The name alone garnered the need for a visit. The food did not disappoint and had my son asking could he have some of my salad! I will be back.

Incredibly inventive delicious food! Each dish was amazing, couldn't pick a favorite. We had the Bok choy, tomato toast (?) , and bowl of food (which was a green curry that day). Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing and priced at a good value. Having to take your own order was silly though. No one around to ask about the food or order more drinks from. I guarantee you could keep the prices the same and the cost would be offset by higher per table spending.

All of the staff were great and went above and beyond to make my birthday feel celebrated! Of course the food was also great and I wish there were more places like it!

The wait staff was rather snotty and rude. Even though there were only two people at the bar it was impossible to just get a drink.

What a delightful spot! Friendliest bartender we have ever met. And he made a perfect sazerac to boot! Kid friendly with a coloring page + crayons 🖍️ all the way up to closing. Kid tip- if you order the Mac & cheese for a youngster, recommend getting the spice grumble topping on the side. It isn’t very spicy but has a lot of flavor!

Love this place. My wife is mostly vegetarian and loves everything she's tried. I'm a carnivore, but try to eat healthy. My go to option here is the Reuben. It's so good, I crave it. Ask for extra kraut.

Wow! I wish I could take this place with me back to Florida. If you enjoy savory cocktails and pickled foods, this is so good! There are plenty of non pickled stuff as well but it's rare to find savory beverages and I absolutely loved it!!! Highly recommend!

I visited the Sneaky Pickle for dinner on June 6, 2024, with my brother and sister. We're from Connecticut, and we had been told about the Sneaky Pickle being good for vegetarians. Rachel and the staff did not disappoint us. The food was good, and the ambience was nice. Parking is also free (it is on the street), and the restaurant was easily accessible. The food was a bit pricy, but worth it. There is some nice merchendise, too. Overall, we had a good experience.

New Orleans is definitely not the easiest place to be a vegetarian. And what you do find is all fried. Fortunately for us a sweet employee at an art studio suggested the Sneaky Pickle. Off the beaten path - it was about a 10 minute Uber ride from the French Quarter, but worth every penny! Super cute atmosphere and lovely staff, it was no surprise the food was amazing! We started with the Special Taco (Chanterelle Mushrooms) and the Tofu Taco - and savored every single bite of both. And, the Daily Bowl of Food (beans, rice, veggies, etc) was the perfect amount of spice to feel authentically New Orleans and definitely stick to the ribs in the best way. We also had the Reuben, which was very good-not amazing-but very good. Although the homemade fries made up for what the Reuben was lacking. We highly recommend the Sneaky Pickle and will definitely be back!

Awesome all the way around. Come hungry. Seriously good food, great vibes and lotsa fun. I recommend the Clams In Miso Dashi and Hand Ripped Squid Ink Noodles. At least 4 friends told me to come here. Great spot to get away from the crowds

Having come from Connecticut to New Orleans on vacation, I got this restaurant as a recommendation. It didn't disappoint. Rachel did a very good job as a waitress. The dishes were great, and the restaurant's special hot sauce was a fine finish.

Had a fantastic experience here! The gnocchi is a show stopper. I don't even like beets or walnuts but this was very very well prepared. Super attentive service and friendly staff, gave us lots of local recommendations.

This place is FANTASTIC. Really reasonably priced and excellent food. Had lots of vegetarian and vegan options, plus the space is very welcoming.

Came to this one twice during my trip. Izz was kind and helpful in helping my choose between two pastas. The squid ink noodles were incredible in a thoughtfully flavored, creamy, sauce with some kick in spice. So good probably the best pasta I’ve ever had. Everything was well priced also, didn’t get the opportunity to try the lunch menu but if I were a local I’d come all the time! Great spot

Really happy I chose to have dinner here! At at the bar - the pear & seaweed salad was so different and delicious - the burger and strawberry rhubarb were great too. I’m glad I chose it. The folks behind the bar (and all the staff really) were kind and in good spirits! Loved the decor and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Everything we ordered here was excellent, as well as our service! The menu is well-curated and inventive while also having something that everyone I can think of would really enjoy. The buffalo tofu melts in your mouth and Aries season spirit free was great. We came back twice!

