Food was good, bf loved it. Service was really bad, we were seated and then ignored for about 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Other tables seated after us got service way ahead of us. They definitely ignore you if you’re not a local/regular customer lol so wasn’t crazy about that.

The first time we went here, almost 2 years ago, it was amazing! The food was great and the service was amazing. We've gone two more times since then and it seems like everything is slipping. The last time we went in our waitress brought us our drinks then rushed us to pick something to eat, she brought over the food but never refilled our drinks. We had to ask multiple times for condiments. We had to ask another waitress to refill our drinks and get us to go boxes because our waitress was sitting at the bar reading a magazine and ignoring us trying to get her attention. The food is decently priced and has decent portions, but the quality has slipped a little bit too. It's a decent family diner, but I don't think we'll be going back again after our last experience with everything.

Ordered a Prime Rib Sandwich Med Rare @ Pettibone. I got overcooked deli meat on a soggy bun that they tried to make look like a Philly Cheesesteak. For a $20 sandwich…pathetic.

The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. The service can be really good or not so much depending on who you get. As a newbie to Okeechobee I liked it a lot until I found out that they charged more for using a card. Now they go on my do not enter list.

My grandson enjoyed the food and the people are wonderful.

Our waitress was a little snippy as we entered and she walked away to our table and we weren't sure whether to follow her or not. When we said we didn't know whether to follow you, she said well duh.

I haven't been to Pogey's in years because the last time I went, it was horrible. I decided to finally go back and give it a try. First off, if you're about to seat someone, tell them. How am I supposed to know it's my turn if you don't say anything. For a waitress to mumble under her breathe, "it's common sense," is extremely rude. I will never return. This town is too small to be acting like that in a small restaurant. I hope whatever your name is, you realize how rude you were. You never know who someone is, what they're going through, their mindset etc. You should be a little nicer to people. I will never give this restaurant another chance. Management/owners most likely won't be affected by losing a customer. Word of mouth goes far in this town. I will not spend my money in an establishment where off the bat I was treated like garbage.

Food was average. Service was disappointing. Server seemed to just not care. First time here and wanted to try it. Restaurant has good reviews so we will try it another time to see.

Probably the worst sausage gravy I have tasted in some time and why is it people think deep fried square cut potatoes are home fries. He fri snare cooked on the grill sometimes with onions and or green peppers... If I wanted deep fried potatoes I would have asked for fries. Might try you again for lunch, but not breakfast. I left over 1/2 of my breakfast because it was unappealing.

Omg after a 1 week long kayak trip, this was the first meal back in “civilization” and what a place to find. Food was phenomenal and service was prompt. The place was packed, but yet there wasn’t a wait just steady chumming. Taco omelette was perfect

I love coming here but this time the waitress was not good. Very talkative to all of her customers but me. Never asked if everything was alright and never refilled my coffee. She filled everyone but mine.i am not racist but I will refuse for her to ever wait on me again. I was a waitress for 38 years and always treated my customers with the best service I could give them.

WOW... AMAZING family friendly restaurant with excellent quality of food and A1 SERVICE Amazing!!!!!! Will go back again soon. I got the shallava breakfast and pancakes. It was shella good. Just a quick update went back again for and oh my goodness we got the taco salad and a HUGE burger. Wow absolutely amazing. And as always the service is the best!! NEVER A DISAPPOINTMENT!

A family feel to this place. Definitely go back and try something else from the menu! I had huge helping of pancakes while hubby had chicken fried steak breakfast with the best hash browns he's ever eaten. Eggs were cooked perfect!

We have had bad experiences the last three times we came here. Several servers are very busy behind the counter, but we wait up to 10 minutes after being seated for our first contact with our server. Too much emphasis on carryout, seated customers are shorted.

Love this place for home style food at very reasonable price. Great breakfasts, also has small senior menu. Friendly staff. We are regulars here.

We came because of a review. Said the best fried chicken ever. Not. It was fried boneless chicken breasts. I had a Reuben sandwich. Ate less than half of it. Yuk!

This place is small time country family resturant perfection. The food rocks and the pepole are genuine. My wife and I have driven from Ft. Lauderdale just to have breakfast there.

Awesome breakfast! It's hard to find a place that knows how to make three over medium and do it right. The home fries and toast were great and the sweet tea will keep you coming back.

Great food, friendly service and some of the best sweet tea around! Chicken fried steak sandwiches were awesome and their new fries are to die for. Cooked perfectly. They look like a steak fry and curly fry had a baby. Thick and curly, yummy 😋

I thought the Breakfast food was delicious. However, the Eggs Benedict needed hollindale sauce, not sausage gravy. Will be back :)

A rating on 10!!!  Clean establishment, friendly helpful staff from greeting to beyond getting the check with great easy conversation, food was so large and delicious forgot to take pictures (sorry).  A gotta stop here place! We decided to have a late breakfast at a locally owned restaurant.  Looked on line in Okeechobee and found lots to choose from, however this one had all the options we needed as some of us wanted a breakfast and others wanted a lunch. We were quickly greeted when we entered by a friendly lady with a grand smile and helped us find a booth.  Our experienced waitress, Beatrice (I think is her name) took our beverage orders while explaining some of the menu options.  She returned quickly and took our orders, one of which has a very totally customized  sandwich which was taken without any hesitation.... AND the chief (not just a cook from all the great food preparation seen and tasted) cooked and prepared our orders to perfection AND QUICKLY! During our enjoying our meal, we spilled a whole glass of water on the table.  Our waitress rushed over and without making any of us feel stupid, she cleaned up our mess with a smile and also mopped up the water on the floor so no one would slip. 100% totally recommend you and your family should drop by and enjoy some great hospitality with happy smiling faces serving up so real good tasting and large servings of food cooked to perfection, which was so good this writer forgot to take pictures. Lol

All the locals go to Pogey's. That's how we discovered it. A few years ago we were visiting Okeechobee for the first time looking for a restaurant with alot of cars out front. What a great discovery. Great food, great service at a friendly local restaurant.

Pogeys is THE breakfast spot in Okeechobee. Pogeys Benedict is number one. The toad is number two. The pork tenderloin sandwich is number three. Go in and start with a frosty glass of chocolate milk. Go from there. Bon appetit!

The service was excellent. I left a 25% gratuity. The New York strip was cooked perfectly. It was priced well too at $16.95.

Googled "tater tots near me" and ended up here. I got the hangover with cheddar instead of American cheese and it was wonderful. So were the tater tots.

I have been going here for years local gun show at the KOA.. I am usually the first one in the building when they open. So saturday with four friends I said what's meet there. Enjoy a meal that I know is good for breakfast start the day right. Help at the counter one particular woman was just not very attentive by any means. Excellent grits... sweet tea 👍 The pork chops that I order regularly that place only are completely different no more bone in bit dry. she also let my BLT sit on the counter for nearly 10 minutes now its soggy.. Getting a coffee refill one time impossible. However I did buy a great shirt hanging in the window

We went for breakfast it was our first time coming. Service was impeccable food was delicious and we didn't wait long at all for. You pay at the register. Free parking on site. Has souvenirs you can buy that are for the restaurant that are very nice.
