I like to use the "Order on line" program so I can shop away from the Club, pay, and choose the day and time to QUICKLY go and leave. 08/18/24 - I'm POSITIVE that the qualifications of being a "Manager", in the 98N store, is that their IQ can not be more than their Shoe Size!!! Each time I now reluctantly visit the place is worse than the last!! 1 person running the Cash Register, at the Food Court, ALSO filling each new customer's order, while there's a line all the way back to the Pharmacy area!! Want to find grocery items? Look behind the EMPTY BOXES that hide the items you are looking for!! Try getting out of the store when there is a line all the way back to the Food Court and only ONE person checking receipts!!! Want to find an Employee to ask questions? What are you - a Comedian?? I typically forego this place and buy at Winn Dixie or Publix because they have BOGOs that sometimes beats both Sam's Club AND Walmart - who also has the same management requirements as Sam's Club.

Only members club in town. The front end staff is well coached by Bobby.

Had to get a new card the lady at customer service was helpful with the whole process of getting a new card.

Was on the phone for over 15 minutes just waiting to speak to an associate and they never answered 1 star wouldn't bother trying to call

Love going to Sam's club.. Medicine, clothes, office and home/ school supplies. Scan and go makes it easy out the door.

As i walked around as I shopped. They were giving out samples of food. 😋 Grilled cheese takes. Spring rolls. All delicious.

Gas prices change alot,and I appreciate the lower gas prices. But website says $3.07 got there and gas is $3.22. Very big difference.

Same exact issue today, 7/20. Been trying to get through for 30 minutes. The #4 for the bakery does not work. Keep calling cust serv and only one time someone picked up and transferred me to the bakery. It rang so many times I was disconnected. Still trying to call back and no answer. I just want to make sure my croissants are ready before I drive over. Can’t believe nobody will answer the phone. Disappointed this evening. I need to place an order through the bakery, option 4 doesn’t work so called back for customer service. I let it ring about 50 times, called back to the pharmacy just to see if anyone would pick up. Yes they did but couldn’t transfer me to the bakery so he transferred me to customer service, finally someone picked up after about 50 more rings, transferred to bakery with no one picking up. Didn’t get to speak to anyone.

This is the worst Sam's in Polk County. I was reminded again why I don't shop here today as they have horrible staff ( especially management) always short staffed, and the whole way they can make you feel like a thief at the door just makes me sick. I realize it's not the employees fault for the stores policy at the door, but this store needs to do better. Much better, I am not going to renew my membership as I am moving mine over to Costco. That's how bad I dislike the Sam's way ( I don't ship at Wal-Mart either for these same reasons)

Sam's has everything you need and in big packaging. Self checkout is easy.

Was at the Gas station today and waited 55 minutes with 4 cars ahead of us and all lanes with long lines. Each vehicle took over 12 minutes to fill their gas tanks. I called the store to speak with the store manager to report this ongoing issue to be hung up on 5 times. I could hear someone pick up and hang up. I tried multiple times to get someone in the meat department, Bakery and even the tire department which no one ever to answer, lines rung and rung as if they were closed. I called the pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacist which I asked her to get the str manager and she refused. My attempts to give Sam's club the opportunity to fix this ongoing issue which has been neglected time after time after time. We have contacted Sams club store and corporate office multiple times with the same issue and Nothing has been.dine to fix the ongoing problem with their Pumps lagging and taking forever to fill. Normal time to fill a tank is no more than 5 minutes when the pumps are working as they should, we were forced to wait almost 3 times this time per vehicle which is absolutely rediculous. Shame on you Sams Club, highly inconveniencing your members over and over and over again as if the membership is Free. Learn from Costco and how they run their business smoothly with great overall customer service and are the gas pumps, it's convenient, very quick and No issues with the gas pumps. Lanes move as they should because Costco does it right. There is a good reason why your overall service is so poor. There should be an option when calling the store to speak with the store manager, which there is Not. It's a joke trying to even speak with anyone at your store. Sam's club there is Zero Excuse for this. You're company has been completely Aware of this ongoing issue and have been completely ignored, the heck with the inconveniences you all are putting you're members through. You're company is a joke, rude and unprofessional. You as a company cares Nothing about you're members and everything you're putting us through. You're customers should be Priority number 1 which has been proven we're Not. Employees in you're stores need Etiquette training in customer service because they have none. If I could give you're company a Zero I would have.

