Beatiful place!!!! Delicious food like in home!!! Our waitress Joselyn was an excellent guide and a pleasant conversationalist. She is an excellent representative of the restaurant to the customer.

First of all the margherita was disgusting and although I sent it back having only taken one sip it still appeared on my bill. Ok no worries, I didn't dispute it. Next some guacamole appeared, no piquancy, no garlic, no lime. Bland. Avocado paste. Not a hanging offence but expect far better from a 'tex mex' speciality restaurant. Next came the main courses: the lunch 'special combos'. My kids hated everything that arrived. I get that refried beans are not everyones cup of tea but everything we ordered was disgusting. We ate a few mouthfuls and left maybe about 90%. The waitress asked us if we wanted the remnants boxed up. LOL. No thanks. Straight into the bin please! Really bad meal. The worst I've had for a while. At least it wasn't overpriced. Getting out of there: The electricity went off just when the payment went through. The manager was called. We waited around for a short while and rather than 'terribly sorry' etc. she was just kind of unpleasant, the resting btch face kind of dame. Kind of brings me to my final point. The miserable, domineering attitude of the manager unquestionably contributes to the depressing atmosphere of the place. Rather than the pleasant welcoming atmosphere of a successful restaurant, one that one may wish to frequent, all the staff seemed miserable. I for one would hate to work under such a manager. Grim place. Avoid.

As you can see, the margaritas were excellent!!! My wife and mother in law finished thr 68 oz pitcher. Kudos. I didn't think they could do it. As for the rest...the atmosphere was nice and the service was great. Though, I think the server was new. She was a little flustered answering questions. But she did a good job. Plus, the food was out crazy fast! Seriously. I think the food came out in less than 5 minutes! And that brings me to the best part. The food was incredible! I had the beef tacos, and I have to say they may have been the best tacos I've ever had! In addition, the refried beans were amazing, and the rice was superb! I honestly wish we had room for dessert. But we did not. P.S. We also took enough left overs home that we should get another meal or two out of the night!

On a family trip, our teenager had Quesadillas while our less adventurous son opted for the fried nuggets We had combo and adult side burritos and margueritas. 1 for 2 would have been enough. Very good and plentiful A great address for excellent value for money

Food here was mediocre for my meal and my spouses meal made her ill. The culprit was the tacos al pastor. The other issue was our server. I think she was also the bartender because she was busy elsewhere for most of our meal barely checking on us. We will give these guys another try when in town.

Ended up at Rosalita’s for dinner because we had no power. So glad we did, the food was amazing and Margaritas were tasty. We ordered the steak dinner and definitely enough for 2 people. Everything from the chips & salsa to the dinner were delicious. Atmosphere very nice and clean restaurant. Just sad we didn’t get to go back a second time.

Amazing food, fun environment, wonderful staff.

We were seated quickly. Lisa was fast to greet us and brought light and crispy chips and salsa. When our drinks arrived we were ready to order. I had the chicken quesadilla and my friend order guacamole for the chips and a salad. The food was prepared quickly and the portions were ample. A few doggy bags were need. I found the prices very reasonable and the service was efficient and friendly. I would return any time and request Lisa for our server if she is available. If not I'm sure the other servers are just as nice.

Excellent Mexican restaurant! Walked right in around 6pm and was seated. Food came out very fast! Food was excellent! Very friendly waitress! Would certainly come back again!

We were visiting Sanibel Island from out of town and chose Rosalita's based on all of the great reviews. We ate there on 6/12/24 a little after 5pm. The atmosphere is great and our server was wonderful. The chips and salsa were delicious - I loved the cilantro in the salsa. The rest of the food LOOKED great too. However, it was one of the worst Tex-Mex we ever tasted. It seemed like the cook forgot to season the meat! My mother ordered 3 beef soft tacos, my husband ordered a beef burrito, I ordered enchiladas made with barbacoa beef, and my father ordered quesadillas with carne asada. With the manager's permission (according to our server), our server ended up comping my mother's meal off the ticket because it was so bland she didn't eat any of it after two bites. However, the manager never came by our table to offer any apologies or ask us any questions. My dad ended up sharing his quesadilla with my mother (his was the only meal that tasted kind of okay). My enchiladas were very bland so I only ate one of them and left the rest. The rice and refried beans were not great. My husband's burrito was also very bland, although he ate the whole thing because he said he was starving. (As a side note, we did not penalize our waitress - she was great.) The worst part about it all was that my husband ended up getting sick about an hour and a half after eating his meal. He was up all night throwing up and with diarrhea, bloating, and with stomach pains. I thought I would have to take him to the urgent care or emergency room if he wasn't better by the next morning. However by the next day, he started to feel a little better, although he got very little sleep (if any) that night because he was suffering from the stomach ailment - he definitely feels it was the burrito that he ate. It wouldn't hurt Management to check into what's going on in that kitchen. We really wanted to like Rosalita's, but our experience made it impossible to give it more than a two-star rating, and that's being generous. Our server gets five stars though - she was great from beginning to end.