This is a gorgeous restaurant with a great vibe for an excellent date. The fried sunchoke appetizer was ***heaven***! So many flavors. (really amazingly great. I had a few bites of the gnocchi and it was pillowy, light goodness. Great cocktails--really excellent, and fairly pricey. As a tourist in town we walked there from the French Quarter towards dusk. The neighborhood was so charming, but utterly deserted. Definitely worth the hike, but maybe Uber or Lyft from French Quarter? We were told that to be safe we needed to take a taxi back to the French Quarter.

I loved this place. I had a lunch of Brussels sprout toast and lemonade there. Both were excellent. The place is rather quiet which is very pleasant.

With a name like Sneaky Pickle, we thought the menu would be full of pickle plates. We were wrong, but it's still worth visiting. It's more than worth visiting. It's among the best food we had while spending six days in New Orleans. Dining around 5:30 p.m. on a Wednesday in April, here's our experience. 1) Food: Everything we ate was delicious starting with the oysters and ending with the wagyu burger, which my seven-year-old daughter enjoyed too. The sunchokes are unique and worth ordering. My mother-in-law loved the squid ink pasta and my wife really enjoyed the buffalo tofu lettuce wraps (what they are known for). 2) Drink: Their menu includes cocktails, beer, wine, and more. I ordered a rainbow sherbet sour ale. My wife liked their brine drink for a savory option. 3) Service: From the hostess to the server, everyone was kind, efficient, and welcoming. Our food was perfectly timed. 4) Space: It's beautiful with a large indoor dining room and a bar. There are two unisex restrooms in the back near the stairs to the second level, which I assumed was for staff only. 5) Area: We found free street parking nearby. Located inside Bywater, it's a great neighborhood to walk around after dinner, finding little houses and parks. For dessert, we walked to nearby Big O's Original Popsicle Doorbell.

Walked in without reservation on Saturday night and they were able to seat us within 20mins. Food is delicious with tons of veg and non-veg options. Cocktails were really good - the pho infused gin cocktail was my favorite Service is a bit odd, our server was amazing but when food came around it seemed like any staff at the restaurant could grab it and almost dump it on the table. Bit of an odd contrast.

The food was great the vegan and meat options were very tasty, although the burger was small despite the huge bun but then again it's wagyu... the dessert of rice pudding was honestly my favorite part lol our server was fantastic, easy to communicate and on top of things. The host seemed pretty stuck up and was off setting, but it was a quick interaction... I do recommend a reservation but you don't need one.

Binh at the bar is amazing! Knowledgeable, personable, and tends the hell out of the bar. Try the spicy tequila drinks! :)

Highlight of my culinary experience in New Orleans Fish dip: excellent starter!!! Tuna tataki was good Black eyed peas dip was enjoyed Squid link pasta: well balanced, a little kick, not overcooked, good texture noodles Friends said the gnocchi was "the best they've ever had" One of the few places truly with good options for vegetarians. We all loved our server as well. Call to get a reservation for a group.

We went to bar brine... a bit of a wait, but we went across the street and had drinks, which worked out well. Service was great. I had the veggie Reuben (one of my standard orders) and it was fabulous.

Best vegan food I've ever had. I highly recommend the pear seaweed salad appetizer. Friendly and quick service. We needed reservations and were able to book 24 hours in advance.

Enjoyed dinner here and had an incredible experience all the way around. Our server, Otto, had awesome energy and made us feel great about our choices. The Moon Moth drink was the best cocktail I’ve ever had and dinner/desert were delish.

I got a sunset boulevard (non alcoholic Cocktail) it was so good! First cocktail I've had, and it came with a grapefruit wedge and was infused with thyme and tea. I got yam cashew grits with greens and vegan Mac n cheese flavored with 'cashew cheese'. It was mouth watering !

Best bar in the Bywater. Food is outstanding, service staff is a cut above the best, and the drinks are cosmic. Lindsay & Bin were our spirit guides for the night. Best bar service I've ever had.

I was so excited for my meal at Bar Brine. My group of 6 enjoyed our drinks (creative, delicious cocktails). Apps were also tasty and punctual. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. Without any updates from our server, food took about an hour to arrive. Everyone’s dishes were under-salted and “off” in some way (burger buns were much too big for the patties + cold + served without French fries; squid ink pasta was flavorless and very chewy). Something must have been up in the kitchen! Which I understand, but was confused as to why our server never said anything or apologized for the tardiness of our orders. Disappointing!

Great spot for the family! The food was delicious and with menu items that are the opposite of basic. The cocktails! So amazing and clever! Seaweed bitters, what? Also great zero proof options. Great vegan and GF options on the menu. Staff was attentive and informed.