Would give zero stars if I could. Go to pick up a cake and cupcakes and the only lady at the counter wants to tell me that the order is paid for even though I am trying to show her my confirmation code that states it’s paid for. Meanwhile the gentleman is telling her it’s paid. She makes me wait while she helps others with their orders even though I was there first. Poor customer service. She needs to be trained a little better.

Employees are pleasant to ask and to talk also in reference to products and groceries. The place is organize and clean. It's a great place to do your Holidays and your everyday regular shopping. Convenience to have a Sam credit card, it generate points that turn to cash wish you are able to use at the moment or let it grow, because it doesn't expire. In the future, I wish they upgrade the system with pay pal. I notice the new generation also likes to buy in Sam.

Went to pick up a few items a couple days ago and pick up a pizza. At 6:35 I went to the deli to find no pizza in the warmers and asked if I could order a whole pizza. I was told they were only selling slices? They ended up taking 3 pizzas out for slices only?? I know they want to shut the deli down by 7pm but they could have made whole pizzas at least 2 more times before closing since they only take 8-10 minutes to cook. I was more then willing to wait but once again Sams forced me to spend my money elsewhere.

Horrible experience. I was granted a 24hr shopping pass. NO ONE knew how it works, Roxy is an associate here she had much to contribute to this horrible experience and no help at all. I spent almost 3 hours just purchasing 11 cases of drinks for a grad party. The lines were carelessly long to every register that was open and functional as well as the 2 long lines just to make it out the door after my purchase. I knew more about how this 24hr pass was supposed to work better then any of the associates I had to come in contact with. Absolutely no one knew what to do even after I instructed them on how it was supposed to work. Mrs Lisa was the only one out of 8 employees from the door to the check out to the exit that was kind enough to carefully listen to the instructions and execute with grace and style. If it wasn't for encountering Mrs. Lisa at the end of this nightmare of a experience, I'd probably NEVER shop here again. This store is worse than Walmart. I've NEVER encountered this mishap in my 10 years of shopping with Costco.

Always a pleasure to shop there. New items always showcased and stocked. Being a Plus member has its advantages as you can go there when there is less people like 7 a.m. during the week

The prices itself are awesome. However, the staff are a hit or miss. Experienced horrible attitude at the front, while explaining I had made purchases in 2 cards so had two receipts, person was questioning me and giving passive aggressive attitude. If you don’t like your job find a new one please; but customers spends thousands a year in this store don’t need to tolerate it. Specially on holiday weekends

We had to wait over an hour to pickup large items from receiving door.

Not enough staffed registers to check out. Consistently long lines trying to get my receipt checked in order to exit the store. Too often there is only one employee at the door performing this function. I have frequently seen the line stretch from the exit all the way back to the Cafe. The store should expect, and plan, for heavier volume, especially on the weekends. It should not take several minutes to leave.

Great bargains, menebership literally pays for itself with the cash back rewards.

Great place to shop. They now carry Jinx Dog food. Great dog food for dogs with diet issues. The salmon is great for sensitive stomachs, and it's balanced for dogs with diabetes. It's not always a great selection at sams Club, but often, it's the brands you use the most in the quantities you need. Especially for a busy family.

I love the scan and go. I never have to wait in the cashier line. I save so much time using this. It takes a little while checking out at the door.

Ok I'm going to be slightly petty with this review. First of all, it's Sam's. Good bulk pricing like any other. 1.) No tap to pay 2.) Rude employees And my petty 3.) I seriously got the membership 50% based on their cafe. It is a fantastic way to eat out and be cheap. Their yogurt machine may as well be from McDonald's because it NEVER works. It's gotten me so irritated I made a point to take photos and post about it here because it seriously rarely ever is working. Lastly, not sure why but some items are in store, but you can't purchase in the app for store pickup? Weird. Other than those things. Pretty good

Sams club is selling rotting fruite to customers. I was there Friday most of the fruite was rotting the grapes looked okay until you opened them. They are also spoiled

It's all right but the lines are entirely too long and if you use your card the check everything out so you don't have to wait They still stop you and ask to see your license My husband got so mad about that he said it's been how long and nobody's ever asked me and now you're asking for license 🤷 Needs to be easy not harder!!

I would like to give this Sam's club a 5 but I can't because of the handicap carts. The people are great and it's nicely stocked. The only problem I have is that every time we go all of the batteries are low on the handicap carts. The last two times we have had to walk my handicap wife out of the store.

