Love coming to Panama City and going to Po Folks

A must stop for any who pass. The chicken and dumplings were fantastic. Love the southern charm!

Food is always good service is excellent never had a problem if you need coffee or water to go you can get it no problem we go there often

Asked for extra cocktails sauce waitress never came back, got refill on tea at the end of the meal , restaurant not busy at 3 pm

we had a great dining experience at this restaurant. the quality of the food and service was some of the best i have received in the Panama city area. the staff is very knowledgeable of the menu and was willing to accommodate different requests and substitutions. i enjoyed the whitefish fillet dinner, and there was enough leftover that i took it home and made a second meal out of it. the prices are very fair as well; my party of two dined for just under $30, and you really can't beat that these days. this is a great PoFolks!

Finally found a good, real good restraunt here in Lynn Haven. This location in Lynn Haven was my dad's favorite. My thanks to the manager and kitchen staff. jm

Accurate order and ready when we got there! White fish was yummy! A lot of cars in the parking lot but plenty of room. They give a military discount which helps on the cost. Two-piece white fish fried okra and green beans and of course the biscuit butter and syrup! They have the best syrup for the biscuit!

Food: I know we are already setting bar fairly low in the first place, but the food today was horrible. Cold grease, over used frying grease, beef tasted like it was rotten, quality a cheap sams club brand meat, not even the right items. Even if I didn't mention the food I would still wth. The front lobby and the bathroom area air was saturated with the smell of sewage. I made the mistake n went to the bathroom and it was horrific in such a small area. I don't know what's going on but someone has definitely let this little place fall to wayside. Managers/owners need to shut it down for a week and seriously do a massive deep clean paint or bulldoz.

Had the shrimp basket w fries and the shrimp was cooked perfectly my friend had the beef tips tried them so tender. Our service coundnt have been better. Took the super salad home for dinner was awesome

Super, great and if you get Liz as a waitress you will be blessed.

This place was a little quirky but I liked it. I started off with “Fried Green T’maters” and as a main, I got the “Kuntry Cookin’ Combo” which I chose “Kuntry fried steak” accompanied by chicken gizzards with fries and Mac n cheese as sides and it came with 2 hush puppies. I found the combo to be a seriously good value. I enjoyed everything and have no complaints about food. I would definitely recommend!

The food is great for the style it is. Not as tasty as Granny can do, but it is filling and comforting. Very very reasonable prices. They were able to kindly accommodate a party of 18 and was able to get out food out in a quick time.

Chicken was great took 45 minutes to get it

Since we frequent the Pensacola restaurant we thought we’d try out this location. One thing I can say, the taste is consistent! I had the fried pork chop, fried chicken with black eye peas and cabbage. And if course I had to have the biscuit with strawberry jam. The young ladies were very friendly.

Ordered a pork chop with baked potato and okra. Food was decent but the pork chop was a little over cooked but edible. the baked potato and okra was really good. the server was nice and the wait wasn't too after I placed my order.

Hadn't been to this location is quite some time. I ordered the 2 meats and veg. I got the country fried steak, blackened pork chop, potatoe salad, okra, and a biscuit. Everything was wonderful. I grew up poor and when I was young my mom always made me save my buiscit for last. To this day i still do it and cover that Thang with honey. I walked out fat and happy.

Service and food was really good. The place could use a good thorough cleaning. I know it's supposed to be "Po", but being clean is important. Air vents covered in deep dust.

PoFolks is always good for some nice country cooking. Food is pretty good with a wide variety of choice. Staff were polite and attentive and the price is good for the portions you get.

Came in 30mins. before closing. We expressed that we didn't want to keep them late.She smirked "it's not like we have somewhere to be ".The urgency to clean up and close was obvious.I would rather have gone somewhere else.

We arrived between 1:30- 2:00pm. Restaurant wasn’t real busy but we waited quite a while for our filet of fish meal. When server came to check on us, I told him my food was barely more than room temp, as though it had sat in the kitchen for a while before I got it. Server said he was busy and left it too long before serving. I don’t go to this restaurant often because food’s ok, but not great.

Food & service so good I wish I could move the restaurant to Texas!! My mom & I stopped on our way from the airport. Our server Alisha took great care of us and the food and portions were so good I wish we had room for seconds!

Found this great place on vacation. Awesome food, cool building they redone from a old house. Would definitely go back, if they wasn't so far from the hotel we would have ate there again for sure.

Fast, tasty, value with quality, and high levels of service. Worth seeking out for great country eats.

Great home-cooked food. The service was top notch. I remember eating at Po Folks in the 80's. The quality of food hasn't changed one bit. It's unprecedented for a restaurant to maintain that kind of food quality for over 40 years. If you want a home-cooked meal and want generous portions look no further than Po Folks.

