I’ve tried the ham &cheese and guava Pastelito and I am still dreaming of them. Delicious and fresh! They offer a free coffee to first responders which shows care for the community which I love! Definitely come and support this small business. Their coffee is also 💯💯💯💯 smooth espresso

I came at 1pm on a Saturday with the hopes of maybe finding some real Cuban food in Knoxville. As someone who grew up on it, I like many like me, are a bit desperate to find "home" cooking. Sadly, what I found was mediocre at best. My pressed Cuban sandwich, handed to me 25 minutes after my order was cold. I wanted tostones on the side, but they were out. My wife had the pulled pork bowl. I had no side, we had 1 can of Coke and had to eat our meal in the van. $28 dollars and precious time wasted. The five star reviews must come out of desperation for our ethnic food or just damn lucky that day because I have had better from food trucks in Miami. I think they have stretched too far and what is probably a fantastic bakery is not so fantastic for much else.

The flan is real! Not the fake jello stuff you buy at the store. Everything is made fresh and delicious. I ordered catering for a small party of 8, and they made everything within a couple of hours, and it was very well priced. The owners are kind people. Authentic experience!

We ate here for the first time a week or so ago and it was so good!! We moved up from FL five years ago and the Cuban sandwich tasted just like the ones you would get at the bodegas in Miami. So good! We will definitely be back.

Staff is so friendly and the food is so good. The cream cheese and ham and cheese are my favorite pastelitos. The dulce de leche pastry they have is life changing. Get an iced cafe con leche with one sugar and your life will change.

Excellent Cuban sandwiches. They aren't super complicated items, but each component was great: the bread, pork, mustard especially stuck out. They make everything to order, and its a small shop, so it might be worth calling ahead to get the order started or be ready for a wait.

I always feel so welcomed when I come in and for everything to be made fresh they get the orders out fast! I love it here and would definitely recommend.

I am cuban and from Miami Florida... this place literally made me tear up trying their cream cheese and all pastries. I felt like I was home again. The Cafe con leche is on point... the Ham croquetas are also on point and if you closed your eyes trying it and listening to their music and sipping your cafe con Leche you will feel like you're back in Miami! I tried different cuban spots all around... and this bakery by far brings me the most home. 100 out of 10 if you ask me.

Called ahead to make sure they were open since we live an hour and a half away. Lady said 2:30 but then they closed early. Good food but I'm not wasting my gas to come again In response: cool, but I Called ahead.

Came by here after our Cuban family friend recommended it. We got the ham, egg, and cheese croissant (pictured) and the chorizo and queso pastelito, AND THEY WERE BOTH FREAKING DELICIOUS. Amazing flavor! We will be making this a weekly thing in our household.

So glad we found this little gem. We will be frequenting in the future. We went for lunch on Saturday and came back for breakfast the next morning.

My husband, our toddler and myself came here for the first time in 05/21/2024. It’s a small family run place and you can feel the family vibe immediately! The boys at the counter were so welcoming. The food did not take long at all. We ordered 2 Cuban sandwiches, and rice and beans! The Cuban sandwich was fantastic, plenty of meat and the bread was PERFECT which is always hard to find here in Tennessee when you want really good Cuban food! I also loved the different seating options as there’s a small high table, and 2 seat table inside and then a few tables outside on the sidewalk! The owner was also very involved and super kind! We definitely will be back again!

My husband and I first found their pastries at the farmers market, and when we found out they opened a store front we had to go. We were not disappointed! Everything we’ve tried here has blown us away, whether it’s their popular guava cheese pastry or their cafe con leche… everything is phenomenal. The staff are all so friendly and kind as well. This is our new favorite spot!

We love this place. We often get the pastelitos (we’ve tried Guava and cream cheese, beef, spinach and feta, ham and cheese & chorizo and queso) and their sandwiches (Cuban). Next visit we’ll try their chop chop bowl. YUM!

The family that cooks is so nice and the food is better. If you want the best sandwiches and pastries in Tennessee this is the spot! Shout out to Javier at Lowe’s for the recommendation.

I got a spinach and feta pastelito which was sweet, spicy, and savory all at once. Delicious. Also got a Cuban sandwich which was excellent, and a cortadito coffee. YUM. Fun and polite staff and it's obviously a family-run business. The seating area is small but the atmosphere is great. I sat at my table long after I'd finished and wrote this review while watching the people come and go. I'll be back next Sunday.

