This is a very cute Cafe and chocolate shop. The staff is very nice. Their chocolate selection is about what you would expect. I'm with some dark and milk choices. Would love more mini versions of things. On this occasion I went for brunch with a pal. I had the veggie breakfast burrito for brunch which was adequate. My friend had the quiche which was very heavy on crust and light on the egg. Overall, we really enjoyed our hangout and chat and the staff was very friendly. With just two people working the food prep was a bit slow. The coffee and tea is very good. We hung out quite a while. It would be nice to have a ceramic mug or ceramic teapot option. The granola bar was a nice sweet snack. The yogurt parfait was very fancy looking. I have had their chocolates on other occasions which are also quite good. This is a nice, pleasant place to hang out and chat and have some food or sweets.

(Michele's Review) From the moment I (we) entered Schultz Sweets, my eyes were filled with the beauty of rich colors, shiny brass, a decadent coffee, candy & ice cream parlor, and the knowledge that I just entered someplace special. A huge smile grew across my face. But let's back up with the WHY my feet brought our family to Schultz Sweets. For our grandson's 10th birthday, his special present was a train trip across our State of Michigan to find an old fashioned and delicious ice cream parlor for the family to enjoy. Following the Blue Water Amtrak train route with stops in Durand, East Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Dowagiac, & Niles, we started searching on the internet for excellently rated ice cream parlors in these areas. Schultz Sweets had just what we were looking for in Kalamazoo. So Kalamazoo won and became our destination. We were not disappointed. Upon entry, with a huge smile on my face, I forced my feet past the candy display, past the coffee counter and ending at the ice cream cooler. As the family was ooooing, and ahhhhing over the various ice cream flavors, I asked what non-dairy options were available. There were two to choose from. The one I chose was “Cherry Limeade Sherbet” WELL, this was possibly the best, “single on a sugar cone” frozen sugary flavor confection, I have ever had in my mouth. The perfect balance of sweet cherry and citrusy-tart limeade. My smiling face was even happier now, if that was even possible. What did the birthday boy get? Strawberry ice cream on a waffle cone. He was enjoying it with a huge smile just like me. Then the ambiance. The deep blue colored walls, the comfortable living room setting of plush seats, high top table and chairs, along side of two couches and coffee tables. All of this was sitting opposite a wall of wood framed glass to ceiling windows, showing off the confection kitchen where all the incredible-ness (if that's a word) was created. Then we met one of their workers, Rachel. She was an absolute delight. We explained why we were there and she was thrilled to hear about our little trip and Schultz Sweets was why we were in Kalamazoo. She was such a gem to talk to and is the reason why, at her request, we wrote this review. YES, this is a destination worthy of making a special trip to. We don't know when it may be again for us, but we hope to be back someday soon. All the way back to Kalamazoo and Schultz Sweets.

Cute place to get ice cream! I enjoyed my first visit here grabbing ice cream with a friend. I visited a second time to buy some chocolates as gifts and was sad to find different truffle flavors this time and no basic flavors available. Boxed/giftable chocolates are not sealed, which is odd for items intended to be gifted. For the cost, I feel that items should be sealed. Chocolate covered items such as potato chips and pretzels are very thickly coated, which is not my preference. The employees were nice enough, but both seemed new, and one of them stared at me the entire time I was looking through the store, which was a little uncomfortable. Overall, great concept for a shop and a great atmosphere, but the sweets are a little lacking.

The turtle sundae was the bomb. Candied pecans and they have a bourbon fudge or caramel option. Way good and cheap! Mooville ice cream!

Their breakfast menu is all microwaved food. We got the biscuit and breakfast burritos. They were all so overcooked that they were rock hard. We left all of our food at the table. Our server was very attentive we left a tip. Our total was $44 before tip and the kids and I won't be back, for anything but the desserts.

A must stop in Kalamazoo! Wide variety of delicious high quality caramels, chocolates, and ice cream as well as lunch options and coffee and other drinks. The interior is a gorgeous place to dine in- gives a very 1920s Gatsby glamour kind of vibe, and there’s plenty of seating. You can also watch the candy makers working during the day through the glass window!

This shop is so cute and smells heavenly. The house made caramel and flavored free samples they have are worth a visit alone! Perfect for a sweet treat

Great place to come for Mooville ice cream. They also have speciality coffee and breakfast, lunch, and dinner items and lots of others sweets! Beautiful atmosphere! Can’t wait to come back!

Didn’t eat food but had the caramels and they were fantastic! It’s also adorable - the inside has a great art deco kind of feel. Surprisingly luxe and very gorgeous! Also, the lady checking me out was so friendly. Will definitely be going back!

Beautiful experience! I had a yummy latte and a delicious chocolate in the cafe. I sat in the dreamy lounge decorated in navy and brass- lovely!!

This is a wonderfully designed place. Ice cream and coffee let alone a menu of food. Comfortable places to sit and chat with friends. The staff was so fun and welcoming.

A little pricey for breakfast, but the atmosphere is worth it. I went for a little date morning with my preschooler. They have some games out to play and he loved his waffle. As we walked out the door he asked if we can go back soon.

This place is spectacular! Waffle Friday is a new tradition for our kiddos and Ms. Mandy provides THE BEST experience for us. The food, the coffee and the people will keep us coming back and spreading the word on this incredible place.

First time here with my wife this afternoon. Wonderful environment and the staff was amazing. We both had the brownie sundae and oh yummmm! Got some fudge to take to my mom (who is a fudge snob) she tried it and said where is this place? I’ll never have to make fudge again. Well done well put together we will definitely be back!!

Dream cafe! Outstanding menu offerings, environment, and service. Many choices for breakfast, lunch, gourmet sweets, coffee, tea, espresso, and ice cream. We loved the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, breakfast burrito, and bananas foster waffle we got as well as fresh-brewed iced green tea. We haven't tried the house-made caramels we bought yet, but can't wait to try them later. We were mind blown, keep up the great work.

The chicken bacon ranch sandwich is phenomenal. 10/10. Will be back regularly.

Ok people this place is outstanding. It's across from Menard's in that little plaza. I stopped for the first time and candy, ice cream, and coffee, perfect for me.

This is a beautiful, new place in Kalamazoo! I took my laptop and worked here for several hours. The coffee and sweets were delicious and the atmosphere was so fun! It's a warm and inviting place unlike anything else we have around. I highly recommend the mint chocolate fudge 😊
