This used to be the spot. Now it's horrible meat is tough the asada didn't really have flavor the carnita was dry and it's super expensive. Spent $70 for 3 people to eat tacos. Bad tacos at that I was so disappointed. I won't be going back

I don't understand the people who love this place. Really, roast beef lacks a lot of flavor. I could cook better roast beef at home. The al pastor meat is not good at all either. It is not like the typical al pastor meat that comes from the trompo. Go better to the international Flavorless carne asada, al pastor that's not original from the trompo. Go to their location at the international better.

If you want a true delicious Taco de carne asada, this is the spot. Absolutely delicious, they use tortillas de El Milagro. Exceptional customer service exceptional Taco spot experience .

Even though I only had one taco here (unfortunately), I’d put Paco’s as among my top taco spots in Chicago! It’s a casual taco joint with no table service that also sells tortas, burritos, and tostadas. I had one barbacoa taco, which it was excellent, fresh, and the meat was robust in flavor. The tacos came out quickly, and were priced very reasonably. The only seating is on the chairs lining the walls; it was pretty empty when we went on a Saturday afternoon, so we easily found seats. I will definitely be back in the future!!

Tacos are on the pricier end, but they give a generous amount of meat and it tastes great as well. Good service, typically quick, and cashiers have been kind.

I've had better but they were fast and I didn't get sick. They didn't answer the phone for phone order but I waited no more than 5 minutes after I ordered in person

Tacos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I recommend eating the barbacoa and steak tacos. It is on the expensive side but the tacos are worth it . It's a cute place.

With the change of ownership of the place, the flavor decreased Their sauce doesn't taste like anything, before they gave you two glasses (red and green), they gave you tortilla chips, etc. Now everything is super brief, I only go when I get home to see my dad. But to go followed it does not apply Furthermore, they insist on trying new ducks and even if you tell them no, they continue to insist :/

One of the best places for any type of taco I’ve ever had and I’ve literally been to over 50 different taco places, including 15 in Mexico City, 10 in LA, and more. Their poblano and cheese my wife and I agreed is one of the best tacos of any kind we’ve ever had anywhere. Their al pastor, asada, and carnitas were all very good and way better than average. The chicharrone was the best I’ve ever had. Service was a little slow, but it was packed and at lunch time. Also, many of their tacos were PACKED with meat. It was overall extremely good value! Their salsas were better than average too. Inside you could get seating right up front to watch them cook which was cool.

Last time I been here was decades ago. My kid loves tacos de asada w/cebolla y cilantro but we get them from our suburb place. He’s older now & I wanted to show him how we do it in the hood. Damn I don’t remember them serving rubber soles for meat. Seasoned well enough but real tough to chew. Dropped almost a hundo for a full order to dine in & also to go. The service is outstanding. Quick, friendly, & polite. The asada tacos were a let down tho. Reading these reviews makes me realize some people like eating tacos like chewing gum. Before you decide to stop here, do yourself a favor and go to the one on Ashland by 47th instead. That one is legit. As far as us, we’ll stay loyal to our paisas in the burbs. They do it right.

I love Paco's Tacos. I've been to all 3 locations within Chicago, and I have to admit they are one of my favorite tacos. Top 3 for sure. Maybe even top 2. They come with 2 tortillas and I must warn you that they are packed with meat. I usually eat 3 tacos at other restaurants, but 2 Paco's Tacos is enough for me. The steak taco is my favorite. The meat is tender, juicy, and flavorful. A bit pricey at almost $5 per taco, but you will get full. They also have some really good horchata.

I liked the food...the tacos were good, not much of a wait for your order. The only thing that was expensive for me is ordering an extra tortilla for 55 cents and then taxes separately. I know that everything is expensive but don't exaggerate on those things either.

They specialize in tacos, of course! They also have tortas, burritos, and tostadas. You can get pretty full off of 2-3 tacos. My go-to are the barbacoa tacos. Very juicy. My new favorites, however, are the carnitas tacos. They were super-packed with pork -- fresh and juicy meat (not dry like some other places). Note that seating is all high-top chairs. You can also take things to go, like ready-to-eat meat and chicharones for dinner or a party. Bring Paco's Tacos wherever! Loved this place for years. Glad they're still in business and still great quality.

One of my top contenders for tacos. This place has a great generous taco. These tacos are bit pricey but well worth it. They have a few locations. All on the southside of Chicago.

Why do they charge 13.25 % tax rate for soft drinks? There is no restaurant in the city that charges that rate for soft drinks. Something that the consumer department has to look at. Whoever owns this place is really starving for money. Go check it out and you'll find out why. And just when you thought over 4 dollars for a bland taco wasn't enough they charge for limes 🤣

The people are nice and the food is fresh. I gave it a low review because I had 2 tacos and it was $12. I thought it was alot for it. The ingredients was fresh but the steak was bland. The meat didn't have any flavor.

Some of the best tacos in the city…hands down! A cozy place, and quite busy, but wait time was minimal, and my group and I were able to find seating even during the lunch rush. Everyone on staff is kind and helpful. A definite must try!

Carnitas tacos are great we drove 3 hours to eat there tacos we where eating and the lady there told us that it was 7:45 that we had 15 min to eat !! Because they close at 8 por que tienen que hacer eso si estamos comiendo adentro ya tienen que esperar a que terminemos y no apurarnos queríamos pedir más comida y no pudimos por que nos apuraron para comer !!

Im confused as to why people have rated this place so high. The tacos are miniature in size compared to other taco places in the area. With a price of 4.25 for 1 miniature tacos feels like robbery. This was the true meaning of shrinkflation. The steak meat wasn't the worst I've tasted but far from the best.

Delicious authentic Mexican food! I absolutely loved the Al Pastor tortas and the tacos were also very good. Friendly service and nice and clean environment. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for those looking for authentic Mexican food in the area. Also tried the chicharrones and they were nice and crunchy.

Gave this place an overall score out of 10 a 6.5. The Al pastor is the best I’ve ever had that doesn’t come off a trompo. Carne Assad was horrible. Carnitas is 6/10 and Barbacoa is average. I’m from LA and have had much better tacos but these are the best in chi town. Chicago is not known for tacos so don’t expect much. Thanks

Wow, probably the best steak taco I've ever eaten. Real steak and nice size. I'm 240lb and 2 steak tacos and half/half rice and bean bowl with a Jarrito filled me up decent. Taco was a bit pricey ($4.25) but overall worth the price.