Beautiful interior. We were seated immediately and our server was very attentive. The salsa chips fresh and delicious. Our order came out quick and everything was amazing. Definitely recommend trying if you haven't already

We loved rosalitas! Highly recommended the queso with carne asada. So good. My boyfriend and I split the steak fajitas and they were delicious. I also had a mango tango that was fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was quick. Rosalita’s is definitely staying on the list of places to eat while in Sanibel!

I couldn’t say anything bad about my experience! Great food, yum! Plenty of food! Our server Caitlyn was so nice and took great care of us! The atmosphere is great too! You will not go wrong having lunch or dinner there!

Hello! I had an experience today I think you should know about…We are longtime local residents and have been very supportive of Roselita’s right from the start. Love the place! But today, when I tried to make a reservation online the website told me my party of 3 was “too large” and that I should contact the restaurant which I happily did. The person who answered the phone seemed irritated that I should want to make a reservation for 3 (as if I should have known better) then brusquely told me it was “first come, first served” only! As I said earlier, we love the place and the food, but a bit of respect and customer serve can go a long, long way

First time visit and would definitely come back. Fantastic service, thanks Andrea! Food was excellent . Enchiladas were good in ground beef and cheese. Chips nice and light and salsa not too hot!

In short, our waitress disappeared for over 15 minutes after bringing waters. We asked for water refills to another waiter and his immediate response instead of getting the water was “ let me get your waitress”. Finally, she showed up and brought one water when the party was of five. Bathrooms smelled bad. Food tasted good and food runners were great.

I've been to Rosalitas several times now and want to go back every time I'm on the island! The lunch specials are great. Queso is best in SWFL, super thin fresh chips and salsa. My wife has had the enchiladas and the grouper dinner both Fantastic choices. I recommend the al pastor tacos, the chicken and shrimp dinner or tamales if that's your thing, they're great here. Ambiance is great and service is always on point.

My whole family loves Rosalita's! It's a must stop for us on our beach days!

Visited Rosalita’s on Rabbit Rd near San-Cap Rd last evening for dinner. It is located where the short-lived “400 Rabbits” (also Mexican) restaurant used to be. The location had great parking. We entered and found a bright, airy, restaurant with lots of great decorations. They even had an area where folks who practice organized Catholic faith could light a candle in memory of someone. It was kind of neat to see. Our server was Ashley, (I asked permission to use her name). In addition to being absolutely stunning, the kind of beautiful that makes you forget your own name, she was an excellent server. She was attentive, made great suggestions, and even engaged us in conversation. We ordered Shrimp Fajitas, Shrimp Mango Street Tacos, and our food came with Fresh Chips and tasty salsa. I ordered a Strawberry Frozen Margarita (40 oz) that was delicious. The only reason I couldn’t finish was my brain kept freezing. I had churros with chocolate sauce for dessert. Among the best Mexican food I have ever had, and all at a VERY reasonable price point. We hope to visit again on this trip. Totally worth the stop.

I am a full time resident on the island …..There are so many choices on and off Island …My experience tonight began with ordering a shot of tequila on the rocks with lime( no lime was present in my drink) had to wait ten minutes for server to return to request the previous requested lime … ok I’ll give you a pass …. Received my steak quesadilla with mushrooms added ( received quesadilla with no steak)🤔🤔🤔… sent it back to be corrected … server brought it back and said steak was on there but they added more ….although it WAS NOT on there when first served … ok have you pass #2…. Brought my check and charged $2.00 for the ice in my tequila on the rocks !!!!!!…SORRY NO PASS #3… will not be back !!!!! Too many places to eat on the island as a local, I will continue to support the restaurants on the Island. But will spend my $100.00 dollar bills elsewhere!!!!… Rethink the $2.00 ice cube!!!

