Good food the location needs updating,

Our kids had been looking forward to lunch here for a week, but they wouldn't serve us. Say goodbye to 40 paying customers who will NEVER go back.

EXCELLENT food and service. A local hidden treasure!

If you love microwaved meats look no further. This is your jam read no further. If not, read away folks. This spot is an adventure. Not like a goonies adventure but more like a trip to the DMV. This was, by far not only the worst Cuban food but the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Walking into this joint I thought, this is my kind of place. No frills, pics of the food and menu looked great. Sat down and ordered the fried pork chunks with a side of rice and plantains. Service was slow which I try to be patient with. I’ve worked in service for years and give these folks a break. It’s hard work. However, in the next hour the food hadn’t arrived. No check in by a server for drinks etc. More than an hour later the entire dining room had turned tables when our “food” arrived. It was beyond inedible. First off the pork chunks which were advertised as similar to lechon was a MICROWAVED slab of tough as nail pork with some microwaved onions on top. Never touched a grill. The sweet plantains were so hard you could hammer a nail with them and colder than my ex wife’s soul. My buddy ordered a Spanish tortilla. It was some French fries with scrambled eggs on top. We tried no more than a bite of the meat and after chewing it long enough to read the entirety of War and Peace we turned to the plantains, I think I chipped a tooth. Is this used to build hurricane proof structures? The rice…. My god, it’s rice! How does one knacker this? It was completely cold, somehow mealy and crunchy in a bad way. After about 15 min after we asked for the bill the server asked if we wanted a to go box we politely declined and said we were sorry but the food was absolutely terrible. She laughed and walked away. Until then we hadn’t issued a complaint let alone a bad look to the service. I have never, ever, not once not left a tip at a restaurant. We left zero tip and left just happy to put the experience behind us.

Terrible service, terrible hosts. They claim to close at 9pm we got there at 8:25pm and they wouldn't let us order from the menu. They asked us to choose from some items they've had under the heating lamp all day. I will never visit the place again or even recommend to anyone visiting. They need all new employees......

All it's good for is cuban coffee nowadays. It used to be a really great place some years ago.

We stopped in for lunch with a group of teenagers. The menu has something for everyone. Most of us ordered the Cubano sandwich, and it did not disappoint! First of all this thing is big. Piled with generous roasted pork and ham, swiss cheese, and mustard. And the bread is no bystander in this sandwich. The whole thing is grill pressed, with some of the cheese oozing out and getting grilled too. I added some extra mustard and hot sauce. A sweet, creamy cortadito to drink. We also shared some fried yucca and plantains. Delicious!

Chicken tasted too dry for me. Rice is like those indian rice, quite dry also. Maybe other finds it ok but not for me.

We had an exceptional dining experience at this cozy spot. Arriving just before the crowd, we were lucky to get a table. Despite being the only one on the floor, our waitress was impressive—managing every table with ease and a smile. The breakfast menu offered classic Cuban dishes, all served in generous portions and perfectly cooked. For me, the highlight was their freshly squeezed orange juice—absolutely delightful. Highly recommend for a hearty and satisfying meal!

I have had great Cuban food in Miami for decades but this tiny locals favorite has stolen my heart. Delicious, authentic, fresh and stick to your ribs!! From breakfast sandwich melts to Ropa vieja, Arroz con pollo rice and beans- to scrumptious Guava pastries and cafe con leche. Super amazing employees and the prices can’t be beat for the servings are generous… AAAAAAAA+++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Cuban coffee and empanadas are amazing! Friendly atmosphere and the least expensive place around to eat. You can’t beat it!

Shame they claim to be a cuban bakery. I am cuban live in miami Super bad food we ordered over 7 sandwiches and more it was dry the cuban sandwiches not cuban and dry. Fish sandwiches old etc. I hate that a non cuban person will go here and try this lie if a cuban place. Plus super expensive for low and nasty quality food

real Cuban food. we go there for the Cuban bread, but they have some groceries and a service area for hot food for takeout or dine in. while there saw guy buying several trays of takeout food. they do have a beer fridge there as well.

My wife just wanted to find a place to grab a Cuban coffee on our drive! We stopped here, and were blown away! She got her Colada (two, actually!), and we got delicious breakfast sandwiches on amazing Cuban bread, AND I got a Cuban sandwich to go! If you're ever anywhere nearby, you MUST check it out. Thank me later. Peace✌🏻

Always stop in to get some Cuban bread to take home. It's always great. I got breakfast this time; I believe it was a Spanish omelette. It was kind of bland and a little overcooked. Not a typical "omelette". The iced cafe con leche was excellent.

We had cook your catch. It comes with 2 sides per pound of fish. We chose fried and red beans and rice, yucca, black beans, red beans, and rice. The price couldn't be beat compared to other places. The cuban sandwich was also amazing! Don't forget the cuban coffee!

I loved the service and the food

Went and got 2 medium Cuban coffees for the wife and I. The total was $8.57, at least at Starbucks you know their prices. I should have just made Black Rifle coffee at the house, it would have been so much better. Highly disappointed and won’t go back.

Went here and eggs were extremely under cooked my boyfriend had to pick out the uncooked part. Everything was absolutely disgusting the bacon and the bread were the only good things. The water tasted like tap water. We asked the chef to recook the eggs as well and they came back out looking exactly the same. Don’t come here not with the money.

this is the best food i've ever had in my life. no exaggeration, real stuff. the croqueta dipped in black beans is my new all time favorite food. this place is real, authentic, delicious, cheaper priced.

