Despite the restaurant's high ratings, our dining experience was far from satisfactory. The lack of flavor and poor quality of the meat in my husband's ribeye steak and my Mexican tacos left us underwhelmed and disappointed. Additionally, the fact that my plate was chipped on the side raises concerns about the restaurant's attention to detail and hygiene standards. It's safe to say that our expectations were not met, and we will not be returning to this establishment.

We have been coming here for years. Our first time here we had the fire mango Rita enchiladas, and we always come back for the same. Food is always good and quick, but the past few years the “bartenders” can’t seem to make the drink right. It specifically states on menu that it has 100 silver tequila. But they put in whatever alcohol they want. For nearly $18 you expect a decent tequila. We sit at the bar so we can ask for the right liquor. This last time over the weekend ( might be our last ever sadly) the waitress/ bartender started to use Jose Cuervo gold - I nicely asked for the 1800 silver as listed on menu for that drink because I get headaches from dark liquor. She said it’s extra. I let her know it’s listed in the drink ingredients and we come regularly. She said they were out and used a house white tequila. She then put in a dark alcohol I asked what it was as she was blending and it was orange liquor? Not listed or ever used. I said it’s usually mango purée.. and she said she adds that last and reblenddd it with mango and ice. Drink was not good. Tasted like orange not the spicy mango we come for. Never even spoke to a manager in all the years we have come in. This isn’t the first time the drink wasn’t the best.. just this was the worst. We drive 45 to go here and left unhappy

*Edit* I just have to say my husband and I are the type of people who rarely visit restaurants more than once...but we are hooked LOL. The food, drinks and staff are impeccable! I just have to say WOW! I came a few months ago with our 12yr old daughter and she critiques food just as we do as adults, it was AMAZING! I came again tonight with my husband and once again absolutely AMAZING! You have super nice and professional staff, very clean, the food is sooo amazing, well seasoned and massive portions! Pictures are from this visit and last!

The outside of this place is beautiful, the way they made their entrance we just love! Greeted by friendly staff and quick service by our server the food came to us quick and was devoured just as fast! Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

2024: Just came here after not being here for dinner in years. The service was nice, the food was very disappointing. The drinks were good though. 2017: This place is great! Want great drinks and good food this is the place to go. We have been here a few times and each time is great! Bathrooms are clean too that is always a plus

Right off, when we came in with a party of 12 and asked to be seated outside (there was ONE other couple in the restaurant), we were told they could only put us Way down at the far end of the restaurant where they already had long tables set up - which would have been ok except we're in Florida, and it was not under any cover so no shade at all. The area under cover had plenty of tables that could be moved together - just like they did inside when we said we didn't want to be in the full sunlight. I asked the manager as well and they just pretended to not understand English well enough to give an explanation as to Why we couldn't sit where we wanted to. Also, when we were cashing out, one person had already paid and left, when the server decided he'd forgotten to add the extra $2.50 for jalapeños to his order, so hoped it was OK that he put it on mine. Really? And $2.50 for a couple of slices of jalapeños? I mean, this IS a Mexican restaurant... those should probably come in every meal

We came here on cinco de mayo and ordered fajitas,a bit disappointing that they gave only 2 tortillas for the whole meal and when asked for a few more charged 2$. It’s not the $2 it’s restaurants getting chincy on small stuff like this. They got my $2 but lost me as a future client

TERRIBLE. The Cinco de Mayo Menu was trash. The food leaned more Tex-Mex than authentic Mexican, and the flavors were quite bland. My enchiladas rancheros, for instance, were a let down. Instead of the vibrant sauce and unique fillings I expected, it seemed like regular cheese enchiladas with some random pork, peppers, and onions added on top. If you're looking for a truly delicious and authentic Mexican dining experience in Orlando, I'd recommend checking out Agave Azul, Las Carretas, El Molcajete, or Anejo. These restaurants consistently deliver on flavor and atmosphere. Perhaps one of them could take some inspiration and bring a fresh, more authentic experience to Señor Tequila!

Service was excellent. The food was pretty generic to me. I was very ill and nausea the rest of the night. I can't pinpoint the food because no one else was ill. However that experience will keep me from returning.

The management here is a joke. I asked for the manager and he literally sent the server back over to ask what the problem was. $15 quesadilla was a 1/2 quesadilla with 1 tablespoon of guacamole. After he finally came over and I questioned the price for food which he could care less about or even understand English, then went over to share with his employees our conversation!… Super unprofessional, as they looked over at our table. The owner need to quality check his management.

It was OK. It wasn't anything special. No hot sauces were available or offered. An inquiry was made for it. The location was convenient.

We enjoy coming to Senor Tequilas, but we are also recognizing that the increase in prices are much beyond the normal increases of other restaurants. So that is something to consider when visiting here. Expect to spend 15% to 20% beyond normal inflation of prices.

This afternoon I got to experience this restaurant. It was a great time to try this place out. The food that I ordered was a Blackberry Mint alcoholic drink and Nachos Supremos. It was delicious! They also give you complimentary chips and salsa. The service was good and the waitress was very patient and knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was very pleasant there was also an outside patio area which was very spacious and had a lot of seating. Overall it was a wonderful lunch choice and I plan on returning. That’s all.

Never had a problem with this restaurant loved it every time we went until last night. I mix up with what the waitress told us and then got charged extra for something that she said that we wouldn't get charged for. brought the manager over the manager said I'm not doing anything about this I'm not changing the bill you're going to pay this amount, the waitress was brought over and she said nothing just kept her eyes down and then they had someone standing behind my guests at the booth like we were going to cause trouble or something I just cannot believe this actually happened to us. I think I'll stay away from this place for a while just everyone double-check what you're ordering because they'll change it at the drop of. They charge one of my guests a dollar something for a quarter size dollop of sour cream.