Second restaurant we went to while on vacation. Our waitress could not have been more accommodating. Our food was brought out before we even had halfway finished our margarita. Food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you like Mexican Food

Service was sub par…server kept getting the order wrong and forgetting stuff. Than the service poured water that was “tainted” and tasted like cleaner was in it. Very upset and won’t be returning.

We stopped by Rosalita’s for dinner while visiting Sanibel for the day. The food was awesome! The coconut shrimp will leaving you dreaming for days! The atmosphere was fun. The service was really quick as well. Shout out to Lisa for the amazing service! Oh yeah, you get chips and salsa while waiting for your food. So great!

My husband and I stumbled by this on our drive through Sanibel and it was awesome! The food was great, the portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The best part of the visit was our server, Sandy, who was just the best! She steered us through the menu, offered suggestions, and was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

The worst food ever! We had the chicken flautas, fajitas, and al pastor street tacos…even the salsa had no character. The fajitas meat was so hard, flavor less, it was more of vegetables with “fajitas “, it’s serve with old rice and beans, food came out so fast you can tell everything is re heated. The store bought flour tortillas were like plastic. The pastor meat is not supposed to be minced meet. The guacamole had a bad texture, it tasted okay but i didn’t feel it was safe to eat it. Please get a better cook and serve quality food. I don’t recommend any of these dishes we ordered

Third year celebrating Cinco de Mayo here! Food, margaritas and service were excellent!! They had a marachee band and lots of give aways. Well worth the drive from Ft. Myers. Great time!!

A generous 3 stars for this joint. It was not busy when I entered at 12:30 pm on a Monday. I was greeted and seated promptly. Free chips and salsa, and the chips were warm, which was nice. Water was from the tap and if you aren’t from this area you’ll pick up on the fact that it’s not filtered because it smells like, and tastes like, the matchstick sulphuric thing that all the water coming out of faucets on this island smells like. I wasn’t that thirsty. The decor was, I suppose, appropriate but dated. Weird spikey blown glass lights that I observed were probably hard to clean because they were filmy and dusty. I ordered a house margarita and the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were bland- no seasoning. Plain cabbage and too much cheese (seafood and cheese is weird to me) and it came with three tiny lime chunks (not full wedges) and two sauces, a green tomatillo and avocado sauce with cilantro that was spicy, and a mango sauce which was also spicy. 9 shrimp (not freshly cooked) for 3 tacos, buried under cheese and plain dry cabbage. Without these sauces the tacos would have tasted like cardboard. I expected with the rating on Google there’d be some sort of culinary elevation for the price, but nah, they apparently seem to think they can survive based on location and desperate non-risk taking tourists. Showcase the seafood in your tacos- it’s the gulf FFS. Season them, and season your cabbage- make a slaw- get some texture and acidity going. Server- however attentive and polite- brought me the wrong table’s bill- there were three tables occupied in the whole place and I was the only person dining alone so I’m not sure how that one got confused. Oh well, plenty of other restaurants to go to. Maybe I’m biased because I’m in the industry.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing tortilla chips, salsa and mango habanaro sauce! Marcus was our bartender and server. He was very friendly had a good conversation it was the best we have had on this trip! Highly recommend this restaurant we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place. I order fajitas at every Mexican restaurant and these are at the top of my list! Amazing flavor!! Huge portions as well. My only complaint would be the corn tortillas could have been heated just a bit more, as they were a little dry and fell apart easier.

The service and atmosphere made this a 5 star lunch or dinner destination. Beautiful exposed wood beams and wagon wheel chandeliers greet you upon entry. Service was incredibly quick. To drink, I started with a spicy margarita in 20oz form. I loved that this was not a margarita that drowned out the taste of agave with overly sweet mixers - though I would call it "mild" vs spicy. I would definitely order this drink again. They also had 85oz margarita towers on the menu - something I've never seen before. We ordered a guacamole appetizer when we ordered the main course, thinking it would take a while for our food but were surprised when everything arrived less than 10 minutes later! The guacamole was solid. For our main course, we both opted for the carne asada, in taco and fajita form. The fajitas were HUGE, accompanied by rice, refried beans, lettuce, Pico, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, and 4 good sized flour tortillas. Thankfully, they tasted as good as they looked. Finally, for dessert, we opted for the churros and chocolate dipping sauce. Another solid choice that came with 6 pieces - more than enough for a couple with a sweet tooth. Our server, Lisa, was quick, offered great suggestions, and was incredibly friendly. If you visit the island, be sure to check out this relatively new cantina!

