Stopped by during a work trip and it did not disappoint! Excellent customer service and food. If you're on a work trip and can only visit once, order as many varieties of items as possible. I missed out this time and need to wait for my next business trip. That said, the chimichanga, chicken, and cilantro rice were superb. Renee, the co-owner with his spouse, explained how everything is cooked to order. They have an uncomplicated core menu and no matter what you choose, it will be great!

Some of THE BEST food in ABQ. I wish the ají sauce was available to purchase, because I want to put it on everything. Chicken stuffed potatoes are amazing, but the yucca fries are my favorite. You *need* to eat them!

Excellent food. Waiter a little pushy about their closing hour, even though I was here before that ordered before he said it. Anyway, food is excellent unique for me. Nice spices. Ordered number six to try both the chicken and the chicken stuffed potato. Great! I will be back just wish they were open more hours .

Pollo Saltado is marvelous, am always happy when we get here for lunch on Saturdays. Not open for dinner or on Sunday.

My god... my wife and I are from Miami, and this place has the BEST peruvian food we have ever had ! What a hidden gem ! Amazing, and the owners are always there, hands on, and friendly.

This was our first time to eat at this restaurant. I ordered the number 10 (chicken with peppers and onions) and it was fantastic. The green sauce on the table was really good, too. Next time I'll pay more attention to the names of things🥴🥴🥴🥴. There is ample parking and I noticed a lot of uniformed staff from the base eating here.

I past by this place and remembered how good Peruvian lamb was and decided to take a chance. I am so glad I did. The lamb was cooked to perfection and it came with rice and beans, the sauce pulled it all together and the explosion of flavors and the tender lamb was amazing!! They only cook the lamb on the Saturday so you better call ahead, and they close on Sunday because they cater to the Air Force base during the week. The staff is very engaging and friendly and the prices are reasonable. While I waited for my order to go I ordered the stuffed chicken potato and chicken empanada appetizer, they brought out a green sauce and pickled onion condiments… again the flavor and combination of taste was on point!

Unassuming gem in the southeast near the Air Force Base and VA hospital. The flavor and spice combinations are like nothing you've ever had and they are amazing! You MUST try it to experience what my words defy. You must get there early because a line forms at lunch time. You will thank me later.

Very good Peruvian chicken and fries. The chicken was piping hot and smoky like it had just come off the grill. Everything seasoned well. Did the Family Dinner to go and it was ready real quick. Lady who attended me was super sweet. Definitely going to be my go to for family dinners when I jist don't feel like cooking.

I love coming here whenever I'm in the area. I'm a sucker for the Yucca fries and the cilantro cream sauce... So good! The chicken is delicious and the salad had a tasty ginger sauce. Coconut flan is amazing. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

This place gets busy around lunch time, so I would show up a little earlier or later. The food is good with the right amount of spiciness and seasoning. Oh, and the wait times are super short. Less than 5 minutes after ordering. The menu is simple and no-frills. Would recommend for lunch.

Arguably the best place to grab lunch for some delicious food. Their aji rice is unbelievably good with their salsa. I could eat the rice on its own anyway and you mix that with their chicken or fries, to die for. It gets relatively busy during so just make sure you know what you want to order ahead of time for a more easy experience. Even then, the food is worth waiting for.

Good service. The food was delicious. I liked the chicken stuffed potatoes the best. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because I got a bone in my chimichanga. But that won’t keep me from going back

This isn't the most varied menu, bur what they do, they do exceptionally well. Yuca fries are a great starter and their aji sauce is my new favorite condiment. The #10 Peruvian stir fry is sooooooo flavorful! And don't leave without getting one of their Guava empanadas. Everything was mad fresh, and I could taste the difference. Owner and waitstaff are friendly and helpful. Full dining room and all customers really seemed to be enjoying themselves. Lively, authentic Peruvian music coming over the speakers, but not too loud. The place has a real upbeat, even festive atmosphere. A great all around experience. They only do lunch (11 - 3 Mon-Sat), so plan accordingly.

You really need to try the stuffed potatoes and the chimichangas. The sauce is amazing. Casual atmosphere.

My issue here is not the service or the people but the food and the price. I had 2 pieces of chicken and rice and water for $15👀😲💰. The chicken was tough to eat. Overcooked and dry thigh meat. The rice and the sauce was good but the price was really bad. To make the chicken bearable I doused it with cilantro sauce. I have never had Peruvian food but this can't be it.

