Lived in the area for over 21 years and Red Star had remained our favorite Chinese food restaurant the entire time!

WE LOVE ❤️ THIS RESTAURANT. FOOD IS FRESH TASTING & SEASONED PERFECTLY. I ORDER ONLINE & ITS READY REALLY FAST!!

The online appetizer menu says, “Boneless Spare Ribs Served with roast pork fried rice and egg roll.” However, that’s false advertising because no fried rice or egg roll was given with the spare ribs.

Delicious. We got a few different things to try and everything was delicious. We live far away but we will be back! The service was great and the lunch menu had a large selection.

It was ok. Nothing special. Noticed everyone was leaving full plates of food.

Prices were good but the food was not. The service was terrible. The lady at the front was very short and had an attitude. I won't be back.

This places serves really good food, but these people are rude. Cultural differences are no excuse to be like this. Plenty of asian restaurants with pleasant employees and this ain't one of them. Three stars for the food only.

From someone that has eaten many Chinese dishes in Panama City. This one is a good place to come for authentic Chinese food. We tried two dishes. Lunch special Hunan Chicken & House special fried Rice ( with chicken & shrimp) The food was pretty decent.

This is our go to place for Chinese food still. I do have to remember to speak English to them slowly to ensure my order is correct in person or over the phone. I told them we’re on a diet so they were able to accommodate. Orange chicken using steam chicken vegetables instead of rice. I forgot to say stir fry vegetables it would be more flavorful. They make the best egg fooyoung in town. The moth ball smell definitely makes you want to wait outside.

Place is good and food is always fast. No issues at all and it was yummy!

I don't get the people giving this place 4-5 stars. There were no other customers..and our service felt rushed. We let them know it was our first time in, and they still kept coming back and abruptly asking what we wanted. I'd say it's a cultural difference, but it's not..we are from an area with a heavy asian presence, and I guess have been spoiled with good Chinese food. We opted for some egg rolls, chicken in garlic sauce, and egg foo. It was this place or the Chinese buffet, kinda wish we'd done the buffet, and thats saying a lot. Even the soda was off. We gave it a shot, and won't be back. I gave it 2 stars..because the egg foo was the saving grace.

Best Chinese take out we’ve found so far in Panama City-Panama City Beach area over the last few years here. Delicious for the whole family, good price, super fast. Can’t speak much to atmosphere inside, we always get take out.

I had beef and broccoli which was disgusting. The meet was awful, pretty much threw the whole mess in the garbage. Will never ever be back again.

Food is okay. Service sucks. Lady at the fromt is clearly miserable.

Only customer when we arrived but servicer seemed rushed. Did not like dice meat in brown rice. No follow up service.

I ordered an hour ahead of time got there was told my order would just be a few minutes. 30 minutes later they noticed multiple people came and went while I sat there and asked what my order was. IT WAS SITING THERE THE WHOLE TIME. So our food sat..ready for 30 minutes and I commute an hour. First and last time ordering from there.

Food is awesome! Got mine to go, short wait but food was hot and fresh and soooo delicious.

This is one of my favorite places for Chinese takeout.

Food was great. Service was laughable, but it wasn't the fault of the server. She was busy working the register and was swamped with online & walk-in takeout orders. I didn't even realize she was supposed to be our server until after I gave up waiting for a server; we sat at a table for 15 minutes until I just placed an online takeout order because no one showed up to take drink orders or anything. Went to the counter to pay and wait. That's when I saw her take a plated order from the kitchen to the one other person in the dining room, and I realized she was also taking care of the dining room in addition to all the takeout customers. Again, food was great, but either wait until they have a dedicated server for the dining room or simply order takeout. I'll stress this: the dining situation was clearly not her fault. She was just trying to do two separate jobs at once.

I live on the beach and I'm not happy with my Chinese restaurant choices. I just want to start off that this Chinese food IS worth the 25 minute drive. We walked in around 5:45 pm on a Saturday. Take out was packed. There were 2 tables sat in the dining area. I'm pretty sure only 2 people were working. My friend and I decided to stay even though we knew it would be a wait. It took a while for the server to take our order, but we weren't mad. We started off with the hot and sour soup and egg Drop Soup. They were OK. The wonton for the soup were amazing. Then we got the 4 items for $26.99 (what a great deal) and we got the cheese Wonton, shrimp fried rice, general tsos chicken, and Mongolian beef. Let me just say this was the best Mongolian beef I've ever had! It's better than PF Changs. The steak was so tender and delicious. The general tsos chicken was real chicken. Not that grey nasty chicken. There was a lot of flavorful sauce. The shrimp fried rice was packed with shrimp, which I wasn't expecting. And the cheese Wontons were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the dipping sauce. We also got 2 orders of egg Rolls. I wasn't a fan but I'm very picky because I make my own egg Rolls. My friend liked them. And we got the Chinese donuts that were on point. We had 2 drinks as well, a rootbeer and a lemonade and we got everything for $50, $60 with tip. Next time I want to try the steamed dumplings and lomein. I highly recommend this restaurant. It's great Chinese.

Ordered take away by phone. It was ready in 10 -15 min. Excellent Chinese beef noodle soup as well as shrimp fried rice. Food packed safely & hot !! Will order again.

We gave this place a chance, and I wish we didn’t. The beef and broccoli was horrible. Their pricing wasn’t horrible but save your money and time, and go to ChopSticks.

I went mid-afternoon and the staff seemed preoccupied. While trying to order, the waitress told me I couldn't order off the lunch menu because it was Sunday, although it was Saturday. She did acknowledge it was Saturday and I ordered off the lunch menu. I dined in with no follow up as to whether I needed anything during the meal. I then ordered "to-go" before I left, having to go back up to the front counter to do so. They put my to-go in a small bag, so I asked if they had a larger bag so I could carry the to go order and my leftovers together, but instead they gave me another small bag. Just not a pleasant experience, despite the tasty food.

hit or miss chinese food. could be a great sit down restaurant, the only in the area, if they had good service and real plates and utensils. wonton soup very good. most dishes good. fried rice could be a lot better.

Always get take out and it is ready when you get there. The food is very good we get food about twice a month.
