Best BBQ Eva! Ray Bros. is the jewel in upstate NY. They nail all the boxes for a restaurant, but the food is insanely good. If you haven't yet been I highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious food. The apple cider BBQ sauce was phenomenal 😋 the portions were huge. First time in YEARS I left with left over and a overstuffed stomach. Would 100% recommend to everyone I know and have!

Best BBQ I've had. I lived in Alabama for four years and Virginia for four also. My girlfriend is from Tennessee. We agree hands down THE BEST BBQ. also an awesome place to see live music! Inside or outside. Can't say enough good things. Just go !

We stop by Ray's a couple times a year. Whether It be the antique show or on my way to camp, Ray's Bros BBQ is always a stop on the way. We are always seated promptly, and even when this place is hopping the service is good. Food is absolutely fantastic. I haven't had a bad dish to date and the sides are amazing too. I love the cucumber salad and the potato salad. You really can't go wrong here! I highly recommend you give it a try.

Smoked brisket is only available on Saturdays after 4. Worth every penny and any wait time. Best BBQ in NY and probably the northern US. I've traveled around the whole country, and this BBQ is at least in my top 3, if not number 1. I'd be willing to put RBQ up to the best BBQ restaurant in the world. It's worth at least a shot at that title.

This review is specifically for Ray's off-site event catering! We had Ray's cater our welcome dinner the night before our wedding. Their team was prompt, the food was perfectly cooked and delicious as always, the staff friendly and accommodating, and the process seamless and reasonably priced. Our guest were mostly from out of town--they all raved about it! Highly recommend for your next event!

Best BBQ in NY, and frankly some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. These guys do it right. We come regularly and the service, music, and food are always great.

The food was great and the service was amazing. Believe it or not, the smoked veggie burger may be the best veggie burger you've ever had.

These people treat everyone like you've been a friend or family member forever! It is a very, relaxed yet stimulating atmosphere....as far as the food goes? Well. Not so spoil the ending...you won't leave hungry...best to just come see for yourself!

Living about a hour away and with our schedules it's hard to get away for a night out, but we finally made it out to Ray Brothers. OMG! It's worth the drive, let me say, everything is homemade and real. We will be back!

By far the best BBQ I have had in NYS. Would recommend a visit

Saturday late afternoon around 5pm (day before mothers day) I call this place & ask if I can place an order for take out in advance for the next day/Sunday. Girl says no, but we open up at noon tomorrow, call then & we can take care of you, it only takes 15 - 20 minutes to get take out orders done. Sunday arrives, I drive an hour & when I get to cazenovia at 12:30, I stopped to get gas & call this place to place my order as this was my only plans for mothers day. I call first, no answer. 4th time calling someone finally answers. I said I wanted to place an order for takeout & was told they aren't doing take out orders. That would have really been nice to know the day before when I called & asked & before driving over an hour one way! The lack of communication at this place is absolutely horrible!

Always love the food. I always take my mom when I am in town.

Why all the hullabaloo about this place? My ribs were small and unexciting in flavor, the sides were mediocre, and my roughly $25 meal was served on a plastic brown cafeteria tray and warped cheap wood plates. My meal kept tipping about because my plate was so cheap and so warped. Considering the wait time to get seated and the price of the entrees, I was extremely disappointed.

Food was great, service by Krystal was excellent, this was my third time visiting, will go back 4...5... Very Happy!!

A bit of a wait some days but always a good meal. Sulfer water does taint the soda so drink bottled

The only reason why I have this four stars was because I got the pulled pork sandwich but there was some spice and it said no spice on the menu but it could’ve been sauce which was the big Apple one so I don’t know?!

The best bbq I have ever had. Better than Dinosaur or Limp Lizard. No comparison. We had the ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, house salad,the fresh cut fries. Man those were so good. Worth the hour drive

I wanted half a chicken but they had sold out by 6:30pm so, I settled for the half rack of ribs. The ribs had a little bit of crunch which I liked, we're not overcooked and they were absolutely delish. The dirty potato salad was something I never had and was delish. Everything tasted divine!

