Always a favorite, and often topped off with some nice warm sake

I've eaten here before but brought my family for the first time. I had the beef udon noodles 🍜 soup, and it was delicious. The beef tasted like it was hibachi grilled, and the flavor was in the broth, so every bite was flavorful. I also had the flying fish eggs single serving and it was very good; sweet, as opposed to savory. A good dining experience.

We love going here for dinner. My children enjoy the cooks for entertainment and never get bored. The food is amazing, and we always have leftovers we eat the next day! The amount of food you get, is worth the money.

The best atmosphere with the best sushi

Excellent Hibachi meals along with Fantastic Sushi choices. Everything was delicious. Wonderful place. Excellent server. Every visit is fantastic.

Best food I have had in my life. Best Jappence restaurant in my opinion. Food amazing, Rice perfect, Medium steak, perfection, and also the sushi was the best part! I was a first time sushi eater, but it made me a sushi eater! Definitely come eat here!

Sushi was okay, worse Asian food ever, lacked flavor, it was really bland, and fried rice was just soy sauce rice had no vegetables or egg. I paid over $110 bucks for food that I ended up taking home and added spices to in order to not waste it. I would not recommend this expensive horrible food to anyone.

After hearing several high praises about this restaurant today I decided to try their meals and I wasn’t disappointed . I was pleasantly surprised with how cozy the space was, mindful our server had been, and how superb the food tasted . Vegan / vegetarian options are plentiful available . Although the hibachi vegetables were delicious the udon noodles were not tasteful . Despite that hick up I thoroughly enjoyed my veggie rolls, sweet potato rolls and the fried cheesecake . Perfect place for a small get together or date . Loved the warm, dark moody vibe, music was calm and low . Art was minimal and well decorated . Clean atmosphere.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The service was top notch and the food was out of this world delicious, especially the salmon!!

Sushi is based and the best in town. Service is great and always efficient.

Food was good but the kid's teriyaki was too salty and had too many vegetables. I had to order some plain chicken so she would eat it.

We received one yum-yum sauce for two rolls of sushi. If I spend $24 I expect a little more…

Beware if order pickup - they upcharge for it using “DoorDash” prices even if you pick it up yourself. Your bill was almost 20% more at pickup. When asked about the prices they said that they don’t have their prices updated on the website and they don’t provide total price over the phone. Not a good way to do business.

My son in law loves this place. We brought him here because I knew he would love it. He was only here like 6 days and after we brought him he came there three more times before he went home. He loves the sushi. All the food is good!!!

A family of three, All three meals came out wrong. The sushi is okay, couldn't eat the shrimp or the steak because it was so tough after we got the right food out the second time

Bought 3 hibachi plates , each had about 5 pieces of chicken , rice very dry. Plate just full of vegetables

This place is a real treasure! I’ve been to Japan/ Tokyo - the food here is excellent. Beautiful presentation and fresh flavor. The staff were so polite and our server was stellar. The Lynn Haven and Malne rolls were divine. We had the shrimp tempura appetizer-wow.

Food was delicious and came out quickly! Prices were what you'd expecting for Japanese. Hibachi plates came with soup, salad, fried rice, mixed veggies, meat and noodles. Beef udon was delicious as well and my friend loved her sushi rolls!

I would say I love this place, I’m always coming by. I’m pregnant and they have a variety of deep fried/pregnancy friendly sushi options! It really helps me fill my cravings until I can do my raw sushis again ❤️ So far costumer service has been great every time and the atmosphere is good, I only wish there was more space, it gets so full of clients every weekend it can be hard to get a table. The other downside is the parking when it’s full of clients. Sometimes ordering ahead for takeout is an easier option when there’s no parking.

Very disappointed as we usually have a very good experience. Our friends got their sushi rolls and were almost done by the time ours came. Our rolls were packed up as a "to go" order and just pulled out of the boxes and plated and brought to us cold as some were cooked. The waitress forgot about the fried rice we ordered and never apologized but just took off the menu since we didn't ask about it. She also didn't bring or offer any drink refills without us having to ask for them. May have to find a new fav sushi place.

