We have been invited for a small event at the lunch time. We drove from North NJ. The food is delicious and very good prepared. Service is great. All stuff are very friendly, polite and professional. What a beautiful experience. All food was fresh and delicious. Service was great. We spent a lot of time looking at the art on the walls and other cultural trinkets. Very good vibes.

We were curious to try this meal and I am so glad we came. This was one of those meals where on the first bite you start wondering when you can come back. Everything we ordered was a 10/10. We ordered the chicken Tabaka which was basically the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. It’s crispy and flavorful but still light. It also comes with a refreshing salsa-like dip which was phenomenal. We also got the Pavlov, which is Uzbek fried rice with lamb. I don’t typically like lamb and I inhaled this. My husband said it was one of the best fried rices he’s ever had (high praise from a Filipino!). We also got the dumplings (FYI expect a 40 minute wait for these, we got them at the end of the meal instead of it being an appetizer, but was well worth the wait). The dumplings were melt in your mouth good. I’m so happily surprised with this place, one of those places that should be packed every night but is a hidden gem. We will be back!!!

We had high hopes for this restaurant. We were in the mood to try something different since we had tried Georgian food in the area several months prior. Disappointingly, the owner, who waited on us, was no help with the menu. We tried really hard to get him to recommend some dishes but he showed no interest. We had some hits and some misses. Overall, much of the food was heavy and lacking in flavor. One and done here.

Anyone craving Central Asian food has come to the right place. The service is second to none (especially from Frank) and the desserts are delicious and come in generous portions. Also, the Uzbek decorations make your eating experience cozy and authentic.

Shirin cafe takeout was such an amazing experience. I placed the order online and Albert (the owner) called back almost immediately to confirm it. We had guests over so we ordered quite a lot as we wanted to try different things( lagman, manti, 3 types of salads, pelmeni, bunch of kebabs and etc). Being from uzbekistan i was a bit skeptical at first but the food blew us all away. Everything was so delicious, fresh and really authentic. Albert is such a gracious host. What a delightful surprise we fell upon! Shirin is such a lovely place that takes you away for a short spell filled with culture. Four of us had lunch on a weekday at Shirin's Cafe which is in a strip mall on Rt. 9 South. The restaurant is small and appropriately decorated to accompany the Russian/Uzbek cuisine. We began with bread, the Rendezvous salad (mixed at the table), and the Chuchvara (small dumplings with dill on the side). We split two entrees, Uzbek Plov (rice, veggies, and lamb) and the Lyulya Kebab (ground lamb on a very large skewer surrounded by onion slices. We finished our meal with 4 pieces of the Sochinskiy cake (honey and custard), and black Uzbek tea. Total bill came to about $82. All of us were delighted with each item. Probably the dumplings were the least interesting but still good. The other items were great and that honey cake tastes as good as it looks with its many layers (likely more difficult to assemble).
