One of my favorite off the tourist track places to eat.

A great find of the main strip. Beat seafood that I’ve had in the Panama City area.

I am writing this sadly about a place that we come to almost once a week and order take out from often as well. I have known the family or family members that own this restsurant for many years. We have always enjoyed going there with our kids and grand children. The back room is great because the kids can play on the playground. Tonight however was very different. For the past several weeks there has been a group of teachers and people that come regularly as well. They are all adults who are having adult beverages and vaping at the table. The get louder and louder each week. We have said a few times that we don’t understand since they are regulars as well why don’t they move them to the bar area and let the families with children sit near the playground area. Well tonight topped it off. This same group was so loud that a couple and their very elderly mom had to ask to be moved because of the noise. She wears hearing aids and could not hear anything over their noise. A couple with two Small little girls also paid for their drinks and left instead of eating dinner. Another elderly couple ask for to go boxes because it was too noisy. While the server we had (not the owners) was trying to take our order she couldn’t even hear us. . I saw one of the owners and simply asked if there was any way she could ask them to keep it down just a little so others could enjoy their dinner, I was told “no they are regulars that come every Wednesday”. I informed her that we were regular Wednesday night patrons as well because we see and especially hear them each week. This week was just exceptionally loud. She informed me that she would not ask them to keep it down some. I said do you realize two families have already left and one family moved rooms because of them! She said well you can move in the front room. I said we come here because we have kids that we can’t see play unless we are in this room. That is why we come there. She said well I am not saying anything to them. I say all of this to let you know that what was once a family owned and family friendly restaurant is nothing more than a bar that serves food now. The language and vaping alone from this group was bad but a restaurant owner letting 4 other families leave because of them says a lot. Even worse these people are educating children. READ THIS !!!!!!!!! If makes me sorry that I defended them a while back.when they were being bashed for food and service. You have now lost 27 local family members who will never come there again. When your liquor tab is more important than the people who live and work within walking distance and frequent your “restaurant” or should I now say bar there is an issue. I am disappointed that a family that once owned and operated other restaurants and built a name in customer service has become this! Sad day for Lynn Haven. When one of these patrons pulls out drunk and kills someone then maybe you will see that the families that came there should have been your priority. Disappointed is an understatement.

The food is good. Decently priced. Super busy establishment. Small dining areas. The do have an attached playground outside for the kiddos to play that is in veiw of the left side dining room. Drinks are self serve. Our food was good. The pecan bread pudding is a must try!!! I would give it 6 stars! I had the seafood lasagna, very cheesy and served with garlic bread. My husband had baked oysters, but they came out cold. He tried to eat a few when the waitress came over and asked about it.... and she took the plate that he was eating on and stuck it back in the oven. They were great after that but I didn't like the thought of the possible cross contamination/cleanliness. We ordered steamed shrimp for an appetizer, it was seasoned well but seemed a little overcooked. They also brought out my husbands food before the appetizer, so i sat and watched him eat his dinner while waiting on mine. The appetizer was brought out with my food. Kinda frustrating but Hopefully it was just an off day bc we have ate here before with no issues. The staff is effecient and nice but busy!

Food was exceptional and the waitress was so sweet. Great place to eat. Can’t wait to go again

This place is great. The seafood is so consistently good, it's actually surprising! We eat their food often, but usually to-go. Tonight we ate there and it was delicious as always. Super nice staff and reasonable prices.

Came here for a late lunch and the food was good. My only complaint was they have a table for one, and it's just a terrible table, in the middle of foot traffic next to all the extra chairs etc... it was definitely an after thought and I wished that I had thought to ask for a different table. The other weird thing was they automatically charge you for a drink. I usually opt for water when I am eating out and this place charges you, then you get to go fetch it yourself like you're at the Golden Corral. Food was okay, probably won't return when I'm in town.

Great seafood prepared simply so the seafood is the star.

Great Seafood restaurant in Lynn Haven, Florida - near Panama City, Florida. I had the Lobster Bisque, Shrimp and Grits, slaw and garlic bread. Everything was great including the service. :)Todd

Self serve your own fountain drinks which is fine but they lack wait staff and we never actually met our waitress it was a hostess that kept coming over, I’m glad for that. The burger was bland, they don’t have fries on the menu. The side salad is a proper green salad, that was nice and the lobster bisque was alright. The Chose Your Own: Ordered shrimp and shrimp scampi with crab legs and broccoli and corn on the cob. I shared it with my niece and it was just alright. I wouldn’t come back, it’s not worth the wait.