I had the beef empanadas, which were below average. The crust was not crispy and did not like the meat seasoning. My wife had the palomillo steak. It was bland, and had to be made up with a salt, pepper, and lime. Service was very slow. The waitress appeared to be overwhelmed and was impatient and short when asked questions. The restaurant is set inside a wide-open room in an an older building with very little character. There appeared to be a lot of locals there getting the traditional cuban fares such as ropa vieja, rice and beans. But if you want decent service and to try other dishes this place is not for you. There are plenty of better choices for Cuban food in the area.

Excellent food and service! The staff that I worked with spoke Spanish as their primary language so that was a little intimidating for me when I first walked in as I only speak English, but they made me feel very welcome to their establishment and helped me with placing my order. They were all very nice. Best Cuban Sandwich I have ever had in my entire life. Generous portion size, and the bread was absolutely perfect. Would definitely go back and try the other dishes on the menu if I am ever in the area again!

If they don't know you, they don't treat you as well. They didn't even greet me and I found the food undesirable. They also didn't have soap in the bathroom to wash hands.

This is a very authentic Cuban restaurant. I love that it’s low-key and good prices. Fast service, and a very authentic Cuban sandwich. That was pure perfection.

Excellent, authentic Cuban breakfast in simple surroundings. Cheap, filling and very tasty. Can't beat this combination... Don't expect luxury or quaint environs, and you won't be disappointed.

I’d go somewhere else if I had it to do over again. It’s just meh…and I’m not picky. I’m pretty sure I too got the tourist price mentioned by another reviewer, but I paid it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend their breakfast…the bacon in the egg, cheese, bacon breakfast sandwiches was so fatty you couldn’t chew it. One positive note, the bread was fresh. The ham and cheese croissant was better than the other breakfast sandwich. Ample parking and easy to get into and out of.

Every time I go the older guy is just so rude. My significant other does not speak Spanish so I do most of the talking but we speak English amongst ourselves which seems to bother this guy for an unknown reason. He will purposefully take forever to get my to go order ready and help other people who arrived after me before me. The food is good but there are other places where I can get Cuban food and where they will treat me like a paying customer rather than a nuisance.

Amazing food and friendly service. Casual dining. Wife and I raving about cuban sandwich here. Likely best we've ever eaten. Great home made bread, huge portions of pulled pork, and ham and cheese. Just the right amount of mayo mustard and pickles. They do a traditional meat and 2 that also looked great. We did Flan for desert. Best ever too. FYI the sandwich pics were a single cuban that we SPLIT!! Massive portions. Prices very reasonable. You won't be disappointed.

I was just passing by and needed some coffee. Staff was friendly but coffee wasn’t that good. I was expecting better, but the waitress told the coffee machine been giving them issues lately, at least she was honest about that. Place is a bit outdated. Didn’t go inside since I order through the “Little window” or la ventanita as we Cubans call it. But the outsides were in need of some attention, maybe some pressure cleaning and painting.

Food is OK. Service is terrible. The girl that waited on me acted annoyed that I was in there and couldn’t speak her language and how dare I ask a few questions. She was on her phone, Not helpful at all. I’ve gone several times, the service is always like this. I will take my business elsewhere. The food is OK but definitely doesn’t blow your socks off. I like to go somewhere where the people are happy for my business and don’t treat me as if I am being an annoyance.

What a sweet place! I ordered from the outside window and took my food next door to the park. The breakfast sandwich I ordered was large and I'll eat the rest later, lol!

Terrible service, I ordered a pan with suckling pig to be prepared and I told the attendant that I only had ten minutes because I'm working. With bad form, he told me that I had to pay it and they hadn't even done it. "YOU HAVE TO PAY IT BECAUSE I'M NOT GOING TO PAY IT" is what he told me. And I responded, "IF I PAY FOR IT AND I HAVE TO LEAVE, WHO WILL EAT IT? YOU?" First time and last time I stop at this place, the bathrooms are terrible too

When we drove up other people were streaming out of the door with the bread they just purchased. A good sign. We got cafe and pastries. So flaky and good and still warm. I go to the Keys for the cafe. Seriously.

Ever feel like you're being ripped off because you're a tourist or white? I did when I came here this morning. $40 for 2 large cuban coffees, a breakfast sandwich and a regular breakfast with ham and hash browns. I looked at the receipt...thought "when in rome" and let's support local business... only to see and overhear them whisper to each other about how they pulled one over on me. Hablo espanol. Decided to wait til I got home to complain to the world and encourage potential customers to avoid this sketchy place. Disappointed.

The food was excellent, and the service was great by our server, but at the moment we stepped in, the cashier asked us what we wanted, and then she asked us to get sited if we wanted to be attended, not in a good mood. We saw a not that cleaned place, tables were just good. I could give them another opportunity later.

They have the best fresh baked cuban bread! We bought tons throughout our trip. The pork sandwich easily feeds two people and is super flavorful! I have eaten a lot of cuban food and was not a fan of their papa rellenas or empanadas. The beef mixture has a sweet note that did work for me. Service and prices are great. Super clean facility and restrooms. Can't wait to go back!

This place makes the BEST COFFEE. You have to try the cortadito (Cuban espresso). Your eye may twitch afterward, but you won't care. You have to eat it with a guava and cheese pastry. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! My family had a breakfast sandwich, and they said the roll was best they ever had. Go back for lunch and dinner. They have a lot of options to choose from. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking.