Not a 4.7 star restaurant. Portions for the money you pay don't add up. 38$ for 3 meat platter definitely not worth it. Was told by people it was really good . It's not food cold meatloaf tasted like hamburg with bbq sauce. . Only thing worth getting is cheesecake. Probably won't be back not worth 130$ i spent

This place is excellent. I have been there a couple of times now and I have tried a few different things. It's all been great. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Was at Xcelerate Sports Complex for my grandsons basketball tournament. The Brown Brothers food truck was there and I had a BBQ Pulled Pork Carolina sandwich. It was just incredible! Undoubtedly the best pulled pork I’ve ever had. The pork, the sauce and the coleslaw combined to make an unbelievably delicious sandwich. I am so glad I met Russ Brown and was able to try his BBQ. I’ll be back!!!!

As someone who has been team dinosaur BBQ for my whole life, well that has changed now that I have been a SUNY Morrisville student for the past 2 years now and I finally got to try it out and man oh man it’s so much better than Dino…100/100 best BBQ in NYS!!!!!

Went there this past Friday and had a great time. Food was excellent; they have a variety of BBQ sauces to choose from. Their ribs were cooked very well and the apple BBQ sauce was on point! The only disappointment was that they only have brisket on Saturdays. Regardless, the food quality and service was great.

More room in the bar area! Hadn't been in awhile, great addition. As always the food is excellent. The BBQ is delicious. Great side choices too! Haven't been when they have music but I understand it's tons of fun!! Edit: Attended Christmas Tree Lighting in the Yard with Madison Central School chorus, and of course the Big Man himself....Santa❣ And donated to Toys for Tots. Had another great dinner with a bunch of wound up kids!! Happy Holidays 🌲🎅🤶⛄❄

First off I am from Florida. I know good BBQ. This is better then almost any BBQ place down south. The ribs litterly fall off the bone. Melt in your mouth. The potatoe salad is the best I have ever had. The Mac and cheese is exactly what you want from a BBQ place. And don't even get me started on the half chickens... I would rate this place 10 stars if I could. Good job!

Not the best BBQ I ever had, but that's a really nice place to eat anyways. The bacon maple cheesecake is to die for and the staff is very nice and the restaurant is cozy and welcoming.

Love the ribs and the pulled pork. Only 20+ mins from Utica. A true gem!

In my humble opinion, this place has the best Bar-B-Q of any place. I'm hooked on the judges chicken and the fall off the bone ribs, not to mention stating the meal with their smoked to perfection wings. I'm getting hungry just typing this.

What amazing BBQ! The place was packed, and now I know why. They have Southern style BBQ and many versions to boot. (NO I am not Canadian) The brisket burger is the bomb, and so is the meatloaf sandwich. You wanna make a trip to this place. Some restaurants are an experience, and others are a Devine destination. Ray Brothers is the latter. I bet you can't go there just once.

Out of this world, by far the best BBQ in New York State. Try their maple bacon cheese cake.

Food was alright. I'm not a meat eater so I got the veggie burger which basically was a very mushy bean burger. French fries were good, cornbread was excellent. Soda was gross (because of their water system?) Root beer was very good, but overpriced for what you get ($5.) My husband liked his food which was some sort of taco. The sauces were excellent. Server was very good. I think the prices are a bit steep for the amount of food you get. There's really not many restaurants in this immediate area so you are limited for dinner options. I personally would not go back because of limited options for me, perhaps if they changed to a Beyond or Impossible Burger, my husband probably would go back.

Great BBQ, friendly staff and they host fun events. Do not miss their RBQ beer brewed for them by a local microbrewery, Good Nature, or their smoked wings. My husband and I will stop there just for a pint of RBQ and an order of wings!! Great BBQ in an unexpected location!!

I can only describe this as “transcendent”. The ribs were astonishingly tender and juicy, the Classic sauce was arguably the best Barbecue sauce I’ve had in years, and the fries were crispy, but were not greasy. Service was great, and for the price the meal was near-perfect.

I did a catering order for 15 people. Ribs, chicken and pulled pork with sides. Food was spectacular!

We didn't get to try there bbq. Apparently after showing up there on a Sunday night we were told they don't do TAKE OUT on the weekend. I still can't find that information on there website. So don't try to eat out take out on the weekend there... Still craving BBQ.