It was not quite 12:30 when we arrived, so knew it was busy. The hostess seated us pretty quickly but said it might take a minute for our waitress to come by. It wasn't that long before she took our order and quickly brought my drink. We waited; tables arriving after us were served. Then other patrons started clearing out. 45 minutes later, with the waitress never coming by to check on drinks or update us on our food order, we got up and walked out. I was looking for the waitress, but never saw her. The two hostesses who checked us in were cleaning off the adjacent table and never asked us how we were. So I have no idea if their food is any good. And I'll never know.

Not big portions, but the food was tasty!!!

To be positive, dessert was good. However, the portions and quality of food was average if not poor. The server did not seem to care to ask if we enjoyed the food although, was otherwise friendly.

We read reviews online and were looking forward to driving 45 minutes from where we were vacationing to visit this restaurant. We were seated in the spacious back room that overlooked the small playground they have for kids with floor to ceiling windows. (AWESOME CONCEPT!!) 👌 I was dining with my son, and he went off to go play. During this time, I was alone and able to take in the surroundings. I felt like this place was a locals hive. One person was leaving, and another group was coming in - they knew each other and were happy to have their hellos. Another group later came in to have a small family birthday party for a woman, and everyone was so happy to be there. It was a very comforting place. I felt a part of the town and not like an outside tourist. It was a great find!

Service was excellent, raw oysters were cold and good (horseradish was not fresh or warm enough for my liking) but that's just me. 2 in our party had the Mahi and it was a bit overcooked but at least the prices were okay.

The food was fabulous and it is so nice that they have the playground for the children.

Potatoes were very bland, fish was OK(spicy hot), scampi was amazing and bread was very good. We walked in, stood there for quite a while, I finally asked the lady walking past (she worked there) if we were to seat ourselves she barked at me NO! I apologized and said I didn't know...... they were pretty rude...... oh well we won't go back

Gr8 place! Oysters extra large, cold & tasty (and everyone gets their own sleeve of crackers ... Nice touch)! Seafood gumbo excellently prepared (sans rice). Included sausage, shrimp, and all the extras. Baked oysters (all the way) we're fantastic! Variety of beers & wine (no alcoholic beverages). To reiterate, just a gr8 place to eat and unwind! Highly Recommend!!

Baked Oysters were the best I’ve had in the NW Florida area. Service was amazing, my grits were perfect and my entire experience will bring me back again.

Food was amazing and the servers were very attentive and polite.

This was surprisingly some of the best seafood I had in PCB! I built my own plate with Shrimp Scampi, Crab Legs and 2 sides. All were delicious and worth the price! Highly recommend!

Excellent food. Best seafood in town without a doubt. Only downside is you probably have to a wait a little for a table. It's well worth it though.

This place has some tasty seafood. Tuna dip was so good, nice smokiness to it. Seafood dip though good didn’t compare to how tasty the tuna dip is. Grits were phenomenal! Shrimp though good could have used better cleaning and please, please remove the tails if you’re putting them in hot grits. No one wants to pull them off like that. Mac and cheese was really good. Potatoes could have used more flavor. Atmosphere is a little strange but what local seafood place isn’t.

Simply Delicious!. First time visiting. Enjoyed every bit of my dozen baked dozen, raw and a cup of pretty darn good seafood gumbo.

Amazing seafood! The shrimp were huge, perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned! The dips (tuna and seafood?) were also excellent!! It was my first time - I will be back!!

Good healthy fresh food! You are full when you leave and not bloated.

The best and biggest raw oysters in PC, it tastes so fresh and awesome and the staff are so super friendly only parking spots are limited by I would definitely recommend to anyone loves raw seafood. They do have pickup raw seafood by weight as well

Everything we ordered was just delicious! We tried the dip with toast, lobster roll, gumbo, fish tacos, steamed shrimp, chowder, raw oysters and baked oysters. Everything came out piping hot! Corn on the Cobb and sweet tea were also very good! Service was great!