We came here looking for authentic Cuban and we got it. Probably would have given five stars, however they prioritize DoorDash orders over in person orders and we had to wait 20 minutes for a Sandwhich, that wouldn’t fly in Miami. We also got a chop chop bowl and they substituted tostones instead of plantains without advising us. The tostones were greasy and overcooked. Overall good food but won’t go out of our way again to eat here.

I ordered the media noche and guava and cream cheese pastry. While the sandwich was wonderful, the pastry was the star! Flaky, buttery, creamy with a little sweet. Perfect! This was my first experience with Cuban food. Walking into the shop felt like stepping off the streets of Miami. Cuban music played while you order at a counter laden with different pastries. Though the seating is minimal, it is comfortable. The staff was helpful in answering questions and providing suggestions. I will definitely be back and telling everyone I know about this place.

Update Feb 2024: still no reply. Why do the owners not care? Original: The guava pastry I bought was incredibly delicious, flaky, and authentic, but the young girl (gen Z brat) was so rude that I can't return. Will it kill her to SPEAK? Maybe God forbid say THANKS? At $5.25 each, the pastries were delicious but VERY overpriced. Why must you rush the customer bc you have better things to do on your everpresent cellphone. The small location with weird side facing windows was hard to find, as was figuring out where to park. Customers deserve better.

So after waiting for over 25 min for 3 simple egg and ham sandwiched and seeing bunch people who came after us and got their food while I was still waiting the girl who is running the place said she will refund my money and doesn't want to serve us. Be prepared to wait for 30 min to an hour . Lots of better places nearby . At least I was able to get my money back from that thief with a fake smile

Cuban food that's every bit as good as you'd find in Florida if not better. I've tried probably 3/4 of the menu now, and I've yet to find anything that wasn't superb. Still, the Cuban sandwich is my personal favorite. Nothing beats it, especially when the bread is fresh made in-house. The prices are insanely good too, for both the quantity and quality that you get. Easily my new favorite place to eat in town.

We have been seaching for a small cafe/bakery with great food and great coffee!!! This place is it!!! The Cuban espresso coffee was perfect! The Guava Cream Cheese Pastry as well as the ham croquettes were delicious!!! I had their Cuban this week and it ranked at the top!!! The people there were so nice!!! If you want a great Cuban bakery with excellent breakfast and lunch, this place is it!!!! This will be a regular for us!!!

Years ago I had just set up for a gig at the World Grotto (I think that was the name of the place) and hadn't eaten all day. Above the WG was a Cuban place that I don't know the name of and closed a little while after that. They were don't for the day and not serving food anymore that day. They did have a couple Cubans (the sandwiches, weirdo) sitting on the oven and sold my friend and I one. It was my first Cuban. I've had dreams about that Cuban. I've tried some that were close but none of them ever really nailed it. There was a place on Campbell Station that came close. Now, I said all that to say all this, I found it. The Dream Cuban. There's a little place on Cedar Bluff (technically, just off of Cedar Bluff) called Pastelito's Cuban Bakery and they are so wonderful. I had lunch with my wife today and we split one of the giant Dream Cubans. I bought two, the realized the size. And I bought two chorizo and queso turnovers. They're huge too. That's on me. The Cubans are exactly what you want them to be, simple, elegant, tasty, and drippy. The turnover is crispy and sweet. Then you get to the chorizo which surprises you with a little spiciness. Just go here. It's a cute little shop and has endless things to look at. And the people are so friendly and sweet! Go. Go eat there.

It’s a little tricky to find, but has a cute atmosphere and fun music. The dining area is pretty small, but is fine for two people dining in. The staff are really friendly and nice to work with. We will definitely be going back.

I am Cuban and I live in Miami. I visit my boyfriend often in Knoxville. I feel very credible to leave this review. THANK GOD there’s an actual delicious and authentic Cuban spot in Knoxville. It feels like I’m at a bakery on Calle Ocho back home. — *Research Miami Calle Ocho*. The restaurant really gives off the Latin vibes! If calories didn’t count I’d eat here daily…. I’ve tried the following; - Pastellito de Queso, 10/10 - Pastellito de Guava, 10/10 - Steak Sandwich A.K.A Pan con Bistec, 10/10 - Croqueta Sandwich, 10/10 - Croqueta de Jamón, 10/10 - Rice Bowl, 10/10 My boyfriend tried the Pumpkin Pastellito back in November and he’s still raving about it. If you’re unsure what to order to get an authentic Cuban meal. Try the streak sandwich and try any Pastellito, my favorite is the cheese. (Pastellito de Queso)… highly addictive. Liana, Ernie, and Alayn are great! They always provide the best service. I 100% recommend!