Banging BBQ and an intimate music venue out back. Bring your lawn chairs or belly up to a picnic table for Saturday brisket and the house band. Oh, and grab yourself a margarita, mix made fresh in-house.

We did Ray Brothers catering for 75 people in our backyard and it was fabulous! Everyone was so wonderful to work with and the food was a HIT!! Everything was delicious! Looking forward to hosting another party so we can order again! :)

Ray Brothers BBQ has absolutely blown me away. I have always been skeptical of good BBQ since working in the industry for years. Let me tell you that Ray Brothers is the real deal!! I went in on a Saturday and their special was the Brisket Dinner Platter. Brisket being my favorite, I had to get an order along with a side of the Smoked Baked Beans and the Dirty Potato Salad. The brisket was absolutely outstanding. The bark was thick and crispy, full of flavor. It was the perfect mix of fatty and lean. The fatty cuts just melting away in the mouth while the lean not being overly dried out. Both cuts were perfectly moist. Seriously the best piece of brisket I’ve had since before COVID when I was working in at a BBQ joint. The Smoked Baked Beans were a great balance of smoky, salty, and sweetness which provided the perfect warm accompaniment to the brisket. The Dirty Potato Salad was just as phenomenal with the pieces of chopped egg mixed in while not being overly dressed with mayonnaise. The Cornbread was the perfect morsel of heavenly, fluffy delicate bliss. I got my dessert to go which was the Apple Cake. Let me tell you, the Apple Cake has got to be one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. The cake is soft and fluffy with the perfect amount of moisture from the apple without being wet. The buttery sugary sauce that is poured over it is liquid gold. The best way to end a perfect meal. My only complaint is that I didn’t try this place sooner because Ray Brothers BBQ is authentic, full of flavor, and you can really see the care and the attention to detail that they have for what they are serving. Thank you so much Ray Brothers BBQ, I can’t wait to come back soon!

No takeout on weekends. Also rude hostesses. Say hi to customers lol. We shouldn’t have to make the introduction and have staff not say hi back. So weird.

The food was very good, but selection limited during show to some BBQ items. Very laid back atmosphere. Nice layout for a couple hundred people. If many more would get too crowded.

My wife and I went to rays brother BBQ on Monday and as always the wait is pretty long, but it never bothered me. After an hour passed I walked in and asked the associate how much longer will it be since we brought our new born with us this time and she told us it’ll be a little bit longer. We requested to be seated outside since it can get really loud and stuffing inside the restaurant. After another half an hour our buzzer goes off telling us our table was ready, so you would think. When we got up to the counter she told us they only had inside seats available and that they close in about half hour. I told her we requested the outdoor seats since we had a new born with us. She told us you can wait longer or take the seat inside giving me no choice in the matter. If I waited any longer they would’ve closed and i don’t wanna stay past close to eat since I know how it feels when you’re closing and you have people still eating. We decide to leave after almost 2 hours of waiting in the car with a new born. I can tell you people it’s not worth it. The food is decent don’t get me wrong (except the water they serve) the wait isn’t worth it trust me! They lost my business..

The Best BBQ in central NY, and arguably in all of NY and beyond!!! The smoked chicken wings are unmatched anywhere. This is my most favorite BBQ restaurant ever! The quality is always consistent year after year.

I had my Mother's Day supper here (my first time there) with my son & his family. It was packed already by 4 but we luckily got in quickly~ Everyone enjoyed their meals, myself included, and everything was reasonably priced. Our waitress was great, all us moms were given a flower as well, which was very sweet & appreciated. Very comfortable atmosphere too. I'll be back for sure.

My experience was horrible. I went there with my girlfriend and in a hour and a half we had our appetizer given away and our food was nowhere in sight. In short we waited all that time for a single fountain drink. We not even asked if we wanted a refill.

Excellent place to go for barbecue. The owners are fantastic staff is for every friendly I would recommend you stop at this place. I drive over an hour sometimes barbecue.

I would give this place a 2 star but it's decent food, they made us wait almost an hour to get into the restaurant and the food was very sweet it tasted like they dumped sugur all over the food before they brought it out, however the ribs are very good but everything else is sub-par the service is excellent greet waitresses just the menu is very small.