We decided to try this place on our last day in Panama City and we wished we had came sooner. Some of the best seafood we had the whole trip! Staff was friendly and food was great.

Wasn't overly impressed with the crawfish seasoning but overall a great experience.

Great little spot so glad I found it!!! Friends brought me here and wanted to eat early because the place is always so busy- I can see why, the food is excellent the prices are reasonable- I mean really a great value for seafood... Wonderful atmosphere and the service was excellent everyone was smiling that worked there! UPDATE-Don't miss the Pecan Pie Bread Pudding for desert!!!

Highly recommend the party room

If you want some tasty and affordable fish and seafood, this is the place to go. They have options that can be eaten by people with gluten sensitivity, but probably not celiac.

We were welcomed The vibe was awesome. It has been a while since we have had a good experience dining out here in the Panama city area . It was welcomed And the food was great .

It’s rare, they get everything right. Mom and Pop feel, world class seafood, friendly and timely wait staff. This place is a stones throw from my house. Very blessed to have them.

🍤 Boil- supposed to be served with Corn, Potatoes & Sausage for $20. The take out order I received had NO Corn. Boil was okay. Carrot cake was tasty.

We were traveling with our dog and my husband wanted a lobster roll. Someone recommended this restaurant. He absolutely loved the lobster roll. Said it was loaded with chunks of lobster and probably the best lobster roll he’s ever eaten. We also ordered half a gallon of sweet tea. It was very good and served in this bag with a spout and handle.

Stopped here to get lobster roll sides and sweet tea to go. Friendly staff and the food was amazing.

The best place in Northwest Florida for fresh seafood at great prices! The staff is always friendly and it’s always spick and span! Love!!

Corn chowder was excellant. Cold slaw and fish (cod) very good, but whole potatoes lacking. Over very great lunch

Highly disappointed at the customer service here. We were so excited to eat here and we were told there was a 15 minute wait which was fine. We noticed there were two large tables open but we waited anyways. 30 minutes into our wait time the table was given to a larger party which was understandable. The lack of communication about them waiting on that party was ridiculous. We waited a total of FORTY minutes before leaving after no service. Hostesses were rude and snappy when we inquired about the wait time.

I have to say I was so excited to eat here, but as soon as I looked at the plates and then attempted my first bite…. No Thank you ! Imitation Seafood and frozen previously full of watered down horribly processed!! Please Note this is NOT REAL SEAFOOD!

Excellent 👌. The food and service was very good. Quite the surprise. I ate here 10 years ago and was not impressed. But tonight was very different. Seafood Gumbo was super as was the Shrimp and Grits. We will definitely be coming back.

One of our favorite places to go! We absolutely love the little playground and wish other restaurants would jump on board and have the same.

Finally tried two new menu items. Lobster roll was fabulous. $20 for roll and 2 sides. Add another roll for $10. Will do next time.

A wonderful local mom-and-pop restaurant that serves an array of fresh seafood straight out of the Gulf of Mexico. Because the food is so good and the restaurant is fairly small, it fills up quickly during peak lunch and dinner meal times, so plan to go early!

Great food! Great prices! We have never been disappointed! The kids love eating here!

Wonderful meal. Best shrimp scampi I’ve ever had

Seen the crowds and figured the food must be amazing, I guess I set my expectations too high. I stopped in for a quick lunch, and got the shrimp scampi. Shrimp in butter and parmesan. The shrimp were flavorless, and I was told they were frozen, most likely farm raised. It was supposed to be$12.50, but somehow came out to $16.00 with my water. Not the worst, but disappointing

We've eaten here before. This is a review for the Lobster Bisque. The rest of the food was good. I'm not sure what happened, but this was way to thick like pudding almost and had little taste to it. I think we may have gotten three tiny pieces of lobster. Definitely not worth the 7 dollar price. Definitely wouldn't order again.