Update June 2022 .... dropping a stars from 5 to 4 as now either join as plus member at $100 or pay $4.00 an order........Curbside pick up rocks year not only was it early but no crowd while the store was out the door

Went to a Sam's in Port St Lucie and they had fresh sushi being made.. Does this store have fresh sushi made on site?

(Update) (Not much had changed since my last review other than are sampling more items.) This location is on the smaller side for a sams club. Or at least the way it is set up makes it seem that way. They hardly ever have the samples out for you to try new things. Aside from the inflation, The prices are not as great as they used to be on a lot of bulk items.

Great store that's always clean and well stocked. The food court offers hot ans fresh foods that don't disappoint. That said, this location is crazy busy nearly all the time. You'll sometimes not get a cart, park a long ways from the door, and wait in long lines to check out... and another very long line to get scanned at the exit. Prepare for a lengthy visit.

Sweet prices and large inventory. Lots of parking and clean. They have some good quality products. When I have any issues, they address it right away.

I just quit this job. This is what you’re buying. The rat problem has been ongoing and has yet to be addressed. These are the least disgusting of the photos.

Was looking for a Costco in the area but stumbled on Sam's Club. They had a pretty good selection. Price is not too bad and friendly staff. Membership definitely worth it for $25 if you have young children.

The store itself is nice but the stupid people at the exit who want to ck your receipt are awful. Twice we went around them. Yesterday we were next to be checked and the lady started a second line even though there was only one checker and she took them and not us, we were next and kept waiting so we said screw it and went around her. She wasn't happy and neither were we. Last time there were 2 lines with 10 carts in each line, for real, and the lady was checking every single item and the woman had a full cart. After waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting we went around her. She wasn't happy and neither were we. You get the picture. At home in Michigan they scan about 3 items and away you go.

Prices keep going up. Know what you're paying some deals arent worth it!!!! Slow moving line going out.

Be sure to check your fresh meat packages if buying protein. This is the second time I've bought protein and they cheated me out of the meat. I bought chicken breast and I found they added a couple Boneless thighs to it. I don't who packages the meat but people spend hard earned money. I've also bought filets and found later they were Sirloin cuts not cool at all. And nobody had time to run back to the store to complain and exchange. The drive for me is a bit far.

Not too crazy for Christmas Eve shopping. Wasn't as crowded as I expected. Got what we went after and checked out with "Scan and go". No waiting at the register. An overall good shopping trip.

Pros? It's a warehouse club. Some deals. Cons? Odd layout and completely out of milk. Yup. No whole or 2% or skim in the place. Checkout took really long time and had to wait to get in a huge exit line to leave. Gas pumps are unattended unlike Costco. Overall seems just like a bad version of a Costco. Update 2022-12-10 Not better. Slow Sunday late afternoon. Mostly empty store. Raining. At checkout needed another cart. Had to walk back to the entrance. No carts. Asked the employee there for a cart and they just pointed out the doors into the dark and rain. Had to walk outside and get a cart from the cart corral in the parking lot. In the dark. In the rain.

Love Sam's club! So many items at comparable prices with other grocery sellers. Using the scan and go app allows me to skip the checkout process. This saves so much time at checkout. Thank you for the experience.

Lately store has been so full that items are being sold out fast especially meats. Don’t know if people have nothing else to do with there time or what! Lakeland is become another Tampa/Orlando. 🤦🏽‍♂️

We shop Sams Club 98 north Lakeland fl for our groceries. The store is clean, well stocked and the employes are very helpful. We buy in bulk and split it up for meals for two. Really cheaper in the long run!!! I love everything about Sam's.

North Lakeland location stocked much better that the South Lakeland location and has more checkouts

I have stopped here for a while but it has become more disorganized, and there have been moments where there are no carts in the entrance, but what is really a problem is that, each and every cart has something wrong with it...for example, not clean, pulling to the left or right, broken wheels and or difficult to push. Sometimes it feels like it would be better to go to Publix and use those carts. This is a consistent problem. Update:10/01/23 The cart situation has improved. Certain goods are a few days away from expiring. That is not good.

Evening is the best time to get gas at Sam's.

First time at this Sam's Club. It was somewhat crowded but it was Noon on a Friday so we should have known. Customer service was so helpful and pleasant when issuing my card (signed up online). Store is very neat and organized - we found everything we needed. We missed so much so I'm excited to go back again soon.

Gas was up 50 cents today. Not good! Also used their pharmacy. The new manager "Mina" was a great help!