First time eating here - the food was good and moderately priced. Service was excellent, and staff friendly. Was a little busy, but that is expected for lunch.

Monica and Rene are wonderful hosts. Although menu is limited in selections,, food is excellent, served hot, staff and atmosphere welcoming, a lot of military personnel frequent this restaurant. We got as often as possible.

My coworkers and I, experienced our first time at Pillito con Papas and it was Amazing! Owner's were welcoming. They treated us with so much love and care. As you can see the love they have for each other, as he shared their journey and culture with us. Made us laugh, took his time to explain and shared food favorites off of their menu, gave us a taste of an amazing dessert, shared a special first time gift. Hats off to his lovely wife, what amazing food she has prepared for us to enjoy and the sauce, Amazing!!! If you haven't tried it, you will love it!! If you're picking like me, no worries it's going to be amazing and you'll have an amazing experience.

This is the best Peruvian food I have tasted. The owner of the restaurant came by our table to ask if we were happy and satisfied and to explain how the food was made. Great restaurant with even better people.

DELICIOUS chicken! Their green sauce is the perfect compliment to the chicken. I was a little wary of the marinated onions but they were terrific too! The owners are very nice and I love all the football(soccer) regalia throughout the restaurant. A++

Chicken with potatoes. They really did master that craft. I got a chimichanga and a stuffed potato from here, and from how it looked I was already impressed, let alone the taste! The chimichanga was fried PERFECTLY with the right amount of crisp and packed to the brim with chicken. The chicken itself was juicy, well seasoned, and just delicious. It is safe to say it's very high up on my list of quality chimichangas. The stuffed potato was also fried PERFECTLY! It was creamy and soft with a crispy, flaky crust containing some bite back! Again, the chicken inside it was also of high quality. A McDonalds hashbrown is always going to be at least solid in quality, but that potato was AT LEAST 10 TIMES BETTER! Even though they were deep fried, neither the chimichanga nor the potato were excessively greasy. However, the icing on the cake was their aji sauce. This mayo-based sauce with aji amarillo chili and a hint of mint might have some crack with a dab o' doobage inside because it was straight 🔥! It's that good! I must have downed a quarter of a whole bottle while adding it to both the potato and chimichanga. I am not ashamed of that. And I got all this for about $13. Considering 2022 inflation, that is a bargain! Well done! Overall, their mascot is a great metaphorical representation of the food as it sits on the plate and stares at you. It is ready to punch your tastebuds with a chicken delight! After having a couple short conversations with the owner it is clear that he is critical of the food that comes out the pass, yet excited and passionate about it. These are both excellent qualities in a restaurant owner. I will be back semi-regularly for more!

Great place for lunch. Small but delicious menu. I ordered the #6 - grilled chicken thigh and chicken stuffed potato. The stuffed and fried potato is unique with a light breading. Served with pickled onions and a chile based sauce. The staff is friendly and willing to answer any question you may have. Fast service and a popular lunch spot. Highly recommend!!

This place is definitely a hidden GEM! The staff are very polite, and welcoming with a nice local atmosphere. The chicken empanada and stuffed potato with chicken along with cilantro rice was absolutely AMAZING!! I followed that up with their flan which is simply delicious! It's made daily! If you're on Gibson by Kirtland AFB or the VA hospital this is a MUST try!

Mr. and Mrs. Coronado are the best & so are every one of their staff. They go above and beyond with their customer service. Their food is superb and you just have to try it for yourself. This is now my all time favorite restaurant in the city of Albuquerque. I visited their restaurant twice today and that is how good it is. Please try the food here. You will not be disappointed. TLT =)

The food here is always very fresh and delicious. The customer service is always top notch and they make you feel like family.

Went during the weekend for lunch. Was able to find a table when we arrived. Busy but not too busy. Service was good. Really enjoyed the food. Without the aji pepper sauce some things come off as dry and/or bland. With sauce it's very good. Tried the purple chicha drink. It's very sweet, best shared with others in small portions. Overall very good.

La mesera muy amable, decorado con fotos y banderas peruanas, pero nada de comida peruana, pollo con papas se come en cualquier parte, poca variedad de menús,lo único peruano q había en el menú fue La inca kola.no es un lugar q recomendaría.