Great restaurant with some delicious vegan options. The tofu lettuce wraps eaten as a starter exceeded our expectations! I chose the mac n cheese mains, which was nice but needed more flavour. Upon arrival, we didn't have a reservation and there weren't any tables available inside but there was one outside. Service was therefore a bit slow, from being waited to getting food. I ordered a coffee and was asked if I wanted syrup, to which I said yes - and this was forgotten until requested again, and that came slowly. My friend's tea after dinner took so long that we cancelled it, along with dessert (but the options looked great!).

Service is a little above fast food with a subpar attitude from wait staff and management. There are so many amazing restaurants in New Orleans. Don’t waste your time here.

I’m going to give it a five stars, just because I would hate for the rating to go for a local business, unless it was unbearable! It’s always room for improvement! So, I had been going to the old building for years and this was my first time in the new building, beautiful place, the culture and vibe it had is gone. The workers are bland and barely friendly, the more you ask, the more unfriendly they become. Such a difference from the old upbeat atmosphere. The food was ok, lacked flavor, especially the Mac and cheese. You have for salt and they bring it, instead of each table having it. The to go plates are too small. It’s very clean and beautiful!! Over a draining, weird experience, hope to see it get better

Went here for our anniversary and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and drinks. We had the buffalo tofu wraps to start and I had the hand ripped squid ink noodles while my husband had the wagyu burger and everything was AMAZING 😍. For our drinks we each tried a cocktail. I had the death by sunset and my husband had the bywater bang. Both were pretty strong and tasted delicious. I can't wait to come back here again.

We ordered blk eyed pea and Flatbread, the marscapon and smoked fish, the braised carrots, the gnocchi, the Reubens, the squid noodles, rice pudding and chocolate cake. Everything was absolutely amazing. Service was PERFECT.

This is a cute local spot with a lot of buzzy youthful energy. Food was pretty good, Fried green tomatoes were great, also order a grilled fish, it was a bit heavy on the char for not having sauce or acidity. The fish was supposed to be served with citrus but there were only 2 small wedges of a tangerine/orange/grapefruit something, not sure, also said it had a fennel salad, which there was very little of. The fish would have greatly benefited from more brightness those two things probably were meant to deliver. It was well prepared otherwise, and I would eat it again. We ordered cocktails, she had the martini, I had a tiki inspired long drink Martini was well made and I recommend it. The rum drink was a bit thin and felt watered down, I think it could use more alcohol or higher proof rum blended with it, and a bit more sugar, It's worth trying if your not familiar with tiki flavors, but maybe skip this one if you are. Overall it is a cute date spot and even though it didn't rock my world, I would recommend it to anyone. I will eat here again.

Snotty service with a side of extra nasty attitude. Afternoon Bartender made my Margarita-ish order wrong TWICE (first with Vodka and then with a random off-menu concoction) and had a horrible, unapologetic attitude when I asked him to make it correctly (as advertised). Zero apology. Zero Fox Given. I'm the one paying $20+ dollars and he slammed the sloppy re-makes down as if I was doing HIM the favor. Too Brooklyn. Save your money and go to Anna's instead where the cocktails are done right the first time.

A great place to get yummy vegan food as well as something for the meat eaters- my husband said it was the best burger he’s ever had and I enjoyed the vegan rueben!

Went for an anniversary dinner with my wife. We had the martinis, squash rings, squid ink pasta and the steak. Everything was so well thought out. Food was amazing. Very inclusive atmosphere and great customer service. Can’t wait to come back

Just a wonderful evening all the way ‘round. The food, by itself was so good, but our server, Laura was so friendly and solicitous, making our visit all the more enjoyable. I had the Bar Brine Martini that was decidedly briny, with gin (unnamed), fino sherry, dry vermouth, brine, and seaweed bitters, accompanied by a garnish ‘adventure’, a skewer of assorted garnishee. An amuse bouche for sure. My wife and I both had the tomato soup, almost a bisque with sun choke and tarragon oil. Her main was the honeynut squash gnocchi and mine the mussels and clams with sourdough bread. Both were delicious and satisfying enough that we couldn’t bring ourselves to succumb to the temptation of dessert. Maybe next time.