Such an AMAZING experience! It transported me right back to Miami where I tasted my first Cuban coffee and didn’t have to deal with a Snowpocalypse! I need to go back ASAP for a sandwich but we start school again tomorrow. My only wish is that they were open before or after school hours! I totally get why they’re not! OMG this place is amazing. We got the guava pastry and the pulled pork chop bowl. Both were absolutely delicious. The lady that helped us was very nice and got our food out fast. I can't wait for this place to grow into a full sit down restaurant. Do yourself a favor and stop by to try their food.

My husband and I enjoy randomly trying places. We were so glad we chose this spot over the weekend. It's easy to miss because it's tucked on the side. Most people were ordering to go, but we sat at the little table. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. I wasn't sure what pastry to try, but now that I've tasted two, I need to try all of them. I ❤️ the beef pastry with a touch of sweetness! The bread for the Cuban was perfectly toasted, and so delicious. My husband really enjoyed his chicken MOJO, and the plantains. We reluctantly shared a cream cheese pastry. The pricing is competitive for our area. I understand a few people were comparing it to pricing in Miami, but in Knoxville, there is no competition, and the pricing definitely isn't high enough to consider driving to Pigeon Forge for food that is delicious here. Definitely worth stopping by!

I'm strictly basing this review in me living 17 years of my life in La Saguesera aka Little Havana 305 ya tu sabes papo. So I'm going to do my best to give this a just review, any place that claims to be AUTHENTIC I have to go extra hard on my review. Aqui vamos, croquetas : 5 out of 5, nice crunch, flaky, great tasting ham, can't mess that up. Guava pastelitos : 5 out of 5, everything a guava pastelito needs to have it had. Cheese pastelito : 5 out 5, again kept it real, didn't try to do too much or change the game, solid. Tostada: 3.0 out of 5, only reason I'm giving you a 3 is that it wasn't really toasty like a toastada should be, butter was on point, but I like my toastada like the name says toastada. Not such a big deal, still good. Lastly Pan con Bistec: 4.5 out of 5, only reason I didn't give it a five was the size, and lack of caramelized onions, but I guess that's to each their own. I'm sure there is a reason why the size comes as the size it sells for, but I'm willing to drop a few more bucks for a little bigger size sandwhich, maybe that's just the chubby kid in me talking but that's the truth. Overall this place is legit, not gonna lie, se la comieron for real. When it comes to price, it is what it is, inflation is real, and it takes more money to bring some supplies up here, plus it's cheaper to buy these here then ask abuela to mail you pastelitos from down south. Love you grandma, overall check this place out, both ladies at the front, were nice, and helpful. Be patient, and don't be an @sshole when you get there, it is a small shop, wait outside if you don't like to be around people in small spaces.

We recently moved to Tennessee from Miami and were looking for a legit Cuban cafeteria. After several failed attempts, we were so happy when we found Pastelitos. The pastries and the Cuban bread are all made by hand and they are better than the ones back home. When my wife and I stop in for a Cuban sandwich and a cortadito or a cafecito, we forget that we’re not back in Miami. I highly recommend Pastelitos.

The BEST Cuban bakery in East TN. The owners are so great and their pastries are so delicious. I love to go in and have lunch with some Cuban coffee. Their savory pastries are also so good. If you can’t get to their farmer’s market stand before they sell out, definitely make your way to their brick and mortar location to try their stuff

The moment I walked in the door I instantly felt like I was back home in Miami. From the moment I ordered to the very moment we left, I had such a welcoming feeling like we were with family. The food was just as amazing as the atmosphere.. it is nice to finally have a little piece of home only a few minutes from my house. I will definitely be coming back for some homemade picadillo. Finally! Authentic Cuban food in Knoxville area!!!! For a Cuban living in Tennessee for 25 years, this is an amazing treat! Ate there guava and cheese pastry, and Cuban coffee in morning and media noche for lunch, both outstanding! Prices are a little pricey compared to Miami but it's OK compared to the prices of most sandwich places in Knoxville. The food is outstanding and delicious! I give them a 9.9 out of 10! I highly recommend everyone to go and try some GREAT Cuban food! 👌 👏 🙌 😋

Visited several times and always a good experience. It takes a while to work out the wrinkes of a new business and it seems they have. If you don't like the price go to McDonald's. I always choose to support local.