We ate there for the first time. It was absolutely delicious. Very good chips and salsa too. We’re back for the 4th time. We drive in from Bonita Springs. Worth every mile. The best.

Loved this place so much we went there twice on our short vacation! Huge restaurant with great, shady seats outside as well. The music was awesome and the food was, too. We even ordered a super-secret, super-tasty off-menu heuvos rancheros (only on the weekend). Highly recommend!

Total knockoff of 400 rabbits except the food was much better before. I'm sad for landlord. They gave up on 400 after the hurricane.

Friendly service, beautiful building, and fantastic food. Stopped at the place on a whim and was not disappointed. Ask for the house hot sauce..very yummy with a bit of a kick.

This place is a must do when you are on Sanibel Island. The food, drinks and service were all great and the prices are reasonable. We are definitely going back again the next time that we visit.

Average price for the area. Good food, quality of food is good. Staff is friendly. Good portion size. Totally get the cinnamon, apples, and ice cream dessert, it's worth going there just for that, it's amazing! I would recommend and go back myself.

Chips were meh. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce. Guacamole tasted like it was just mashed avocado. We asked for hot sauce and got a dish of pepper sauce which helped kick up the salsa. For some reason, the refried beans and rice tasted phenomenal. The fajitas were good with all the fixings. Other than waiting with several other people for more than 10 minutes at the host desk before someone bothered to take care of all of us, the service was excellent.

Honestly had some of the worst service of my life (a long time), and I've eaten out all over the country. From the time we came in, we were totally ignored - by at least 10 staff - for easily 15-20 minutes, including the "hostess" coming to the front station, standing inches away with her back to us and never speaking to us, then she left again. She was anything but happy to have a job and barely spoke when she finally got us seated. Then we waited another 10-15 minutes or better for anyone to acknowledge us, including 4 other tables having servers before us. Never got water (only drink we asked for) until I flagged down a random guy, then it didn't come until after our food - the only thing that came to the table quickly. The food is mediocre. I suggest carry-out to avoid expectations of service.

Excellent food! The chips and salsa are so good! Love the thin chips I got a chimichanga which was fantastic and husband got the chicken fajitas which was super flavorful and huge. Definitely recommend.

I am not a big Mexican food lover. But this place serves the most delicious I have ever had. The parking lot speaks volumes for how popular this place must be but there is ample space and tables inside. I had shrimp quesadela and the very best guacamole which is more than enough for one. The mariachi band sings at everyone's table and sang me happy birthday. It's a happy dining experience for all. Great frozen strawberry magurrita.

First time at Rosalita’s. Atmosphere was beautiful. Food was good. Slightly salty on certain dishes. Downside to it was my experience with Heather—our waitress. Condescending from the minute we sat down. embarrassed me in front of my entire party because I was inquiring about a side with my entree. Not necessary to treat customers that way. Her tone and response could’ve been avoided and reciprocated differently.

I never write bad reviews, and I really enjoyed the first few times I went here, HOWEVER, I have to rate the food 1 star because the last time I went (and the last time I will ever go) my dish smelled funky and I felt sick afterwards. I thought maybe it was in my head or it wasn't the food, but my friend who ordered something completely different from mine also felt sick after our meal. I've been talking to other people on the island and have found numerous of the same stories, that they initially enjoyed the food, but got food poisoning at some point and now stay away. Thought I'd warn people since it's one of the few places open on the island. The prices are also very high, but that's Sanibel. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is fun with the live mariachi band, but again I felt I had to warn my fellow island workers/residents of the food sickness many of us have experienced here.

My shrimp fajitas were ok, but nothing great. The shrimp were cooked just right, but there were only a few shrimp, 5 tortillas, and a ton of onion and peppers. The rice and beans were warm but not hot. The chips were great, but the salsa was not so great. The guacamole was fantastic! The waitstaff was attentive and fairly quick, and the place was clean. I would go back, but I would have something other than fajitas.

Authentic Mexican food. Professional service and cocktails. Eat here and you will be satisfied. Yes all the way. Lovely scented salt in the restroom!

