I had steak eggs Benedict, the steak was seared medium and very tender and juicy. The experience was great!

Busy for weekend brunch but nice service. The food was good and provided ample portions. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table.

The food and the service were wonderful. I had the biscuits and gravy with a side of hash browns. The hash browns were cooked perfectly.

I got the new Hampton potato casserole. Delicious. The king size was alot of food.

The food has no salt and no flavor. Looks great but no flavor

Stopped in for late breakfast, service was fast, portions were great mostly- I thought the omelet was a bit small, but good. Hash browns and pancakes were very good. Corned beef hash was sizable. Toast was big and good.

My husband and I went here this morning for a Saturday breakfast. We knew it would be busy but we’re pleasantly surprised to be seated right away at a clean table. We ordered some lattes - mediocre coffee - and then some food. My husband got the southwest burrito and I got the country skillet. The food came so quickly and there were big portions which was nice but unfortunately it was not good. It wasn’t salted, which isn’t completely bad as it’s easier to add salt than take away. But it also didn’t have any flavor at all. My dish was partly cold so I’m assuming it was reheated (which makes sense why it came so fast). The gravy was terrible, the country fried steak was chewy and the eggs were cold. My husband said his burrito was lacking flavor and tried adding salt and hot sauce but it didn’t help much. We both walking away not eating even half of our food. The only thing that tasted good was the pancakes. If I had only eaten those I would have enjoyed the experience. The waiter was nice but the service wasn’t exceptional. Being busy I’m sure he had lots of tables to wait on. Yet it seemed clear we didn’t like our food and yet he didn’t say anything. The cafe is clean and nice and has a good atmosphere. However, I don’t think we’ll be returning, especially after paying $50 for poor food.

This is our “go to” when traveling through Omaha. Home cooking with amazing pecan rolls and the best coconut cream pie ever! Always very friendly staff and prompt service even when they are busy!

It was a great place to meet out of town guests before heading to the airport. Entrance, parking, tables, bathroom, etc, made manurering a wheelchair easily.

This is our go to breakfast place. They of course have a great variety of food but we usually go there to get breakfast or lunch. The food is always good and service is great as well. They also have great pastery and cakes which is made right there. They also have drive thru pick up if you like to place your order in advance and pick it up. The hours during the week is 6 Am to 8 pm and I believe they close at 2 pm on Sundays.

Prices have gotten crazy. A hot turkey was $16. Compared to a good steak at a steakhouse is us way too much to spend. Salads were $14.

We r visiting from Virginia and we're looking for a good breakfast place. This place did not disappoint. My husband had the chicken fried steak with eggs and Hash browns, I had the pancake sandwich. It was really good. The pancakes were amazing. We went there on a Sunday morning around 9:30 and the place was busy. We were seated right away but when we left an hour later, the line to get seated was out the door. Great serice, great food. We would highly recommend.

Overall this place and Shirley's are the best places to eat in Omaha period.

A bit pricey but well worth the money. The food is fantastic and the portions are plentiful The service is well above expectations the most restaurants.

The last time I was there, it was an amazing experience. The seating is nice, and you have a little privacy. Food and coffee are excellent! I enjoy making the trip to eat with my family here.

Excellent choice of food! So many varieties. Staff is really friendly and attentive. Parking was clean and plentiful. Will definitely be back. Drive thru coffee was a bonus.

My family and I are not from around here. But this place knocked our socks off. The workers were polite and really nice. The workers all seemed clean cut and had their shirts tucked in. That may not seem important, but it makes a big difference. Most servers these days seem run down and tired, but not this place. The food was WAY better than just a normal restaurant. It really did have a home cooked meal kind of vibe. The dessert choices were to die for. The prices were great too.

Food was good but the service was not. Servers spilled ranch dressing all over my sandwich and then laughed about it.

The menu at the Summer Kitchen Cafe is diverse. They had a large selection of home made breakfast items served all day long, burgers, chicken, stir fry, salads, sandwiches, and many comfort foods. The pie was absolutely delicious and was a perfect end to a perfect dinner. One of my favorite things was that they offered a "lighter fare" which was a perfect serving size. Prices were reasonable at $11-$15 per plate. The service was friendly.

Stop by for a quick lunch and very impressed at the cleanliness and the rapid service my only complaint was I had a bowl of vegetable beef noodle soup which was overly salty but my wife's eggs and hash browns were excellent

I like the potatoes they used to serve. They were flat fried potato slices, and that made them unique. Hash browns are now the same as you can get anywhere. Not really a “potato Casserole “ anymore.

Had the chicken fried steak. It tasted like I would make it at home. Good stick to your ribs food. Good when you're wanting comfort food and nothing fancy.

Amazing food will diff recommend to family in future and can't wait try the other food's. Everything taste fresh and amazing. ( I am a cook) very picky.

Great food and service. I was especially impressed at how quickly they turned and served tables. Twice we came here and the lot was very full and I expected a long wait, but we walked in and were immediately seated and quickly had a waitress as well.

Not quite the old atmosphere but went close to closing so..I'm totally happy they are still around. Portions are large on many of the breakfast items although they have lunch &dinner options. I love that I was able to get a sugar free redbull smoothie &they do have keto options

Potato casserole and cinnamon rolls..mmmm. Denver casserole really hit the spot today. Dozen cinnamon rolls are fan favs at work.

