We are local and have been going there for past 7-8 years. Unfortunately the food quality has gone down so as the atmosphere. We stop going there for now.

My friend invited me here for my birthday. It’s located in a cute shopping center that’s the only special thing about. There is nothing special about the restaurant ambiance or the food. The food quality maybe pretty good but food taste over all is not all that. It actually lack flavor in my opinion. The best thing we tried was the sea-bass roll which was pretty good. The crispy spicy tuna was good but not exceptional. The albacore sashimi was really good quality wise. The food over all lacks flavor. The desert was a disappointment we got a coupe items which was ice cream and fried bananas and ice cream and some type apple kinda turnovers. A restaurant that does not offer great tasting deserves can never be a 5 star restaurant. presentation overall was average and the service was average too. The best thing about the experience was the saki. The reason I give this place a 2 star is as follows. When a restaurant is a four dollar sign that means that it is a fine dining place. So I am grading it based on a fine dining experience. If it was a 3 dollar sign then it would be like 3.5 star and if it was 2 dollar sign then it would be a 4.5 star. In my opinion based on a fine dining sushi place this is the rating. 4 for Sashimi 2 for rolls 0 for desert 2 for ambiance 2 for service

Need I say more? WOW. Came here on the recommendation of a client and holy moly it’s soooo delicious. We made 4 choices (blackened miso cod, toro hand roll, yellow tail hand roll, and picachu roll). I can’t imagine anything not being delicious on their menu. Perfect amount of food for 2 people. We also got 1 side of rice to share and 2 hot green teas. It’s very fresh and you can taste the quality of the ingredients and how much the chefs design their menu. Thank you for a meal we won’t forget! Ambiance is relaxed and unpretentious, staff is incredibly polite and really care about making your meal perfection.

Their 3 app specialities (noted on their listing note above: halibut/hirame carpaccio with sundried tomatoes & kobe beef sashimi & albacore tuna sashimi) & my requested Sunomono with 3 seafood app were VERY GOOD & memorable, but sadly pretty much everything else was NOT…kinda mediocre tasting, the final entree the Chicken Teriyaki barely eatable & they FORGOT to bring the included rice with it even.

Hacer resevaciones.

Myself and 3 business colleagues came here on a recommendation. Slightly out of the way on the outskirts of town, but getting there via Mulholland Drive and its views, made the effort all the more worth it. Sat in the corner of a small mall, you wouldn’t immediately know what lay beyond its doors. As for the food.....outstanding. I’ve never eaten sushi before, I’m more of a steak man, but wow this was good. We had the chefs special - about 10 different types of sushi, each one playing with our taste buds. No rush - great service....not cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for most times and this was certainly one of them. Highly recommended

We ate here for lunch based on TA reviews and found it to be good but not great. The atmosphere and service were good but the food was slightly above average. Based on the reviews and location our expectations were not met. It's certainly worth eating here and, to be fair, we did not sample the great majority of the menu.

A quaint sushi place nestled in a very high end strip mall close to the the top of Beverly Glenn Rd in Bel Air. Service is excellent; no attitude, smiling hostesses and attentive and knowledgeable wait staff. Food is very good but not change your life sushi like our personal favourite - in London - Yashin Sushi. Plates are flavourful and well prepared - the crispy risotto with tuna is a solid dish and a nice variation on traditional crispy rice. The rolls are solid in favour but felt a little mushy in the mouth. The rock shrimp tempura had good flavour but could have been hotter and crispier - as a tempura should. Something brought up by other reviewers - the food comes quickly once it starts coming. So, unless you want to be in and out in 45 minutes, I suggest you tell them to slow down or simply order 1-2 plates at a time so that you can pace yourself. In the end, you won't go wrong here. But, if you are looking for that "change your life experience" - this place will come up a little short.

Recomendable lugar!

This is one of my go-to places. Food is excellent and sometimes transcendent. Service is outstanding. Many good Japanese restaurants have no charm visually but this one is nice inside. Good wine list too, and if you don't see what you want, ask for the list from next door.

We've dined here three times now, and each time came away impressed by the quality and creativity of the sushi. Several menu items added non-traditional ingredients that worked. The chefs seem to have fun with what they do, and present plates that are also visually pleasing. Standout dishes include the lobster ceviche, tuna carpaccio, and Picachu roll. The acoustics leave something to be desired, as when it gets past halfway full, it gets loud. Go early or late and avoid the crowds. No full bar, but a small wine list that covers the bases.

Excellent food, but extremely loud. You literally have to shout to be heard. The service on a Saturday night is iffy. I had to ask for water 3 times before I finally got it. Things come in the wrong order, but you are grateful to get your food so do not quibble. The sushi is the freshest. Melted in my mouth. I also ordered the miso marinated black cod which was just delicious as was the sautéed shrimp with asparagus and shiitake mushrooms. i ordered rice for both of them just so I would feel full. If I went there again I would be there when they opened up during a week night. :-))) and I would order more sushi -yellowtail and butterfish. Yum. I did order a chili and garlic marinated calamari with baby bok choy, but when it came the calamari was woefully overcooked. The manager took it back promptly and I ordered the sautéed shrimp instead. When the bill came, the calamari was still on it, so check your bill!! The ambiance is not to my liking, but it is far better than most other Japanese restaurants. Too many people crammed into a small room. Chairs are made so you do not want to sit that long. They serve beer , sake and wine only. And then there is the noise level!! Did I mention that already? All hard surfaces with nothing to absorb the sound. It just bounces around the room and you can hear everyone conversations! But try it once as the food is really exceptionally delicious!!

We went for an early supper this week and were surprised to see so many children of all ages, enjoying their sushi and behaving beautifully. We had a 3-year old sushi fan with us, who was an absolute star. On the restaurant's side, high-chair-no problem, some items without wasabi-no problem; items for our little friend served first without asking. Adult dishes (including all 3 carpaccios) delightful. Expensive but worth it.