Get the chicken fajitas, the rest stay away from. The servers are not the issue

Today was probably my third visit to this place. We came promptly at 11 for lunch. We've also came in on Sunday for brunch which was perfection! Everything we've had so far has been great! The cornbread, rice, and beans that come with the lunch special are fantastic. I love the fact that they have tinga chicken on the menu. It's a thing that's hard to find! The cheese dip (Chile con queso) is way better than cheese dip at most places. The brunch chicken and waffles comes with a pimento cheese and some kind of avocado sauce that is amazing! The cornbread waffle and if you take the syrup and drizzle it over the chicken it makes my favorite chicken and waffles I've probably ever had. The lunch special tamales, specifically the Yucatan chicken is pretty good. I love probably everything we've ordered that hasn't wound up with cilantro. The drinks by the way taste absolutely amazing! We got a frozen margarita once and it went down like water. I don't know where mine disappeared to! Heather is a great server that we ask for each visit now and we've also gotten the gentleman who's name I never caught once(today) I hope no one takes offense to this but he looks like a maybe Cuban Tony Stark. He's very fast! The one "ick" I have with the place is that they do not disclose which items on the menu have cilantro in them. Cilantro is an allergy which effects around 8-13% of the population. Many people who are allergic just think they "don't like" Mexican food because it's too hard to find the tiny leaves and isolate that as the part you don't like. The chipotle chicken tamale had a soap taste along with the starter salsa. I asked about the guacamole and yes that has it in there also.

House margaritas were great. Bar service was great. Only complaint...very little pico de gallo and sour cream came with the quesadilla. The quesadilla itself was excellent

Rosaritas has very good food. We enjoyed the chips and salsa to begin dinner. The chips are this so they don’t destroy your appetite for the main course. The dinners include tasty rice and refried beans. Our waitress was cordial and efficient. Our problem was with the hostess. We asked for a booth. She explained two other groups had just been seated in booths and so we might have to wait longer to be served. We said that was ok as we weren’t in a hurry. This seemed to set her off. She stomped to the booth with a disgusted look and threw down the menus. This was anything but professional. It was not crowded as it was before five pm.

Food wasnt particularly flavorful, I got the enchiladas. Four people eating, one had the stuffed nachos, the sizzling fajitas, and the quesadilla. No one rated their food above a 5/10. The chips and salsa was good at the beginning. It's really expensive 🫰. I don't wanna pay too much attention to the service, but it wasn't good.

Great atmosphere, food, & staff with the exception of the hostess, Ashley. Our server, also named Ashley, did an amazing job & was a very hard worker. We were only disappointed with the hostess and her rude attitude when we questioned when we would be seated, which she turned and threw the menus on a table saying “I can seat you now” at a table that had been open the entire time we had been waiting.

It's a fine establishment, and probably one of the cheaper options for decent food on the island, but I wasn't particularly satisfied with the food here. The staff were vibrant and great, and the drinks were served (and checked in on) quickly enough, but the food itself, especially the entrees were pretty average. The fajitas lacked any zing or spiced flair, and the veggies that came on hot cast iron pan were undercooked enough that the pan cooled quickly and water accumulated semi-boiling the veggies and protein rather than searing/carmelizing them.

The Best!!! My wife and I love eating at causal Mexican restaurants and have eaten at many over the years. Rosalita’s was hands down the best one we have ever eaten at. Like most places, they bring you complimentary chips and salsa. Rosalita’s was my favorite, light crispy, and fried with delicious salsa. We ordered the fajitas which we always share at Mexican restaurants. Rosalita’s again surprised us. Thinly sliced meet and lots of peppers and caramelized unions made it stand out. The service was fantastic and even the manager Marc came by twice to welcome us and get us anything we needed. Highly recommend!!

This place is the Mexican we've been searching for! Chips and salsa are always a quick yardstick and they were top notch. Good prices, great food

The bacon wrapped sausage appetizer is off the charts. Our orders of beef fajitas and beef enchiladas were delicious. The portions are large and the service attentive. The margarita and white sangria are refreshing.

OUTSTANDING!- a “must go” for Sanibel. -and this from a person who “doesn’t really like Mexican food”! My husband loves it - and now I do TOO! Chicken fajitas amazing and huge portion. Accompanying FRESH guacamole, pico de gallo, refried beans, rice & SO DELICIOUS- (and I thought I didn’t like rice n beans!!) And OMG!- the masita (sweet corn cake)= LIKE DESSERT (swoon!) even the thin crisp chips and salsa were incredible. Alex our server fast, friendly, sociable and fun. Great outside eating also. FANTASTIC PLACE!