Food is very good. Love getting the large miso bowl and just drinking the whole thing. Staff is super friendly too. Also, maybe I just don't recognize the music, but I swear I went in there and the ambient music was a calm instrumental Touhou mash up. Maybe I'm just crazy on that part though.

Any time I come here it's always great sometimes there is a little bit of a wait but that's OK food is always fresh and perfectly seasoned, staff is always so polite and attentive I always recommend to family and friends

Offering fresh food with great prices. Servers are welcoming and knowledgeable. Chicken katsu, calamari and the spicy tuna roll were all delicious. Will be back again for some more sushi!

I’m never disappointed with Sakura. They are always so good. No matter what their prices have always stayed reasonable too. You can’t beat their flavor and prices with a stick! We love Sakura and have for years.

It's refreshing to be able to give a location in Panama City 5 stars for Food, Service, and Ambiance. Sakura takes pride in all 3 area and it's very apparent. Delicious and fresh food consistently. Server was very attentive to every need and the ambiance is relaxing. This place is a gem in a city filled with chain restaurants and very few local restaurants of exceptional quality. This is one of those few. This is a place you will want to come back to again and again.

Good food and service. The only thing I would say is the fried rice is pretty plain. They do give you rice AND noodles with the hibachi dinner.

I really like this place! It wasn't busy when we went for lunch, so we were seated and served pretty quick. I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi lunch combo. The food was great, (although their yum yum sauce could be a bit thicker and more flavorful) But that's nit picking. I do recommend!

Very small and cramped location. Food was subpar, and service was horrible. Had a table of 5, and the server kept putting food in the wrong place. Their hibachi left a lot to be desired, and the sushi was nothing amazing. Overall, I would not recommend it.

Best food in town! I eat here at least 2 times a week. The food is delicious and the staff is incredibly kind. Lunch is priced great for what you get. For around $10 I get the plate you see pictures. Kylie always remembers my order and it brings a smile to my face every time. Thank you!

Sakura is our go-to Japanese restaurant in Lynn haven. It is phenomenal every time we go. Sushi and other main courses are great!

The sushi is absolutely great and was the best Miso soup we've had at a sushi place. The sushi rolls were beautiful and great quality of fish. Their workers care about the quality they provide. We splurged on this dinner and enjoyed all of it. Will be going again!

Sat outside & waited for a table - 10 / 15 min later we got to our table - sat another 10 min at our table and no one ever even came to get our drink orders …. Tables that sat after us had drinks and appetizers- 1st time there and so disappointed

The service was amazing, the food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had chicken and steak teriyaki and I had sushi. Everything was delivered on time and the staff was so friendly! We will definitely be making this one of our favorite dining spots. Make sure to go a little early to beat the dinner crowd.

Food was excellent. We loved the fact that music was played very softly and you could actually have a conversation with each other and not worry about talking over music and noise.

Always a great experience. Prices went up which makes it a bummer but what hasn't gone up? They have incredible salmon katsu and avocado salad always taste fresh. Recommend 10/10. We took a party of 10 and they did great!

A small restaurant, that is friendly, has great service, and amazing food. The Sushi is out of this world. At lunch, the Bento Box is a great deal with amazing food and plenty of it. My wife and I drove 3 city's over to Sakura because we wanted sushi and won't eat it at a place that did not do well on the state health inspections. Since the place in Panama City Beach we usually go was closed on Monday we would up at Sakura and are glad we did. Sakura had very minor dings on the inspection and we were okay with that. Other places had had everything from bug infestations to emergency closures. We were happy to drive all the way to Sakura rather than eat somewhere dirty. Thank you Sakura, we really enjoyed our meal.

This was definitely one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Food was quite fresh and flavorful. Danna was without a doubt the best server I've had at Sakura. She was extremely helpful when placing our order and made sure we were never without a drink, or anything else for that matter. I left her a $100 bill on a $62 check for a job well done!! 🍣