The restaurant was packed with seniors, so it's a popular place. There was plenty of staff, but things seemed slow. The food was good, but the service was average.

Always great food, especially breakfast food all day. Took my bro from out of town and he loved it, took some food to go. Cinnamon rolls are great, breakfast burritos, omlettes, and casseroles over hashbrowns are so tasty variety for all.

Service was great but, food is not good quality for the price.. Ordered a half order of open face roast beef sandwich.. $15 and there was litterly 2 tablespoons of meat.. The potatoes are instant made.. For $15..?? I know prices are going up for various reasons but, this place is obsurd.. Waitress was excellent!

I LOVE the drive-thru breakfast option! Whenever I'm feeling breakfast-y I know that I can go to Summer Kitchen and get a good breakfast food that is not fast food.

Go here at least once a week. Great food. Great service. Great people. I've never had a bad experience here. This is definitely me and my wife's go to place to eat. It's easy to call in your order and pick up from the drive through too.

Haven't had anything I didn't enjoy from Summer Kitchen. Don't forget to pick up a desert to go...there are so many great options it'll be hard to chose.

The food was ok, but they don't really make good hash browns. I had the breakfast casserole and the hash browns were like luke warm matchsticks. If I'm in the neighborhood I'd drop in for something else, probably, but I wouldn't make a special trip out to eat here. The service was top notch, and their iced tea was excellent!

Gave my order to someone else, hashbrown's were a bit undercooked and didn't cook my steak as requested. Otherwise, I'm willing to give them another opportunity.

This place always has great food and fast service! I usually get takeout and you just call and order anything on menu and usually only takes 10-15 minutes, and can pick up at their drive thru. Always hot and always takes great! Favorite place to eat!

The food is top notch. The cinnamon rolls are delish!!! Eggs were decent and seemed like real eggs. The waitress was very friendly and great refilling coffee and waters.

Loved it. Mom said the coffee was just right. Liked it so much I have been there two more times recently.

Busy, and there was a short wait for a table for 5, but once seated we had a great server named Ben, and the food was delivered quickly from the kitchen. Portions were very good, and the food was delicious.

Great Food, Service...the Pies & Cakes were definitely a treat! So Stop in for a great slice of Pie, Cake, lemon bars, brownies, muffins or whatever else they maybe serving up that day!! Breakfast was delicious & Hot and the Coffee very good!

The two twin hosts were really nice and welcoming and nice to my 3 ornery children. The one issue I had was I was sat next to a person who defected in his pants. The smell was so horrendous I couldn’t eat my food. When I asked to speak to their manager they brought out some 14 year old girl. I was furious and my kids are now homophobic due to the fact the person who defected is gay. I am not pleased and now my children are being cancelled on twitter. You have lost a customer!

The only reason I have the food a4 is that the muffins were not as good as I thought they used to be. Everything else was very good. Glad we found this one because we used to go to the one on Maple alot.

Always super food. This time, I did carry out and was not impressed with the young lady who thought she needed to argue with me. That is a first, the waiters and waitresses are ALWAYS super nice and helpful.

My friends and family and I eat here fairly often and are pleased with the food and service. We mostly eat here for breakfast- the Denver omelet and the potato casseroles are really good options. We also frequent the drive-through to purchase drinks- the Red Bull Spritzers are amazing but at $7 a piece we can't afford them to often unfortunately!

We eat here regularly when we are in La Vista. This last trip we ate both Saturday and Sunday mornings, and per usual both were exceptional experiences. The breakfast selection is top notch and the amount of food is such that you won’t leave hungry (and may leave with a container)! On the second morning I was in the mood for a burger, and they serve both breakfast and lunch at any time of day. That patty melt and fries for breakfast was another excellent meal. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Food tasted great. Service was awesome, we chose to leave a big tip. Atmosphere was lacking alittle, cause a couple of tables were to close. I was uncomfortable because a lady was looking over my shoulder at my phone. I just put my phone away.

I ordered one of the potato casseroles in a small. I did NOT like that they made it with greasy hashbrowns. I would have given a 5 star had it been actual potatoes. Service was mediocre. Angelfood muffin amazing, carrot cake was good. It was busy for 1pm

Horble Experience!!! My bacon came out greasy and limp, so my server offered to swap it out for sausage links. I asked that it be well done, which was far from the case. So when Mrs Rude came back to the table, she asked how she was, and I had hidden the spit out sausage and the other under cooked link under the napkin. I then simply said, "Please bring me my check, I just want to go home." she raised her voice with her response. No one likes to be scolded! Bad food.. worst service! Who's going to say cute a slice of that? Won't go back!

Good place for what I would consider "comfort" food. Food was good and service was amazing. Nothing fancy but, it was what I needed and wanted at the time.

Very nice cafe for breakfast. The menu has quite a few choices, but none that appealed to me immediately. Went with the 3 eggs meal. It was satisfying. My hash browns were not cooked quite all the way, but everything was good. The ham was not too salty which is always nice.

Great food with great portion sizes. Very tasty, too. They have a large menu selection. Ben was an awesome server. Only one negative would be the booth we sat in. It may be time for an upgrade. We sank a bit and could feel the frame. Other than that, super experience and will definitely return.

Liked the restaurant. Service was excellent with very intentive staff. Chicken stir fry had I bit to much sauce. All American burger was delish. Strawberry cake dessert was very good.
