Great food ...when they don't run out of it when it is all you can eat. Waitress was rude, short with us and unpleasant. We will go back with hopes she is gone and they have plenty of food.

Fun Wisconsin supper club with good Wisconsin old fashions

Food is always good. But I did not finish my ribs because I didn't feel great after sitting down ate my shrimp,some of my ribs. But I could not finish them. My partner asked for a reorder of both. Because of that, I could not take mine home. I think they should rethink that. I do understand you can not order food and expect to take it home. And I did not do that

The Silver Lake Country Inn offers great food at great value! I was equally impressed by the service given that the place was PACKED by 5PM and I can understand why. From the tasty $5 Tall old fashions to the Shrimp and Ribs special under $20 everything was good with the Silver Lake Baked Onion Soup with a carrot base being the star of the show! Definitely worth a visit and bring cash. 4.75/5

The onion and the potato soup are full and uniquely -flavored..not like the usual pre entree soups found in other 5 star restaurants. It was the nostalgia of the atmosphere, staff and the most excellent taste of our ribs, shrimp and other entrees that gave us the desire to return. All of us left the Country Inn talking about when we could return...and wanting more of what we just enjoyed. Diane K.

I would give 4.5 stars if I could due to the tight seating (the restaurant is small) and you can’t use a credit card for the bill. Cash or check only. All of our food was excellent (steak and ribs)and at good pricing. Can’t find a $4 old fashioned anywhere these days. We will definitely be back!

Hidden gem outside of west bend! Had the all you can eat ribs and shrimp which came with your choice of potato and a soup or salad! Great prices and very quick service. Got there right at 4 when they opened but it got pretty busy very quickly.

Great dinner; just make sure you take enough cash as they do not take credit cards!!

Customer service was excellent, food was excellent, everything about this place was great. Tables look a bit cramped on the inside, but awesome otherwise. One tip is Make sure you bring either cash or check. They do not accept cards. However there is an ATM for convenience which was nice. 10/10 would recommend.

Silver Lake Inn is a fairly typical Wisconsin dinner bar, with a charm and menu unique to these establishments from last century. Seating was kind of crowded, the small bar was full, it was noisy, and the wait staff was hopping to keep up with a full house. They had a limited menu but their selections were well prepared and tasted good. Nice place for a relaxed dinner.

Busy little quaint restaurant. The old fashioned's are excellent. I was disappointed that they ran out of fried cod, but the walleye and shrimp was delicious. The onion rings were wonderful. I can't wait to go back.

Great food, wonderful staff. Bring cash they don't take plastic. All you can eat ribs and shrimp, excellent. We managed to get in without a reservation, but recommended. Nice little lake nearby.

Ok this time not good at all. Thursday rib night. They cook the living hell out of the ribs (probably steamed) until all the “flavor” is gone and then slap on one of two sauces and heat them up again. Sure they fall off the bone but all I tasted was the sauce. I couldn’t finish what they gave me because it tasted like just bbq sauce. The wife got sick on the walleye. No more visits from us… Oh …and I had to change seats because the old guy hostess standing there rocking back a forth next to me was extremely annoying!!! And why just cash??? That’s just lazy. Guess you didn’t see the no more visits…. Hidden gem that’s funny. Crowded and cramped. The bar is OK.

This place!! Short ceilings, walking room (maybe), limited parking, loud as hell; there's a magical, cozy BUZZ about the place and it's chaos on Fish night or when packed. And because it's wild and almost legendary, we still love it and we return again and again.The food is good, the servers care & work hard and the drinks are reasonable and strong. Always a memorable occasion. ---> CASH only! Bring some.

Be sure and make a reservation. This place is very busy from 4pm on. We enjoyed a Peach old fashion, and a regular old fashion. Both were excellent and very reasonably priced. On this day we took advantage of an all you could eat special. We chose the perch and fan tailed shrimp. Paired it with a couple of soup and French fries. Our waitress Laura was on point with our drinks, food, and refills of our entries. We definitely will be back. Check out their daily specials.

This place is small and very busy on a Friday. Made reservations, sat within 10 min. Really good food and service. Donna was great. Very reasonable prices. Not a lot of parking, carpool if you can.

Very limited menu. The food was good. The waitress and bartender were great. The only thing we didn't like was we got seated in the bar. Very crowded. Otherwise, everything was great.

Went for the Wednesday all you can eat peel and eat shrimp, battered shrimp and perch. Excellent food and great service. Very cramped and busy...definitely make reservations.