I was very excited about the vegan mac and cheese after seeing so many positive reviews. However when I picked up my meal it wasn't even the size of a side (pic below with a water bottle for reference). I was confused because it cost how much a full dish would at most places ($16). I checked with a waitress and showed her the other pics that others had posted here. She empathized saying that she didn't understand why the restaurant charges more money for much less food in the evening - apparently lunch time is when they give the full plates that the other photos have posted. I think it's misleading to not indicate that portion does change in the evenings.

So good to see the new space for the Sneaky Pickle. Menu has been expanded and was incredible. Great seating inside. Parking can be a hit or miss. The Bartender Alex suggested we have their hamburger. It did not dissapoint. We will be back again

Purple cauliflower entree was the best thing I've eaten in my life.

Booked this restaurant because the menu looked good. Food was very mediocre/underwhelming. Service was awful & we had the first seating. Over an hour before we got our food & my mussels were room temp & so small it was ridiculous! Cocktails not good at all. Tried several & all were bad. We won’t be going back!

The food, atmosphere and staff are all good. My only complaint was that on a cold day it was cold inside and all three of us had to keep our coats on. We also found the pickles to be too sweet. One of us found them too sweet to enjoy.

Aesthetic place but food was mediocre and very pricey for quantity. Tried the mushroom wrap ⭐️⭐️⭐️and cauliflower entree which was definitely undercooked

I love Sneaky Pickle and have had several nice dinners at Bar Brine. I really miss having Sneaky Pickle as a dinner option, especially the vegan mac and cheese! I made a plan to have SP (specifically the mac and cheese) for dinner by ordering ahead (at 1:15pm) for pickup at the last time slot available (3:35pm), with the intention of eating the food later when my partner was off work. Unfortunately they ran out of mac and cheese just before it was time for my order to be made. I feel like there shouldn’t be an “order ahead” option if the kitchen can’t save food for those orders that are made in advance. I still love y’all, but I wouldn’t want to order ahead again.

So so good. I love finding veg/vegan options when traveling and everything we ordered was delicious. We had a fried romanesco taco, brussel sprout toast, & the Mac & cheese, all vegan. Mmmmm.

This is a delightful place! Super fresh ingredients, lots of vegan (and GF) choices, friendly staff… all around a great experience. We were there for New Year’s Eve and they did a fantastic job of making a festive atmosphere. New Orleans can be a challenging place to find vegan food so I was very happy to find Bar Brine. Will definitely go back next time I’m in New Orleans.

Such delicious vegan food and my cocktail was fabulous, too. I wish more creative, forward-thinking restaurants would put this level of attention on vegan food rather than slapping a beyond burger on the menu and calling it a day. Very highly recommended. My only regret is I was too full to try the plantain sundae!

Everything was exquisite. I thought prices were fair. Truly an outstanding food experience. All the flavors were perfect. Plus, staff was super friendly and attentive. One of my new favorite restaurants in New Orleans.

Delicious upscale dining spot. Food was unique and delicious, though it does suffer from the "high price for tiny portion" trope of upscale dining. However the food and atmosphere make up for that drawback. Staff was professional and friendly, and cocktails are delicious and worth pairing with your entree.

1. This place has all gender bathrooms. That means you don't have to wait to do your business. 2. The waitstaff is phenomenal. 10/10 service and ambience. 3. And the food is delicious. Like holy cow, I was blown away from the appetizers to the main course. You will not be disappointed here. This restaurant is a definite stop if you're looking for delicious food!

The food was really delicious and there was a lot of it. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I am dairy free. I found it easy to find good food options that accommodated what our restrictions are. The drinks were pretty good too.

We drove a bit to get here since it was a recommendation and it did not disappoint. The staff was lovely and there was no wait as we got there when it opened. I would say that some of the items like the squash salad and the non alcoholic drinks just didn't have any zing to remember but everything else: Mac & Cheese , mushroom and grits, squid ink pasta as all good. Remember it has Pickle and Brine in the name for a reason, some dishes where not what you would expected but we ordered the Mac and cheese to go for later as we really enjoyed it. We took our 2yo and he loved the food.

Our meal at Sneaky Pickle was the best meal of this NOLA visit! I'm not going to write it in ALL CAPS, but it deserves to be shouted. We had the okra special (roasted okra mixed with tomato, chickpeas, and heaven?), egg rolls with some out of this world chili aioli, and a tempeh reuben that still has me drooling. Holy cow. Can't wait to return and try the Bar Brine menu. My chef husband said he felt inspired. I just felt blissfully full!
