as good as always. If you are close, stop in and try them out. You won't be disappointed 👍🏼👍🏼

The sushi and sashimi were good. It was a pleasant experience. Their computer/Point of Sale system was down, so we had to order off a website and pay through that app…but stuff happens. Only complaint, the seaweed salad was way too sweet and drowned in the mix/dressing.

Loved it! The waitress Briannon was so sweet and basically became our bestie. She is easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. The food was amazing and had a great time with my friends. 10/10 would go again

I had Grub Hub deliver from Sushiya. The food and the delivery were perfect! I got the love boat for 2 and the soft shelled crab. It was so much food! I can't wait to eat here again.