Fantastic little supper club! Our party of 9 all raved about how great the perch was, and the BBQ ribs were super tender. The drinks are reasonably priced and the waitress and bartenders were very friendly. A great Wednesday night dinner!

We had a 6pm reservation did get seated till 7pm didn’t get our food till 8pm.They over booked. The steak ahead was very tough. People that we’re seated after us finished eating before we even got our food.

Delicious food. Cozy dining room with crackling fireplace. Attentive, cheerful staff. Charming “up north” atmosphere. Highly recommend the grilled chicken mushroom au gratin sandwich. A+

Best ribs and sides I’ve ever had ANYWHERE.

Excellent food, very reasonably priced~much lower than other supper clubs around Wisconsin. Drink prices were also more than acceptable and wine glasses had generous pours. Will be back.

Hidden gem is exactly the correct term for this place. We just had our first visit, and we will be back - even though it's an hour drive for us. Everything was spot on and at very reasonable prices. And watch out for the $4 old Fashioneds, because they don't skimp on the booze one bit, lol.

Kate I know you are getting married but you gotta get your bartender situation squared away. Too much to list, newbie doesn't ever look up,ever, idk how she even gets orders. That bag of dust gave me daggers for laughing too loud.Would have loved to celebrate Nora but that thing made joyfeel awkward. Neither of them like swear words. My mind is blown Kate,smmfh.

Up north supper club atmosphere. Gets VERY busy and has limited seating. Donna, our waitress, was attentive and I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup. Fast and efficient. Limited parking and priced very reasonably.

Been going there for years had a reservation and we went to the bar and waited then they came and got us and we waited went back to sit at bar then 15 minutes later we got seated then waited another 10 minutes for a waitress gave order then waited half hour for food then after we ate another 15 minutes to get the bill don't know what's going on there was enough staff but I've never had this happen don't know if this is going to keep happening they did have a birthday party come in and I think that they got catered to as we waited but we were already settled and order in so it shouldn't have taken so long to get food and the bill just a little confused

Wait staff was rude and very abrupt. Atmosphere was loud and claustrophobic. Parking was a nightmare

Very crowded. Loud. Maybe 18 tables and hardly any room to walk. I don't recommend someone coming that's in a wheelchair. Floor was uneven and hard to walk on. Very tight walk ways. Hard not to walk into someone else. Ceiling definitely needed repair. As well as I spilled my water and no one stopped to help at all. Noticed some staff saw and didn't even offer to grab paper towels. Thankfully we had a few napkins there. Which is why I am giving it 2 stars. Wish there were bigger windows a view to the woods or water. But there wasn't. Food - my husband got the fish, he said it was good... I enjoyed the cheese curds, a bit pricy. Rest of the food... was good EXCEPT for the filet mignon... That was DRY & VERY over cooked. Both my daughter & I got it & we were highly disappointed but hungry. Waitress asked if we would like her to do something but I was already over half way done eating it and she was looking to take my whole plate, so I said no. I was surprised that there was nothing taken off the meal though for the overcooked food. Ever eat dry steak? You need a sauce or drink to go with it... Well drinks weren't filled as much as I'd have liked. I drink lots of water and with that, it was hard but having it available when we ran out. Was not bad, but the steak was disappointing and you can't really have a conversation unfortunately. First time that's happened for us at a super club.

New owner Bill is keeping his word and food is always Great like it has been for more than 25 years or more I have been going . Great bartender like Marcella make you feel like at a up north Lodge with great drinks . All great staff old and new.

The ribs are delicious. The cheese curds, fried mozzarella, potato skins, shrimp (peel & eat, fried), salad, cheesy broccoli soup, etc etc were also great. Some of the best cheesecake I’ve had. Great food and great people.

The ribs were not very well cleaned before they were cooked. The silver skin on the back of the ribs was still there so when you pull them apart on your plate this long slimy silver skin was on your. Desk and pulled that was very disgusting that should be removed before they cook ribs the shrimp was very small and tasteless the waitress never came back. And asked us would you like some more not that we would have Because I was very 2nd by when I tried to eat them ribs and pull it into this long slimy thing from underneath the ribs attached to my. Plate I would not recommend this place because of the fact the ribs on silver skin should be always removed and it was not long slimy it was disgusting. The shrimp also were very small and if it was all you could eat. I feel she should have at least asked. Would you like some more no? She just started getting boxes from other people that were at our table that did not all eat all you could eat.