The food and atmosphere are what you expect it to be. Your grandmother's home cooking - if your grandmother cooked everything from cans and frozen bags. GREAT wait staff. Very punctual and attentive.

Po Folks has some of the best southern style home cooking around. The fried green tomatoes and chicken and dumplings are must trys.

This restaurant is more down home and casual, clean and inviting. They offer Southern home-style food that is well-prepared, tasty (comfort food). My friend loves the whole catfish and I enjoy the chicken fried steak or grilled/country fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and white gravy. Great coleslaw, greens, and red beans and rice! Tempted to try their liver and onions. The staff is always friendly and provide excellent service. I live in Graceville, Florida and visit Panama City monthly. Po' Folks is always our/my first choice for a reasonably priced meal.

Very disappointed with the chicken and dumplings 😕 and the place needs an update

We ate lunch around noon. There were a few people but not crazy busy. We were seated and had our server right away. The hamburger steak and chicken tenders were great!

Po Folks in Lynn Haven used to serve the very best fried chicken. It was fresh, piping hot right out of the fryer. On my recent visit, I ordered a 4 piece chicken dinner. The chicken was tough and dry. It must have suffered several hours under a heat lamp. We will not return

We were lucky to find this place. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a second time. Friendly, fast service. Very good food at a fair price. Don't skip the fried chicken and sweet tea.

The food was delicious along with the great customer service. Our food arrived promptly and was hot. Value for the food was very good. Our server checked on us regularly and made sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

They put a bunch of uncooked/hard rice in my liver& onions, was like ok, I’ll just pick them out it’s fine. Very strange however, then after I paid and was walking to the car I see confederate flags on the staff vehicles behind the restaurant, made me uncomfortable when I realized the rice thing may have been intentional if you know what I mean. Very bizarre but that was my experience that I had.

Waitress was slow to first appear but made up for it. I had excellent grilled whitefish and my wife said the fried chicken was outstanding. Good portions, very good value prices.

The food is good stuff but the wait was a bit too long.

I wasn't real pleased with what I ordered (crab cakes, coleslaw, potatoe salad, hush puppies). It didn't have the crave effect. Palatable, yes. However, my daughters enjoyed thier fried chicken dinner, mashed potatoes, and baked apples. Our service was very good and the atmosphere was wonderful. I will be returning again when I come back to this area and try another dish.

The wife and I love Po Folks! Kinda like Cracker Barrel, but better! The whole shebang salad and the chicken and dumplings are a must! Not to mention their sweet tea! Never disappointed when we go!

My husband and I both ordered the beef tips meal. We both thought that it was the best we have ever had. I also got the breadstick, which was also delicious.

We came in 12 minutes before close, and they took care of us. Everyone was so nice, food was delicious. I enjoyed the country fried steak and baked apples. I'm so glad we made it in time. Slight musty smell. It didn't really feel clean because of the smell but we were really hungry!

Food is bland and hasn't changed so if you like the same you'll like the food.

1. Fried catfish not fully cooked, partly raw. 2. Chicken liver not fully cooked, raw and bloody. 3. Service slow. Requested hot sauce, but the waitress never bring hotsauce, never check the table. Overall experience very disappointed! Not coming back.

After posting my review yesterday the manager replied and asked me to call the manager on duty so they could make it right and they definitely did. Thank you Paul Snow the area manager and Skylar the Manager on Duty for fixing my chicken and dumplings meal. It was everything I had been wanting all week when I was sick, definitely glad they were kind enough to fix this. Thank you again Lynn haven Pofolks we will be back

Ordered take out. Last two times fries were hard. This time chuck was real small pcs and breast was so tough could not eat. $45 wasted. We have ordered from here a long time but will find some other place. Very disappointed

Overall it was a good meal. Service was great and the resurrect was clean. They were out of soda today and I did not care for the greens i had, but the can be tricky. I will definitely go back!

The food was crazy good. I moved to Atlanta, and forgot about the real world. Chuck steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and bread stick. All of it was excellent. My mom had chicken and dumplings -- Really good. But, the price was amazing. My whole dinner plus the Mississippi mudslide pie was less than a burger at home Did I mention the Mississippi mud pie-dang..

Waitress named Angie was great and even brought me a replacement side after hair found in my food I still enjoyed and will return 👍👍

Arrived at 11:35 AM, on September 16, 2023, seated at 11:40AM, ordered by 11:45. Still didn’t have our order at 12:20 PM. Waitress never acknowledged us after the order was placed or informed us of the reason it was taking so long. Informed the hostess we were leaving and watched the waitress see us go without a word. After this we have no reason to return.