We were in Panama City in a short getaway and were looking for some good seafood. A local, recommended Simply Seafood in Lynn Haven. Now I love little hole in the wall local establishments. And Simply Seafood met that criteria. Small, out of the way building didn’t look like much but we were well pleased. We got there early, around 4:30 pm, so the place looked empty. We were sitting quickly and met promptly by our server. I’m glad we got there early, because by the time we left, the place was packed and there was a wait for tables. Limited menu, but what they had they did very well. I ordered the steamed shrimp, sliced potatoes and corn on the cob. Shrimp was nicely done and very well seasoned. Cocktail sauce was in the table and nice and tangy. Potatoes were soft and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Corn was buttery and excellent. My wife, is not a seafood eater, so she ordered the burger. Large, juicy patty, nicely flavored. Excellent burger. Service was great! Atmosphere was fun and had a local vibe. Prices were reasonable and didn’t gouge you like the “strip” seafood places. Highly recommend if you’re in the area! When you’re visiting a tourist area, always ask the locals where they eat, you won’t go wrong!

This is a little gem!! They steam or half oysters on the half shell, or you can buy your own fresh seafood and cook it yourself at home. The shrimp crab corn chowder is a must try!! My mouth waters still when I think about it! Employees were so nice, great atmosphere with a little playground for the Littles to enjoy while u eat. We will definitely be back the next time we are on vacay! Thank you!

I have a gluten allergy and all of their seasonings are gluten free. I usually order the grilled shrimp, baked oysters, crab claws (blue and snow), and the lobster roll (without the bun) without the bun. Cheese grits, salad/salad dressings, potatoes, veggies are all gluten free as well. Soups are not gluten free.

Always the best fresh seafood. We both had shrimp scampi. Fresh firm and tasty. TODAY - WE DIDN'T GET TO THE FOOD PART. WHEN WE CAME IN WE ASKED TO BE SEATED IN THE ADJOINING ROOM. AFTER 10 MINUTES WAITING WE FINALLY ASKED TO HAVE SOMEONE TAKE OUR ORDER. THE SERVER THAT RESPONDED TOLD US IT WAS OUR FAULT BECAUSE WE AKED TO BE SEATED IN ADJOINING ROOM - THERE WERE OTHER PATRONS IN THAT ROOM. WHEN I QUESTIONED HER RESPONSE SHE RESPONDED RUDELY SO WE GOT UP AND LEFT. THERE WERE VERY FEW PATRONS IN THE ESTABLISHMENT AND THE THREE SERVERS AT THE GREETING AREA WERE JUST GOSSIPING. I SAW NO REASON FOR US NOT TO BE SERVED. very disappointed.

Laid back, awesome servers. The seafood gumbo was delicious with a side of peel & eat shrimp. Enjoyed oysters on the half shell while watching some football. I will eat lunch here every time I visit Panama City.

The grits were excellent, the coleslaw was amazing and the grilled shrimp was good. You had to get your own drink but the staff was very friendly. It was clean and it had a very good atmosphere. I would recommend it.

Visiting from Houston, a friend brought us here for dinner. She and I had Snow Crab leg dinner (comes with potatoes, corn and sausage). My husband had a dozen raw oysters and shrimp scampi with sides. The food was great! Cooked perfectly with normal seasoning (not hot Cajun spices thankfully) and plentiful. The only thing missing was a plastic bib. I'm a messy eater.😆 Relaxed atmosphere and the music was truly background music. You could talk without yelling. Looking forward to coming back next time I'm in town

Great seafood spot in the heart of Lynn Haven! Love the shrimp, scallops, and the peanut butter pie is amazing. Service is great, self-serve drinks are easy, and prices are good as well. Definitely recommend!

The food was amazing. Staying at the beach and wasn’t sure about driving over that way when someone told us about it and we are glad we did. Husband had grouper and shrimp scampi. I had flounder and shrimp and we ordered the crawfish dip. I will definitely go back.

We go to Simply Seafood every time we go to Panama City. The food is plentiful & cooked perfect. We go every chance we get!

I'm from Tallahassee, and visit my parents often in PC. We have eaten here twice recently, once inside and once for take out. BOTH times the service was fantastic, and so was the food! Portion sizes are almost too good to be true, and that's the same for the prices. EAT HERE, you wont regret it

Man, what a homemade carrot cake! A visiting friend was craving carrot cake and she found Simply Seafood online. I went and picked up a couple of pieces to go. It was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back and try the menu!

Have eaten here 5 times over a few months and different days of the week. Food is consistently good, and the wait staff has always been patient and kind. Strongly recommended if looking for seafood.