This place is always amazing!! The Enmoladas are my favorite!! So flavorful!! And the queso with chorizo is the perfect appetizer !! KENYER was great! One my favorites in lower clermont!

There is no Horchata, Jamaica, or Tamarindo sold here. I'm very disappointed. If you are going to call your place Mexican, you have to sell these staple drinks. Also, the food is very salty.

5 star food, great service and generous portions. The prices are reasonable. My only complaint about this restaurant is that it is so loud, the music from some seats is blaring making it a little uncomfortable.

Really solid experience here. Staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we entered. Our server Marie was pleasant, attentive, and provided excellent service. It wasn't crazy busy, but regardless, our food came out insanely fast, maybe 10 minutes max from time of putting in the order. We got the flautas, and they were amazing. Will definitely come back in the future!

Place was empty on a Thursday during happy hour which should tell you something. We were the only people in the restaurant and service was extremely slow and very inattentive. We ordered fajitas for 2 with steak and the waitress ran off without asking how we wanted the steal nor what type of tortillas we wanted. We received our order had to ask for the tortillas we actually wanted and there was more onions and peppers in the skillet than steak probably around 6oz or steak in there if that. I had to get up to get a to go box because even being the only people in the restaurant our server disappeared on us. Margaritas were mostly syrup and super sweet We had to go to rookies cantina down the street to order to go food for our daughter and get decent margaritas afterwards. This place has really gone down hill from when it opened.

We were the only people in resteraunt at 4pm and services was slow and aweful and food was sub par.

Update 2023: what can I add? Year after year, this is consistently the best restaurant in the area. The food is great, service is top notch and the prices are just right. After coming here since its opening, every time give us a pleasant surprise. Great margaritas, chile verde, chile colorado, steak tampiqueño, and now Pollo Loco. Amazing flavor, great presentation, service and prices.

The best shrimp and pastor tacos in the area!!!! If u wanna eat great tacos u can wait with a delicious Skinny margarita and some guacamole ranchero that is amazing. Service very good and space very very clean. Definitely I'll back to enjoy the delicious food there. 5 stars for this delicious food in this restaurant. Angie the waitress is the best!

POOR SERIVICE!!!! We got at the restaurant at 9 pm and got our food at the table at 10:45 pm , wait for almost 2 hours!!!!!! even other table have been served first even tho they arrived after us , so disappointed of the service and we talked with the manager JULIO GONZALES , only thing he said it was nothing , that he couldn’t do anything about this situation ,very bad feedback from the manager, we have 4 kids with disabilities and wait more time than other people that arrive after us, very bad experience specially for our children that 1 of then fall sleep before food were served, too disappointed!!!!

It took asking 3 waitstaff for check and I still had to go inside 10 minutes later and wait for it. Then I paid them for them to then tell me it was more it showed¿? Who does that? I had waited 20 minutes now, my friend had to leave 15 minutes prior. I didn't leave a tip, as there was noone there and atleast 7 servers standing around, folding napkins, and I still had to walk into bar to get my change!!! We had been sitting outside. They do betta when they are slammed then today. If I eva go back, I will make sure things are different with check

This place is clean and quiet, and the service is outstanding. The menu is well illustrated. Our server, Yadira, was excellent. The food is well-presented, hot, and delicious. Their Guacamole 🥑 is a must. We ordered the Birria Tacos and Tacos al Pastor, which were both delicious. We will definitely come back to try some other dishes

They didn't let us sit outside because we were more than 4 people. So, they kicked us out and they weren't willing to put two tables next to each other so 5 of us can sit. They were so rude and mean. Unbelievable!

Co-worker brought me to this restaurant and it was fantastic! I ordered the birria tacos and a large Modelo (emphasis on LARGE). The quality of the food was phenomenal and did I mention that the Model was large? We were promptly greeted upon entering the restaurant and decided to sit outside. The menu had some awesome items that I'll eventually work my way through in the near future. Portion size was a bit small but honestly for that quality of food, I'm 100% going back. Do yourself a favor and grab a large Modelo too.

Good experience overall no real complaints. The restaurant was clean and tidy and and the staff was friendly. They we not the most attentive but it was not much of a problem and we did have a large party so that may have also affected the service but still it could have been better in my opinion. The food was pretty good. I had the carne asada make your own tacos. Nothing was gonna knock your socks off but overall it was not to bad.

We stopped in for a late dinner. Greeted like I was part of the family. Server was a bit light on English but extremely helpful and humorous. Great time with excellent food.

It's been a long time since I visited this place. Nicole was great with her customer service. The blue crab queso with spinach was great. I ordered tacos al pastor as my main course. I must say this is the first time a Mexican restaurant only serves 2 tacos instead of 3 (standard). Al pastor meat was tasty but it was a little pricey for only 2 tacos doesn't seem like a good deal when all Mexican restaurants I've been to serve 3 tacos (standard). I would prefer only 2oz of beans and rice and 3 tacos it would be worth it. There's room for improvement for sure.

Best Mexican food around. Their drinks are amazing! They make the margaritas nice and strong and they have a lot of flavors. The staff is very friendly and we love going when it's not too hot outside so we can sit outside with our dog. We always have a great time here.

It's been a while i haven't eaten fried whole fish and as soon as I saw it on the menu I ordered right away. Not a big fan of tilapia but that's the only fish they have for frying. To my surprise, the fish was so good. It was served with rice and vegie salad on the side. Highly recommended. Service is great and the ambiance too. Will definitely come back.

It's an OK Mexican restaurant. Nothing outstanding. But, I would go back. We went on a weird day. They were doing a photo shoot in the booth behind us (I guess for a new menu?). Why we weren't seated in a more desirable area, I don't know. The restaurant was pretty much empty, so why were we seated there? Just odd.
