Great place for gelato! So many choices! So good. One of our favorite places on the island.

Ice cream was delicious and plentiful. I was smart when I ordered a small. Unlike the person I was with ordered a triple-scoop with three different flavors. Which looked like six heaping scoops which he had no problem eating as it melted all over him like a child.

Best varieties of flavors on the island. I recommend the Gator Stew :).

I've been to Pinocchio's many times. But this is my first time leaving a review for them. I love their new location in Periwinkle Place. Tonight, I had a single cup of the Double Dark Chocolate. My mom and my husband both had the Sol De Mar (dark chocolate with caramel swirl). Both flavors were amazing. The place was super busy, even on a Wednesday evening on the summer... And there were just two servers. But both guys kept their cool and served everyone with a friendly demeanor. The only thing I didn't like is that there weren't explanations of the flavors on the name cards. You know how in some places they have flavors and mix-ins listed on the flavor cards? Pinocchio's currently doesn't have this. You need to ask the servers for explanations of the flavors i.e. "Purple Cow" is black raspberry ice cream with chocolate chips as a mix-in. Although, P.S. they do offer free samples of your trying to decide between flavors. This is my favorite I've cream on the island. The are currently (2 years after Hurricane Ian) three ice cream places on Sanibel, and Pinocchio's is my favorite. The ice cream flavors are stellar, creative (with classic standbys, of course), and creamy. They have 45 topping options (including different nuts, candies, and sauces). And the quality of the ice cream is great...flavorful, indulgent, and delicious.

Excellent ice cream and friendly staff at the famous Sanibel ice cream parlor. Certainly a little expensive for the ice cream, namely 15 dollars per adult, but very good.

Can’t believe how great their ice cream is. My wife and I visited last night and had Sal De Mar and Butterfinger Ice Cream after dinner at Mud Bugs. The girls were working diligently at cleaning up and were pleasant and helpful. Prices were very fair. Looking forward to going back. Thanks Pinnochio’s!.

So good but the hurricane machine is constantly “broken” (McDonalds style). Their key-lime hurricanes are to DIE for. I will keep going and say a prayer every time that someone will make me one because they are chronic. I am 1 for 3 this Sanibel trip and am really hoping they can muster the strength to make it for me one more time because ya girl is 6 months pregnant and need one badly.

So, so good! There are plenty of flavor options on both ice cream and gelato. Plus baked goods! Try a sundae with the hot fudge on the side so the ice cream doesn't melt as fast. I can honestly say the ice cream has smoother textures and more outstanding flavors than the other local homemade ice cream company.

The ice cream was delicious and the boys working were so kind and went the extra mile to make sure we had what we needed.

pinocchio's, you've changed. you have always been my favorite part of visiting sanibel, however, after last night, i am confident that i will never be returning again. not only did you close a whole 15 minutes early, you did it while staring my brother and i down after we had just told you we would be returning for more ice cream in mere minutes. also, you did not provide any napkins despite the fact that your ice cream starts melting seconds after it is scooped. for that reason combined with the fact that you decided to close early, i had to wash my hands in a nearby fountain. A FOUNTAIN. not to mention, your employees and the store in general give off the most eerie vibes... and vibes are important. if you can, i highly recommend trying out sanibel's best homemade ice cream which is located where pinocchio's was back when it was actually good. much better service, ice cream, and people.

My husband and I took our two young daughters here for dessert. We all enjoyed it a lot. There wasn’t a weird smell like some mentioned in previous reviews so the owners must have addressed that. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ice cream and gelato was delicious.

Sorbet is dairy free. Or at least it is supposed to be. Pinocchio’s adds dairy to their sorbet, so it’s really more of a sherbet and not appropriate for people who can’t or won’t eat dairy.

Large portions. Good flavors. Prices are decent, and what you'd expect for an island destination. Half their selection is gelato or sherbet, so they could probably offer some additional choices of ice cream. Good place to go for ice cream though. I'd go back.

Very friendly staff and very yummy ice cream

Very good ice cream. Veteran place with home made ice cream, including some specialty flavors. Our entire family (couple + 3 kids) enjoyed the ice cream immensely. This place is highly recommended to stop at Sanibel Island.

This is the best ice in Sanibel island the ice cream is creamy and super delicious. The customer service excellent I tried a couple of ice cream shops in the island and there is nothing more delicious than Pinocchios.

Get the real Italian Ice cream, you won't be disappointed! Peak hours do have crowds so come early.

Tons of ice cream flavors to choose from, gelato, sorbet, and sherbet too! The portions are generous. Definitely an island favorite, so prepare for it to be busy around usual dessert timing.

Friendly and attentive service. I had (by far) the best chocolate malt I have had in the last 10 years. I can’t stop thinking about it and can’t wait to go back. This place was 100% amazing.