As always....great food and great service. Donna Z is the best hostess. Tracy was a great waitress. The cod and walleye were excellent. The homemade onion rings were excellent. Their homemade coleslaw is the best in the county. The homemade German Potato Salad....what can I say?? It was as good as my Granny's was!

This is a very quaint, charming little restaurant. It has that old-time supper club feel to it. The food is very good and the service is excellent.

1st time back since the new menu. Great additions, but kept the food that keeps us coming back. The Cod Fish Fry was outstanding. Especially love the crisp ice cold, delicious cole slaw.

Everything about our experience was fantastic. Top notch service and food! We were seated immediately (early, actually) for our 6pm dinner reservation on Valentine’s Day, it was very busy but everything ran like clockwork and it was evident that every guest was as happy as we were!

I have food intolerances (dairy and gluten). The staff, especially Nora, were very accommodating with my needs. Nora gave suggestions for me to eat due to shared friers. I had walleye baked in olive oil, baked potato and a salad. My husband had fried walleye, baked potato and coleslaw. Everything was delicious 😋 Thank you for accommodating my dietary needs.

Great atmosphere food and drinks

Today, on my birthday my fiancé decided to treat me to the establishment he’s patronized for over 20 plus years and when we called for reservations for 2, the young lady stated that they were not accepting reservations any longer as there was an 1 hr - 2 hr wait. We found that odd to not offer any additional options. So we decided to still go in and attempt for a reservation, when we arrived we were added to the list for the same timeframe given over the phone but was advised that food wasn’t served at the bar. Clearly the staff failed to communicate with each other because shortly after we ordered drinks, we were asked if we’d be eating at the bar. We’ve patronized several times and was really shocked with how we were misled. Dinner & drinks were great per usual!

Comfy place...like your in somebody's basement upnort.. especially the bar area... friendly place...very reasonable $$ great old fashioneds ...2nd. time eating there...will be back!!!

Went here on a Tuesday for the all you can eat ribs/shrimp. There was a short wait even with the reservation, but it was worth it. Ribs were fall off the bone. Fried shrimp was ok, peel and eat were better. Service was hands down the best I've ever had for a family style restaurant. Drinks were unbelievably priced! Old fashioned for $3? Unheard of. Even if it was well liquor, that was crazy cheap. Amazing what a place can price themselves at when it's cash only. Definitely a place to experience.

Not worth the hype. Cash or check only, no free refills on soda (which was 3/4 ice in a shorter glass), rib were good, peel and eat shrimp were fishy tasting, deep fried ones were better.

We went for the all you can eat ribs and shrimp. We had a party of 6 an a couple of us had tenderloin. The French onion soup was really good. And the potato skins were the best I have had in a long time. Only note is , this place is small . Don't expect to have a ton of room. But you can expect to have a great dinner.

My all time favorite place to go. Their french onion soup is to die for! Me and my family have been coming here for over 15 years and it never fails to impress. Definitely recommend!! Just remember to make a reservation and bring cash as they dont take card :)

The food here is always very good. But Saturday we also had the best service we've had in a very long time at any restaurant in the area. Nora was absolutely awesome and priceless in her own right. Great Friday Fish Fry! Walleye with Steak Fries, Colesaw, tartar sauce, & a roll.

We have come here for their fish frys for many years. The fish frys are awesome. This vist was for their all you can eat ribs, peel and eat shrimp, deep fried shrimp or a combination of two. It was amazing!! Don't think too hard the dinner is cheap and very good. All the pwople working there are super nice. You will enjoy it. It is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Go!!

Cute little country inn with limited parking, fantastic food, quite crowded on the inside. The service and the waitress was phenomenal and very accommodating. The only negative was the drinks which we ordered Southern Comfort old-fashioned and whiskey old-fashioned and neither one was right. However that was a minor point to celebrate our 48th anniversary there. We found the note on the inside of our car several days later in which someone named Luke hit our car. However, the damages were very minor and we were able to fix it quickly and make a new friend with luke.

On the shore of Silver Lake, this little restaurant/bar has character, cheap drinks, nice staff and good, affordable food, but it can be really cramped - I highly recommend a reservation. I wanted to try the filet, but they were out; my substituted NY strip was excellent. My hubby got the Saturday night All You Can Eat Ribs and Battered Shrimp and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone and he had a second helping of shrimp. I'm guessing this is mainly a locals kind of place - might be quieter after boating season. I'd go again.
