Best sushi in Miami, and fun experience

Amazing sushi! Amazing service! Amazing experience! I’m so glad my hubby and I went to check this place out for date night (6-28-‘24). I googled “best sushi” near me and this was the highest rated place. I’ve once we arrived I realized I had been here years ago when it was a different sushi restaurant. We were the first customers to arrive right as they opened at 6:30. We got the VIP treatment! We met the chef, Kenny and the waitress, Sydney (I apologize if I misspelled your name). They were both so friendly and kind. It was great getting to know them. They have a wide variety of wines and sake. I had a glass of the Pinot Grigio. My husband had a Japanese beer that he’d never heard of, but really liked. We were offered an organic cucumber salad as a free starter, but I personally don’t like sweetened cucumbers. Give it a try if you’re into that. For dinner we shared the sashimi platter, the orgasm roll, and a roll with 4 tuna pieces and 4 sushi pieces. Everything was SO GOOD! I highly recommend the orgasm roll! The fish was fresh, tasty and perfectly mixed with the other ingredients to create a delicious and delightful experience! Our chef, Kenny, also preforms on the guitar when he gets the opportunity. We didn’t have the pleasure of hearing him play that night. Hopefully soon.

A hidden gem! I have sushi often - Sushi Bay can hang with the best of ‘em. 👏🏻 Such great quality and good prices. The fish was so fresh and delicious. Kenny, the owner, pays so much attention to detail in his food and works hard to make sure your preferences, allergies, etc are taken into account. All around a really kind and friendly guy - makes you feel like a regular even just coming to grab takeout for the first time :)

The sushi is delicious! One of my fav tempura rolls, great service, and the karaoke room is stunning!!!!

Update: Kenny is still the absolute BEST! We made dinner reservations for Valentine's Day and Kenny made us all feel so special, again. The food was spectacular. We can't wait to go back! What an amazing Sushi experience. I have to say that this is probably the best Sushi I’ve had in Miami. Kenny gives out great energy and this reflects directly on the food, it is delicious. Definitely a come back place.

Sushi Bay has been my favorite sushi spot to go for a little over 2 years now! I’ve gone to many boujee sushi places around Miami but this place is IT. You get miami city quality for a decent price here in Palmetto Bay. I can’t even pick what to recommend because everything, I MEAN EVERYTHING is so freaking good. There’s even omakase nights, it’s a must do. I’ve gotten a pleasure to get to know the chef Kenny. Great guy. I can see the passion and attention to detail to each thing he makes and the taste of his food speaks volumes. What can I say? Just come and experience Sushi Bay for yourself!

Best sushi, hands down. Everything is delicious and quality is unmatched. The owner and chef Ken is amazing and this spot is the best kept secret in south Miami.

I love the food, it is the most exquisite I have ever eaten in my entire life. Its flavor is uffff, like going to heaven. It tastes very, very good. I love this place. In addition to the service, it is super. I would come again a thousand times.

Hands down the best tasting sushi I’ve had. This place has better quality sushi than all of those chain restaurants in miami, and this place is a little cheaper. The owner is a very nice and friendly guy too.

This is an experience. You cannot come here in a rush, but it’s worth it for Omakase. Great food, and Kenny is a wonderful and interesting guy.

My wife and I order take out from here at least once a week and are always happy and satisfied with our meal. The atmosphere is amazing and the owner Ken, is not only an amazing sushi chef but extremely personable. You can tell he is passionate about his restaurant and his craft. The sushi is hands down the best sushi in the area. Our menu highlights are the spicy tuna roll, crispy rice, orgasm roll, and the crab rangoon!

Awesome place, great service and delicious sushi! My wife and I were looking for a place to eat after 10pm and we found this hidden gem. We ordered the Crab Rangoon for appetizer, the Key West roll, the Rock & Roll roll and some Sake.

Needed a new local sushi place to try and glad I found this place. Food is delicious and well priced. The ambiance and vibe made the place that much better. Kenny, the owner, was amazing and so attentive. Will definitely be making Sushi Bay a regular dinner spot. I recommend making reservations if you are dining in.

This spot is amazing. If you are looking for a comfortable spot for some spectacular sushi, this is it. Kenny is so personable and very talented. He chatted with us throughout dinner and made a point to learn our names. We will definitely be regular here!

Was not impressed. Very little food and prices are ridiculous. Food was ok. Left dissatisfied. Will not be visiting this place again. Anyone giving this place 5 stars has never had good sushi. No wait staff. Not sure why we tipped. No food for kids.

Although Sushi Bay Miami boarders Cutler Bay & Palmetto Bay, which really aren’t small towns, you get BIG TOWN, Miami Beach, Downtown Miami, QUALITY - FLAVOR & EXPERIENCE for a low PRICE! This place is the epitome of the “best sushi”. The humble owner works his tail off ensuring every dish that goes out is of top notch. I’m talking from the appetizer, cucumber salad to the rolls, Sarah sunshine, one of my many favorites! Even the tap water is triple filtered. Don’t quote me on that though, I know it’s filtered. For crying out loud the fake crab “Kani” sushi lovers eat that everyone else offers, he doesn’t because it breaks down the quality and flavor of the rolls. What does he use instead? I’m glad you asked, REAL LUMP CRAB! Do yourself a favor, give Sushi Bay Miami a call for a reservation or call to make sure they aren’t PACKED, you will not regret it.

Chef Kenny G offers an iconic experience with his personal creations that he makes with attention and to his own delight. You cannot ask for a better sushi chef who much of his creativity and enthusiasm into each creation. Please tell what you think because he is eager to know what you think and what's you to be as proud as he is for every roll. And they are all totally worth it! Bravo Chef Kenny!

The most amazing customer service! Not only was the sushi amazing and gluten free but the chef & owner ken personally made the food for our party. He is amazing the food is spectacular and the place is soo clean! To say the least it’s the best sushi in all of the east coast hands down! This place is family friendly and very welcoming. He’s also open for late night delivery too.
